Penny Drip - this is a quaint little place downtown Fort Wayne. It is unique and has a bit of character. The type you must try once. You will find Penny Drip on the corner of Lafayette and Berry streets. Lafayette only goes south. Berry only goes west. Penny Drip has four parking spots off Lafayette. So you may have to go around the block to park. The building can be confusing. The first door us a barber shop. Enter at the patio - which would be great on a nice summer's evening. The inside is small. There are a limited number of two and four people tables. Mostly rail style bar stools. Inside is relaxing. So it isn't uncommon for someone to camp out with their book or PC fir a while. Penny Drip has a variety of simple food and drink items. We haven't tried the food. On this occasion we had coffee and a specialty drink. The coffee was served in a nice large ceramic cup. Great for a warm comforting beverage. The bubble gum rose iced drink was very creative. Cool, refreshing and tasty!

I had to find a spot to work remotely for a couple hours, and Penny Drip was the best option. Very walkable area, I had beautiful weather and they opened the garage windows. I was only visiting but I would definitely go back and spend a day catching up with friends. Coffee was amazing as well.

Drinks are very good! It is more of a self serve restaurant. Prices are decent. Not a huge selection for food but the food all has great flavor. Very small inside, so not good for a big group.

Visited with a friend and tried the Cowboy Coffee amazing, especially with the logo ice cubes! Pretzels with beer cheese were delicious, and the chicken ricotta sandwich was flavorful with a refreshing salad. Friendly staff and great service. Can't wait to come back

Fresh salad with lots of flavor. Solid portion size, I had enough to leftover to snack on it later in the day.

Penny Drip is one of our favorite coffee shops in Fort Wayne! I love that their menu changes with the season and there always seems to be something new with unique flavors. There's indoor and outdoor seating for when the weather is nice. It is the perfect little stop after enjoying the farmers market in the summer. The staff always seem so friendly and personable with great recommendations.

Industrial-style bar and cafe with a chai spice aroma encapsulating the space. Things you should know: I. PARKING There is a free, private parking lot to the left of the building, sharing spaces with the neighboring barber shop. Easy and convenient. Plenty of spots open around 1pm on a weekday! II. SERVICE Timely III. QUALITY The black Americano I ordered here isn't as dense and acidic as I'm used to. A little watered down but the price is unbeatable..! Then again, I'm visiting from metro Atlanta, so prices in Fort Wayne, in general, seem more affordable..! IV. CAPACITY Fair amount of available seating around 1pm on a weekday. Seems like a good spot to camp out and knock out some work or catch up with friends. It's not too loud either.

We needed a little caffeine before a late show, so our options were limited. But we were so lucky to stumble upon Penny Drip. Loved the vibe here and the bartenders/baristas were awesome. Drinks were fairly inexpensive. We had a matcha latte and a pistachio cappuccino. Both delicious. Definitely stop in here!

Phenomenal little spot in downtown Fort Wayne to get coffee, teas, drinks, and finger foods. Inside seats approximately 26, but there's also outside seating. Only downside is the service is a little slow, but if you're going to get coffee or drinks, you shouldn't be in a hurry anyway.

Very hipster place. There's a barber shop connected to it, which is a smart idea. They had some food and desserts, but most of the menu is just drinks. Banana Bread Latte - Espresso was smooth, but it's lacking in flavor. It had an aftertaste that kind of tasted like banana bread, but that might be a stretch. 2/5 stars. Miel Latte - Espresso was smooth as well, but this one I couldn't taste much honey or cinnamon. It's like buying a grocery store drink out of a carton. 1/5 stars. $7-8 is pricy for an artisan coffee drink, especially when United or Mocha Lounge is cheaper and they taste better. Very disappointing. Maybe the alcoholic drinks are better, but I don't drink. The couple next to us got desserts, but they didn't seem to enjoy it. The bartenders put on a nice show. 2 stars, one for the smooth espresso and one for the bartenders.

Penny Drip is such a fun spot! Yesterday we went for a drink after a movie at The Cinema Center -- had a Cowboy Coffee, which was tasty and balanced. I love that you can always get a coffee or a cocktail and both are delicious, and $5 Old Fashioneds on Tuesdays make for a nice tradition! The menu is small, but complete. I have had a great salad there, yummy pretzel bites with cheese, the pickle pizza (YUM!) and an outstanding breakfast sandwich. Plus, the my servers are always very helpful and friendly!

Cool spot downtown FW - anything from coffee to beer and breakfast sandwiches to lunch options. Bar seating, high tops and low top tables as well as some tucked away couch seating for more private/quiet space if needed. Service is great, food is great, atmosphere is great, only insider tip might be to prepare for street parking as the attached lot has limited space.

She made great recommendations and helped us decide based on our time constraints. She was attentive and gave us a lot of information about the food, live music, DJ and art for sale on all the walls. We weren't super hungry, so we tried the flatbread - sooo good. I will be back because the whole menu, including the drinks, sound wonderful. They offered zero spirit, GL and other substitutions if needed which is nice. The atmosphere has a moody, darker hang out vibe to it. I loved it and can't wait to bring some friends and family back! She recommended reservations on the weekends, especially on "First Fridays" as that's when they do events and an art crawl on Broadway when the weather is nice. We parked on the street in front of the building so I'm not sure if there is a parking lot. They do have outdoor seating as well in the front of the building. I remember when this location was a food co-op waaaaaaay back in the day. They did a great job transforming it into a relaxing bar and restaurant. We will go back and I highly recommend you check it out!

But then you're presented with this shiny chandelier, illuminating this wide chamber, and hovering over a smooth, curved bar. The sides of this huge dining space are lined with dining tables, and walls lined with artwork, making the name quite appropriate. Subtle haloes of light dot the ceiling, and the color palette of the place (besides that big ol' chandelier) is dark, cool, and easy on the eyes. I took a seat at the main bar and was served within minutes. I enjoyed some light pop, rap, and classic rock tunes bumping in the background while I sipped on a delightful Smoked Apple Reserve. Every sip was a punch of sweetness, followed by an air of smokiness, and just a splash of herby aftertaste. It was however, not the kind of drink you could chug, so I sipped slowly throughout my meal. I'll have to come back for the appetizers, as I hear they're the star of the show, but neither the flatbreads nor the traditional bar-fare excited me. Thanks to Yelp though, I learned of the Blueberry and Brie Grilled Cheese, which I'd initially dismissed due to my dislike of Brie - the cheese and her portrayal of Captain Marvel, let's be honest. But I gave it a chance and ~woah~ it was something else. First of all, it's a perfectly cooked grilled cheese, with a flaky, crunchy exterior and addictingly cheesy inside, however I was ~taken aback~ by the flavor. I think I honestly had a Ratatouille moment, where that flavor of berry compote transported me to my childhood, chowing down on blueberry pancakes on Friday morning before school. At the same time, it doesn't dominate the flavor profile - it adds a subtle and satisfying sweetness to the creamy richness of the melted Brie, and it does it oh so well. The plentiful pieces of proscuitto provided some palatable protein, while also being a contrast in flavor and feel to the Berry and Brie. The fries were a little heavy on the straight potato flavor and not so much on seasoning and salt, but some garlic aioli did the trick there. The service was superb and the atmosphere was nothing like I've experienced in this city. I didn't expect to love this place as much as I did, but I can't wait to come back to try more apps, drinks, and return to that beautiful blueberry and brie...

The salmon was jerk, salmon, and the whole thing was a delicious repast. We had a appetizer of a couple bowls of their homemade chips. Unlike many places that don't salt them. These were salted just the right amount not too salty and I can't say anything bad about it. Our server was terrific and his name was Alex and the place is shaping up. Spoke + Ivy (west Main Street, FW) - another locally unique dinning experience that deserves a try…read more Spoke + Ivy is located on west Main Street - across the parking lot from Redwood Inn restaurant, if that helps. This restaurant is set in an old building that used to house a pharmacy. It retains the character of the building via the hardwood interiors, tall ceilings, large window views of the street and concrete/industrial ceilings. The interior is nicely decorated with inviting green, brown wood and black accent colors. Table settings were very attractive as well. You can park in the small side lot or on the street. Reservations are easily made on line. The team is very friendly and welcoming. All set the stage for a fun and relaxing dinner experience. Spoke + Ivy has a very small food and specialty cocktail menu. This is the second time we have been here. Each time we found the food to be delicious and the cocktails are uniquely designed. Here is a run down on the food items we ordered: -Focaccia Bread: a mildly sweet, dense/firm bread, slightly airy with a touch of herbs to accent. It is cut into blocks so it is easier to share. The vodka sauce is thin in consistency with a smooth Italian seasoned tomato appeal. Both make for a deliciously simple starter. -Lobster Roll Rangoon: decided to give this a try. It comes out as one large Rangoon - not individual pieces. This means that you must awkwardly cut this shareable into pieces. The slightly crispy & oily wrapper is similar to most crab Rangoon pieces. It has a nice crisp. The inside has shredded pieces of lobster. It was not filled with creme cheese sauce like traditional rangoons - just plain. The green lemon parsley sauce was simply outstanding! It's very fresh, moderately thick and has a slightly tart taste. This added "the sauce" to what the inside of the Rangoon was lacking. -Milanese: nicely breaded chicken that was very moist. The breading is slightly sweet. The fresh bed of arugula salad is a nice add -Prime Rib Pho: this sounded really interesting. It's a smaller/healthier dish. The medium rare prime rib was sliced thin and tender. There wasn't many pieces of prime rib in this dish. The add-ins were fresh and much like you would expect from a Pho dish - just not as much volume. The broth has a chili oil base that gives it a spicier flavor. Overall we really enjoy this relaxed atmosphere and character of the building. The delicious food and cocktails are excellent.

We did not get drinks or appetizers. Our meals were very good (salmon and chicken). The server was good but didn't refill my water and that' a big deal to me.
