    Cream of Kentucky

I'm glad we gave this place a second chance. Last time we were here, we walked out because we couldn't get waited on. Tonight, we sat at the bar for some drinks and got fantastic service and the drinks were great. We had the Smoked Old Fashioned and I finished with a neat pour of Cream of Kentucky. Do not miss out on this one. For the money, probably one of the best on their list. Hate we got in there late tonight, as the vibe in there was very laid back at the bar.

2nd visit to Copper Spoon did not disappoint. From the friendly check in, competent service and delicious food, the CS continues to be one of my favorite spots in Fort Wayne. Tried the salted cod fritters which were light and tasty. I had a salad and steak tartar for my entree which was just the right amount of food for a light dinner. My coworker had the cioppino which she enjoyed very much and agreed that the copper spoon is one of his favorite spots in the city as well.

What an amazing experience at The Copper Spoon! This was our first time here, but definitely won't be the last. We stopped by for cocktails and dessert after dinner, and everything was outstanding. The drinks were top-notch, and the service was impeccable. Since we're visiting from out of town, our waiter even gave us a card with recommendations for the best local spots to check out. Such a thoughtful touch!

Parents came to visit so we took them to copper spoon this weekend. Being new to the city myself, I wasn't sure what to expect, but wow! The entrance is an experience alone. It feels luxurious and speakeasy-esque. Music and patron volume was balanced for a busy Saturday night. We all had cocktails/mocktails and they were all incredible and beautiful. I ordered a glass of wine part way through dinner and our server also brought me an additional wine to sample just because (without me asking)! My dad said the beef tartare was one of the best he's had in a while. My boyfriend and I did the valentines special for two. We had most amazing manchego and Cara Cara orange salad, shrimp and lobster bisque, a perfectly med-rare 20 oz porterhouse steak, and a raspberry chiffon cake. I have to say, I have had my fair share of nice steaks but I'll never get over the simple detail of cutting it for us; so thoughtful and precise. My parents had the scallops and chicken entree and the chocolate sea salt cookie and I may have also ordered one to go... Our server was Rico (it may have been Ricky) and he was polite and personable. Our bill was a bit over $300 but everything was well worth it and I'd happily pay that again for a meal like that.

Some dishes are great, and some are misses. Service was good. This place is more for those that drink alcohol. The boyfriend said the drinks were spot on. He had a Caipirinha and a seasonal cucumber drink, and he loved both. I don't drink, and their non-alcohol menu is $14 for a mocktail, so that's a hell no for me. Water is $0 and my choice. The drinks are crazy pricey, but I guess it's worth trying one, if you're a drinker. Appetizers: Pierogies - $18 - This is a must have. They are delicious, and nothing like the crappy frozen ones everyone has tried at the grocery store. Very good, everyone should try this. 5/5 stars. Chicken Wings - $16 - They are supposed to be korean bbq flavored, whatever that means. They are ok, but just ok. The first one I tried was a drum that was way overcooked, but every other wing was cooked perfectly. The flavor is more delicate, and it doesn't taste like much, which I don't expect when I hear korean bbq. I personally wouldn't get it again. Most of the stars comes from how well the wings were cooked (minus my first wing). 3/5 stars. Entrees: House of Tallow Burger - $18 - So the boyfriend wanted to go all out. He got a triple patty (+$4), add the egg on top (+$2), and added the potatoes and aioli (+2) on the side. This was the heaviest but most delicious burger you'll ever eat. You might as well go all out too, because the price is pretty reasonable, and the flavor is just outstanding. But, it will sit heavy on your stomach for awhile. 5/5 stars. Tuna Poke Bowl - $24 - Here, again, we have a problem with delicate and lacking of flavor. The tuna was fine, no fishy flavor. The problem is the rest of the bowl. The rice was wet, like really really wet. It's supposed to come with gochujang aioli, but I didn't taste any of it. I think I saw a little bit of it, but most of it was put on the already wet rice. I didn't see any chili oil either. I've had many poke bowls in my life, and this is just a bad attempt at a poke bowl. I guess 1 star for the tuna, and I feel like I'm being generous with the one star. Don't get this dish. 1/5 stars. Desserts: Seasonal Apple Dessert - $10? I forget - This was pretty good. Nice pastry, good sugar coated nuts, and good bourbon caramel sauce. I'd eat this again. 5/5 stars. Vanilla Cheesecake - $10 - Disgusting. Something went absolutely wrong here. It tastes like someone forgot to add sugar and eggs. The raspberry sauce was good, and the vanilla cream was good. The cheesecake was absolutely horrible. The waitress was kind enough to take it off our bill. This was inedible, that's how bad the cheesecake was. I hope someone screwed up making it, because if this is the normal taste, you should stay far far away. 0/5 stars. As I said, some were hits, but the misses were really misses. It would be nice if they had a drink menu for those that can't drink alcohol, but I guess I'm stuck with water. No, a $14 mocktail menu does not count. Get the pierogies, burger, and whatever the special seasonal dessert they have. Skip the wings, poke bowl, and definitely skip the cheesecake. Oh, the atmosphere was interesting. Dark theme, but there's some lights for the table. We were first sat at a table where the lights shining on the table were very bright and hurting our eyes. We had to move a table over where the lights didn't reflect so much.

I've been here several times and they never fail to impress me. With so many interesting cocktails to choose from, deciding what to drink is always a challenge for me. That being said, you can't go wrong! As far as food is concerned, the baron burger is huge and comes with the most addicting fried potatoes. And if you're trying to save room for more cocktails, I'd recommend the ceviche. The Mahi Mahi, mango, and avocado are a match made in heaven.

We went here based on someone's recommendation and it was an excellent decision! Their menu changes regularly so I'll just say- cocktail menu and food menu were both amazing. We sat in the bar area but the whole restaurant was great. A little pricey but the quality and service were excellent. We loved everything about it!

Absolutely phenomenal! The Hubbs and I were just in town for the weekend and wanted to make sure we hit the best spots. We did! The adult beverage list is pages and pages long, so I told our sever "dealers choice." She picked the Pornstar Martini and it was divine! The Hubbs likes to stick with his red blend, which he did, and was quite pleased. I landed on the seared yellowfin tuna. Holy wow. So good. Perfectly seared exterior with pink centers. The kimchi was divine. We got the lobster mac & cheese, sweet potatoes, and roasted baby carrots to share. Definitely recommend. Thankful this hotel has a mini fridge so we can snack later.

Outstanding house crafted cocktails, incredible filet, and a great atmosphere! Grab a seat at the bar and watch the bartenders perform their magic!

I came to Copper Spoon at the very end of July 2023. I came for a company dinner for management. We had just gone through another long day of non-stop meetings and we were all famished. I was excited we had reservations at the Copper Spoon, as this restaurant had been on my bookmarks for quite a long time. The reviews were great and I had heard the food here was delicious. I am still not sure if the current rating I will be giving it, 3 stars is correct, its borderline 2-3 stars and it was specifically about the service. The evening started out with out large party, i think we were about 20 people being led to our table. I absolutely loved the decor and ambience of the place. The building has to be old, as the roof work is very distinct. The dark woods, the wine bottles, the decor really give this place character. We had pretty much one area of the restaurant to ourselves, which was great. The server recommended this amazing cider to me and i took her advice. I thoroughly enjoyed the Vandermill Honey Crisp Cider. Everyone of course got their drink orders in as well and appetizers and the main course were ordered. The appetizers were great, but what I was really looking forward to was the main course. I got the ribeye steak but i got fingerling potatoes as my side with some chimichurri. I was salivating when I started seeing the main courses coming in, only to see I didn't get mine... i asked what happened and they said there must have been some mistake. I was one of two people in the party that didn't get their main course with everyone else. I waited 30 minutes to get my meal, as I watched everyone eat theres. I finally started eating my meal, when everyone either had finished theres or were finishing. Yeah i got an apology from the manager but, quite frankly, thats the very least you can do. Was the steak good? Yes, i absolutely loved it! It was well seasoned, juicy, perfection! You do not make someone wait half an hour after everyone else is served though. Least they could have done is offer something to make it up, heck a dessert, anything. I was thoroughly disappointed. Would I come back? Not sure. Loved the ambience, loved the food. But i did not feel like I mattered, and ultimately that is a heck of a hard thing to swallow.

This is a review for the Pop Up Christmas Bar, Miracle on Jefferson. This bar is such a fun holiday experience. It's located at Side Car, attached to Copper Spoon. The bar is covered for the pop up experience and typically stays pretty warm. There's few spots to sit, but several bar top tables to gather around. They have a coat rack where you can hang your coat at no charge. Bathrooms are located inside Copper Spoon. Any Christmas decoration you can think of is here. The Throne of Lies, the leg lamp, the Grinch, and more! The staff is pretty quick, but they are usually pretty busy. No food is served here, but the drinks are great! They are really pricey though. If you want a speciality mug, you have to order off the menu. However, they do sell their speciality mugs if you want to take it home!

But then you're presented with this shiny chandelier, illuminating this wide chamber, and hovering over a smooth, curved bar. The sides of this huge dining space are lined with dining tables, and walls lined with artwork, making the name quite appropriate. Subtle haloes of light dot the ceiling, and the color palette of the place (besides that big ol' chandelier) is dark, cool, and easy on the eyes. I took a seat at the main bar and was served within minutes. I enjoyed some light pop, rap, and classic rock tunes bumping in the background while I sipped on a delightful Smoked Apple Reserve. Every sip was a punch of sweetness, followed by an air of smokiness, and just a splash of herby aftertaste. It was however, not the kind of drink you could chug, so I sipped slowly throughout my meal. I'll have to come back for the appetizers, as I hear they're the star of the show, but neither the flatbreads nor the traditional bar-fare excited me. Thanks to Yelp though, I learned of the Blueberry and Brie Grilled Cheese, which I'd initially dismissed due to my dislike of Brie - the cheese and her portrayal of Captain Marvel, let's be honest. But I gave it a chance and ~woah~ it was something else. First of all, it's a perfectly cooked grilled cheese, with a flaky, crunchy exterior and addictingly cheesy inside, however I was ~taken aback~ by the flavor. I think I honestly had a Ratatouille moment, where that flavor of berry compote transported me to my childhood, chowing down on blueberry pancakes on Friday morning before school. At the same time, it doesn't dominate the flavor profile - it adds a subtle and satisfying sweetness to the creamy richness of the melted Brie, and it does it oh so well. The plentiful pieces of proscuitto provided some palatable protein, while also being a contrast in flavor and feel to the Berry and Brie. The fries were a little heavy on the straight potato flavor and not so much on seasoning and salt, but some garlic aioli did the trick there. The service was superb and the atmosphere was nothing like I've experienced in this city. I didn't expect to love this place as much as I did, but I can't wait to come back to try more apps, drinks, and return to that beautiful blueberry and brie...

This restaurant is set in an old building that used to house a pharmacy. It retains the character of the building via the hardwood interiors, tall ceilings, large window views of the street and concrete/industrial ceilings. The interior is nicely decorated with inviting green, brown wood and black accent colors. Table settings were very attractive as well. You can park in the small side lot or on the street. Reservations are easily made on line. The team is very friendly and welcoming. All set the stage for a fun and relaxing dinner experience. Spoke + Ivy has a very small food and specialty cocktail menu. This is the second time we have been here. Each time we found the food to be delicious and the cocktails are uniquely designed. Here is a run down on the food items we ordered: -Focaccia Bread: a mildly sweet, dense/firm bread, slightly airy with a touch of herbs to accent. It is cut into blocks so it is easier to share. The vodka sauce is thin in consistency with a smooth Italian seasoned tomato appeal. Both make for a deliciously simple starter. -Lobster Roll Rangoon: decided to give this a try. It comes out as one large Rangoon - not individual pieces. This means that you must awkwardly cut this shareable into pieces. The slightly crispy & oily wrapper is similar to most crab Rangoon pieces. It has a nice crisp. The inside has shredded pieces of lobster. It was not filled with creme cheese sauce like traditional rangoons - just plain. The green lemon parsley sauce was simply outstanding! It's very fresh, moderately thick and has a slightly tart taste. This added "the sauce" to what the inside of the Rangoon was lacking. -Milanese: nicely breaded chicken that was very moist. The breading is slightly sweet. The fresh bed of arugula salad is a nice add -Prime Rib Pho: this sounded really interesting. It's a smaller/healthier dish. The medium rare prime rib was sliced thin and tender. There wasn't many pieces of prime rib in this dish. The add-ins were fresh and much like you would expect from a Pho dish - just not as much volume. The broth has a chili oil base that gives it a spicier flavor. Overall we really enjoy this relaxed atmosphere and character of the building. The delicious food and cocktails are excellent.
