The service was great here. The fish was good but it was really greasy, but we loved the Cole slaw. Would have enjoyed it more if they had a liquor license. The decor and restaurant were clean and we had everything we needed at the table.

It's in a convenient location with plenty of seating. The waitress was friendly. However, the salad was a letdown and the bread was just okay. The fish was tasty, but it came out cold. I was looking forward to a Miller Lite, but it wasn't available on tap. The ranch dressing was a disappointment and didn't taste or taste like ranch. On the bright side, the clam trips were great.

Their awesome big ass cheeseburger n fries. BEST BURGER IN TOWN !! Thanks chef !!!

Husband wanted fish. This is our "go to" for fish. I was hungry for a burger. They gave both of the best imo.. There burgers are cooked to perfection. Still juicy and full of flavor. Just some cheese , onion n mayo. Delicious. Their cook knows how to make the best burger vI ever had. Oh and can't forget those crispy yummy fries. That being said both were better then the nasty crap I got at Burger-Fi at Jefferson Point on Monday. And cheaper too. You want great fish and the best 1/2 pounder burger go to Big Eyed Fish on Wells Street. Great cook and wait staff. Kind and friendly. Will always go there.

    MASSIVE margarita!

Haven't even left the restaurant yet, but HAD to leave a review right now because i am astonished with how wonderful this place is. The food was an AMAZING price, for a great quantity! Tasted delicious, and was cooked to perfection. Far better quality than any of your normal chain restaurants. Our server was attentive, proficient at her job, and super kind. Will look forward to coming back in the future!

My husband got the AYCE fish. Great deal! Those fries were soooo good!

My husband and I have date night every Sunday. We decided to go here on a whim this past Sunday. We have had the Big Eyed Fish Express and were not impressed at all. This one, completely different!! Everything was really really good!! My husband got the AYCE fish. I think he reordered 5 times and they came out pretty quick! I got the fish and shrimp dinner. It was great! The hush puppies and fries were fantastic!!! That coleslaw.... VERY good!! And bonus... PULL TABS!! We will definitely be back! Oh, our server was great too!! Overall 8.7/10

Best Buffalo Wings around. Hot, crispy, and spicy.

I'm going to step out on a limb here. They make better wings than the wing spots. Make it make sense. I've visited 3x in the last 30days. Each time I was presented a hot, crispy( I asked for crispy wings - I detest limp wings), flavorful wings. I've not been disappointed at all. I surprises me the fish joint does wings so well. That's all I order, lately. The cost is very effective. 12 wings for about 9.99 pre tax.

How is the clam chowder? Since Fish of Stroh left, we haven't found a place with decent clam chowder. It's mostly potato soup.

As a seafood lover, I was sold just based on the name alone The building itself is pretty cool. We were told it dates back to the 1880s and is the 2nd oldest building in Indiana behind some other one in Indianapolis. You can definitely feel the history when you walk in. The place is small, with only about 14 tables, and everything is packed in pretty tight, but that's part of what gives it character. The old bar immediately grabbed my attention and looked like it hadn't changed much in over a century We started with the Parmesan baked oysters, which were outstanding and surprisingly fresh for being in the Midwest The homemade clam chowder was loaded with clams and flavor. It was so good it didn't need anything added to it. We also ordered a couple of smoked Old Fashioneds that were a great way to start the night I wanted sea bass, but they were out, so I went with the walleye fish and chips. It's honestly hard for me to pass up fish and chips when they're on a menu, I'm glad I did. The fish was well-seasoned and on point My wife went with a seafood combo that included seafood au gratin, bay scallops, shrimp, crab, applewood bacon risotto, and baked in a lobster creamy sauce Being in Fort Wayne for just one night, this ended up being a great find. The food was excellent, the service was friendly (Shoutout Lindsay) and the whole place had a nostalgic feel that made the experience even better If you're passing through and in the mood for seafood or live locally, I'd definitely recommend checking it out!

A Letdown for Anyone Who Knows Hot Pot…read more Chose this for New Year's dinner over another spot. As someone who grew up with hot pot, this was a very disappointing experience. The Bad: · Broths: Tried 3 types. All were watery and completely bland. · Ingredients: Quail eggs were straight from a can. Crab had no meat. The only "noodles" were instant ramen packets. · Sauces: The dipping sauce station was out of cilantro--a main ingredient. · Drinks: The martini was amateurish and watered down. · Value: For the price, the quality is shockingly low. The (One) Positive: · The buffet does have a wide variety of frozen foods and seafood mix to choose from. Bottom Line: If you've never tried KBBQ/hotpot and just want the novelty, maybe. But if you know what good hot pot tastes like, save your money. You'll get better flavor and quality buying ingredients from an Asian grocery and cooking at home for a fraction of the price. I won't be returning.

Highly Recommended for Authentic Ramen!…read more I was looking for an authentic ramen place in town, and this spot came highly recommended--it did not disappoint! The Ramen: Truly authentic. You can tell by the broth, which tastes 100% homemade. It's not that MSG-heavy style that makes you want to drink a gallon of water afterward. I tried three different kinds, and all were outstanding. A standout was the cold noodle with a side of dipping soup--so interesting! You soak the noodles in the soup before eating. It might be a love-or-hate dish for some, but I found it unique . A Note: If you prefer a heavily seasoned, traditional American-style ramen (on the saltier side), this might differ from your expectation. Their flavors are more balanced and nuanced. Also Tried: The sushi was good--not outstanding, but reasonably priced with good portions and a fresh taste. Dessert Lovers, Listen Up! You must try the Fried Ice Cream. It made me feel like home! Hot, crispy, doughy outside with cold ice cream inside. So yummy!
