Chevvy's has some of the best pizza around! The atmosphere is really fun on the weekends -- lively and perfect for a night out. I haven't been during the week, so can't speak to that experience. The one downside is that they seem a bit short-staffed. On busy nights, wait times for drinks and food can be long, and it definitely seems to overwhelm the team. That said, the staff does their best under the pressure. If you're going for karaoke or pizza, it's a great spot -- just don't expect super quick service on a crowded night. read more

Chevvy's advertises that they are famous for their pizza. They have pizza as part of the business name on the building. So the pizza MUST be good! This was my first time ordering from Chevvy's. I've driven by their strategically located building for years. I've seen the pizza sign and thought I've got to give it a try. So i did!! Finding the entrance to the parking lot is a challenge as you have to enter from the north side. The place appears to be small on the outside but feels rather large on the inside. The bar takes a prominent place when you walk in. The bar tending team was very friendly and helpful. Chevvy's has a decent sized menu of specialty 12, 14 and 16 inch pizzas. The prices seem like they might be on the plus side of average die a hand tossed-thin type pizza. We went with the Everything pizza on this visit. The pizza crust is on the plus side of thin crust but not quite as thick as a hand tossed. It was baked to a nice soft and moist bottom side. The top side crust browned and crisped up nicely. This thickness is somewhat unique for Fort Wayne. The crust didn't have any distinct seasoning flavor. The tomato sauce has a nice sweet tomato paste flavor. You won't find much of the flavor on the pizza except in areas where the sauce got pooled. You pick up the taste more on the edge of bare pizza crust where there aren't many toppings. I thought the sauce was so good that I would probably order it with extra sauce the next time to make sure the whole pizza was accented with this flavor. The Everything pizza had plenty of fresh toppings. The toppings tended to pile up into layers more toward the middle of the pizza. The meats had a nice bolder flavor. The tasty mozzarella was decently thick to hold all the topping together yet thin enough that it didn't have that beautiful stringy pull apart stretch. Is Chevvy's famous for their pizza? They could be more famous if people knew about their thin crust and tasty pizza flavors. I'm sure those that have had Chevvy's pizza are more likely to tell others about it! Give it a try if you have not had a famous Chevvy's pizza! While trying their famous pizza I decided to sample the wings. Chevvy's is definitely NOT a destination for wings. You can find their 8 medium-large wings for $15 offering on the appetizer menu. They only offer four flavors of wings. Do not a destination but not bad. The wing was perfectly cooked. All white inside that was very moist and tender. They are briefly fried such that only the ends of the rings had any crispiness. The order comes with medium to large sized wings. Chevvy's only offers hot, mild, BBQ and teriyaki sauces. I went with the teriyaki. The sauce was thin in consistency but did a nice job at sticking to the wing. They dipped the wings in sauce so there was plenty of flavor. While the teriyaki flavor was mild...it did have a distinct teriyaki appeal. The appetizer came with three celery stick and your choice of ranch or blue cheese dressings. The blue cheese dressing was very thin and some small clumps of blue cheese crumbles mixed in. Not very appealing in my book. Overall...wings probably aren't Chevvy's claim to fame. Chevvy's isn't a destination for wings. However, if you are there, and you want some different that is on the menu...their wings aren't a bad choice. read more

We go a few times a week and yesterday was the worst. Horrible service. My shot was ok but the drinks taste like zero liquor in it. Got over charged and billed twice(still waiting for my $ back). Tuesdays seem to suck! Gonna stick to Wednesday and Thursday.. Bartenders seem better! read more

I stopped in one Sunday, early afternoon. The crowd was light and the atmosphere was easy and congenial. The bar/restaurant is located right off easy access points from the front or rear. Although it shared a mutual drive with another restaurant, it has its own parking lot that wraps 3/4 around the building. They offer seasonal outdoor seating at the front near the entrance. I had the Buffalo wings . They were really good, not the best I've ever had, but certainly very solid. I had 8 wings with celery and sauce. The wings were crispy, at my request and they had a very "franks red hot" taste to the sauce. I would get them again if I were in the area. I had a relaxing visit and I enjoyed the space. read more

Your typical sports bar. During the day it's a great place to watch a game or just hang out and eat some good food. Lots of TVs! At nights it can get pretty rowdy, especially on karaoke nights. Billiards available if you are a pool shark. There are always drink specials, but even without the specials, drinks are cheap. Service is typically pretty quick, even on busy nights! We are on a mission to try every pizza in Fort Wayne (no chains, please), and Chevvy's Pizza & Sports Pub was stop number 24! If you decide to put the word "pizza" in your establishment's name, the expectations are high. But, here, the pizza was rather mediocre. The crust was bland, and overall taste hovered slightly better than a quality frozen pizza. This certainly didn't compete with other locations we've tried... Service was ok, too. I'm not sure what the bartenders name is, but she has black hair with a clip on black curly pony tail and a Marilyn Monroe piercing and glasses. She was wearing sweat pants and fur boots which isn't professional attire for a sports bar. She was incredibly rude and had us pay for shots she never brought over to us. Then the other bartenders proceeded to argue and try and charge us a second time without us getting the original shots we paid for. Terrible service. Tonight we went to Chevys for some wings and drinks. The food was fine, and our server was great. The Owner, however, is a complete tool. As we're wrapping up and waiting for our check, this guy starts playing darts less than a foot behind our table. He drops several f bombs, loudly, and we have to stop our conversation because he is so loud. It's a bar, so some of that's to be expected. We shrug it off. As he's taking turns with his similarly drunk friend, he sets darts on our table, not six inches from my boyfriend's hand. We both decide not to say anything because we're finishing up and are about to leave as soon as we can get our card back from the waitress. Neither are wearing masks and both are standing way too close for comfort- dart game aside. He then puts his drink on our table directly next to mine. I speak up about it and ask if he can wait til we leave. In response he *touches my boyfriend on his back* and tells us "I'm the owner. I don't need you. Don't come back." We won't. read more

Used to love this place but they have gone downhill . No more half price pizza on Wednesday and the pizza is not near as good as it used to be . Prices have gone up as well and a4% service charge if you use a credit card ! No longer have karaoke on Wednesday either . No real reason to go here anymore unless You just want to drink . Great hole in the wall sports bar. Tons of TVs to watch your favorite team with a bunch of buddies or belly up to the bar with the regulars. Very friendly and welcoming vibe. Bartenders are great and they have awesome drink specials. Very reasonable place to grab a pitcher of beers and watch games all day of a Sunday. Little outdoors space for smoking and there are a few tables. The inside is nothing spectacular. Tons of seating which is a plus and service is decent. I find I get the best service when sitting up at the bar. Bathrooms are outdated and there is only two stalls so on a busy night you may have to wait. The pizza is where it's at. I have only been disappointed one time. Other than that you can't go wrong with a pizza or grinder. Big sizes and easily shared with friends. I often use a discount on the pizza with my Tincaps baseball tickets on game days. Great place to head after a full 9 innings of enjoying $1 beer night on Thursdays. read more

Service isn't the greatest. Waitress was kind of arrogant and treated us like we were just taking up her time, distracting her from the group of guys talking to her at the bar. The pizza on the Buffet wasn't touched once while we were there. It looked old and nasty and not worth what they were asking for. Also, who goes to a sports bar pizza buffet expecting pop with their meal? I mean, c'mon, you have to be 21 or older just to get in! I could care less about a free pop. Why not just take the cost of the pop and minus it from whatever a beer costs? Example: And for an additional $1.50, you can have a domestic draft beer with the buffet instead of the free pop. I enjoy this bar most of the time but tonight I gave them my card so I could run a tab I ordered drinks and a shot and food to take home with me. I paid my tab with cash they let me walk out with my food and drinks not drank on the bar I forgot my card oops my bad. I get home and soon after I get a notice that my card has been charged. I called the bar to find out what the problem was and why my card got charged even though I paid my tab the gentleman on the other end of the phone at the bar the gentleman said my tab had not been closed and that's why my card was charged. Which doesn't match the grinder with extra mushrooms and 5 extra cups of ranch. But keep my fucking card and keep the $5 you guys charged me I'm getting a new card in the mail. read more

We were in town for a concert and happened upon this place following the show. Seemed like a little hole in the wall. The bartender was super friendly and greeted us immediately. They had great drink specials. We each ordered a grinder; as this is what the menu said they were known for. I must say that the club sandwich grinder was one of the best sandwiches I've had in a while! We also got the hot pepper cheese bites which were super good. One star taken off cuz the bathrooms smelled kinda weird. The wife & I popped into this place for our first time on a Friday after the lunch hour. A handful of patrons sprinkled around the place. The staff were breaking down the lunch buffet table just after we arrived. Staff was very friendly and were able to make several recommendations from the menu. The server said they were popular for their grinders and pizza and pointed out which ones were ordered most often. We opted to split a Grinder, the Diablo, which comes in a 6" and 12" version. The order arrived promptly with a side of chips and dill pickle...they were kind enough to split onto two plates for us. The sandwich was nicely toasted on the bun, crisp outside and soft inside just the way we like it. This particular sandwich has a selection of roast beef, turkey and ham plus lettuce and tomato, with a special house made sauce that was slightly spicy. It was a very tasty sandwich and we certainly would order it again. I paired my meal with a Danny Boy Lager from the tap. It was a little on the flat side to me...but it was my first time trying this beer so I could not tell if that was the norm for this beer. To me it felt more like the tap/keg was old. I asked about evenings and since it was Friday our server said it will be standing room only later in the night. I also noted PLENTY of big screen TV's so it looks like a great place to watch a game. What happened to this bar ? New DJ for karaoke and the whole experience is lost - forever. The new guy doesn't know how to mix simple audio. His response to me: " I'm working on it." Sound never improves. Sounds like you are singing through a roll of wet toilet tissue. I asked him why it sounds bad, he responds: " well, my monitor is broken - I'm working on it. " okay. I let the staff know about my karaoke complaints and they look at me like I'm the anti-Christ. The DJ guy is more concerned about smoking his vapor than fixing sound issues and instead plays music in between songs. The old DJ was awesome - had a great sound system and didn't play filler in between. On the good note, food was good and service decent. Get a new karaoke guy and you'll get your old faithful customers back. read more
