    Great pizza
    Patty N.

We were craving pizza from a locally-owned establishment on Labor Day. I realize it was great that employees had the day off (and they deserve it), but it really posed a predicament of where I could order pizza. I finally found Peppi's open in Huntertown. We ordered a Deluxe pizza, garlic cheese bread, a stromboli and a grinder. Let me tell you the full sandwiches are HUGE. Everything was ready on time and tasted great. I have included a picture of the pizza. Great place and are so glad most other pizza places were closed, otherwise we may have never tried Peppi's!

I love Their pizza But here lately every time I order a deluxe pizza it is burnt

Great food and great service, although you can smoke in there. I get my food from the side window.

$51 for this... I…read morecontend that 800 Degrees is far and wide the best pizza in Fort Wayne, but after our last fiasco about two years ago when the presumed owner acted like a sanctimonious jackass, we have not been back. Fast forward to today and the house hottie wanted to do the humble thing and give them another go (Against my better judgement, but I digress... Happy wife, happy life). I've inexplicably gotten a gluten sensitivity about a year ago (which sucks), so we ordered two GF pizzas. The pizzas are literally half the size of their standard Neopolitan pizzas along with a $4.00 up-charge for GF, totaling $51 for carry-out (just two tiny skimpily topped pizzas, nothing else)... This is a joke right? While the pizzas were good (not as good as their Neopolitan), $51 is laughable and frankly insulting. Wow, this is some "bold" customer price gouging and should piss-off anyone that orders their GF pizza... Albeit I wouldn't expect anything less coming from the guy that treats his customers like ill repute. Needless to say, we are officially done with 800 Degrees... From bad customer treatment to getting bent by over like a cheap Vegas hooker via price gouging, 800 Degrees and its pompous owner can get bent. This is such a travesty because 800 Degrees is an outstanding pizzeria, but there are other solid pizzerias in Fort Wayne that deserve our business because they don't do either of the above. Good riddance.

B Antonio's - Meat pizza and Cheese Bread…read more We had carry out from the Lima Road B Antonio's. We frequent this place often for salads and sandwiches. Hiwever, this was the first time we have ever had carry out pizza. Here is our experience: We ordered a 14" hand tossed meat pizza at a price of $18. The cheese bread was $7. I wasn't as concerned with the price as I wanted to try the pizza. These prices are pretty much in line with other take out oriented pizza places. They had our pizza freshly out of the iven in about 15 minutes versus the 20-25 minute quoted time. The meat pizza has a really good taste. For a crust we went with a hand tossed pizza. They do offer thin crust and gluten free. The crust had a slightly sweet & floury taste - like their breadsticks. It was baked to a nice golden brown color and texture. Overall it was fairly soft and moist to taste. The edges has a nice firm crisp them without being crunchy. Nice for dipping! The pizza sauce is thicker and has a more bold tomato taste. It comes off a little bit sweet and no real spice to give it heat. The pizza makers spread the sauce out the edges - which I like. The sauce gave the toppings a bit of moisture and accented the meat toppings nicely. I was impressed with the amount of toppings on this pizza. The meats come with Italian sausage, pepperoni, ham, bacon and ground beef. The meats seemed to have at least sizable layers of meat. The sausage gave the pizza a little bit of an Italian flavor. The ham and bacon added a nice slightly salty taste. The ground beef didn't do much igger thsn offer an enhanced meat taste. It wasn't greasy. All that was covered in an appropriate amount if mozzarella. I felt like the pizza toppings gave me good value. The cheese bread was a little different than most. Basically they have rolled out their break stick dough and cut into flatter pieces. The dough has a nice slightly sweet floury taste. There is a decently thick bed of mozzarella on top of a lightly buttery-garlic covering. The mozzarella is a bit higher quality so it was smooth and "cheesy" to pull apart. The melted cheese was dressed with some grated Parmesan cheese. I was disappointed in ghe cup of marinara sauce. Im sure it was the same as what was on the pizza - which i liked. However the cup of marinara was extraordinarily thick. So thick that you couldn't dip the cheese bread into it...nor thd pizza crust. The sauce seemed like the thickness might have been caused by over refrigerating it. Regardless it wasn't enjoyable and didn't add to the good experience. Cold Pizza Test - the next day the leftovers were a little bit tougher to chew but not excessively. It retained a decent amount of moisture in the crust and toppings. The Italian flavor in the meats almost disappeared without the warmer temperatures (I ate this one at room temperature the next morning). The cheese and sauce still had a nice flavor. Overall...it had a decent taste for cold pizza.

Our family really likes Mozzarelli's when we are looking for a good-value orientated pizza that isn't a chain place. We ordered a supreme speciality pizza and cheese sticks. The pizza crust has more of a flour flavor - with some hints of butter and garlic. It is baked to a moderately soft consistency while retaining a slightly crispy crust. It is perfect to dip the provided garlic butter. The tomato sauce has a decent spicy-heat flavor to it. It's just enough to let you know it's there without overpowering the taste. It seems to have a bit of a tomato paste consistency and flavor. You will enjoy the piles of fresh toppings. Plenty of tasty meat. The fresh tasting cheese is pretty thick on the top without oozing all over the place. A pretty good pie! A mark of good pizza is how it tastes cold the next day. Mozzarelli's pizza tends to run drier and tougher the next day. The topping tastes are still excellent. Overall the pizza is just not as moist and as easy to chew as i would prefer. Our house likes the inexpensive cheese bread a lot. The crust is a bit tougher and crispier. A more predominant butter taste is applied. The cheese isn't all that thick. However there is enough to let you know it's cheese bread and will need to be pulled apart. The thin cut strips make it easy for people to pick the pieces that fit their appetite. The cup of marinara sauce that comes with it is thicker in consistency. It doesn't have the spicy taste

However, they said they only take cash, so we left and had to go to the ATM to get money out. We eventually came back, and the lady had overcharged us and had to recalculate our order. We got two sausage rolls, a medium pizza, and a small pizza for almost $50.00. The sausage rolls were a great price, but the pizza is way overpriced, in my opinion. Unfortunately, the food was a letdown, big time. The sausage rolls were kind of burnt on top, and the inside was not hot. The carnivore medium pizza was dry and overcooked, and when you grabbed a piece, all of the toppings fell off. The small Thai chicken pizza was overcooked, dry, and hard to eat. It was like eating cardboard. We tried to eat but threw most of our food away in the trash. I really want to go back and try others, but I don't know if I will, unfortunately.

Giradano's (Dupont Road) - first visit after a LONG time away…read more.. It's been six years since I frequented Giradano's on Dupont. I love deep dish pizza. Though I'm not a fan of waiting 45+ minutes for it to bake. And, I've not found value in an expensive Giradano's deep pizza. Hence, we haven't been back. However, on this evening, we wanted pizza and a nice outdoor patio. Giradano's has a nice, comfortable, attractive and covered outdoor patio. Relaxing and cool. Nice street view of Dupont road. The facility is large and seats a LOT of people. It's a great place for large groups! The team here hustled and helped each other out. Our waiter Michael did an outstanding job - very friendly, professional and paced the dinner & refills. We started with "The Best" bruschetta. We loved the smooth and creamy mozzarella cheese. You could swear that it was just made fresh. The tomatoes were very fresh tasting. The balsamic sauce was a bit thicker and bolder in taste - very good! The outside of the bread was firm but not crunchy. The inside was soft and easily cut with a fork. This isn't the "best" bruschetta I've ever had. It was very good though! On this visit we went with The Special pizza, 14 inch, with the traditional thin crust for $27.75 - yes, still expensive. And, it took waiter said it would take 45+ minutes to cook - same as a deep dish pizza. The pizza is very attractive looking. Love the rich red pizza sauce look and covering of mozzarella cheese. The crust has a pretty golden brown color and the toppings peak through the cheese! The crust used for the thin crust is the same as the deep dish. I found the crust to taste similar to a biscuit - not my taste. It was firm in texture when cooked but not crispy - liked that! The pizza sauce has a rich and thick red appearance. It is sweet to taste but doesn't come off thick. I found it to be a little bit watery - not my expectation. The watery consistency reduced the tomato and Italian seasoning flavors. The moist sauce somewhat accented the biscuit crust and topping flavors. I just thought it could have been much better if it were thicker in consistency. The green peppers, onions and mushrooms were sautéed. This gives them a bit more flavor and helped them blend with the cheese nicely. The Special pizza has sausage whereas the Chicago Classic has pepperoni. I was really hoping for a spicy and bold sausage flavor. What I got was a very mild meat taste. I was disappointed with the amount of sausage on the pizza as well - especially since it was the only meat. Overall we loved the patio and the relaxing atmosphere. The bruschetta was very good. The thin crust pizza was good and pricey. The team on this night was excellent!

Deciding we're done with Marco's our son-in-law recommended Lexy's. Just a couple miles down the road from our hotel so we thought "Why Not!?". After perusing the menu online we found the Neapolitan pizza. (My wife kept calling it the Napoleon) It looked tasty and all the reviews we read mentioned that the quantities of the toppings on all their pizzas were insane. I was hungry. It was a perfect fit. Fast forward about 20 minutes and we arrived to pick up our pizza. There's some seating and table for diners-in. Nothing extravagant, but enough for people who don't want to haul the pizza back to the hotel/home/girlfriend's house/workplace/crematory. Our pie was hot and ready, so pickup was fast. First thing I noticed about this pizza was the weight. It was not light. in fact, it was HEAVY. It also made the car smell great on our way back. When you're as hungry as I was that smell was better than the new car scent that the car wash put in my car earlier that week. Pizza in hand, a bucket of ice and a couple bottles of Dr. Pepper® later and we're ready for food. Holy HELL, this pizza was amazing! Sausage, mushroom, onion, green pepper, and mozzarella never tasted so good. Seriously. This was fantastic. We ordered a large pizza because....pizza. Usually there's a piece or two left over. Not this time. I don't know the story behind Lexy's and I don't know how long it's been there, but I do know that this was, hands down, the best pizza I've ever had in Ft Wayne.
