Let's start with our server Jackson! He was outstanding!! Such a polite and professional young man. He was very attentive and made sure the meal moved at a nice pace. He was on top of all the refills. Jackson was a delight to have as our waiter. The food is consistent and as good as previously reviewed. The breadsticks are simply the best you will ever have. Sweet, soft with a slight butter and Parmesan cheese taste. The house salad is fresh and crisp. The house dressing is sweet to taste with a hint on oil dressing. The Classic pizza is a solid choice. The dough tastes sweet like the breadsticks. There were plenty of fresh tasting toppings. The cheese wasn't over bearing...just enough to blend the ingredients together.

Great breadsticks and salad, and everything I've tried so far is delicious. Classic Italian flavors in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

I was given a recommendation to try Zianos, so one weekend my family came here after shopping nearby in Kroger. The decor of the place is definitely old school Italian restaurant. It's a bit dark, but comfortable and inviting. I will say the entire time that service was excellent. We started off with some appetizers. One we definitely ordered were those honey breadsticks we were recommended to buy. They were as delicious as my coworker told me. They were soft, sweet and just wonderful. We also ordered the meatball appetizer which we thoroughly enjoyed. The minestrone soups we got were also warm and hearty. Unfortunately, we started well but the main course was a huge disappointment. I had the Baked Chicken Mozzarella, did not taste right... pasta was doughy. The dessert was amazing as we got some Debrand Chocolate, one of my favorite chocolates. Wish the main course would have been as good as the appetizers and dessert.

Our server was Olivia, she did amazing. My husband and I dined in with my niece who has celiac and she took great care of us. Food was good and came out fast. We will absolutely be coming back to see her!

My family and I had Zianos for dinner. The place was nice and quiet when we arrived, later filling up with guests. Our server was great, she was on top of keeping drinks refilled. Food was great.

We had a lovely luncheon baby shower on a Sunday. Started off with meatballs and breadsticks. Both so enjoyable. The house salad was perfectly dressed with crisp lettuce. Great dressing. I had the chicken Marsala. The creaminess of the sauce and tender chicken was great with the pasta. Great service and very timely with a large group. The private dining area was nice and cozy in a very cold afternoon.

800 Degrees - sometimes you just want salad with a little pizza taste…read more 800 Degrees isn't far from our home so it's an easy stop for salad and a taste of pizza. It is located in the far east end of the strip mall opposite of the Starbucks and Walmart off Lima/Dupont road. It's a large restaurant so it can easily accommodate larger parties. You order at the cash register and then the servers will take care of the rest. They do have a bar side on one side of the restaurant that has a TV to watch the game. I think their alcohol selections are rather limiters though. On this occasion we ordered a Pirelli and salads. The Pirelli is a delicious "non-pizza" pizza option. The ring of dough is very tasty. It is soft and slightly sweet. The wood fired baking gives it a nice Smokey flavor with a slightly crisp exterior. The inside is full of oozing mozzarella cheese and sweet marinara sauce. You have to love when fresh mozzarella oozes and is almost so thick that you need a fork to cut it. The two salads pictured are a Caesar and Mista salad. You can get them in half and full sizes. The half size is enough for a meal if you are going to accompany it with a pizza or Pirelli. The salads are always fresh. They never drench the salad in too much dressing. The dressings are usually very in mild flavor so it accents the salad instead of dominating it. One of the memorable parts of dinning at 800 Degrees is the freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. These free cookies are ready to accompany you home. Give 800 Degrees a try. They make a good change of pace from your normal pizza place. You will enjoy their friendly service and relaxing/casual atmosphere.

I…read morecontend that 800 Degrees is far and wide the best pizza in Fort Wayne, but after our last fiasco about two years ago when the presumed owner acted like a sanctimonious jackass, we have not been back. Fast forward to today and the house hottie wanted to do the humble thing and give them another go (Against my better judgement, but I digress... Happy wife, happy life). I've inexplicably gotten a gluten sensitivity about a year ago (which sucks), so we ordered two GF pizzas. The pizzas are literally half the size of their standard Neopolitan pizzas along with a $4.00 up-charge for GF, totaling $51 for carry-out (just two tiny skimpily topped pizzas, nothing else)... This is a joke right? While the pizzas were good (not as good as their Neopolitan), $51 is laughable and frankly insulting. Wow, this is some "bold" customer price gouging and should piss-off anyone that orders their GF pizza... Albeit I wouldn't expect anything less coming from the guy that treats his customers like ill repute. Needless to say, we are officially done with 800 Degrees... From bad customer treatment to getting bent by over like a cheap Vegas hooker via price gouging, 800 Degrees and its pompous owner can get bent. This is such a travesty because 800 Degrees is an outstanding pizzeria, but there are other solid pizzerias in Fort Wayne that deserve our business because they don't do either of the above. Good riddance.

We've never had anything we didn't love! This most recent visit, we started with the Mexican Caesar and Chips with guacamole. Yum! Hubby had the Saturdays Night Special Burrito made with pork carnitas, Arroz verde, queso, avocado crema and tomatillo salsa on a grilled flour tortilla. Excellent! He could not finish it because it was so substantial... I usually go for tacos, and the Texican is my absolute go-to! SO flavorful! Also had the pork carnitas taco, neither of which could I finish. Love that all tacos can be wrapped in lettuce instead of tortillas if one prefers! Totally forgot pics until we packaged our leftovers (which hubby happily enjoyed the next day), so that's the only pic you get, unfortunately! Hopefully you can still discern the deliciousness of Solbird's food!

Oh, MAN, do I wish there was a restaurant like Solbird Kitchen & Tap closer to home…read more On a recent visit to Fort Wayne my wife and I were trying to figure out where to have dinner. Our son-in-law asked "Have you tried Solbird? They have amazing tacos!". Wellll...that's all that took! The decor at Solbird is nicely done. It's not bright and flashy. It's not overdone. It's not obnoxious. There's enough to give the place some ambiance without being overwhelming. It's dignified and suits the establishment. Solbird has a combination tables: bar seating, high tops, and regular height table. We're always high top sitters. Oh, and can we talk about these chairs? At least the tall chairs? Those things are HEAVY! If I'd have known they were that heavy I'd have eaten Cheerios® for breakfast. Our server was a very delightful young lady named Soleil (yes, like the actress Soleil Moon Frye). She was amazingly fun and just....cool. I'm not going to lie. My son-in-law mentioned the Mexican Poutine and that's all it took to get me in the door. My wifey was interested in the Korean tacos. Our food was delivered hot -- VERY hot -- and accurate, and I couldn't get the Mexican Poutine in my belly! It was 100% delicious in a way that I did not see coming, and I'm guessing that was the Chorizo. It made it AWESOME. The staff (all women as far as we saw) were all friendly, helpful, and always busy cleaning and stocking. The overhead music was 80s and 90s and was at a perfect level and not overwhelmingly loud. It gave the restaurant an upbeat, fun vibe. There's a sign on the door that says that no one under 21 is allowed to enter. I don't if that's an absolute, or that you can't eat here if you have kids under 21. No matter, I don't object to a restaurant having a rule like that. It's not an altogether bad thing to have adults-only establishments. Yea, if there was a Solbird close to home I'd be there every night...which makes it a good thing that it's about 4 hours away. :)

Service is usually impeccable and Kiersten (our server the past 2 visits) exemplifies that: knowledgeable, attentive but not intrusive, kind, efficient, pleasant. Hubby had the not-your-ordinary wedge salad as a starter (pictured). Bacon, tomato, bleu cheese crumbles, hard boiled egg, and a creamy balsamic dressing. Very tasty! Me, always a sucker for good French onion soup (pictured), which I always order with no bread or croutons. Broth has authentic rich flavor with just the right amount of simmered onions. The only thing that might have made it even better would have been the use of Gruyere (or Swiss, instead of what seemed to be mozzarella) for the cheesy melt topping the delicious soup. Our chosen entrees tonight were the cashew crusted Mahi Mahi (pictured) served with orzo and fresh green beans, and the seared tuna (pictured) served on an umami blend of Napa cabbage and broccoli lightly dressed in sesame ginger, just-right heat, and peanuts. It can be found across the parking lot from Buffalo Wild Wings. There is always plenty of parking near the door. The restaurant is large with an inviting & modernly decorated bar and dinning area. The team here is very friendly and professional. They never disappoint. Making reservations on line is easy. I would definitely recommend reservations! On this night we were seated in the indoor-outdoor dining area. This area is more open, well lit and less intimate than the man dinning area. There were two large groups (12 and eight) seated in this area - nice for larger gatherings. You have a nice view of the lit outdoor fire place. BC has a very large menu. There is something for everyone. Overall BC is rather pricey but not as expensive as some. We started with our favorite corn bread appetizer. It's a simple 2-3 person dish. The bread is more like a southern cake than a traditional corn bread. The inside is soft, sweet and moist. The whipped butter is fluffy, smooth and makes a delicious accent to the corn bread. My wife ordered the southwest grilled chicken salad. She said the chicken was perfectly grilled and moist. The lettuce and fixings were very fresh. The dressing was very light and had a hidden cayenne pepper kick. The salad seemed to grow as you got to the bottom of the bowl - lol. My house salad was also very fresh. Plenty of side items to accent the lettuce. The buttermilk ranch dressing is somewhat unique. It has a smooth and light buttermilk texture without a strong buttermilk flavor. There are hints of ranch dressing flavors. Nicely done! I ordered the BC meatloaf. This was a mountain of deliciously blended types of meats, onions, peppers & spices. You could pick up the short rib, brisket, bacon and ground chuck flavors. The collection was moist, nicely spiced & seasoned and delicious! There was plenty of fresh and perfectly steamed broccoli - nice crisp. The Mac & cheese side was done to perfection! Nicely cooked noodles along with a very smooth & creamy white cheese sauce. It was so delicious that I had to scrap the sauce from the bottom of the dish. Overall, Black Canyon is an outstanding place to dine. You always feel special whether it's a special occasion or just dinner out. Time in and time out...food & service are outstanding!!

You've been to these places before. One of the things that stand out for me is the variety of items available. Yes, they've got chicken and beef and barbacoa, but they also have chimichurri chicken, which is an absolute stand-out item. If you're unfamiliar with chimichurri, it's chicken that's typically sautéed with finely chopped parsley, minced garlic, olive oil, oregano and red wine vinegar. That leads to a very green colour, but the taste is (insert chef's kiss here). I typically get mine in bowl but vary the toppings over time. As you go down the line and add your toppings you're basically creating your own meal. At the end of the line you're handed your meal on a tray and each order comes with a small bag of freshly made chips and you can chose from any one of about ten different types of salsa. I've tried most of them, my favorite being the tomatillo because it tastes so fresh, but they're all made fresh in store and each has its own distinct flavor. We've been to this location a number of time and the service has always been awesome and the facility has been very clean. They do a great job of keeping the dining room clean. In a world of QDoba, Moe's, Chipotle, and Salsarita, I'd take Salsa Grille over all of them. If I had the means I'd bring a Salsa Grille franchise to Louisville.
