    Salvatori's - Waynedale

I've reviewed the new Salvatori's (Waynedale) before, but felt I should do it again... This place totally gets quality and customer service... The food is always good, the service is impeccable, the restaurant is ultra-clean, and they don't price gouge customers - Salvatori's is totally worth the stop for a good/quality meal. You absolutely cannot beat $15 for lunch for the amount of food you get and the friendly service.

I was unaware of the (second) Salvatori's in Waynedale, having gone to the one on Illinois Road quite a few times.

This was our first visit to Amore - we'll be going back. First, the service. Our server, Dawn,…read morewas very helpful. She made perfect recommendations for our tastes and was very patient with our pace of dining. The pasta was made in-house and was perfectly cooked. We enjoyed the portion size which allowed us to enjoy 4 courses without feeling stuffed (although my wife took 1/2 her entree home). The wine selection was very nice as well. We also enjoyed the atmosphere. It was a Wednesday night and not too busy allowing us to have a conversation without any trouble. If you're looking for upscale Italian that will rival any restaurant, imo, don't hesitate.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by two hosts who were both very pleasant. We were seated immediately and accommodated our request to sit near the bar. The ambiance is absolutely striking. While chic and polished, the interior also gives off elegant Caesars Palace-inspired design vibes--grand, dramatic, and visually captivating. The bar setup is truly breathtaking and instantly draws you in, making it a perfect spot for a date night or celebratory evening. Our server, Dawn, truly made the night exceptional. She was warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, and her recommendations were spot-on. We ordered the lasagna and the salmon with potatoes and spinach--both dishes were beautifully seasoned and full of flavor. The drinks were just as impressive. We enjoyed Uncle Nearest Nearest (which came with an ice cube stamped with an "A"--such a great attention to detail), a Luxy Lady, and prosecco--everything was a hit. I've seen a few comments about portion sizes, but we felt they were perfectly aligned with what you'd expect from an upscale restaurant--satisfying without being overwhelming. The only reason I didn't give a full five stars was due to the manager (or who I assume was the manager). He stood nearby for long periods without engaging with guests--no greeting, no smile--just an uncomfortable, awkward presence that felt a bit like being stared at. Most managers on the floor interact with guests, so this stood out. Aside from that, we had a great experience and will definitely be returning in the future.

Ugh. Thankfully the hostess honored my request to sit at the original half booth. The server was perfunctory and checked on me minimally. So I sat for a while before ordering. My cocktails and food was brought out by others. However, she did retroactively add my Cunningham points when I forgot to advise her I was rewards member. The cocktails were sensational. I really loved the Act One and the Flasback was also good. The wedge salad was delightful, if slightly overdressed. The beef tenderloin with blue cheese was tender and cooked perfectly to temp. I enjoyed every scrumptious bite.

She made sure that the water was filled and that the food was perfect. I can't stay enough how amazing the food is. I feel that it is on par with the nearby farm table restaurant. The food is cooked to perfection and also uses many tasty ingredients. All the food seems to be cooked from scratch. One of the most underrated restaurants and likely a top contender for best restaurant now in Fort Wayne.
