Margherita pizza

Loved the pizza! Get the Margherita pizza, it was so good with a crispy crust and fresh sauce.pepperoni was also very good, but a little more floppy and greasy which I expect with a pepperoni pizza. We ordered it to go, so not sure about in restaurant service.

Supreme Pizza

If you crave/demand/prefer thin crust pizza...then Big Apple has to be at the top of your list in the Fort! One this occasion I found it difficult to navigate the menu. The choices that were on display in the "by-the-slice" case were easy to identify. The blue topping descriptions on the black chalk board...for the specialty pizzas...were impossible to read. So I settled on the delicious looking supreme pie that was on display in the case. $18 for an 18" pie was a very fair price for the taste that we were about to experience. On this gorgeous summer evening we sat outside by the sidewalk. All the tables were set up for two people. The area is small so it was very difficult to move tables to suit a party of four. The tables too are small which made it difficult to accommodate an 18" pizza. We worked through those issues and enjoyed dinning by the street level. It was great to relax and dine and talk at a pa e that suited us. The pizza is excellent! The inside pie crust was thin and soft. The outer pie crust is a bit thicker but appropriate for a thin crust. The sauce had a mild tomato taste and was thin. The pizza toppings were very fresh. The amount was a bit thin for my taste but it was sufficient to complete the supreme taste.

Crab rangoon pizza with sweet and sour sauce.

I went to JK O'Donnell's last evening with some coworkers and the food really wasn't that good. So one of the co-workers and I decided to walk across the street and check this place out. Well they didn't have these lights that I want to try. I asked the lady that was working that evening if they would have it available today she said yes. I returned the following day after 12:00 and I got a slice of the crab rangoon Pizza which was drizzled with sweet sour sauce. Well the part that that did not have sweet and sour sauce on it was actually pretty good. But in my opinion that sweet and sour sauce ruined the slice for me. The rating would have definitely been a four if it wasn't for that sauce. The price and the customer service were actually pretty good.

Pepperoni Pizza

I'm always late to the best spots! This one included. This is true New York style pizza, easily folded and great flavor. I stopped by on a Friday night, they had a small crowd, but service was excellent. I had a great time downtown enjoying the weather and scenery, the pizza was fantastic, the ambiance was enjoyable. I will surely be back.

Pepperoni Pizza 24" - Pepperoni

The service was very consistent and nice and our food came pretty quick. It meant a lot when our food came as quick as it did because of how hot and delicious it was. The cheese pizza had a nice pull to it and the marinara was very tasty and had depth to it. The pepperoni with the cheese made an unmatched savory bite paired with the hot and crunchy crust. The restaurant had a very New York-ish pizza shop aesthetic to it and made me feel like I was somewhere in Brooklyn. Only thing that doesn't give me that 5 star for them is the hefty pricing!

The pizza was fine. I got buffalo chicken and barbecue chicken. It was kind of expensive by the slice.

This place is as close to NY pizza as you'll get! And that's coming from a self admitted "pizza snob."

Pizza and service is hit and miss depending on the type and the day. Nice patio. The new policy of charging for tap water is annoying.

Lexy's Pizza (Spring Street, Fort Wayne) - first time trying this pizza institution…read more I've seen lots of outstanding reviews for Lexy's. How can you live in the Fort and not visit the original Spring Street location that was founded by Lexy Demetroff since 1957? Well...I've now checked that one off my bucket list! I ordered a medium Everything pizza around 4:30p on a busy Friday evening. They quoted me a 40 minute wait time...and they were spot on. Lexy's pizza menu and prices are typical of most non-budget pizza places. They offer deep dish pizzas as well. The Spring street location is small with ample parking in the back. There is thin table that lines two walls with bar stools. I suppose you could eat in. However carry out is most common. The kitchen is wide open to the entry way. You can watch the pizza artisans doing their craft. I found the team here to be very friendly and welcoming while focusing on pizza making. In my first trip to Lexy's I found the pizza to be quite delicious. The crust is thin. The edges are crispy - yes, really crisp. The underside in the middle of the pizza was soft and nicely baked. No obvious added flavoring to the crust. Pretty much a plain flour dough. Lexy's motto is "Generous portions, Quality ingredients"...and that is what I found. The toppings were piled high on a bed of ground up American sausage. The rest of the meats and vegetables were plentiful and tasty. The toppings were held in place by a thick bed of fresh mozzarella cheese. The pizza is well baked as evidenced by the crispy edges and "frico" browned cheese. The browned and slightly crispy cheese added a different taste to the oozing bed of mozzarella that was below the surface. The sauce was not as prominent as I hoped. The toppings dominated the taste. The bit of sauce I could detect was slightly sweet and had a good tomato taste. The whole pizza was nicely moist. You pick up a good blend of different ingredient tastes. Cold Pizza Test - the next morning the cold pizza tasted almost exactly like the pizza from the night before - delicious! The pizza was still very moist. The crust was still very crispy. The flavor from the toppings did tend to faded a little.

Please note the meals were all fabulous, I forgot to take pictures ! Not to mention, we got the Oreo, cheesecake, and the strawberry cheesecake to go. Which was very good. Perfectly cooked and the flavor was perfect. It was thin, light, crunchy crust but not too crunchy, dough nice and soft at the same time. Highly recommend it. Pasta: A bit underwhelming. I felt it could use more sauce and a bit more flavor as it was bland. Portion was decent. The pork should have been cooked more as it was chewy and in a carbonara, i expect the pork to be a tad crispier. Dessert: I am a tiramisu fanatic and I was disappointed when i took a bite of it as it was more like a slice of cake pretending to be a tiramisu. It was yummy but i would not consider this a slice of tiramisu. You can see in my last photo where you see the cake style parts of it. While i do love strawberries, they were an odd touch considering it's supposed to be tiramisu and not a slice of coffee, chocolate flavored cake. Overall i believe that we overpaid for dinner. If i were to return, I would probably just stick to the pizza. I love that they have vegan and gluten free options so that's a plus but other than that, i can't say i will be returning soon. I wanted to give it a 2.5 but not an option so 2 it is!

The grilled chicken was moist, easy to cut and slightly seasoned to enjoy. The Cobb salad is a must try if you are a salad goer. The pizza was good. It has a thin crust that was crispy but not burnt. The pizza was just soft enough that you could cut it with a fork. We had the everything pizza. There was a good variety of toppings and plenty of them. The sauce was not very predominant.
