Good ole pizzeria in Garrett... We've seen a lot of press about CP lately, so the ole ball and chain wanted to give it a Go... Good pizza. It's kind of light, fluffy, and crispy all in one. I really liked their red sauce and they load the pizzas up with toppings. Our bill was $60 for two pies (we brought home one of them because those suckers are yuuuuge), a house salad, and two local crafties... That's a win in today's restaurant price gouging world. The restaurant itself is rather plain looking, but it's clean and the service was good... Coterie Pizza (hwy 327, Garrett, Indiana) - for delicious stone fired pizza and relaxed/casual dining We made a return trip to Coterie after a 3 year absence. Coterie is easy to find. Head north on 327...about 15 minutes north of Dupont Road. They are located in a strip mall, just as you get into town, on the west side of the road. There is plenty of easy-access parking. The restaurant is smaller as it holds about 50 people. It can be busy. There are ample tables for 4 people and some for parties of 8-10 people. The menu is fairly small with only 8 specialty pizzas. Only two items on the appetizer menu - the beer cheese is a MUST try. The pizzas seem pretty reasonable priced for a 12 inch stone fired pizza - $13.45. Coterie has self serve beverage service. You can choose from one of five local beers - and pay by the ounce. Or you can fill up your cup at the soda/tea center. The team here is very friendly and helpful. They all work hard to make sure you have a good customer experience - which we did! Plenty of kitchen help to keep the food rolling..especially at peak diner time! Here is a run down on the items we ordered: -Caprese salad: smaller dish for $5.99. All cherry tomatoes and basil were very fresh and cool to taste. The mozzarella cheese and toppings blended well with the olive oil and balsamic vinegar flavors. Easy to share. -Beer Cheese ($6.99): a layer of pizza dough rolled out thin and baked to a slightly chewy texture. The dough has a slight garlicky flavor and cut into nice sized shareable pieces. The beer cheese is smooth, creamy and dreamy! You get hints of beer amongst the mild cheese flavors. The sauce is a bit thin and simply addicting! -Chicken bruschetta pizza: The golden brown crust is a little tough as it is well baked but still chewable. No special flavors are added to the crust. The bottom was soft and white. The chicken bruschetta is not your typical pizza creation. The tomato sauce was rather thin and only added a mild tomato taste zip. The chicken was tender and picked up the flavors that surrounded it nicely. The cherry tomatoes and basil toppings were very fresh and tasty. They blended really well with the olive oil and balsamic vinegar drizzles. The fresh mozzarella cheese was sprinkled in enough to help hold all the toppings in place. If you liked the Coterie Caprese salad...you would really like the chicken bruschetta pizza! read more

Great local place with the freshest ingredients. Service is VERY friendly. Atmosphere is modern and cool. Beer Cheese - $6.99 - Very good and very filling. It may cause you to have leftovers of your pizza. 5/5 stars. Chicken Bruschetta Pizza - $13.35 - I thought the balsamic vinegar would be overpowering, but it was not. Good balance and good amount of toppings. 5/5 stars. Mushroom Medley - $13.35 - Love this pizza, but I'm also partial to mushroom pizzas. 5/5 stars. Cheese - $11.25 - This one is just fine. Not a whole lot of cheese pull and it's boring to me, but hey, people seem to like that. 4/5 stars. They get their cheesecakes from Pixie Pies: Neapolitan Cheesecake - $7 - Very good cheesecake. Similar to an In-and-Out Neapolitan milkshake. 5/5 stars. My only complaint about this place is that sometimes the dough has a nice fluffy crust and sometimes it's flat. I do prefer the fluffy crust. We got off I-69 in Auburn looking for dinner and were surprised by how many chains were clustered nearby, including McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, Taco Bell, KFC, Jimmy John's, Culver's, Texas Roadhouse, Starbucks, and Dutch Bros. With four auto museums in the area, I expected more distinctive local dining options. Someone suggested many visitors drive up from Fort Wayne for the day rather than stay locally, which may explain it. Most nearby restaurants had limited reviews, and while I do not usually choose a restaurant based on photos, the other options did not look especially appealing. Coterie's photos stood out, and that choice paid off. The building is small and looks like a simple metal box from the outside, but the interior is clean and modern. The only open table was dirty, but someone cleaned it within about five seconds of seeing us walk in (they literally ran to the table). We were helped by a young man named Jax who brought us plates, menus, and drink cups. He explained the self-serve beer and fountain drink options, and made sure we understood the menu. Jax was polite, professional, and engaged. The pizza was good and cooked in a stone oven that you can watch from the table. A solid local find when we were looking for something more unique than another chain. Prices were fair, quality was high, and portions were generous. read more

Walked in with 8 people not realizing they closed in 12 minutes and was greeted with "can we help you?" Yes we came to eat like everyone else in the restaurant and the employee very sarcastically says " at 850, yeah sure let's do it" So we asked if they had any other recommendations and she says "sorry not from here but go ahead and sit down." Super! I read the reviews and had to try it on my way to Ft. Wayne. I ordered the beer cheese appetizer, hot honey, chicken & bacon, Margarita, and brisket pizzas with the idea of tasting and then taking most of it home. The beer cheese is amazing! It also re-heated ok. Favorite was the chicken & bacon with BBQ sauce. I don't usually like pizza without red sauce, but these pizzas were an exception. Ironically, my least favorite was the margarita. They were all great, though, and some of the best pizza I've had in Indiana. Excellent crust! Good, friendly service, too. We got the brisket pizza, which was pretty good, but felt like it was missing some cheesiness, the hot honey with pepperoni was tasty with some fluffy ricotta. Asked for the crushed red pepper on the side so we could control the spice. The Greek goddess salad was fresh and jam-packed with yellow peppers, artichokes, chickpeas, Kalamata olives and feta. The beer cheese was delicious. Bread was perfectly chewy like a Parmesan pizza crust. If we weren't tracking we might have taken home leftover cheese! Super good pizza! The wood fire here is great. They have a state of the art oven and it makes for some of my favorite pizza crust. They have their own styles but you can customize your pizza pie. We got the Cajun and I really liked it. Fresh chicken and good veggies. My family also tried the sausage and I really like how this is made. It cools so well. They also have a beer wall. Well worth the drive from SW Fort Wayne. Prior to our visit we had considered Beer Barrel pizza our favorite despite numerous bad service experiences. Coterie Pizza is better than anything I have had in Fort Wayne. The crust is very good and so are the ingredients. We will be back for the pizza. I wish they were closer to Southwest Fort Wayne. The need to open a second location on Illinois road west for I-69. The also gave a self pour beer wall with 7 Fortlandia beers on tap (as of the time of this review) plus a mead. I really like the beer wall experience. Congrats to Fortlandia for getting so many beers on tap. read more

For our small town, we have one of the best pizza places in the area. The staff is always friendly and the pizza is always delicious. The only downside is that they only have a medium size pizza with the exception of Sunday and Wednesday (I believe). Then you can get a large sized pizza as well if you don't want to have to purchase two. Overall for the price and quality of Coterie Pizza, it's pretty hard to beat. read more

Had dinner at Coterie last night. We were a party or four and shared 3 pizzas which are medium sized - we had a Spinach Artichoke pizza, a Brisket pizza and the Hot Honey. We had almost a full pizza box of left-overs. The spinach artichoke was utterly without flavor. We each had a piece and left the rest. The Brisket pizza had a nice zesty bbq sauce and we ate most of that one and we liked the hot honey fairly well. That disappeared too. All cooked appropriately and they came out fast. Reasonably priced I thought. Everything was clean and modern. They have an innovative pour your own beer service. That was convenient since we didn't see our waitress very often. The service was pretty slow and although we had made a reservation our table was not available. I doubt we'll be back - its a 25 minute drive for us and its not 25-minute-drive pizza. Brand new pizza shop in Garrett! They have a brick oven and the pizza is delicious. They have a really cool pour your own beer wall that you pay by the ounce with a special bracelet that you scan. Service was very fast. They have a variety of indoor seating, including high top tables and traditional tables. They also have high chairs and booster seats for children. Great smells as I parked in the clean, and fairly new parking lot. Walked in and was greeted in a friendly manner. Told I could sit anywhere we choose, and was follow by waiter.
