we spent the Holiday with his parents and accidently ate at the pizza king in Auburn. I was afraid that they were all as nasty as that one, but the PK in Angola is a completely different experience. No bugs, no screaming kids and a too loud television babysitter for them. If you want to see what the fuss is, don't go to Auburn and try a different one. You'll be glad you did. read more

Dined in but took 40 minutes just for breadstix to arrive. then pizza came soon after. Pizza was only half way cooked upon consumption. Also, when paying, did not get a discount for undercooked pizza. Also, I am a worker at another location and I did not get a discount like I do at other locations. I. LOVE. PIZZA. KING. I moved away from the area a few years ago, but every time I am back, this is a must have! Their pizza is great, never a screwed up order or messed up meal. The locations in Fort Wayne are sh*t compared to this one (and the one in Fremont). So if you are coming from that area, give these ones a try. If you don't enjoy the Fort Wayne locations, these are so much better! The only thing is the wait for carry out is on the longer side, usually around an hour, but I just always assume it's because their busy and knowing this you can call ahead knowing you'll be waiting. awful service. waiting over two hours for my pizza, they called telling me that their driver tried to get ahold of me but had the wrong phone number. waited another 30 minutes, didn't hear anything. i called back to be told they were not delivering my order because they were out there twice already but at the wrong location and tried calling the wrong phone number. tried ordering again but they refused for something not at my fault. wouldn't even answer my second call when i tried reordering for pick up instead. the rudest workers. read more

Wow. I haven't been here in over 15 years! The place has literally not changed at all, and it didn't even bother me because nostalgia kicked in. Unfortunately, due to all these covid restrictions, we were unable to treat our son to ordering on the tableside phones. Hopefully in the near future we will be able to share that with him. The waitress was so sweet! We got our orders and ate until we couldn't move. My husband had never been here, but was pleased with his meat lovers pizza. My son and I shared a cheese and black olive pizza. We did order breadsticks and cheese for an appetizer, but that was the only disappointing thing! I remember the big, fluffy breadsticks that came with an oval bowl full of cheese. Apparently those days are tragically gone. read more

This pizza king is similar to other ones in the area. Pizza is always good as well as their sandwiches and breadsticks. The servers are always nice and the lunch specials keep us coming back often. Due to COVID-19 restrictions the phones are not currently in use but it doesn't really impact their service. I have been eating at pizza king for over 35 years, and 32 of those were at the Angola store. I worked there in high school and spent most of my paychecks there. When I moved away I was disappointed that I wasn't able to find anything like it. Every time I return to Angola I always have a chef salad, breadsticks, and a royal feast pizza. Fast forward to today: I recently arrived in town to see my elderly mother who is now in hospice care, and who also happens to be another 35-year pizza king fan. She doesn't eat much anymore but she is still crazy for their breadsticks and requested some for lunch, so of course I called to place an order. I noticed the person on the phone seemed bothered by my call, but it was 1:30 on a Friday so I attributed it to them being in a rush or that I misread her tone (and I just wanted those breadsticks). When I walked in to pick up my order I was surprised to see 5 people standing in close proximity in the kitchen and nobody was wearing a mask. When I approached the counter the person at the cutting table saw that I was wearing a mask, then glared and coughed in my direction. I ignored it partly because she was about 8 feet away but mostly because I was in disbelief of what just happened. I wasn't sure what to do so I continued to pay so I could get out and then figure it out. I was really just in such shock that this favorite place from my childhood was treating customers this way, and making me choose between risking my mother's life or denying her one of the few things still enjoys. As I waited for my change I simply asked the cashier "no masks huh?" He just shook his head and said "nope". I tried to explain my concern that I was picking up breadsticks for my immunocompromised mother when someone yells "Too bad! There won't be any masks!" A couple of them yelled something else that I couldn't understand but the message was very clear. Pizza King is now run by Covidiots who don't care about their customers, the senior population, or the community in general. To Mary - the owner: please fix your restaurant. My family and I absolutely love pizza king. The staff, the food, and everything is great. We have been traveling 2 hours from Michigan several times a year for the past 20 years just to go there and eat. I don't understand people complaining of filth, things being dirty. The place has always been clean anytime we have been there. The kitchen is right behind a big window so you can see the cleanliness of the kitchen and where and how your food is being prepared. We love pizza king and highly recommend it! read more

We have been bringing friends to this restaurant for awhile now. Tonight we brought an online coupon with us. I asked the waitress and she said it was ok to use so we ordered the breadsticks which the coupon would give us for free. We also ordered pizzas, salads, and drinks. When we went to pay, the cashier wouldn't honor the coupon. She was quite rude about it. I tried to explain that the waitress said we could use it or we wouldn't have ordered it. Needless to say, they have lost our frequent business over $4 breadsticks. read more

I absolutely cannot believe my recent experience! I called in an order at 5:05, last night. They said my pizza would be ready in 30 minutes, I got there about 5:40, and waited in a line of about 4 people. (Credit card machine was not working, so it slowed up things, plus they were busy.) When it got to be my turn they found no record of my order, no apology offered, just "Oh if you want to wait 30 minutes..." So I left. But I am a reasonable person and figured maybe they had a bad night, so I called a manager today to ask for a resolution. She could not even offer an apology, I will make this order over for you, or anything. And there was no remorse in her voice. I am a local and keep them busy during the winter. Whether it's a royal feast or a sub, their items are a home town treat! One of my favorites, the royal feast with ranch instead of pizza sauce, maybe throw on some green olives, a decidedly different taste but definitely awesome cold out of the fridge!!! 4-star for a pizza place. We had a party of 15 with a variety of menu items. Great service. All food was properly prepared. Everything nice and clean. Softdrinks are second glass free. But they are BIG glasses. I don't think you'll need a third. So, if you like Pizza King, you will like this one. Plenty of tables, plenty of parking, easy to get to. read more

I loved this place for years, until I was told they regularly drop breadsticks on the floor and out of fear of getting in trouble, they will pick them up and serve them anyways. Ive been told this by 4 different employees! I've also noticed the last few times I've eaten there, the place was pretty filthy as well. Trash all around on the floor by our table, table not being wiped down. Mysterious gook all over. It makes me wonder what filth is being hidden in the kitchen. Me and my husband have agreed that we will never eat here again. How would we ever know if our food had fallen on the floor? DISGUSTING! read more
