Still, it wasn't the worst problem to have, and we thought maybe the taste could salvage the situation. No such luck. The flavors were either super bland or overpowering. If we had the opportunity we definitely wouldn't order from Howie's again. I will give them this--there were plenty of options to choose from on the menu and the crust flavorings, which is apparently their claim to fame, were plentiful. Wouldn't recommend, wouldn't order from them again. Maybe the subs, salads, or wings are worth it? I personally wouldn't bother finding out for myself after having had the pizza and breadsticks but if you're an adrenaline junkie who loves taking risks, go ahead and try Howie's.

We order 99% of the time from this location (our only Hut) & have never had an issue with the…read morequality of their food or service in the last 4 years. That ended today. We stopped in for a late lunch & usually order a thin crust pizza. Today, hubby & I decided to try "Melts" with 2 raspberry teas. Bad decision. When our melts came, both looked EXTREMELY burnt. Both tasted extremely burnt. My Buffalo Chicken melt was not only way overcooked, but it lacked the main ingredient...chicken. I picked through one half like a monkey grooming his mate in hopes I would find one solid piece of chicken amongst the sparingly scattered onions under alfredo sauce & cheese. Nope. I figured if there was enough buffalo sauce it would maybe mask the crispy dumpster fire burnt crust. Wrong again. I couldn't even eat this mess after attempting to. Hubby ate half of his and was done as well. Our server FINALLY stops at our table (our drinks were dry), asks how we are doing. I explain to her that "this is overcooked" to which she replied, "they're thin crust. Next time tell them to take them out sooner." WTF? Wait. YOU'RE the one with the recipe & cook time! She took my basket & never offered to refill our teas. Just walked away. No I'm sorry we'll remake it, no offer to get me anything else, and definitely not offering to refill my glass now with melted ice. One tea, no refill. She brought us our check & left. I gathered my phone & walked to the counter to pay our bill. Our server began to cash us out, I was waiting to swipe my card, then all of a sudden she says, "I'll be right back" & walks away to the greeter's stand behind us. I look at my husband, he looks at me. What the hell just happened!? Another employee comes over, asks if we've been helped. I tell him our server started & walked away. She comes back over to the register & asks him if he will discount us. He does. Well that's fine & all but it doesn't fix being a decent server. We are tippers. We will tip you 25% or more even if the food sucks. You failed us. We will still order our thin crust Veggie Lovers & stuffed crust Meat Lovers. The ONE star is for this experience only.
