Order counter. Also they serve Amy's ice cream scoops!

Cooper's serves up some solid sandwiches in a cute, warm environment with lots of precious dog-related decor. The shop is named after the founder's dog, Cooper, a golden retriever who is featured as one of the store's various "employees of the month" on the front wall by the drink station. Each sandwich is named after one of the other dogs (also featured on the employee of the month wall :) ), and they all offer some unique combos--not your typical sub-shop flavor profiles! My husband and I popped in for a Saturday lunch on the run, and the ladies working there were incredibly kind and gracious. Sandwiches came out great, and the "small" is massive and more than enough for one person! So be warned! Both of us were very full once finished. They also offer pizzas, pizza rolls, ice cream, and salads. We didn't try any of these offerings, but we hope to soon! Ingredients were fresh, offerings were reasonably varied without being over-broad, and overall we enjoyed our meal! Better than subway, jimmy John's, etc. So if you're craving a sandwich, go support this local spot and keep Austin weird.

The ambiance is not fancy, but the people are friendly and the food is great. It's counter service for your sandwich (or salad) and Amy's ice cream. You can build your own sandwich, but I couldn't resist the Simba - a warm sandwich on flat bread with prosciutto, figs, caramelized onions, cream cheese and arugula. Total yumminess. And check out the employee of the month photos - anyone who loves dogs that much is a-okay on my list. Would love to see them expand their side options beyond a bag of chips (good ones at that). But I will be going back to try them again.

Stopped by here for a late lunch on my way home. Nice little place. Standard Sandwich options. I opted for the Apollo, a specialty sandwich, cause I was intrigued by the creamed corn, despite the price, but it only comes in one size--LARGE. The baguette was super fresh (a big plus) and the combo of meat, cheese and corn was surprisingly good. Despite being super hungry I could only eat half of it. The daughter had a small plain turkey with provolone on white, which was also very good and still large for a small. Will for sure come back, if not for a sandwich perhaps for the Amy's ice cream, or for both.

The sandwich I got was delicious! The staff was so so friendly and helpful. The food was affordable, filling with really fresh ingredients. The decor of the store front was very cute and dog oriented. Cooper did a great job! I'll be back for sure!

overall 4/5 stars! the woman who took our order was really kind and made the sandwiches fast. i love that the specialty sandwiches were all named after dogs!! i got the simba. i give it a 3/5 stars because i don't like goat cheese and i knew this had goat cheese so that's honestly my fault. my boyfriend got the brooklyn. he gave it a 4/5 but said he wouldn't get it again. we both want to come back but order differently because we could've chosen different sandwiches and enjoyed them more based on our food preferences. i mean come on! why did i order the one with goat cheese on it?! ‍ can't wait to try it again!

I tried the Simba sandwich. It's amazing and very different from a traditional sandwich or sub. Definitely recommend coming here.

Super friendly local spot. The place is clean & they have some cute little tables outside to eat your sandwich. The sandwich was delicious and filling. I love that they also have Mexican Coke (real sugar sodas) and Amy's Ice cream!! I'll be back. Thanks for a great lunch!

The Simba Sandwich - so delicious!

This sandwich shop is tucked away on Southwest Parkway. It has pizzas and sandwiches, along with soups, salads, and pizza rolls. I enjoy that it has a dinner theme with the pizzas and a lunch theme with the sandwiches. I ordered the Simba Sandwich for lunch. It was absolutely fantastic! There was no shortage of any of the toppings, which included goat cheese, prosciutto, arugula, and fig jam. It was sweet and savory, and I devoured the whole thing. I will definitely be returning to try other sandwiches, and I am super curious about the Simba Pizza (cream on a pizza is nothing short of amazing). And the service is very friendly, which is always a huge plus.

Cooper's Sandwiches is great, definitely go try out this local business! I ordered a vegetarian Sandwich (I think it was called the Lulu), and made a few substitutions based on an allergy and they were very accommodating! I agree with a previous comment that the bread should be toasted, but I think it is a great option for fresh ingredients and friendly service! I wish they had more marketing within the store to explain the story behind the name of the business as well as the names of the sandwiches! Their website briefly touches on the fact that each sandwich is named after a family dog, I wish I could have seen pictures of them in the store, and more info about where they donate money to (I think this may have been referenced in-store as well, but I can't remember). Awesome service, and great seating inside. I will definitely be going back!

I originally heard about Cooper's on TikTok and decided to come and show some support and hopefully try some good food. Shop is a bit hidden from view but has good parking. Shop has plenty of seating, nice decor and a self-serve drink station. Staff was very friendly and food was out about as quickly as you'd expect a sandwich to be made. I ordered The Simba Sandwich and made it a meal, which came out to $17.50 which in my opinion is a bit much for portion size but I understand it's a small business. The Simba Sandwich was a hot sandwich, which I did not expect but I also didn't hate. I'm not typically a hot sandwich person and I did think the sandwich was a bit decedent, but it had good flavor and was definitely filling (at least to me). I'm definitely curious to try the other sandwiches and maybe even a pizza! Will be sure to stop by next time i'm in Austin! Would recommend if you're looking to try a new sandwich place.

Pretty underwhelming. My sandwich was on par with what I could get at Subway. The person working the counter seemed half asleep.

We've been to their multiple locations across Austin and they all are phenomenal, but we especially love this one for its ambiance and layout. They have a beautiful mosaic mural on the counter with a good amount of seating inside. Every time we've visited this location they've always greeted us upon entering, provided seamless ordering and a quick turn around on our order. PLUS our order always comes just as we ordered it, even with any additions we'v made. We've tried a variety of their sandwiches at this point and while they are all super good, hands down our favs have got to be the Big Fat Snarf, Italian Supreme, The Italian and honestly the kids pb and jelly (yes random, but damn its so simple yet tasty) We love the toastiness of their sandwiches and how loaded they make them all, plus they have a long list of options! Even gluten free and vegetarian! If you haven't yet been to a snarfs you MUST go! They will definitely cure any sandwich craving you're having!

The bread was really good. Nice and crusty. Plenty of tasty melted cheese. The meatballs were rather unexceptional though, just nothing special. Staff were nice and I liked the laid-back hippy-ish feel of the place. I'll definitely come back to try something else soon.

Seriously honest sourdough bread and bagels…read more Honest means that to maintain quality, They don't make a lot of what they've got. So when they sell out, everything really is gone. Since the word has gotten out about Casper Fermentables, They sell out early in the day. By lunch time, the bagels were all gone. By 1 pm, everything was all gone and they were shutting up to go home. So set your alarm clock early if you want to go to Casper Fermentables. * * * A charm of Casper Fermentables is that their sandwiches and bagels are seriously overstuffed. Samuel C. loves himself a good overstuffed sandwich. More is more. But Paradise Has Its Price. If your bagel or sourdough bread is overstuffed, that makes it harder to taste the sourdough. Which kind of defeats the primary purpose of you being there. However, if you really concentrate, And eat mindfully, You can make out the taste of that bagel or sourdough bread Underneath all the good stuff. That is a real pleasant moment when that taste comes through. You are going to have to concentrate to get to that sourdough taste. I was with interesting fascinating company - a good person who I hadn't seen in a long time. That was a pleasure in and of itself ... But like my really good tuna salad with excellent dijon and hot pepper oil, It was a delightful distraction from the sourdough. * * * Some things in life are better than fermented bread. But this is good honest fermented bread.
