A brown food truck with a large open serving window displays two smiling staff members inside, preparing food. The truck has a menu board on the right listing various crepes and sandwiches. The setting appears to be outdoors with trees visible in the background, and the truck is parked on a gravel surface.

Love that this couple refinished a camper and started their own business! They make a mean panini and smoothie. We happened upon this place while visiting Austin, and were even more excited when we saw that there was a bonus dog park attached to it! Cool people, great food, and right off the lake for you to take a walk before or after you finish your Rye Bread Bar Nosh. What I also loved is that all the food trucks that are located here promote and support one another--definitely a community vibe.

We ordered iced espressos and chatted with the owners. Super nice and can't wait to come back and try the food.

The place is just adorable in a little nook on Riverside in Austin, Tx. The staff, she was amazing and extremely helpful; and her recommendation of the "Red Corvette Refresher" was delish! Furthermore the (Veggie Panini) on the menu is to L.i.V.E for you guys Def recommend people to check out this lovely little spot.

Strawberry and jam crepe with whipped cream and their new experimental citrusy-spiced cider, which is excellent.

Fresh and delicious crepes and very friendly service. I had the strawberry and jam crepe, and my husband and friend both had Nutella crepes and they were all great. I asked the owner if they served any hot drinks, and he let me test out a hot cider he's been working on. It was excellent ~ super citrusy and not overly sweet. I really hope they start serving it soon for cooler days ~

This is my new favorite beverage bar on the trail. The attention to detail is insane. Handmade, crafted, natural, and beautiful drinks. Yes, that is a pineapple slushy topped mocktail with a raspberry rosemary twist. The drinks are a large portion too. The smoothy was very filling and just sweet enough so that every fruit shined. This is not your average food truck. Everything this duo does is well thought out and passionate! See y'all soon as this is now a must-stop for meeeee!

Turkey panini with mushrooms instead of bacon

Super friendly staff and delicious food. I got the turkey panini and my husband got the turkey crepe. Both really good.

A person holds a clear plastic cup filled with a yellow and red slushy frozen drink, garnished with a raspberry and a yellow straw. The background features a wooden sign reading 'The Rye Bread Bar' and part of a food truck with a window and some colorful utensils inside. The setting appears to be outdoors during daytime.

This is a tiny treasure in the heart of Austin. The couple that runs it is so sweet & adorable, remembers me every time I come out now too. Met them when we first moved here and try to visit most weekends for the passion fruit raspberry drink. SO FREAKING DELICIOUS. Definitely one of the highlights in culinary fare around Austin. Try it, you won't be disappointed. Please support them! :)

Amazing crepes and amazing drinks! They are the nicest people you could meet! This is a must stop spot when in Austin.

Strawberry kiwi agua fresca - A red strawberry kiwi agua fresca is served in a clear plastic cup with a green straw, placed on a wooden table outdoors. The background shows people sitting at tables, indicating a casual dining or outdoor seating area. The table has a natural wood finish with visible grain and knots.

This place is so delicious! Their aguas frescas are the best I have ever had. Please come just to try those. Their paninis are tasty as well. Will definitely come again!

A food truck with a Texas Turf sign is parked on a grassy area, with a black canopy and a brown exterior. The truck has a menu board and a small counter, with a picnic table placed in front of it. The background includes a building with graffiti art, a street with traffic lights, and a bright blue sky with some clouds.

Malou made the BEST ham and cheese crepe. She said it was her Danish grandmother's special recipe. We will be back!

Review: VIVEL - Lakeway…read more VIVEL in Lakeway never fails me. Every single time I come in, the food is perfect. It truly feels like a neighborhood restaurant that everyone loves--locals constantly gathering here for coffee, great food, and good company. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, making it a place people naturally return to again and again. This visit, I ordered the classic hamburger with French fries, and it was excellent--simple, fresh, and cooked just right. I also had their Moon Latte, which was absolutely delicious. Everything was spot-on. VIVEL is a wonderful place to enjoy time with friends, family, and even children. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for incredible cuisine, great coffee, and a warm neighborhood vibe.

We've been coming to Vivel regularly since moving to Lakeway and overall really enjoy it. Coming…read morefrom LA, having healthier food options nearby is really important to us, and Vivol does a great job with that. The food is consistently good, and most of the staff have always been incredibly sweet, welcoming, and helpful. That said, we had a really disappointing experience during our last visit that felt worth sharing. A younger female employee with a long dark ponytail brought our food over, I think she was a food runner - but she wasn't wearing the Vivel branded t shirt like the other employees. When my husband politely asked for ketchup, she visibly rolled her eyes before bringing it. When I then asked if I could please have a knife (I'm seven months pregnant, for context), she started to walk to get one, took two steps, turned back and said "you can go get it yourself". It felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive, especially given how quiet the café was at the time. We stayed for a while after and watched her standing by the counter organizing utensils, so it wasn't a matter of being too busy. We really like this place and will continue coming back, but this interaction stood out in a negative way and didn't reflect the level of service we've experienced before.

I dined at The Scarbrough for brunch during my stay in Austin. It was just a short, pleasant walk…read morefrom my hotel. The Scarbrough is located inside the Scarbrough Building lobby. They specialize in crepes. They have a handful of small tables as well as couch seating. You place your order at the counter then the staff brings it to you once it's ready. I ordered my go-to drink, an oat milk latte with honey and cinnamon as well as their Lox n' found croiffin. The latte was great. The Lox n' found croiffin comes with a toasted croissant roll, smoked salmon, ricotta, avocado, arugula, capers, pickled onions and dill. I added an egg for an additional charge of $2. This was a beautiful and tasty sandwich! It was very filling, too. I highly recommend checking out this unique spot!

The food is delicious, and the setting is unique, but the service is a bit slow…read more The restaurant is located in the lobby of the Scarbrough Building. It's a small space, with only around eight tables and a tiny kitchen behind the counter. It's a bit hard to locate from outside. There's no big sign on the window indicating the restaurant's name, just a plastic A-frame sign outside the building's doors. When I got there, four of the eight tables were empty but the dirty dishes had not yet been cleared. It took close to 10 minutes for the tables to be bused. Because the kitchen is so small, I'd recommend going up to the counter to order as soon as you get there. I believe you can also place your order online using the QR code on the table, but I didn't try that method. I ordered the lox n found, a toasted croissant roll with smoked salmon, avocado, dill ricotta, arugula, onion, and capers. The menu says it also comes with a side of roasted potatoes, but mine didn't come with that. The sandwich was delicious and filling, so I definitely didn't need them, but I do feel like I didn't get what I paid for.
