The dining environment is comfortable, clean, and fun. It has a lively atmosphere that works well for hanging out with friends, date nights, or even a casual dinner when you want something a little nicer. Their menu has a great variety of food and drinks to choose from, which makes it a good spot for groups. I tried the dim sum and pho, and both were fresh and delicious. What surprised me the most was that the prices were actually very reasonable, especially considering the location, atmosphere, and quality of the food. No wonder every time I come here, it's always packed. It's rare to find an Asian fusion restaurant that does this concept right, but 1618 really pulls it off.

Tom Yum Soup with Shrimp ($10): Very sour so I had to dilute it. They did give a lot of veggies and a good amount of shrimp though. However, I still recommend the tom kha soup over this one. Crispy Pad Thai ($22) + Shrimp ($2): Consistently good with any protein, but I think beef pairs the best. The pad thai was crispier this time too. Hu Tieu SG ($21) + Duck ($10): We went with the shrimp and pork belly soup option with extra serrano pepper and hu tieu kho sauce. This version is better than the Hu Tieu Kho, and the duck was a total game changer so I highly recommend adding it. Just know it runs on the blander side without the sauce so make sure you get that extra on the side. Filet Mignon Onion ($25): We got it extra spicy and requested medium rare. I thought the price was a bit steep for a small portion but the meat was cooked well and tasted really good. Five Sampler ($28): Came with fresh brisket spring rolls, grilled pork patty skewers, sugar cane shrimp, pork belly bao, 1618 eggrolls, and two dipping sauces. Best enjoyed in person since the spring rolls and bao really need to be eaten right away.

The owner even opened a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc so I could enjoy a glass which I really appreciated because it's not offered by the glass. I did try to make a reservation online but ended up calling instead. It was a bit amusing since the restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived, aside from one table and only one other couple came in by the time we finished our meal.

I ordered the Cajun surf and turf (shrimp) on a bed of garlic noodles. Everything was cooked perfectly. The steak was crazy tender and well seasoned, the shrimp had a nice pop, and I could have JUST had a plate of noodles; they were that good. The Cajun sauce complemented everything well. Even the smattering of green beans, which were probably there to add color, were outstanding. The restaurant itself was comfortable ...which is a compliment. The parking was easy. The service was outstanding. The prices were ...lower than they should have been given how delicious the food was. I will definitely recommend CK Kitchen and Bar to my friends. We came here for a birthday dinner, but with Mother's Day and graduation around the corner, I can't think of a better spot. Well done, CK.

Did not have a reservation on this occasion, but they always make me feel welcome and manage to fit us in. Sat on the outdoor covered patio that was cool and shaded. The atmosphere is modern and lively, making it a great spot for a weekend brunch. Started the meal with cocktails including Lycheetini with Deep Eddy Vodka, Giffard Lichi-li. lemon, cranberry, I cut the cranberry. Also had a Fresa Paloma with Socorro Reposado Tequila, Contratto, strawberry, lime, grapefruit, five-spice that was very sweet and garnished with a flower. You are given a card where you can mark your dim sum selections. I ordered the Shrimp Pancake, Snow Crab Ball and Chinese Sausage Sticky Rice. The standout was the shrimp pancake that had a really great texture and flavor. The snow crab ball had a strange texture with shrimp surrounding the snow crab claw. The Chinese Sticky Rice is always a favorite. Also ordered the Truffle Egg Fried rice and Birds Nest with Seasonal Vegetable. The Truffle rice is so flavorful like a flavor explosion in your mouth. The Birds Nest is made with fried potato shreds which contain the a variety of vegetables including cauliflower, peppers, mushrooms and asparagus. The nest is also edible and has a crunchy texture. The presentation of the food is amazing and everything came out hot and fresh. The flavors were on point, and you can tell there's attention to detail in the preparation. Service was attentive outdoors and the pacing of dishes felt just right for a relaxed brunch. This restaurant is truly a gem whether you come for brunch or dinner service. Will definitely be back.

The flavors were spot on and delicious. The only challenge we had was that they would not allow split checks or at least partially split checks - so we spend a huge amount of time figuring out what everyone owed. I wouldn't do a large group here in the future, but I'd definitely come back for a date or small group.

The bowls were packed all the way to the lid, so the portions were definitely generous. We had leftovers and didn't feel heavy after our meal so it's a convenient healthy option. - Braised Korean BBQ Pork: Tasted like pulled pork so we weren't huge fans. - Spicy Chicken: Not as good as the fried chicken options. It's like poached chicken tossed in a spicy sauce. Wish the sauce was caramelized so it can coat the chicken better. - Bang Bang Chicken: Fried boneless chicken bites coated in their zesty Bang Bang sauce. It was okay. I wouldn't have known it was fried and couldn't really tell what the flavor was until I read the description. - K'Pop Chicken: Fried boneless chicken bites in the Gangnam sauce. This was the best of the three chicken proteins we tried thanks to their Gangnam sauce. - Base - Brown Rice: Great texture, not hard. - Base - Jasmine Rice: Really good. The white rice tasted like it was lightly seasoned or flavored. - Base - Japchae Noodles: Delicious, well cooked with great texture and flavor. - Base - Fries: Not a great base option. The fries got soggy. - Cold Toppings: All the veggies were fresh so you really cannot go wrong. I especially loved the esquites and caramelized kimchi. Recommend skipping the tortilla strips for takeout or delivery since they can get soggy. - Sauce: The carrot ginger dressing was surprisingly really good and even had little bits in it. I was not a fan of the magic sauce since it tasted like a spicy mayo aioli that was not spicy.

I went with tofu since they didn't have any other vegetarian or pescatarian items. It was good! I went with the noodle bowl but with rice instead of noodles. The fries were great and my fiances wrap was HUGE and lasted 2 meals. We will go back again especially now that I understand that I can make my own bowl. Friendly service and comfortable space to eat at for a fast casual restaurant.
