This place is great! You can park across from the Roosevelt and just cross the street to Mannys. It's a tiny spot but it's almost Halloween and the weather is a little drier and cooler so it was great to sit outside for a bit. These sandwiches were top tier. There was literally a cook and Server but he was great, super nice and hospitable and everything tasted amazing and exceeded my expectations. The sub rolls were warm and toasty, the grilled chicken thighs were carmelized and richly flavored. The carrot sauce on the Sammie was FIRE. There was some acid from pickled veggies and crunch from the slaw. Just do it. My friend had the Cuban which would give any rival from Miami FL a run for its money. Highly recommend this spot.

Cuban vibes with delicious empanadas for breakfast. Everyone comes here for the powder room but yall are sleeping on the food at Manny's.

    This cookie is magic!

Amazing food! Get the chocolate chip cookies! All the sandwiches were fantastic but the OG was the winner. Very accommodating for a family and so delicious with excellent pricing. Kiki went above and beyond to make sure my youngest had something delicious to eat so the older portion of our crew could indulge in some delicious food. Outdoor seating is perfect ambience! Amelie took great care of us! The service was beyond fantastic!

Did not try the sandwiches but would like to next time! Took some photos for visual aid. One cushioned booth and the rest is pretty casual.

Thoroughly impressed. Yes it's expensive but what isn't now? With that in mind I had very high standards that were met. The server was an absolute delight. He was so welcoming. He went out of his way to make our experience perfect. The sandwiches were hefty. I got the cubano and there was so much meat pressed in there, it was flavorful the pickles were zingy and fresh. The bread was crispy and chewy. My husband got the club and again loaded with meat and toppings. Perfectly chewy crusty bread. The kettle chips were addictive. Very little room inside to eat but the patio is gorgeous.

New spot downtown launched its soft opening this week through April 25. Cute and casual chic outdoor décor. Pleasant service as we (colleagues) were greeted by the owner, Jason, while we browsed the menu. I ordered the BLT sandwich and opted for the side of kettle chips. The sandwich was delicious and the portion was generous. Menu prices are reasonable considering the location. I can't wait to try their happy hour at the Power Room; an adjacent interior spot to enjoy cocktails and small bites. Overall solid experience - I do recommend!

Visited Manny's earlier to try out their sandwiches! I've heard a lot about them and didn't realize they're right downtown! Street parking is available, but I prefer to park in the Chase garage that is right across the street. I landed on ordering the Birria ($14) and their Lemonade ($4), and had a few takeaways! While the sandwich was decent, I believe the bread could've been a lot less soggy, and more flavor could've been added (it was a bit bland unfortunately). The consume also lacked flavor, but overall the food was presented well. On the other hand, the service was amazing and the cashier informed me on the menu and gave me his recommendations. This would be a nice place to come if you're looking for a quick bite and in the area, or if you're working downtown.

Manny is a spectacular place for brunch on a slow Sunday. Staff is very friendly and accommodating, I enjoyed the space also. Shaded outdoor patio great views. Will definitely be back for the fire food also.

We absolutely loved this new(ish) Austin restaurant! The vibe from the street is so luscious and beachy that we stopped in for lunch on a weekday when we passed by. The decor is perfectly curated and makes you feel like you stepped into a sandwich shop in a beach town. The staff were helpful and gave good recommendations! They even gave us a tour of the no-phone speakeasy in the back while we waited for our sandwiches. The speakeasy is such a cool vibe and I love the idea of living in the moment without phones (although it was hard for my yelper self not to take a photo). Our sandwiches were great! They have gluten free bread available, and it was great too! I got the chicken salad sandwich and it was unique and had a slight kick to it. My friend got a classic turkey sandwich and loved that as well. They had refreshing aqua frescas too! Indoor and outdoor seating, with good fans and shade on the outdoor patio. We had a great time here and will definitely stop in again soon!

Grabbed a couple sandwiches after Powder Room, and were very happy with the French dip and chicken salad.

Amazing place to eat. The owner is so sweet. We got the grilled cheese and tomato bisque. It was so delicious.

I absolutely love the vibe of this place--it's definitely a high-end Mediterranean restaurant, perfect for special occasions. What really stood out was how beautifully everyone was dressed; it added to the upscale, elegant atmosphere of the entire space. The restaurant offers both indoor seating and a beautiful outdoor seating area, which really elevates the overall experience. The outdoor space, in particular, adds to the charm and makes it a great spot for a relaxed yet upscale evening. Since reservations weren't available, we decided to arrive early, expecting a long wait. Luckily, being a Sunday evening, it wasn't too crowded, and we were seated within about 20 minutes. For drinks, I ordered a Tender Robot Hazy IPA, while my husband went with the Verdant Mai Tai. I was a bit disappointed to learn they only serve canned beer and don't offer draft options, as I personally prefer draft beer and am not a big fan of cocktails, which tend to be too sweet for my taste. For the main course, I had the Heirloom Chicken Thighs, and my husband ordered the Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes. Both dishes were cooked to perfection--flavorful, well-seasoned, and the meat was incredibly tender. That said, the portion sizes felt a bit small considering the price point. We ended the meal with the Sticky Date Cake, and it was hands down the best I've ever had--rich, perfectly balanced, and absolutely delicious. Overall, we had a great experience. Between the beautiful ambiance, flavorful food, and exceptional service, it's a place I'd definitely return to. I'm giving it 4 stars mainly because of the lack of draft beer and the smaller portion sizes for the price, but it's still a fantastic spot worth visiting.

We made the decision to leave before a full meal because the menu wasn't as vegetarian and gluten free friendly as we'd thought it might be. Danny was our waiter and he was very understanding! He gave us several great drink recommendations. We all very much enjoyed our cocktails and mocktail with a side appetizer of squash. We appreciated the discount on valet parking if you eat at Nido and get your ticket validated. I'm sure I'll be back here on a sunny day and book far enough in advance to sit outside.

The cocktails were delicious, although definitely on the pricey side. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the setting. The portions were extremely small, and the prices felt very steep for both the quality and the amount served. While the presentation was nice, the taste simply didn't justify the cost. On top of that, having to pay $15 for valet added even more to an already expensive evening. Overall, Nido is worth visiting once for the views and a cocktail, but I personally wouldn't return for dinner. There are plenty of other spots in Austin that offer much better value for the price.

Tempura mushrooms were incredibly memorable in umami, sweetness, acidity, and perfect fry. Highly recommend for a comforting shareable. 4. Lobster spaghettini was a justified lobster pasta take - something you can't always say when you take chances on lobster pasta. The establishment is even grander than the photos make it out to be... massive rooms peppered with large wooden beams; tables; and ironworks throughout. There were two other tables finishing up, and us. Our 40-something waiter had just the right balance of casual earthiness and professional attentiveness to match the stateliness of this restaurant. I ordered the Double Feature (Mezcal, hibiscus, ginger) $17 and she her usual "old fashioned" Montecristo (rye, highland park, cynar) $18. Both were fabulous. For apps we noticed charred/tossed brussles with one of the entrees and asked our waiter if that could be an appetizer (not on the menu) and he promptly said Done! It was terrific. For entrees she ordered the Texas Wagyu Strip $48 and I had my go-to fav whenever I see it on a menu: Short Rib $40. See the menu pics for the sauces and sides, suffice to say... incredible. By 8p we were the only occupants left in this cathedral-like establishment and ended up lingering until 9:45, ordering another drink and then one of THE best desserts I have ever had... the Guinness Chocolate Cake (with pumpkin puree, candied quinoa, and maple/choc ice cream) $12. We agreed that the candied quinoa was over the top - adding a delightfully subtle crunch to every bite in this richly dark choc dessert. After realizing that for the past hour we were keeping the bartender, host, waiter, and kitchen singlehandedly at our beckon call, we quietly dropped a c-note for a four-way tip.
