Beautiful view. Overpriced food and our server, Anthony was a bit rude from the beginning to the end. We went on Monday @12 with reservations for the terrace. It wasn't crowded and we were seated immediately. Donald was the server for the table near us and he was much more pleasant to his table than our server. We had the jerk chicken (a bit dry) and the burger. I wouldn't go back for the food. But it's a good place for a nice vibe, drinks and meeting up with friends

Beautiful rooftop! Met my friend here at 4 pm on a Friday and we lucked out with a beautiful, cool day. We sat on the couches and had a couple glasses of sparkling rose. Great service - will be back for full dinner one day soon. The hotel lobby is beautiful and the views from the 8th floor are even better. Totally felt like I was on vacation! Loved our experience here!!

Nido sends detailed instructions after you book, including valet info ($15) and dining time limits. Dessert was on the house for my birthday along with a signed birthday card, which instantly elevated the whole experience. Honestly, how often do you get something for free at a restaurant that isn't an apology? We fully leaned into the indulgence and ordered: Lasagna Tuna carpaccio Two mocktails And the complimentary carrot mille-feuille dessert Everything was flavorful, rich, and absolutely worth it. Because Nido sits across the water from downtown, the terrace gives you a full skyline view that's all tall buildings reflected on Lady Bird Lake. It feels scenic and calm rather than busy and street-level. They do have indoor seating, but the terrace is the move if the weather cooperates. Interestingly, the restroom in Nido is co-ed.

I went to this rooftop on December 31st to watch the fireworks and enjoy the view,l and it was such a great experience. The view is definitely the highlight of this place perfect for special occasions, however for New Year's Eve the fireworks view is limited but we still enjoyed it. The service was 10/10. Our waiter was incredibly kind, attentive and made us feel taken care of the whole time, which honestly makes a huge difference. The food was tasty and the drinks were really good too. Everything came out on time and was well prepared. They have valet parking for $15 in the lobby which is very convenient. Overall, this is a great spot if you want to relax, have a nice drink or even go on a date.

We came for New Year's Eve and it had the perfect ambiance for the night. We sat outside and had the most spectacular views of downtown. The server was very nice and helpful with explaining the menu and was good about getting us out on time because we had a show later that night. My ratings of our meal below. Mussels - 10/10, wow these were amazing! The wine cream broth was so good we dunked bread in it to sop it up. There was a great hint of lemon in the onion mix in the broth that was the perfect hit of citrus. The mussels were perfectly cooked and served over the crispiest potatoes that were perfect to also soak up that incredible sauce. They also split this for me and my husband at no charge which I loved. This was my favorite dish. Snow crab - 7/10, good flavor but hard to eat with how it was presented and not really enough of it to call it a true appetizer. Octopus - 8/10, my husband rated this one because I order octopus every time we go some where and I just can't make myself like it when it's whole like this. They did crisp up the outside which was a nice touch and the sauce was very good saffron aioli. Brussels sprouts - 10/10, the waiter told us that a lot of people won't order this because it's a cold dish but he said when they serve it as part of their Thanksgiving meal that there is never any left on the plate. I totally get why. This was so surprisingly fresh and delicious. My husband and I were basically fighting over the last of it. The fresh chunks of cheddar cheese, simple vinaigrette, and cashews were the perfect combo Lamb cavatelli - 9/10, pasta cooked perfectly and very flavorful braised lamb. Lamb is gamier so just keep that in mind but we enjoyed this dish especially all the fresh parm on top.

Tonight we just stopped in for a drink. Nido is on the 8th floor of the Loren hotel. Super convenient location with beautiful views of downtown and right across the street from the Zach theater. What a lovely and romantic atmosphere with cocktails made with great care. Next time we will come back for dinner!

Short story, go here for the views at sunset if you're looking for an instagram shoot. At least that's what I learned once the sun started going down and I saw all the influencers lining up to get their perfect photo (to be fair it worked and we got some pics as well!) the food and drinks here are fine. Nothing that will blow you away, but will most likely get the job done. It is pricey for below average quality which is to be expected given it's attached to the Loren. Our service was great though and the overall vibe was very relaxing. They let you take your time on the patio to really soak in the views which is the best part about this place. Reserve a patio spot and go here for drinks, slow down and take it all in.

Pro-tip: despite what Google says, Nido does not do Happy Hour. However, it's still worth going around happy hour time for the view. You're covered from the sun between the hours of 5:30 and 6:30, you catch golden hour, followed by the city line coming to life around 7:30. Josh was fantastic. Such a welcoming smile and attentive to our entire party. His recommendations were honest and varied across the entire menu. It also was such a pleasant surprise to be welcomed with birthday wishes, which was not expected at all. Ambiance met all the expectations. Why go to a balcony downtown, when you have a perfect balcony facing downtown with greatttt views. Food was good, not great. We had a little bit of everything -- Oysters and Hamachi from the raw (both better than average), Summer Beans from the garden, the Crab Agnolloti was the best of all that we ordered, and the Redfish (fish was a bit overcooked, but the curry was delicious). Thank you, Josh! We can't wait to visit again.

Lovely spot in a picturesque view of the Austin skyline. Food was very good. The star of the show in my opinion was the lasagna. Service was solid. Food came quick, service for drinks could be a bit faster

The decor and views are phenomenal! Definitely a cute spot to stop in for small bites. As someone who is gluten free and knows what I can and cannot have the menu wasn't impressive in any way. We decided to make this our pre-breakfast stop and go somewhere else after. Again, if you want some cute pictures, a refreshing mocktail, and small bites, this is a great spot to stop in!

Amazing view with great food! Donald our server was super great and helpful with the menu! I ended up going with the burger like a big girl lol! But my sister did the chicken and it was declious! Honestly it was all good

King Kong and ghost Rider - A restaurant table holds two cocktails—one with a lime wedge and a frothy top, and another with a lemon slice and chili rim—and a bottle of San Pellegrino sparkling water.
    Teri K.

Stopped in for cocktails after Theater across the street. It was mid afternoon on a Sunday so there were open seats by the lovely picture windows. The King Kong is one of the most delicious cocktails I have ever tasted. It was perfectly balanced and had almost a coffee flavor. My boyfriend tried the ghost Rider, which was another homerun. We enjoyed some crunchy Marcona almonds as a snack. They have my absolute favorite wine on the menu, Pyramid Valley. I can't wait to come again and try a bottle.

My husband asked our server what the prepaid experience included and was told it came with "2 pairings," so we reasonably assumed that meant two drinks each. At the end of the night, we were presented with an additional $80 bill. When we questioned this, the manager explained that the prepaid "pairings" were actually just small pieces of truffle chocolate meant to accompany drinks, and that the prepaid price was for the chocolate and "access" to the Valentine's Day menu -- not the drinks themselves. None of this was clearly explained upfront, and the wording of "2 pairings" is misleading. Had we understood that the $60 per person covered only chocolate and menu access, we would have made a different decision. What was meant to be a special Valentine's surprise ended up feeling confusing and disappointing due to poor communication. Clearer explanations and transparency would go a long way.

It wasn't super busy on the Monday we went, but since he was the only one manning the bar, the bartender was always doing something, so I don't blame him fully for not checking back in with us. I ordered a drink called the Velvet Vice. It looked nothing like the picture and tasted similar to an Aviation cocktail with egg whites. I happened to really like it.
