Wife and I were looking for some breakfast for our stay in Austin and we came across this place on yelp. When we walked into the Marriott we were greeted by a kind employee in the lobby who walked us over to the restaurant. We had a wonderfull waitress in Heaven and when the wife wanted the free pressed juice with a shot of vodka on the side she made it happen :) . For the first time I went non-alcoholic! That green juice was so good I had another. Now for the food: Deviled eggs, crab croquettes, grilled cabbage salad and shrimp tacos all pleased the palate! This was a great breakfast and it was nice to see the manager go over to the patrons to see that we were all taken care of. We sat on the patio. There's a construction site next to it, along with street and car noise, but it wasn't overly disturbing. Our server didn't give us time to settle in, look over the menu, or enjoy our drinks and appetizers at our own pace. We felt like he wanted to rush through the service, and when we asked for a bit more time, he seemed annoyed. The prices are high for the quality and portion sizes you get, even for a hotel restaurant. We ordered the burrata and spicy tuna bruschetta -- both were good, especially the bruschetta. Our party also ordered the filet mignon, Scottish salmon, and rotisserie chicken. The steak was overcooked. The salmon was good, while the chicken looked pale and had an okay flavor. The key lime pie had a very hard crust (possibly stale?), and the sorbet was just okay. Overall, the service was not as welcoming as we expected and made us feel rushed to finish. The prices also do not feel proportionate to what you get. I don't think we would come back, especially with so many other options around. read more

Corinne is always on point. No matter the occasion, they never miss. We came back for a short birthday dinner and to watch some football, and the experience was flawless from start to finish. We asked if it would be okay to order food from the bar in the lobby, and they were more than accommodating -- which honestly says a lot about their service. The bartender was incredibly nice, attentive, and made us feel completely taken care of the whole time. And the food? 10/10. Every single bite was on point. Corinne continues to be one of those places you can count on for great food, great service, and a relaxed but elevated vibe. Perfect for celebrations or even a casual night out. Although I didn't eat at the restaurant, but it looked nice when I came downstairs from my hotel room to pick up my lunch order. They had plenty of seating. The waitstaff were friendly and helpful with my order. I ordered the chicken club sandwich. It was a decent size and tasted fine. The fries were good and they gave me plenty of ketchup packets. I wish they had more of a selection though. I thought the menu was a bit limited for someone who has diet restrictions like myself. read more

We made a dinner reservation for 630p on 12/30. Upon arriving, we were promptly seated and our waiter greeted us shortly. He offered recommendations on appetizers and entrees, making it easier for us to place our order. At his suggestion, we got the spicy tuna bruschetta - which was a winner! It was like a spicy tuna roll and grilled bread had a baby and kicked rice to the curb lol. We also ordered the burrata cheese, which came topped with almonds and a side of apricots. This wasn't as big of a hit with the family. Husband got the wagyu ribeye, which was cooked perfectly at medium. It came with roasted potatoes and peppers. He quite enjoyed the steak. My Texas redfish was delicious and perfectly portioned. The flavors balanced well, especially with the creamy spongy and mushrooms underneath. The teen got the truffled bucatini. She said it was okay. Reminds you of truffle parm fries but with bucatini noodles lol. The 9 y/o got a kids macaroni & cheese, which I found to be kinda dry ab lackluster. Stopped in at Corinne in the Austin Marriott on Cesar Chavez. We are at the Austin Marriott for the Diana Ross concert. We ordered the Old Dog, New Tricks drink along with Parker House Rolls and Deviled eggs. The devil eggs were good, however, the rolls were the real standout. The rolls were light, fluffy and buttery and the whipped butter made them even more enjoyable to eat. We were told we had two interchangeable servers - Taj & Jarrod. Both were amazing! Got a chance to host a friend visiting Austin today who stays across the street from Corinne. Glad we chose Corinne for dinner. Beautiful interior. Great spot for business dinner or even a date night. Their menu are shareable and that's just what we did! We enjoyed pretty much everything we ordered and service is very attentive. -Burrata Cheese (4/5) Creamy and decadent perfection. The milky burrata is beautifully contrasted by the tangy yet refreshing taste of apricot and sweet honey and nuttiness of the almond crunch. A classic, executed flawlessly. Perfectly toasted rustic bread pairs so well with the burrata. -Crab Croquette (3.5/5) Nice in texture with a phenomenally crisp, golden shell gives way to a luxurious and steaming hot interior of sweet, delicate crab. I wish they have more crab though. The aioli added a creamy, lemony finish. - Wild Mushroom Bolognese (3.5/5) A rich and savory take on the classic. An earthy medley of wild mushrooms creates a robust, meaty texture, all coated in a silky sauce and clung to perfectly al dente pasta. Umami heaven. - Longbone Pork Ribeye - (5/5) The showstopper. Huge!! We asked for medium well. Incredibly juicy and flavorful, with a magnificent sear. The quality of the pork shines, elevated by a sweet yet savory glaze. A must-try for any meat lover. -Spicy Margarita (4/5) The classic lime and tequila foundation is electrified by a clear, sharp jalapeño heat that lingers. Everything slapped, come eat here. Staff was really nice, the place was pretty and classy, great for a romantic date or even for a casual hang. The food was yummy and we had so much left over that we ate it the next day. The drinks were fantastic as well. I highly recommend. You can dress up and fit the space but if you're dressed down, you won't feel out of place - maybe stick to nicer sneakers if you're dressed casually. read more

Braised Wagyu ($26): Served with pommes purée, heirloom carrots, thick bacon, and wild mushrooms. The wagyu was very soft and tender, pairing nicely with the creamy pommes purée. The carrots were undercooked, and I didn't see or taste any bacon, which was surprising considering it's listed in the description. Longbone Pork Ribeye ($36) + Oscar Topping ($12): Comes with tomatillo, hominy, spiced agave, and grilled corn. I wasn't a fan of the tomatillo which tasted unripe. The hominy kale salad, however, was good. The pork ribeye was massive but too fatty, even for my husband. The flavor was just okay too. He enjoyed the Oscar topping (jumbo lump crab with hollandaise), but I thought it had a strong, not-so-fresh crab taste. I tried this place for breakfast while staying at the hotel it's in. The food was all very good! The pancakes were crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The bacon was cooked just right and plentiful. The eggs were just ok, hence the 4 stars. I also got a breakfast burrito later on and it was delicious. Food was unsatisfactory as a whole. Ordered room service and it came all in to-go containers; breakfast items eggs, chicken sausage, potatoes and a oat milk cappuccino. After only a couple of bites from the food, ended up tossing the entire thing. Chicken sausage tasted and looked like a ball park hot dog, potatoes had no seasoning and were saturated in oil that did not taste freshly changed, eggs were in one thick blob with a slab of cheese slightly melted on top. The cappuccino was hardly that of; they use either Peerless coffee or something very similar. Tasted cheap and burnt. The oat milk was only warmed with zero foam at the top, defeating the purpose of a cappuccino. Will not be spending $ here again. Poor quality food. read more

First time at Corrine Austin for Sunday Brunch. We decided to eat outside since it wasn't too hot. There was one other table of 2 guests sitting outside with drinks and not busy compared to inside. We waited 10+ minutes for someone to greet us and the first person to do so was delivering a drink we didn't order. When our waitress Kensy (?) , the reason for 3 stars and not 2, provided some great recommendations; however the food was lack luster. While we waited for our food, we were delivered someone else's food and our biscuits were delivered to another table of guests. I'm shocked at the lack of organization of service. As for the food, the "homemade" biscuits are not traditional flaky layered more like a scone, the peppered bacon doesn't have pepper on it, and "brioche" bread for the chicken sandwich was stale. Celebrated Yoga Teacher Training graduation over brunch and had a great time. The restaurant is beautiful inside and very elevated. We ordered biscuits and crab croquettes to share then I ordered the "eggs your way" which is a standard breakfast offering. My only grievance was that I told my server I needed to leave early to attend a "celebration of life" ceremony and it took them 30+ minutes to get my check/process my card, etc so I ended up being late to the ceremony. read more

The service was also bad, server never came by to refill waters, our appetizer was delivered with the main meal, and honestly it wasn't that busy in there, so no excuses for this. Marriott's upscale bar and restaurant at the Marriott Downtown. It has the challenge most hotel restaurants have of wanting to charge a high price and needing to find a way to justify that price. As a drinking place, it might work. As an eating place, it doesn't work. * * * Corinne's room is beautiful. They have good bottles to drink. I have no idea how the mix mastering is Because I was there on a work afternoon and not drinking. But either by day or by night, I could see ordering some of the primo whiskeys they had at the bar, and settling in for a long spell of looking at the room or looking at the landscape. I unfortunately caught them on a day when one of the walls had accumulated lots of dust and dirt from whatever. In my case that was a total moodbreaker. But the rest of the room was impeccable - When I mentioned this to staff - they immediately trotted out the perfect implement for the job - and cleaned the wall nicely. So in general, I think you get a spotless beautiful room in which to do your alcoholic musing. * * * Food is another story. It is a limited menu fixed ingredients place - which is now a lot of hotel restaurants keep their costs down. Marriott raises the tab by artful ingenuity and classy touches on the execution. When they work. Over at Marriott's Champions on the Fourth Street Marriott Courtyard, they do this with a Cobb Salad. That Cobb Salad just beats the band. Marriott on Cesar Chavez kind of bellyflopped on the two dishes I tried. * * * One dish was crab croquettes. Crab anything is hard. Crab in the shell is a pain in the ass to fight through the shell to eat and you don't get much. Crab out of the shell loses flavor superfast. Fake Krab out of the surimi boat generally has better taste and longer shelf life than does real life crab. Crab cakes are Maryland's biggest disappointment. (They compensated with Maryland Rye, World Class Lacrosse and Johns Hopkins.) Marriott working with worse crab than you would get in Maryland doesn't improve the low bar set by crab cakes in general. Pretty much tasteless with some vague compensation from a lemony sauce. * * * The other dish was a wedge salad. THIS version though tried to justify the megatab with a great big long huge slab of candied bacon on top of the salad. Literally that sucker was two inches wide and a foot long. It covered the plate. It was just as sweet and fatty as you would expect candied bacon to be. * * * The trouble was That you usually eat a salad because you are looking for something light and healthy. A slab of pork fat as long and wide as a kielbasa is not what you call light and healthy. A sprinkling of bacon on your salad to give it body and taste ... sure! Plus candied bacon is syrupy and cloying. The fat content was through the roof. By the 1/4 mark, this bacon was no fun anymore. By the 3/4 mark, I was starting to feel genuinely nauseated. The wedge salad had a lot of other very nice touches. The dressing and the heirloom cherry tomatoes were first rate. But that stupid piece of bacon ruined everything ... And that bacon was only there to justify a price. * * * Marriott tries hard. I suspect that I could have picked other things on the menu and had a wonderful meal. If I was attending a convention at the Austin Convention Center, (Say I was one of the bureaucrats or money guys who goes to South by Southwest ...) And I was tired, didn't want to fight the street crowds and was travelling on an expense account, Corinne might be just what I need to have a meal, have a drink or six, and get my thoughts back to where I want them to be. Corinne would be crowded during South by Southwest ... but I would be smart enough to reserve a table. * * * Austin locals can do better than this. That includes doing expensive dining and drinking. The visiting executive can also do better if he has the energy to grab an Uber and go to one of Austin's many spectacular dining locations. Nearly all of them are out of the Downtown South by Southwest Impact Crater. read more

This is my 2nd time here. I originally came for expresso martinis and dessert since Zanzibar upstairs does not have dessert on their menu. There is a parking garage right next door that only charges $10 for up to 6 hours. We sat the bar and had 3 great bartenders. We decided to order everything off the happy hour menu to try it all. I really loved the buffalo cauliflower probably because it tasted just like buffalo and nothing like cauliflower, the chicken club was also really good and not layered with all the bread like a real club, the crab croquettes were bite sized crab cakes so a perfect snack. The veggie tray was another one of our favorites. All of the veggies were crisp and fresh and the avocado hummus was so tasty. The shoestring french fries were also delish! I forgot to photograph the happy hour drinks but the old dog new tricks was my favorite. I could not skip my favorite dessert the ooey gooey butter cake, its a must if you eat here. read more

We stayed at the Marriott for a work conference and found ourselves trapped by pouring rain. We decided to try Corinne for dinner which is in the lobby of the Marriott. They did not disappoint, we shared the bruschetta and Mac and cheese, both were incredible. We chose their chicken noodle soup as our entree, it was so flavorful. Beautiful restaurant downtown that can be accessed through the conjoined hotel. We were sat promptly on a Friday night and our orders came out quickly. My boyfriend and I opened to order a few apps and split an entree. I will say the wedge salad was not my favorite and I would not recommend that personally. The bacon it came with was good but instead of complementing the salad, it just didn't tie into the salad. The salad dressing was just also okay. However the steak tartar was my favorite and is one of my favorite that I've had. It was perfectly seasoned, and I appreciated the onions and capers in it. The toast it was served with was delicious and not overly baked. The deviled eggs were also delicious and the sauce glazed on the plate was just as good (I wish that was over the salad instead). Lastly, we shared a braised wagyu and it was moist and tender and well seasoned. read more

It's the kickoff of the holiday vacation and took my ladies to the movies and then we headed down to Corinne's for brunch!...hidden inside the Marriott this place just doesn't miss! The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. We were seated pretty fast and immediately our server Phumzile was on top of everything from intro to bill delivery. She took our drink orders and appetizers were delivered so fast. We started with the Biscuits..shhhh...be careful with them because I swear there something addictive about them..I think there's someone in the kitchen pouring LOVE into these things...but get them! We moved on to the crab croquettes...crispy outside and fluffy crabby goodness inside! The mains came out and all we heard at the table was " ohhh this is yummy, can I taste yours!?" Across from the convention center in the Marriott hotel lobby is a little restaurant that thinks rather highly of itself. The service is okay, but really, for the price, I expect more knowledge and attention. Our silverware had to be sent back because it was sticky and our server was a little dingy and often unavailable. We started with the Parker Rolls, which were crusty and slightly salty with a buttery finish. It also came with a large ramekin of cold butter which seemed unnecessary and not very useable. The crab croquettes were light and tangy. For entrees we ordered the steak frites and diver scallops with broccolini and pommes puree. Loved the steak and fries. But the poached egg mayo was out of place. Scallops were creamy and well-cooked. Could not get enough of the broccolini! Our cocktails were well-done. So overall, it was nice. It tried. I first visited in November 2022 while in town for a tech conference. Sadly, it was our last stop before heading to the airport but we sat barside receiving great service during happy hour. If you remember nothing else about this place, remember these two words: DEVILED EGGS! Their craft cocktails are also great. Fast forward to November 2023, we return while in town for the same conference but it's a Sunday. Upon being seated, the manager overheard our excitement about the eggs & informed us that it wasn't part of the brunch service. However, he offered to speak with the kitchen to see if they'd accommodate us since we were heading to the airport after brunch. Honestly, the fact that he offered was more than enough but THEN he returned to the table with good news, the chef agreed to hook us up! The chef delivered them himself to see our excitement LOL such an unforgettable memory. Our party of 4 was then offered a complimentary mimosa flight (the juice choices are yummy) & they surprised us with another order of eggs. The food here is phenomenal. Their homemade biscuits are fresh, fluffy & so yummy it's unreal. The crab croquettes were mouth watering too! We ended up getting another order. A huge thank you to the manager & the rest of the staff for their dedication to great customer service. They didn't have to go above & beyond for us but they did so WITH PLEASURE! read more

This was my first time visit with friends for a bachelorette trip. We came on a Saturday around 11:30 am. We sat outdoors which was nice to people watch. The server was really nice but we could tell maybe the staff were short because it took a very long time to order, get the food & get our check. The server did apologize for the wait. My friends got the detox & melon berry cooler juices and an iced latte. We weren't sure if lattes were available since it was on the menu but the server was able to whip up a pretty good one! We got the biscuits to share which were delicious! Two friends got the breakfast sandwich which they did not enjoy and could only eat half. Another friend and I got the omelette but I ordered mine without mushrooms which was delicious. We all agreed the fingerling potatoes were really good. First time at this restaurant and it was amazing. Came about 15 minutes prior to dinner so we had some drinks wife, daughter and I. Once 5pm came, we seated immediately and given menus. Our waiter was excellent and very knowledgeable about what to add to make our meal so much better. Ambiance was also nice. There is a reason we continuously come back to this establishment. There's a heavy focus on really freshly made traditional American fare... But I'm talking actual traditional food, like their beef dish, roasted chicken, their dinner rolls, burgers... All rate a 5 out of 5. It's not the cheapest restaurant but you absolutely get what you pay for. I pay attention to how cooked or overcooked meat is and they have never been overcooked. The beef dish that I got last time was so tender and full of complex flavor. I'm fairly confident there was wine used in the dish. The bread rolls are also a favorite of mine and appear to be freshly baked. The ambience of the restaurant is also really beautiful and romantically lit. The customer service is stellar every time I visit. Lastly, the cocktails are delicious with a really great balance between flavors. I can't wait for my next special occasion so I can come back and eat more tasty food! read more
