Great river views towards south Austin! We were able to catch the sunset right near the end of the day on a weekday. Not too crowded and good vibes. Service was quick and easy. The food was pretty decent as well. I didn't get a drink myself but I saw others get drinks and they looked great!
Great outdoor bar with an amazing view of the downtown Austin skyline. We got there after the kitchen was closed for the evening, but the cocktails were amazing! Great quality, perfectly balanced, and decent prices. The seating was comfy and set up to let conversation flow.
I made a reservation for (one) a few weeks in advance because I'd heard it has one of the best sunset views in Austin, and I wanted to guarantee a good seat. I can confirm: the view is spectacular... if you can actually see it. Only 80% of the tables have a view worth making a reservation for. When I arrived, they seated me at a two-top right by the host stand, just inside the rooftop area. Technically outside, but functionally indoors. My view consisted mostly of the backs of people's heads, a sliver of sky with direct sun, distant buildings, and one very unfortunate, ugly rooftop. The host said she'd try to move me to a table on the "other end," but explained that some guests were overstaying their reservation time limits and hadn't left yet. Then, with a sliver of sun showing, they moved me to the good side of the bar. I was seated in a low lounge setup with a couch and two chairs in a space that could easily fit 5-6 people, and the view was completely different. From there, I could see the water, skyline, bridge, and the rest of the sunset as the sky changed colors. I didn't stay long, because now I felt rude taking such a large table for one person! What I Ordered Botanical Reset Mocktail -- $12 Chocolate Tahini Mousse -- $11 The mocktail was refreshing, but the mousse was the memorable choice. It was one of the best desserts because it was rich, balanced, and an incredible mix of textures and flavors. During bat season, this bar also has a fantastic view of the Congress Avenue Bridge bats, for some of the tables... This bar was confusing to locate. The elevator didn't list the bar, and the floor I initially got off on (following other rooftop wanderers) looked like it belonged to something else entirely. Here's how to find it: Go to the 6th floor. When you exit the regular elevator, turn right. Walk down the hallway to the end. Turn right again, and go down a couple of stairs. P6 will be straight ahead. There's also a separate elevator somewhere else, apparently, but I took the one from the lobby. Seating tip: If they seat you on the side as you enter P6, you might not get much of a view. If you're on the opposite side (like in the photos on their website), the sunset and bridge views are absolutely worth it.
Recently came here for the second time and I had to leave an updated review because this place has consistently been disappointing with their service and food. I am not one to leave a negative review but the only thing this place has going for it, is its view. Service here has been very below average during both of my experiences. Our server was not super nice and we went long periods of time waiting for her to come to our table. The food this time around was ok but the shrimp I got to go on my caesar salad were honestly very overcooked. I hate to say it but I am just not a fan of this spot.
We made reservations to hopefully watch the bats fly out from Congress Bridge at dusk, but the bats didn't cooperate. We were seated near the air conditioning units so it was LOUD, then they sat us at a different table which was near other loud electrical equipment. Oh, well. The views were beautiful and the food was good. The restaurant is all outdoors. There were many servers (Sammy and John were the main two) who kept our drinks refilled and brought food as it was ready. We loved the herb za'atar rolls with spicy whipped butter, Greek panzanella salad with yummy pita croutons and feta, roasted carrots, beef tenderloin with roasted potatoes, linguine, and cheese/meat charcuterie. Unfortunately both of the desserts we tried (chocolate mousse and semolina pistachio cake) were dry and flavorless. We were staying at The Line on the sixth floor do we just had to walk down the hall the restaurant. The hotel offers discounted parking if you're just dining at the restaurant.
This place was SOO cute! From the path to the elevator to the rooftop! Was not expecting this place to look as luxurious as it did. Even if you don't get to sit outside, the inside is a whole separate experience. The cocktails were delicious. We tried their popular Sundown Cobler, Herb and Vine, and Hill Country Gold. -1 Star because although the drinks were absolutely amazing, they overfilled my cup with ice (see picture). I have never seen anything like this lol. THEN, My second drink was not even filled up. They served me half a cup with a giant ice cube in the middle
Went here with 3 friends after my one friend completed the half marathon! We went to brunch nearby then walked over to P6 for cocktails on the rooftop. We were seated right away near the water and took in the sunshine. It was great! Our server was so sweet. I didn't catch his name, but he was over the top friendly and attentive. We ordered a pitcher of the Sundown Cobbler which my friends raved about. We asked how many drinks were in the pitcher and he said probably 4 drinks each. We couldn't believe that because it was only the price of 4 cocktails total. We got the pitcher and 3 of us each had about 3.5 cocktails. What a deal. Super easy drinking on a hot day. 3 girls split the pitcher and each only paid $22 each. I can't wait to go back here! Their whole cocktail menu sounded good and I definitely see myself stopping here for a glass of white wine on a walk on the trail. Glad they introduced me to this place!
Stopped in last week for a drink at sunset to check out the bats. I had done some research and heard this was the spot- so true! I can't speak for food but the outside seating was perfect for chatting and having a cocktail while overlooking the water. Our server was fine and another employee gave us some tips on where to see the bats!
P6 was definitely a location to take pictures and enjoy some delicious drinks with your friends. We had an amazing server and I am so sorry I don't remember their name. And if you come to visit highly recommend getting their champagne buckets to split
A charming venue for a girls' night or brunch, though the food did not meet expectations. There are other brunch spots in the area that offer a more satisfying overall experience. Food: 1/5 Visually appealing but not flavorful or memorable. The pastries were notably dry and lacked freshness. We didn't finish everything and left hungry. (Note: We ordered 2 other dishes in addition to the ones pictured) Service: 5/5 The staff was sweet and welcoming. They always made sure we had our waters filled and checked in on us. Ambiance: 4/5 If you're looking to take pictures, this place has great views and picturesque decor. It can get windy so I suggest checking the weather before going and dressing accordingly.
5star view of the Colorado River to Start! bridges & high rises, and panoramic views! We got the best view in the place' We started with a chef's choice cheese, cocktails so good, El Greco 15, and Ibiza spritzes, the El Greco reminds me of a margarita with some interesting twists , so good! Well about a third of the plate was finished and a thunderstorm suddenly dumped blowing sideways and soaked our drinks a charcuterie plate! They reset us out of the rain comped us on th plate and drinks, so of course we bought more!!! That really blew our minds! They took such good care of us. Thank you!
Obsessed with this view and the food was amazing. It was just the two of us so we didn't have a whole party but this is better with a large group or a small party. The service was awesome and the drinks were so yummy. The playlist was awesome and the hotel it sits on is adorable and P6 was very easy to find in the hotel as well.
Came here on a Sunday afternoon for a round of drinks with friends and I must say the experience itself getting to P6 was an adventure. We went through the hotel and up to the specific floor needed and after finding the proper hallway and entrypoint we were given a beautiful view of the waterline. Decor and service were super nice and I will say this is more of a cocktail spot than trying to grab a few bites. Opted for an old fashioned which was super nice. Make sure to ask for their ingredients as they're super allergen friendly. Make sure to check their hours ahead of time as they open fairly late in the day.

If you are looking for a great view of the bats, this is one of the prime spots in Austin. We were able to enjoy some 4.5/5 level Mediterranean food with 6/5 level views. I would highly recommend if that's your goal. The servers were all very helpful, for bat viewing and menu selection! read more
This restaurant has a beautiful rooftop location, perfect for viewing the famous bats at the bridge below. Unfortunately for us, the bats didn't want to come out on the particular night that we were there, but it was still a wonderful visit here at P6! The service was amazing and food was coming out pretty quickly too despite the number of dishes we ordered for our group of 11. It's more of a casual setup with couches and lower tables so that was a little bit tricky to eat a full on fork and knife meal, but the views made up for it. They do have some barstool seating for smaller parties as well. The menu is mainly tapas/family style here so it was perfect for our big group. I really liked everything that we tried but the highlights were definitely the lamb ribs (I don't even like lamb very much), the zaatar bread, charred cabbage, and the seared branzino with beurre blanc. They had a few mocktail options, so I picked the Miami Nice, which was a refreshing strawberry flavor profile. They have valet parking and validation at the host stand which made it very convenient for us! Everything was so picturesque here. Our party of 10 opted to order a lot of mezze plates and all of the "for the table plates" to share. I didn't get many photos because we were passing so many delicious piles of food. The charred cabbage was tasty. The tahini pesto linguini was great with the shrimp. The roasted chicken was so good we ordered more. The beef tenderloin was nice and tender. The hummus with lamb chorizo was so fresh and good. The patatas bravas were so good. We had a wonderful time and lots of delicious food. They have a great patio/balcony for watching the bats, too. read more

The views and set up was really great so I think it could be a great date spot for dinner. However, we went for brunch. The service was great and the food was good but it just was a very light menu with what felt like over priced boujee choices. I got the shrimp and grits and while it was very good, the portion size was pretty small. Overall, I think I'd love to go back for cocktails and dinner but I wouldn't go again for brunch. read more
A lovely rooftop patio spot overlooking Lady Bird Lake! During bat season, it's a great spot to watch the bats around Congress Ave Bridge. We went in the winter & it was raining so they accommodated moving us inside, which is also cute. The food was pretty good & the service was excellent. You can't beat the view! read more
The view is certainly a nice touch to P6, and the shade does a pretty considerable job with the heat. The Coconut Gin Cocktail was very refreshing in the 95+ degree heat. The food, however, underwhelming. This spot is more for the view and "cute" chic. As expected, many girl dates and bachelorettes. You can expect many persons taking Instagrammable photos. Would recommend for a pre-dinner happy hour or cocktail. read more
I thought P6 was great! The service was good and the vibes are really cute. The cocktails are typically priced for a bar in Austin, and they had some interesting ones on the menu. My only complaint is that I had reserved a table for 10 outside, and when I got there it was inside. They do a great job of expressing on the website that they don't take parties larger than 12, but they didn't say anything about not having room for 10 outside. Frankly, if I had known we'd be inside I would've chosen somewhere else. My intention was for cocktails with a view, not cocktails in a room. Additionally, when I tried to contact them 3 days prior via phone (didn't answer , called 4x) and through OpenTable, about whether they had heaters outside (it was 30° out) they didn't respond until 5 minutes before our reservation. Not that it mattered since we weren't sat outside. read more

The service was great, but it wasn't the cleanest environment. The seats were dirty; however, it was outside and there had been rain. The inside was okay. Food was okay. There wasn't a lot of flavor in the hash I ordered. Fruit was out of season. But it wasn't bad. I wouldn't go back but I didn't hate it read more
Rooftop bars can sometimes be difficult to find but not P6! Located in The Line hotel on S Congress st and E Cesar Chavez in a safe part of town, P6 is a great spot to try at least once. I was lucky as I already had a room there so I was able to "mosey on down" to the bar on my own terms. Please note there is parking under P6, for a fee, under the bar so you're covered there as well. Once I got up to the wait station, having reservations in a choice section, the staff was quick to acknowledge me and with a playful manner have me seated in moments. Yes, I highly recommend making sure you get a table because the view is breath taking, much better than being inside in my opinion. My two top table was against a wall over looking the Colorado river and a good portion of the Congress bridge and street, allowing me to view all the traffic, walkers, bikers who are "enjoying" the hustle and bustle of everyday traffic at 4pm. Moreover, it's very relaxing to see people exercising on the various dirt paths that run adjacent to the river as well as all the water activities such as canoes, kayaks and paddle boarding. Finally, if you're seated around dusk there's a chance to catch "the bats" that come out en masse which can be breathtaking while the sun dips below the horizon. Aside from the extended view, the facility itself is extremely relaxing. Low chairs with cushions snuggle up to coffee tables, high top bar tables, interesting red fabrics hanging from the ceiling, rocking chairs and a slew of other visual and physical comforts challenge those with a bad day to change their tunes. Next, the servers are extremely knowledgeable and willing to walk patrons through the menu. While I didn't partake in dinner, the cocktails are explained thoroughly allowing a well-informed decision on your drinking pleasure. I'm a former chef and my only gripe was I smelled old oil on someone's fried food. Not a show stopper by any means but just a nasal observation that I can't justify by not actually eating the food itself. By the way, I saw a couple snacks patrons ordered and they looked marvelous. Back to the drinks, I had a bourbon and diet so it wasn't exactly eccentric by any means but my girlfriend did have a mixed drink. It looked extravagant with a twirl of orange peel and an olive. She gave a glowing review of it to me and the server as it was his suggestion. Overall, the ambiance is fantastic, second to none. Sometimes a restaurant or bar will rest on what makes them fantastic thus letting other aspects fall by the wayside; not P6. I honestly can't think of anything negative to comment on except pricing a smidge high but all my other expectations were exceeded. I have only the highest praise for the staff, management and all those involved including nature as it was roughly 50 degrees on a crystal clear night; a night that I was able to observe in person and elevated above the chaos at street level. My only regret is not sampling the menu, but alas I had dinner reservations at another destination. P6 is a bucket list destination which can help paint a memory that will last a lifetime. read more

We came here and sat outside on the patio. I loved the views. The ambiance was nice. I loved the blankets. However, eating a full meal off of a table the height of a coffee table while sitting on a couch was a little difficult. The food was delicious. I wish they had had more gluten free items and was happy they could accommodate and remove corn bread from the dish I ordered, despite being originally told that there could be no substitutions. I would have appreciated much quicker service; however, everyone was very nice. read more
I really liked it here! Food was good and unique. The only thing we didn't like was the hard, thick crackers on the cheese board. Other than that everything was tasty and slightly diff than what you'd find elsewhere. Great views. Downside is valet to park and you have to walk through the dark hotel to get to it. read more

I have tried to go to P6 a couple times now, and succeeded on the second try. The first time I went was on a weeknight, and it turns out there was an event going on so no one could go in. This second time that I went was also on a weeknight, but we were actually able to get seated pretty quickly. They did ask as soon as I arrived whether or not I had a reservation, and it does seem that you should probably try to make one if you want your selection of where to sit. When we came, they only had tables available on the outdoor patio, and even with the screens down to shield against the sun it was pretty warm. That said, as it got darker and the sun went down, it felt much more comfortable outside. The set up is cute out there, they have low couches with coffee tables, as well as high tables with high chairs, and regular tables. The servers checked in pretty frequently, and they are a QR menu based place. Of note, they initially told me we would only have about an hour and 15 minutes, but the place wasn't too that busy by that time, so they asked us if we would rather move inside since folks had tables outside reserved. We did, and thankfully had the chance to sit inside and enjoy the air conditioning, where there are plenty more tables! When I come again I'll definitely make reservation and choose to sit inside. On to the drinks themselves - really, really good! I had one of the most interesting and lovely takes on a martini here. On the cocktail menu, it's called the "P6 martini," and I was concerned it would be too dry, but it actually wasn't at all because it contains cream so it actually had a very creamy taste with some sweetness, but not too much. I also did try the "Hill country gold" which was fairly strong given the bourbon, but had a solid sweetness behind it because of the pear and honeysuckle. The guy I came with had the "ladybird spritz," which had a very interesting and almost bitter aftertaste to it, but was refreshing initially. We both also got happy hour beers, which are just $4. The cocktails unfortunately are full price whether it's happy hour or not, so just be aware only beer and wine or discounted. Happy hour is Monday through Friday from 4 to 6 PM, and the vibes overall are really good! The service was great, and honestly, I liked my drinks so much that I definitely would come back to try other drinks. read more

Great brunch and unique tasty cocktails with a stunning view of the river! The rooftop restaurant is very cute and vibey and we loved the "bat viewing area" - we definitely want to go back for sunset and to watch the bats one evening! Allergies aren't labeled on the menu, but the kitchen staff was knowledge and there are gluten free options including the salmon bowl and shrimp and grits on the brunch menu. The shrimp and grits was absolutely delicious! read more
Was pleasantly surprised despite the fairly poor reviews on P6. Came here for my birthday brunch on a Sunday, and the rooftop was pretty empty due to it being a blistering hot day. Thankfully they have solar screens that you can request to use! I ordered the Little Gem Caesar salad with chicken. The portion was very filing, and wow, the chicken was well seasoned and so so tasty! One of the better Caesar salads I've had! The meal was a tad bit on the pricey side but I was full after eating. I also tasted their Potatoes Bravas and Very Special Toast, both of which were flavorful and fresh. Service was a bit slow and we had to flag down the server a few times, but everyone seemed welcoming and nice despite some reviews saying otherwise. It's also great that they validate valet parking for only $10. Overall I had a pretty decent meal and the views were nice. Will be back! read more

Brunched at P6 and had a great experience! The view is absolutely beautiful--perfect for a relaxing weekend meal. I ordered the salmon bowl, which was super flavorful and fresh. I also had the Miami Nice cocktail--it was delicious and light. The atmosphere is great, and reservation is highly recommended--it gets busy! Would definitely come back. read more
