Nice date spot! There was construction nearby, so environment was meh. We tried the garlic fries, prime skirt steak, and double cut pork chop - it was good! Portion could be better for the price, but honestly the ambiance of the place makes up for it a little. Service is friendly. I'd recommend for a first timer!

Simply freaking amazing! Roberto and Bobby are the best! The food and music are to die for. Will be coming back.

We celebrated my wife's birthday here with our best neighbor friends, and we had a fantastic experience. First off the food was fantastic. For me I had the skirt steak which I truly enjoyed. I can't remember what everyone got but I can say everyone was equally impressed. Dessert was incredible as well, I would definitely recommend coming here to celebrate special occasions. I was surprised given how great a dining experience this was that we were only one of three tables occupied on a Sunday night. Anyway, we'll be back...

I thought everything was delicious. The service was excellent and the seats were comfortable. We got the Indian puff tacos, crispy cauliflower, quinoa falafel, burrata, mushrooms, lobster rolls, tomahawk ribeye, etc. all the appetizers had a twist and fusioned with something else. Highly recommend. The entrées were pretty traditional. We were too full for desserts. I enjoyed my extra dirty martinis. The other cocktails looked pretty, but a bit too sweet for me.

I went to a while back when this place first opened. I have to say the inside is so nice. It is a great venue for date night or girls night. The staff is very welcoming and very attentive they give you recommendations. We got a variety of plates cause we like to just share everything and taste many things. We did get the chimichurri steak, which is delicious and cooked perfectly. You must order the beads. It is delicious with some type of goat sauce that they bring it in. This is one of the popular dishes there. We also shared the muscles. They were in a very good sauce where you wanna continue to dip bread in to savor it. The little wedge salad plate we got I have to say was good but make sure you finish it because it does get soggy and not good after that. They have a large menu for their cocktails. I have to say they're old-fashioned was delicious and they smoke it for you right there at your table. Overall, great experience and delicious food would definitely keep going back.

Blues Brunch!!!! We had a great time here with delicious brunch and drinks, amazing service, and Blues music!! So much fun. On the pricey side, but worth it for the experience.

I'm surprised that not a lot of people are talking about the kitchen. It's amazing across all the three boxes - food, ambiance and service. They're hidden currently by construction tbh. That's not serving them well. Across from tenten, next to Devil May care - we stumbled upon this place in search of a friday happy hour. They have a happy hour every day and their menu is fusion menu of fusion of Indian, American cuisines. The bartenders were really nice. They had a very good selection of food and drinks in their happy hour menu. You can find a big gin and tonic for a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend this place. If you're in the Neighbourhood check it out some of my favorite dishes, here were puffy tacos, cauliflower, and corn salad.

Really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. For starters, I recommend getting the carrots yes, the carrots. They serve it with some whipped feta, which is out of this world. Also, their Ceviche and Crudos are worth a try. Very fresh. If you try the Duck Bao's, please note that the meat is more of a braised duck and not a peeking duck version.

Oysters wasn't chilled enough. Could have been much much better.

We were very grateful to have a reservation at this place given the fact that there were 13 of us. The restaurant was beautiful and staffs were nice. Mixed drinks mediocre. We ordered a lot of different dishes but the star of the dinner was their curry flavor cauliflower 9/10. We all agreed that the kitchen lacked of organization since French fries were the last dish that came out after the proteins were served. Austin has so much to offer so I'm not sure we're coming back anytime soon.

4.5 stars Great new addition to the ATX dining scene. It's located in the new 6G residential building. I love the decor here and the service was great even for a new spot that just recently opened. The menu choices are interesting and more creative than most of the other spots around downtown. Food here was generally very good. Food: Crispy cauliflower - didn't taste much of the cauliflower but the fried bits were good Beets - very good Crab fried rice - excellent with lumps of crab meat Squid ink Lo mein with lobster - very good Grilled oysters - delicious and not overcooked Bone marrow - very good with the lamb but not as good as the Comedor bone marrow tacos Churros - decent; very soft and fluffy Goat cheese cheesecake - very good Mousse dome - decent

The Kitchen - Austin's Best-Kept Culinary Secret (But Not for Long) Tonight marked my third time dining at The Kitchen, and I'm officially putting it in writing: This is the best restaurant in Austin. Period. Maybe even all of Central Texas. The fact that you can still snag a reservation without bribing someone in the parking lot is mind-boggling. This place is an absolute sleeper hit--but not for long if I have anything to say about it. Let's talk food, because oh honey, it deserves a standing ovation: The burrata is hands-down the best I've had anywhere--and I've done some serious globe-snacking. Creamy, delicate, perfection. The oysters? Fresh as the Gulf breeze and plated with precision. The bolognese is layered, rich, and exactly what comfort food would be if it had a PhD. The gnocchi floats like a dream and lands like a memory. The redfish and scallops are seared to sublime. And the chocolate mousse? Don't play yourself--just order it and thank me later. Pro tip: ask for Addy or Hunter--their service is equal parts charm and excellence, and they make you feel like the guest of honor at your own birthday dinner. Now, let's address the bougie elephant in the room: If you're letting someone's last name keep you from experiencing this kind of food magic, that's not political--that's tragic. You're letting your personal biases get in the way of the best meal of your life. This isn't about politics. It's about palates. And baby, this one's a masterpiece. The Kitchen is what happens when ingredients are respected, flavors are fearless, and the mission is clear: Feed people like you mean it. Book a table now. Thank me later. (Or stay mad and miss out--more room at the bar for the rest of us.) -- Kristi Hoss Schiller, Founder K9s.org Legacy in Louboutins. Burrata Evangelist. Still not over the oysters!! #WeRideAtDawn (for the chocolate mousse)

Stopped in for brunch with the family. Every dish ordered was fantastic. Started with the beignets, and apple danish's. Then moved on the a dozen oysters. Tried the cubano for a sandwich and it was amazing. Tried some of families orders such as the shrimp and grits, and the ceviche. Was all amazingly good. They offer valet service for only $13! Well worth it. Will be going back to try their tomahawk dinner entree because it looks amazing and have heard great things about it. The atmosphere was great and they had a great little band playing at the bar. Oh also the old fashioned they make was one of my favorites

***In support of Elon's unprecedented vision for space (despite his controversial everything else), I visited the restaurant owned my his brother, who appears to be a lot more chill than him.*** Absolutely loved the setting of this restaurant. Dramatic, theatre like, sensual with a touch of western. Should belong to steakhouse/upscale category. My main hype is the mussel dish. It's not hard to get the mussels right but Kimbal added youtiao to be the accent to this dish. As a kid raised in China, youtiao is our breakfast street food: it was cute and nostalgic for me. Friends got the Gnocchi and something else I don't remember then finished with cocoa mousse dome to seal the deal. I was enchanted by this experience.

If I could sum up my dinner in one word it would be WOW! I did not have a reservation but as a solo…read morediner was able to be sat at the bar with a 2 hour time limit to accomadate upcoming reservations. This window was more then enough time but if you are trying to get in without a reservation I would reccomend showing up as close to opening as possible. Now onto the review... Drinks: I started with "Give Me the Beet" cocktail which, contrary to the name, had a more tropical/refreshing flavour. If you are afraid to order it because you are not a beet person...don't worry! You get the vibrant beet color but none of that earthy beet taste. I followed that up with a glass of their Amarone which (not to be repetivite was WOW)...I'll touch more on how I landed on this wine when discussing service. Food: I don't think you can make a wrong choice with food which was confirmed to me by the two other solo diners I had the pleasure of making my acquantince with at the bar. Personally I started with the Red Snapper Crudo (light a refreshing but with a nice kick from the calabrian chilies), followed that up with the truly amazing Spaghettini Vongole (pictured), and ended my meal with the Olive Oil Cake (not super sweet and well complimented with by the marscopone and candided oranged...also pictured). My fellow solo diners would be remiss if I did not mention that the Wood Roasted Vine Tomatoes and Burrata and the Taglioni (both of them) were also phenomenal (no pictures because I am not creeping on someone elses meal!) Service: I snagged a seat at the bar and had some of the best bar service I have had in a long time. I feel that bar seating can sometimes be lacking in the service department as the bartenders have a lot to do...this was not the case at Red Ash. While the bartenders were extremely busy, they still took the time to check in on their diners and provide keen and clear service. My bartender was Christina and she gave the explemary service that you would expect for a place at this price point. She gave me really great food reccomendations and then I threw the "I think I want wine" curveball at her she provided food based reccomendations with amazing notes and suggestions. The Amarone that I mentioned in drinks would not have happened without her and damn does it pair perfectly with the Olive Oil Cake. Additionally I want to mention that while I do not have any allergies, a number of the patrons around me did and Christina provided direct substitutions to accomadate them without severly limiting the menu. I was really impressed how she navigated different dietary restrictions while maintianing the integrity of the menu. I genuinely cannot sing her praises enough!! Ambiance: The ambiance was lovely if not a bit crowded but, at least at the bar, this crowding was actually a really great opportunity for connection and conversation. As noted, I was a solo diner sat at the bar around other solo diners, the close quarters paired with visually pleasing food naturally led to converstation that only elevated my dining experience. Overall I highly reccomend Red Ash but would reccomend that you make a reservation in advance!

I absolutely love the vibe of this place--it's definitely a high-end Mediterranean restaurant, perfect for special occasions. What really stood out was how beautifully everyone was dressed; it added to the upscale, elegant atmosphere of the entire space. The restaurant offers both indoor seating and a beautiful outdoor seating area, which really elevates the overall experience. The outdoor space, in particular, adds to the charm and makes it a great spot for a relaxed yet upscale evening. Since reservations weren't available, we decided to arrive early, expecting a long wait. Luckily, being a Sunday evening, it wasn't too crowded, and we were seated within about 20 minutes. For drinks, I ordered a Tender Robot Hazy IPA, while my husband went with the Verdant Mai Tai. I was a bit disappointed to learn they only serve canned beer and don't offer draft options, as I personally prefer draft beer and am not a big fan of cocktails, which tend to be too sweet for my taste. For the main course, I had the Heirloom Chicken Thighs, and my husband ordered the Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes. Both dishes were cooked to perfection--flavorful, well-seasoned, and the meat was incredibly tender. That said, the portion sizes felt a bit small considering the price point. We ended the meal with the Sticky Date Cake, and it was hands down the best I've ever had--rich, perfectly balanced, and absolutely delicious. Overall, we had a great experience. Between the beautiful ambiance, flavorful food, and exceptional service, it's a place I'd definitely return to. I'm giving it 4 stars mainly because of the lack of draft beer and the smaller portion sizes for the price, but it's still a fantastic spot worth visiting.

Mind blown.     People, the right people, qualified, talented, A players only will make or break a business. It doesn't matter if it's code or plates of wagyu, the wrong person is never worth it. Our care taker flawlessly explained every little detail of every single component of each dish and pairing. Even though I might've missed the mark for my orders, I don't really see myself coming back unless I'm particularly curious about something. The Wagyu Tartare was decent. For beef tartare, I look sweet, juicy bites with a crunchy texture and a signature finish. Hestia mostly delivered in that aspect, but it was missing that signature finish like some acidity or a standout ingredient. I actually recommend the Napa Cabbage. It looks like a timidly sized plate, but the surface area gave me a satisfactory amount of bites. I also enjoyed the sharpness from the sauce and fermentation. However wasn't happy with the entrée and dessert. The red ranger chicken was quite small, bland, and priced at $48. I didn't taste the chilli in the honey, and the honey itself was incredibly mild. The sourdough ice cream was exactly as the name implied. The quality of the ice cream itself was okay, but the flavor definitely leaned on the unique side. I got it because it was different, so I'm not particularly upset with the dessert. All in all, like the many other places that I've been to in Austin, the platings definitely outshined the flavours. And these price points don't make a compelling argument to comeback.
