There's no shortage of bars on this strip, but Hanghart is worth seeking out. The food really sets it apart, which is both comforting and contemporary, spanning from smash burgers to spicy Serrano hummus with fresh veggies. If you're in the mood for chips and guacamole, theirs is absolutely excellent, with huge chunks of avocado and well-seasoned, crispy chips. There's a generous number of vegan and healthy-ish options, given the usual bar fare, making it a great place for the whole gang. Given the quality, pricing is highly reasonable, too. The couch that lines the wall is a cozy place to chill, sort of like an open air lounge that could be the perfect short pit stop or resting place for the next two hours. No one's going to rush you out. No, there's no parking. Do you really have to ask? Leave your car at home and get an extra cocktail because you can.

Delicious quality drinks at absolutely insane happy hour prices. $6 beers, $8 cocktails, $10 frozens until 7 pm. And $8-10 snacks. This is the spot to go for an early evening drink downtown before whatever shenanigans come next.

This was an unexpected gem! We stumbled upon it looking for a happy hour. They have been open for about 6 months, but they definitely know what they are doing. The owners are very passionate and so nice. The place is so festive and all decked out for Christmas! There are a lot of seating options with a great playlist that is not too loud so you can still talk. The happy hour menu is amazing! It is such a great value. The Smashburger is one of the best I've had. I usually only like my burgers plain and dry, but everything on this burger compliments each other so I have no notes! It just so good! The Mac and cheese was recently changed to goat cheese and it is delicious. The goat cheese comes through so we'll. The loaded fries have also recently changed and are more of a poutine style with a fried egg on top. It is so filling and worth every bite! This is definitely our new happy hour spot when we are downtown!

NAked wings. My favorite way to eat them when theyre already good as is.

I stopped into Hanghart on a Wednesday and--let me tell you--Wednesday is now officially my favorite night of the week. Why? Because their chicken wings are one dollar each. I ordered a glass of wine, a plate of the loaded fries, and a pile of wings. Every single wing was perfectly crisp, flavorful, and honestly addictive. I kept telling myself "just one more," and then ended up ordering another six to take across the street to a friend working at Rain. (Sharing is caring, right?) But before I go on about the wings, let's talk about those loaded fries. These aren't your typical fries drowning in canned chili. Nope--these come topped with chives, bacon, and a mix of seasonings that taste like someone actually cared about making bar food delicious. They're everything you want from a happy hour snack: savory, hot, and just the right amount of indulgent. The place itself is clean and stylish without trying too hard. It's perfect for a date night, but you don't have to dress up if you don't want to--though you absolutely could and still fit right in. The prices are fair, the staff is friendly, and the vibe is laid-back Austin at its best. So yeah, I think it's safe to say I've found my Wednesday ritual. See you there next week.

The food is incredible, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff truly make this place special. Huge shoutout to amazing team members Ariel and Emily for being so warm and kind. The chef even made our pup Zoloft a pup cup today, which was such a sweet gesture. The lovely woman who helped us during our last visit also gave Zoloft a pup cup, so they've consistently shown kindness to our little family. They even gave complimentary vegan cookies to guests when we arrived (not sure if it was a special promotion, but such a thoughtful touch!). And the ice cream... WOW. Made with lentils, and honestly some of the best ice cream we've ever had--rich, creamy, and unforgettable. Friendly staff, delicious food, thoughtful service, and creative plant-based treats. Mission Burger is a gem in Austin, and we'll absolutely be back again whenever we return to Austin

There is some picnic bench seating if you care to eat there, but each order is ready to take home You can also find a menu and other information posted on the outside. The menu mostly offers burgers, but there are a couple other offerings like a cheesesteak, partner, etc. The staff were very friendly and precessional. I really appreciated that they double checked everything in our to-go bags against what we ordered just to make sure we had everything. Everything was bagged, and the orders had the individual order and special order requests written on top Everything tasted great. The burgers were classic burgers, slightly messy, but very flavorful. The fries weren't quite as crisp as I like, but they were seasoned well and tasty Some tips: Consider ordering online so you can have your meal ready when you arrive The burgers/entrees don't come with fries, so, consider ordering a couple fries to share. One order of fries is more than enough for 2 people to share. To do this just make your meal a combo on the ones you want to have fries. Combos also come with a drink, but it's not a fountain drink it's in cans which they also bag for you Cheers!!

The few negative reviews mentioned bland burgers, but the positive ones say these are the best burgers in town. I thought I couldn't be unlucky enough to be in the minority and receive bland burgers, but, boy, was I wrong! NO SEASONING IN THE PATTIES!! Not even salt? If they had just seasoned the patties like they seasoned their fries, my experience would be completely different. An easy 5 stars. But nope. A solid 2, only because of everything other than the patties. We came at around 8pm on a Saturday night and were the only customers, so maybe that should've been a sign. Also the lot felt kinda sketchy in the dark. Idk if I would have wanted to be there alone at night. Food was also ready in 10 minutes, like the guy told us. FRIES: Thick cut, well-seasoned, good. Looked like a steak seasoning on the fries. I liked it, but since they were thick, the center of the fries were bland, unfortunately. Maybe it would've been less noticeable if we ate them right away. Large serving though. My bf and I only got one combo and couldn't finish the fries with each of our burgers. The burgers are big, at 4 inches wide. THOUSAND ISLAND BURGER: I liked it at first because of the thousand island, but for the bites that didn't have it, I noticed that the patty didn't taste seasoned...like at all. I was shocked at how bland it was without the dressing. MUSHROOM BURGER: The mushrooms had no flavor, probably weren't seasoned at all. The burger, overall, was also very bland. Unseasoned patty here too. The ingredients felt fresh, but it was missing the flavor we were expecting. Really disappointing. They gave ketchup packets in the bag, but we didn't remember they were in there before finishing our burgers. It probably would've really helped, but the burgers shouldn't have needed it to be good.

When I went to order, he asked how many for the party, which I tried to respond with "it's going to be separate because we want to place a to-go order" I barely got any words out when he interrupted me and repeated his question with an attitude. I said the same thing but this time he let me finish and began taking my order. While he took my order he was also a little rude, interrupting me a couple times. After my friends placed their orders, they also came to me commenting on his rudeness. Aside from this experience, the food was great and the rest of the staff was great too. The space is great and offers lots of seating if you choose to dine in. I would come back in the future but just hope something gets done to improve customer service.
