I don't know why reviews for this place aren't better because I had an amazing experience! from the outdoor seating (feels like Europe?) to the service to the food everything was amazing. I got a mocktail that honestly tasted like a cocktail with a nice bitter touch and our group got fresh and fried spring rolls, salad, and then a few bahn mi's and I got a rice noodle salad bowl with pork which was incredible. We all loved it and had a great time!
I loved everything about this restaurant!! The food was delicious and the service was great. And the ambiance is so cute. It's super busy so I suggest making a reservation. We ended up sitting at the counter but it wasn't too bad. Definitely order different things to share and try. The only downside is we thought the dan dan noodles would be more saucey rather than soupy.
Although it was busy, we were seated quickly. The stools we were placed at were uncomfortable and wobbly. Food came out quickly and tasted fine. It's pretty overpriced compared to going to the actual authentic Vietnamese restaurants in the area with larger portions and more flavor. The aesthetic here was nice though and very picturesque.
Great food! Great scenery! Great service! Not only was Emma (our server) amazing, but multiple servers would come to our table to make sure we were good. Everyone enjoyed their food.
WOW!! This place was PERFECT!! I was a bit hesitant at first with the bakery-Vietnamese fusion but guys: this place is AWESOME!! The Singapore noodles were to die for and the chicken vermicelli bowl was generous and delicious! My little brother loved the nutella banana hazelnut crepe and we all enjoyed the summer rolls (shrimp and pork was our favorites)! We came at around 1 PM, and they were slammed with customers ( now I see why) and was a 20 minute wait time. As visitors to Austin, we took this opportunity to walk around the business area and it was lovely! If it's nice, make sure to sit outside because it's lovely!! Staff were super friendly and food was incredible! Please please please check this place out because it will blow your mind!
1) 2 stars for ambiance. This café is so cute. It says it's right on the corner with the patio and then an inside, intimate seating area. During the day, it's really lively and at night it's very quaint and sweet, perfect for a date 2) food is 1 star. The spring rolls were mostly rice, the pork was extremely chewy and overcooked. The salad that I got was also very underwhelming, although the dressings were really good. Probably due to location, but I would say this place is overpriced / overrated. Brunch has some great options but again hit or messed with the protein, being overcooked or the portions being really small. 3) I would rate the service 1 star. We waited at least 15 minutes for water. And the server walked by at least three times without seeing if I needed anything. While they might be understaffed, this really took away from the experience.
Everything was tasty, delicious & cooked to perfection. Our waitress was friendly & accommodating to our party of 6. Indoor and outdoor seating available. We were able to secure a reservation, a plus since it was getting busy once we were seated. Highly recommend if you're in Austin.

Tasty! We came here late on a Thursday evening and absolutely had a ball. We tried the pho and beef báhn mi. Both were equally tasty. We came at closing time but didn't feel rushed or pressured. Great service and great vibes. 10/10 Bánh Mis
Didn't love the service here and thought the food was over priced and mostly over-rated. I did love the decor! The red curry Dan Dan noodles were spicy and hot, perfect for rainy day meal, but the chicken was grizzly and not so yummy. My partners shrimp banh mi was ok but not wowed. This was our most lack luster meal in Austin tbh

It gets a little loud but for the most part, it was OK. Outside looked really nice as well, especially this time of year (November). Everyone seemed happy with their dishes. They came out promptly and warm. I had the Singapore noodles, which were really good (a little spicy but in a good way). We also shared benigets and they came out warm-- such a treat! Some of us were lucky enough to get street parking right outside. Parking is a little bit tough but it's Austin so it's normal. I would come here again for sure!

I love Elizabeth St Cafe! I always recommend it to people because it's a solid spot. I love a spring roll but I'm not a big shrimp person, so I find it hard to find ones with chicken, pork or beef. Every spring roll I've ordered at Elizabeth st has been so good but I think the spicy chicken crunch & bbq pork are my favorites. I love mixing all of the sauces. I crave them all the time. Additionally their Banh Mi's also come in a ton of protein options. The bread is fresh, and the sandwich is light and tasty. The staff is great, the last time I was in my server Cayman was very nice. The restaurant is super cute and has a great patio for cooler days. Every time I go I want to try something new but also just want to order my favorites! read more
I'm so happy because guess what, my server's name was Claire!!! I love meeting anyone named Claire in the wild hehe !!!!! (Service) Food: YUM!!! I've had banh mi here before and it was soooooo yummy. This time I had the brioche French toast and OMG WHAT?! That is amazing! Gimme a million slices of it!!!!! With the ube ice cream and brown sugar syrup, wow insanely good!!! Way better experience this time around. We got seats at the bar for an impromptu lunch date. The fried chicken bahn mi is what dreams are made of. Mine was the steak one, but my very nice boyfriend let me have half of his. I had the hibiscus paloma with mezcal and it was delicious. Crazy busy. We were lucky to snag a table outdoors. The food here is very good but packs a kick. My Singapore noodles set my soul on fire. The appetizers were spectacular. Who knew that a yam shrimp fritter could win the table? You've got to try it. read more
I went to Vietnam a few years ago and LOVED the noodle dishes there. This is the first restaurant I've tried that is as good as the restaurants in Vietnam! Everything was incredible, especially the noodles and beef dish!! read more

This was one of my best meals when o visited Austin! Everything on the menu is delicious and they were very accommodating to allergies! We got spring rolls and bahn mi and the steak bahn mi is the best one I've had! It was so delicious! If you are in Austin you need to go check it out! read more
The infamous shrimp rolls were delicious. The cucumber and mango salad was actually very refreshing, light and a hefty serving. Service was not to my liking, I wasn't greeted or brought water until 15 min of me waiting around for a menu when I was seated and service throughout was lackluster. It's best to uber here or find street parking if possible as there's only 2-3 spots available in front of the restaurant. This place is still worth a try despite the service and a good mix off cuisine in Austin. read more

Beautiful indoor decor and super cute outdoor seating as well - dog friendly! We came for happy hour i think from 3 - 5 pm for half off appetizers and $3 off specialty cocktails! We tried the fried spring rolls (amazing) And the chili oil dumplings also incredible My husband got the pork banh mi and loved it - very great flavor. I got the fried chicken bun - pretty good but as impressive as the rest of the food - will probably try something else next time. I got the melon vodka drink - super refreshing. We also got the beignets and loved them! So good!! Service was great, food came out timely and water was refilled often. read more
A really cute little restaurant! We ordered the spicy chicken crunch spring rolls, grilled pork banh mi, and tofu & mushroom banh mi. The spring rolls were really good, and the bread for the banh mi was amazing - they bake it fresh in house. Would recommend making a reservation as they get pretty busy! read more
Only come here if you have no other options for food and are in desperate need of sustenance. Tried the banh mi, summer rolls, and Singaporean noodles. Everything was disappointing, except for the free dessert that was comped because the kitchen brought out clumpy Singaporean noodles that tasted stale...twice because the second order was just as terrible. The server also overfilled a water and let it spill all over the table and drip onto the chair where I put my phone and purse. But she didn't even notice and I had to ask for napkins to dry my phone lol. The one plus is that I really liked the outdoor seating and the views. read more

Loved the vibe at Elizabeth Street Cafe! Bright, cozy, and great for a relaxed lunch. The shrimp spring rolls were super fresh with tasty dipping sauces, the dumplings were silky with a nice chili kick, and the banh mi had a crisp baguette and bright pickled veggies. Our server, Kai was kind and attentive without hovering, which made the meal feel easy and welcoming. Overall, it felt a bit pricey but worth it for the quality and service. This charming place had an amazing fusion of Vietnamese and French cuisines! It's pretty packed on the weekend, so arrive early if you can. I got the Red Curry Dan Dan Noodles with spice brined chicken and baby bok choy. The spicy, creamy broth was rich and clung to the noodles well. The addition of raw Thai basil, sprouts, and carrots made it super refreshing. I loved the fried garlic on top to give it extra crunch and flavor. So delicious, still thinking about it now! It came in a huge bowl that's shareable for 2. On the brunch menu, it is under the Specialties section. We were seated outside, which worked out well as the weather was great and it was loud inside. The outdoor patio had vibrant, colorful furniture and decor. The servers were very friendly and checked on us often. There are limited spots in the parking lot, but street parking is free and just a short walk. Definitely gave cozy and welcoming vibes! read more
Super cute and charming space featuring French Vietnamese cuisine. I ordered the chicken pho and it warmed me up from head to toe! The chicken was tender and scrumptious. What really stood out was the grilled chicken lemongrass skewers. I have never had that before when I ordered chicken pho. The broth was authentic with not too much msg like some other places. The meal was substantial. The mini size condiment bottles were super cute too! Service was good. They do get very busy so reservations recommended. The inside is a house converted into a restaurant, and there is a cute outdoor space with heater lamps. All in all a very happy experience! read more

It was our first visit, but it definitely won't be our last! We tried several starters and a couple of entrées, and everything was fantastic. The Pork Belly Steamed Buns and Steamed Rice Rolls were outstanding. We also had the Fried Spring Rolls and Ginger Chili Oil Dumplings--both excellent choices. For entrées, we ordered the Drunken Beef Noodles and Ribeye Fried Rice, which were packed with flavor. Dessert was the perfect ending: Ube Vanilla Ice Cream and a couple of macarons. The ice cream and coconut macaron were especially incredible! Abigail was our server, and she truly guided our entire experience with great recommendations and warm, attentive service. The manager even stopped by to say hello, and the entire team was so friendly and welcoming. We had an awesome first visit. Pho is the ultimate comfort food, this place did not disappoint. I can't speak on if it is the most authentic, but the broth was light but still flavorful. We got the beef combo; I do wish they gave a few extra pieces of the sliced eye of round beef but there was still plenty meat in the broth itself. The crispy chicken spring rolls we got made me feel good about getting my veggies in. But I think what really made them a winner were the sauces that came with it. I loved the vibe of the restraunt - they had an option for indoor and outdoor seating and the staff was so friendly. read more

Do you use msg in your soup?
To my knowledge no. Everything is homemade. I am allergic to MSG and I had no problems with the soup. It was absolutely delicious and didn’t taste salty
Do I need a reservation?
Not technically, but it'll be nice for busier times or large parties
When is happy hour and what's offered?
Happy Hour is from 4pm-6pm; $2 off the drink menu (wine/cocktails) and half price on the appetizers.
