Walked in around 3 pm on a Sunday and they were still really busy. We waited for about 20 minutes to get a table and got seated outside. It was a hot day but there is some shade so it wasn't too bad. Ordered one of the specials of the day, sausage roll, and also the chicken harissa and burger. Sausage roll came out first and we were disappointed that it only came with three pieces! For $9, we thought it wasn't worth it. It tasted good though and I learned it's actually an Australian appetizer. Chicken harissa was great! My husband ordered this and it looked like it was packed with all the healthy stuff haha. But as someone who loves junk food, he also appreciated this. His only complaint was that he thinks bowls should include rice. I got the burger and it was yum! However, I cannot distinguish the burger among other popular fast food chains. To me, a burger is just a burger. The fries are good and thinner than what I'm used to. It makes me feel like I have an endless supply! The service was really slow. We didn't get our entrees until maybe 20 minutes after we finished eating the sausage rolls. Also, a different person would check on us each time. Some staff didn't seem friendly. The person who led us to our table didn't speak or smile. They only have two gender-neutral stalls, so a line might form out there... I love that they are on inKind! The jam and butter with the toast were a good sweet compared to all the other salty items. I will say the menu is pretty pricey but the ambiance and elevated food presentation I think are worth it. Brunch around noon usually means committing to a long wait, so when we got quoted an hour wait I prepared myself. However, we were seated in about 20 minutes, which already set the tone for a good experience. Austin feels like my second home and I am on South Congress all the time. I always see Two Hands and hear people rave about their coffee, but never thought much about their food. On our last day we finally tried it. We checked in, waited about 35 to 40 minutes, walked around Congress, and got the text when our table was ready. The food was great, but the lemon poppy seed waffle was on another level. It tasted just like the lemon cake my mom used to make when I was younger and the mascarpone on top made it even better. It was warm, soft, sweet in the perfect way, and honestly the kind of bite that makes you stop talking mid-sentence. If you go, you need to order it.
