The food was excellent. Both the steak and shrimp were cooked perfectly. We started with the Sake Mac and Cheese, then had the Surf and Turf and the Shrimp Symphony, and everything was delicious. The owner even opened a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc so I could enjoy a glass which I really appreciated because it's not offered by the glass. I did try to make a reservation online but ended up calling instead. Once again, I wish I'd taken a picture of what I ordered, ...but when it's really good, I have a tendency to forget. This food was REALLY good. I ordered the Cajun surf and turf (shrimp) on a bed of garlic noodles. Everything was cooked perfectly. The steak was crazy tender and well seasoned, the shrimp had a nice pop, and I could have JUST had a plate of noodles; they were that good. The Cajun sauce complemented everything well. Even the smattering of green beans, which were probably there to add color, were outstanding. The restaurant itself was comfortable ...which is a compliment. The parking was easy. The service was outstanding. The prices were ...lower than they should have been given how delicious the food was. I will definitely recommend CK Kitchen and Bar to my friends. So this place just opened up right across where I live it used to be a Mexican restaurant and now it's an Asian one. I have been wanting to try out since I do love Asian food. When you walk in the houses is really nice and CT right away and we did go during lunch, but they also offered the dinner menu during lunch. I got a glazed pork with fried rice and it came with some pickled cucumbers, which were so good. It's a good portion and very savory. I also got the soup. Pork dumplings since it's something I really enjoy and I have to say they were delicious. My friend got the chicken Alfredo and I was amazed at how good that sauce was. It was a little different but delicious. I will definitely go back and order this next time. We also got the spring rolls which were OK to me. I'm more of an eggroll fan, but they were not bad. They have a good selection of food to try. I will definitely be going back to try more stuff because it all looked really yummy. They do have a semi full bar and some wines and rosé. I would say for them to step it up a little bit more on the wine because they had too much bubbles versus still wine. read more

What a great find! Was searching somewhere in this area and CK Kitchen popped up. Got there shortly after opening on a Saturday afternoon and were the only guests for a few. The location is nicely decorated with clear bar and dining sections. Restrooms are unisex with two rooms. There is outdoor seating as well and when it's warmer would be perfect. The staff were so friendly and funny. They were aware of the Sun setting and adjusted the blinds to make sure we weren't having the sun in our eyes. Great service! The food was amazing, got the Goyza, spring rolls and blacked shrimp with noodles. Everything had amazing flavors and the garlic noodles with the main dish were the star of the night. We are here after arriving at our hotel. It is a hidden gem off Riverside drive. The food is very flavorful and plentiful. I tasted the lichees cocktail it was one of the best I had. This is a rare and interesting Southern Asian fusion spot. I found it upon searching on Google, they should advertise more! I thought the dishes were creative. We got the soup dumplings for appetizer. The soup was flavorful, but the meat can be a bit gamey with a slight strange aftertaste. Therefore, I asked for chili paste on the side which took care of that as it paired better with the soup dumplings and masked the strong meat taste. I enjoyed the Cajun surf and turf, esp the garlic pasta. However, meat came out medium instead of medium rare. The house fried rice was way too salty for me but my husband enjoyed it. I just have a low salt tolerance overall so may be a me problem. The owner is the sweetest man!! Our waitress was also so sweet and attentive. Excellent service. This place quickly became one of my new favorite Asian fusion spots in town. From the first bite, everything just tasted like home. The Cajun Surf & Turf (with soft noodles) is a must-order. The steak and shrimp are grilled perfectly and coated in a rich, creamy sauce that's full of flavor WITHOUT being overwhelming. It has the right amount of flavor that keeps begging you to have more. I also loved the Jade & Purple. The vegetables and eggplant are cooked with the perfect amount of umami. It's flavorful in such a simple, comforting way like how my late dad used to cook his eggplants. Such a good eat! Me and my partner tried a little of everything. The menu is a little selective but had really good options and made it not so overwhelming when ordering. I've had the pleasure of knowing Benny for a while now and was excited to try out his new restaurant. I always enjoyed Maiko, but never loved it, but was very impressed by CK Kitchen. We had a group of friends and we ordered quite a few items for sharing. Korean Style BBQ Pork - One of my favorite dishes, really nice char with the korean sweet/salty/umami flavors. Came on top of a seaweed salad which was a nice refreshing contrast to the pork. Yakitori Skewers - Also a great dish, with an excellent char flavor. The beef was nice and tender as well. Cajun Cream Surf and Turf - Pretty decent overall, I'm not generally a big fan of the surf and turf combo, but the portions were generous here. Shrimp Scampi - This was my least favorite dish. It was still solid, but the flavors were a little more simple compared to the other dishes. Some salt, pepper, cajun spice. Lobster Mac and Cheese - This was a menu special, and it was really quite delicious, creamy and rich. Stopped in our way from Austin airport to San Antonio. The food was DELICIOUS! We ordered the Dim Sum Trio... do yummy!! We were visiting from Chicago, and always like to try out something different from back home. Best decision we made, was eating at CK Kitchen. The food, ambiance, and service were outstanding. Great food with affordable prices. Our waitress was very attentive, and sociable. We told her how much we loved the place, but that they could improve on the signage outside (the current sign isn't too visible, and it's easy to drive right past the place). She agreed, and went to get the owner. We spoke with the owner, and he related that the restaurant has only been open about 3 months, and that they were already in the process of getting a better sign. We told them we'll definitely be back, and hopefully the place is so crowded that reservations are needed! To my delight this quaint yummy "Kitchen" was just a mile away from the Airport hotel. FRESH ingredients prepared when ordered. Wonderful menu with a fantastic selection of dishes. My order was the Golden Crisp Fish with Thai Sweet Chili Glaze which is Lightly fried and glazed in a tangy Thai sweet chili sauce. The Fish was deliciously prepared and a very light, scratch made Thai chili sauce was used for dipping! I chose the Garlicky Soft Noodles as my side, added some extra garlic sauce prepared in a moment by CK and all Fresh right out of the Kitchen.
