Food was good, not great. A little pricey for the amount you get. I hadn't been in years, but we were given a gift card at Christmas so thought we'd try it again. Our waiter was great! We were a party of 12, it was a Saturday night so it was busy. Our waiter hustled. Not sure if they were short on bartenders, but the drink service was bad! Took forever, even in the not crowded bar we visited after dinner for a night cap! I think I'd be willing to try it again. The side salad I got with my chicken sandwich was pretty basic. Literally chopped iceberg lettuce. Hubby said his steak and baked potato are better at home and half the price!

The food has always been good. The service is a little hit or miss. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We usually go in between lunch and dinner to miss the crowd.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We do like to eat in the bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The environment is low key and with the TVs, we can watch the different sports games that might be playing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Extremely underwhelming for $38.

This is a solid 3 star. It has the feel of a Texas restaurant type of place and the look of it. The service was amazing. Connor did a great job serving our table. That's as far as this place goes. I guess since it's a restaurant then it should be known for its food. So really, this place should be a 2 star. Portions were a good size (minus the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer. Don't get this if you're hungry.) But NONE of the food was that great. Felt like I was at a college campus eating dinner at their cafeteria. I don't know how else to describe it. Everything was so below mediocre. It was all edible... but it was so.....eh. Drinks were all sugary concoctions so I didn't even bother.

It's been awhile since my last review. My previous reviews were knocked for service. I was drawn back in for their Steak and Bake special. Get this: choice of soup or salad, ranch beans, rolls, small steak and a baked potato with fixings all for under $16!!! And on top of this, they give a military discount! And it's all day everyday! Food is fantastic and service has gotten much better.

Save yourself $39.99 and don't get the prime rib. It was as bland as a piece of white bread.

We headed in at an odd time yesterday around 230pm. It was late for lunch and too early for dinner. Nevertheless, we were seated in the front dining area, and ordered some entrees. The menu offers a lot of familiar favorites that you would expect to see at a a bar/ restaurant. Burgers, sandwiches, salads, and a few specialty plates. For my meal, I ordered The Local burger (no pickles of course) which was absolutely fantastic. Piled high with cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomatoes - this burger was executed to perfection. I ordered it medium, and it came out medium (imagine that). The best part was the sunny side egg that was placed on top. That first bite was heavenly. The yolk breaks, and all the goodness adds a little extra flavor to the already delicious burger. The shoe string fries were seasoned perfectly- I highly recommend this entree. The only thing I would add next time is an element of spice to take things up to another level. My wife ordered the BLTA sandwich , with sweet potato fries. I didn't try a bite because I had enough bacon on my burger , but I did sneak a sweet potato fry , and it was fantastic. My son order the chimichurri steak , he seemed to enjoy it although it may have had too much sauce on it for his liking. Perhaps it would been better if he ordered the sauce on the side. My picky daughter ordered the pesto chicken sandwich ,and she said it was pretty good. My family and I were full , but weren't going to let the dessert options pass us by. My family has a sweet tooth. We all shared the chocolate cake and bread pudding . Both are nice options if you need something sweet to top off your meal. The food and vibe of this place deserves 5 stars. I will deduct one star for the mediocre service and inconsistent food prep. Our meals were coming out one by one which made it awkward when trying to eat together. Our server didn't offer refills on our drinks , and didn't bring us utensils -until we asked for them. I will be back to try more menu items , and enjoy a cold beer while watching the game.

The shrimp scampi was well-seasoned and flavorful, paired with risotto that was slightly undercooked but not enough to take away from the dish overall. The chimichurri steak, on the other hand, was cooked perfectly and seasoned beautifully--the chimichurri sauce was definitely the highlight. Our server, Jen, was also acting as host and bartender, and she handled it all impressively as the restaurant started to fill up. Even while understaffed, she kept everything running smoothly until additional staff arrived. Overall, it was a great experience

The Annex checked every single box. First, let's talk about Sammie. If every restaurant had a Sammie, Yelp would probably have fewer 3-star reviews. She welcomed us like we were regulars, knew the menu inside and out, and steered us toward the Tagliatelle with the confidence of someone who knew we'd be thanking her later. She wasn't pushy, rehearsed, or robotic, just genuinely excited about the food. Those kinds of servers are rare. Honestly, Sammie is the fifth star on this review. Now the food. The Tagliatelle absolutely lived up to the hype. Rich without being heavy, flavorful without trying too hard, and balanced in a way that's surprisingly hard to pull off. Every ingredient had a purpose. After one bite, we completely understood why Sammie recommended it. The hanger steak was cooked perfectly. Great crust, tender inside, packed with flavor... and somehow the potatoes nearly stole the show. I know, they're potatoes. But whatever magic happened in that kitchen deserves some recognition because they were ridiculously crispy, perfectly seasoned, and impossible to stop eating. The burrata with stone fruit was another standout. Creamy burrata, sweet fruit, salty prosciutto, fresh mint, and toasted bread all came together into one of those bites that makes everyone at the table suddenly stop talking for a second. And then there was the mixed mushroom pizza. Some of the best mushrooms I've had outside of a music festival... kidding. Mostly. Seriously though, the mushrooms were incredible, and the pizza had that perfect balance of earthy, cheesy, crispy, and chewy that keeps you reaching for "just one more slice" until the plate is mysteriously empty. By the end of dinner we were completely full... and I was still looking at the menu trying to justify ordering something else. That's usually the biggest compliment I can give a restaurant. We'll absolutely be back. For the food, for the atmosphere, and hopefully for another table in Sammie's section. Whoever hired her made a great decision. Whoever decides raises should probably have a conversation with her too.

Anyways, with regards to the food, my partner and I got some spicy baked mussels to share, with a ribeye steak and lamb chops for entrees. The mussels were pretty underwhelming - I felt that it was just spicy for the sake of being spicy and didn't offer much in terms of flavor. With the entrees, we asked for the lamb chops to be cooked medium but they came rare, whereas the steak did come in medium rare as ordered. The lamb chops were okay but the steak was extremely salty and a bit too charred; I had to wash down my bites with water. With both entrees we were given a choice of either rice pilaf or garlic baked potatoes. The rice pilaf legit tasted like elementary school lunch rice (the ones with the teriyaki meat patties if you recall the 2000s, iykyk). The potatoes were alright, not bad but not great. Also wanted to note that both dishes came with like 2-3 tiny cherry tomatoes which is barely anything and would last you at most a couple of bites. Last thing I wanted to note is pricing. The lamb chops were in the upper $30s and the steak was $59, which pretty overpriced imo for whay is presented. Of course, that's also on me for trying to go for a "16 oz" steak (which I kinda doubt it was) vs. their pastas or other popular dishes but I think it's worth pointing out. All in all, I really think you can get much better bang for your buck at other semi-fancy/fancy places such as LimeLite or Willow Osteria to name a couple of examples. I would give this a 1 but the service was admittedly quite solid. Sadly, I don't think we'll come back.

I rate restaurants on a 5-point scale based on food quality, service, cleanliness, and price/value/variety (1 point each), plus wait time/pacing and atmosphere/ambiance (0.5 point each). Based on that scale, I would give Texas de Brazil a 4.7 out of 5. Every time we visit, the restaurant is spotless. Cleanliness is clearly a priority, from the dining area to the salad bar, which is always fresh, flavorful, well-stocked, and beautifully maintained. Even though it is self-service, staff are constantly checking the area, keeping it clean, and making sure dishes are replenished. The service is excellent. The servers are attentive from the moment you arrive. They offer drinks quickly, explain the menu, and remain consistently present without being intrusive. Your plate never stays empty for long, and you never feel like you have to chase someone down for service. The meats are absolutely delicious, beautifully cooked, flavorful, and plentifu, and I mean plen-ti-ful. Since Texas de Brazil is all-you-can-eat, you really do get your money's worth. It is on the pricier side, which is why I would take 0.3 off for price/value/variety, but the quality of the food, the service, and the amount you can enjoy still make it worth it. I've seen some reviews mention feeling rushed, especially during busy times or holidays. My recommendation is simple: use the red/green card system to your advantage. If you turn your card to red, they stop bringing meat to your table. When you're ready for more, turn it back to green. That makes the experience much more enjoyable and lets you eat at your own pace. Another plus is that they often have online promotions where you can buy multiple dinners at a significant discount, usually valid Monday through Thursday. Even when using those deals, the quality and service remain just as good. The only item I personally found a bit too salty was the Parmesan chicken, so I'd skip that one or try it with caution. As for dessert, they've all been wonderful so far, but the carrot cake is currently my favorite. Overall, Texas de Brazil is absolutely worth it if you enjoy great service, quality food, and a dining experience that feels like a treat every time.

I went during peak hours on a busy day, and seeing the place packed actually made me feel a bit more secure. I figured with that many customers, the kitchen and salad bar would naturally stay fresher since the food is constantly being cycled out. While I still think any establishment should keep things up to par regardless of how slow it is, the difference in freshness this time was really noticeable compared to my first visit when it was dead. The service was great, which is a big win for me because even in my last review, I mentioned the service was the one thing they got right. I'm really glad to see that's still super consistent here. As for the food, they had a lot of "trendy" meats that I've been hearing about. I think it's a cut that's been all over TikTok the Picanha cut? I might be wrong on the name, but I'd heard people talking about it and it was super good and very tender. The biggest improvement, though, was the consistency. I prefer my beef medium-rare, and last time I was here, almost everything they brought out was well-done. This time, every piece that made its way to my table was cooked exactly how I like it. I'm glad I was actually able to enjoy the meal this time!
