Typical hotel restaurant. Plenty of TVs to watch. The burnt ends appetizer was good. The crab cake hush puppies left a lot to be desired (tasted like hush puppies with Avery little blue crab chunks or flavor) My colleague got the wagyu burger and he said it was good. I had a wedge salad and it was good, although they didn't have blue cheese dressing!! Ranch with blue cheese crumbles. Ryan did a great job of taking care of us. Restaurant was loud, but that is the vibe they were going for. Lots of TVs with sports on all of them.
Located conveniently near the convention center and walkable from those nearby hotels. Food - The food was ok, but not memorable. Wagyu Cheeseburger: 3/5. Decent amount of fries, but the burger was not really flavorful. I could have used more seasoning on the patties or more secret sauce. Peanut Butter Pretzel Pie: 4/5. My only concern was that the pretzels were soggy. I would still order it again! If you love peanut butter, you'll love this pie. Service - Server was nice, but seemed to be a little distracted by people he knew that were dining there. It's a little slow, so I don't recommend this place if you're in a hurry.
We stopped by after the Indians game for a drink and a bite to eat while traffic died down. The service was great! The spicy guac was really tasty and fresh, but not at all spicy in my opinion. The burnt ends had a great sauce on them but were pretty dry. The signature old fashioned was great. And then the espresso martini really lacked. I knew it was going to be bad when it didn't even have any beans on it. Would come back again to try a full meal and some different drinks
Server was so weird, she was very hot and she seemed disheveled. She was kind but concerning. You can't order dinner items at lunch apparently a different chef so he can't do dinner items. Salmon was good. But nothing to write home about.
Food was great! My frat brother and I had the smoked wings, lump crab hushpuppies, and fries. The wings were tossed in a dry rub so it was well seasoned, and they were whole wings too! So it was a good portion size. The hushpuppies were phenomenal with their aioli and I wish I had another plate! They were stuffed with more crab than expected. Lastly I had the Peach Cobbler cocktail - I was in heaven and this is perfect for the fall or upcoming summer. This will always be my go-to. The service was awesome too! Bonnie was knowledgeable of the restaurant's current hits with customers and she gave awesome recommendations. She was outgoing with other patrons and gave great service. The ambiance gives business casual or dressed up casual. As there was a sorority convention in town (specifically downtown) most customers were dressed nice. Dim light atmosphere with positive vibes for sure. Great for a date night or hanging with a group of friends for a night out!
I've stayed here at the Marriott several times but this was the first time I ate at Connor's kitchen. The Service and food were excellent! I dined during lunch service so I ordered off of the lunch menu. My server was Andrew and he was super attentive. I immediately ordered the lump crab hush puppies and they were delicious, I definitely recommend! I also ordered the wagyu Burger in my goodness, It was worth every calorie! I really like that they toast the bun and the cheese was cheesin!!! I look forward to trying other things off of the menu as well as the dinner menu.
We stopped in to Conner's while in Indianapolis for a multi day conference. It is very near the capital building and the convention center in the downtown area. What I really liked about it is there is a large and very comfortable covered patio in the front facing the street. This was great to gather upon, during the waning hours of the day with colleagues to review all the things that had taken place. Fantastic menu with handcrafted cocktails, and delicious shareable appetizers. I did review the menu but didn't have a regular meal at Conners. Everything looked well prepared on the other guest tables. It is not standard pub food, instead it is several notches up. All in all, I would say that this is a fantastic place to unwind at the end of the day with friends or coworkers.
My first visit here, for Sunday brunch. There were only a few diners here when we arrived. The Colts were playing in Berlin at 9:30 am, and we thought it would be a good opportunity to watch the game while enjoying brunch. We ordered a few brunch entrées to share. The lemon buttermilk pancakes were doughy and undercooked in the middle. The edges were good. My friend ordered eggs, potatoes, and bacon. My favorite was the roasted potatoes. They were nicely seasoned and perfectly roasted. Our server was rather indifferent and seemed to be annoyed. Not annoyed with us but just seemed to be annoyed in general. Maybe he was just having a bad morning, but the service was not what I had expected to experience. The restaurant is attractive and we were able to see several tvs easily so we could watch the Colts game. We stayed for the first half while we were eating brunch then left for another nearby bar to watch the second half.
My group of 6 visited on a Wednesday night. We had 6:30p reservations, but this large restaurant was fairly empty. Earlier in the day our team mate dialed to change our reservation from 5 people to 6 and was asked if we'd be paying with one check for the larger party. Odd. Visually the restaurant makes a nice first impression with its tall ceiling, bar, and lighting. Good thing I took in the initial scene because we were sat in a corner of the room and I stared at the wall for the remainder of the night. Most of our group ordered old fashioned cocktails and the Waygu cheeseburger with fries. Other than the burger standing tall, nothing stood out about either item. After eating hotel food for 3 days you'd think this burger would've been the star of the week. Our server was friendly and our food arrived quickly. However, nothing kept us there for another round of drinks and we took our dollars to other restaurant. While I'd return if this was someone's pick for lunch or dinner, I wouldn't make the effort on my own or recommend Conner's.
My family and I came here on a Saturday for brunch. We wish there more lunch options available on the menu. The food was pretty good, but I expected better just because of all the high Google reviews. We ordered the crab hush puppies which had a generous amount of crab in them and paired really well with the dipping sauce. My husband and dad got the wagyu burger which came with a generous amount of fries and you could add an egg or thick slice of bacon for extra cost. The shrimp and grits had a nice spicy flavor to them. The main item that was disappointing to me was the fish tacos. The fish was not seasoned well and was pretty flavorless with the other taco toppings. Service was friendly and efficient. Our waitress came over to check on us pretty regularly. Bathrooms were clean and all the booths were incredibly spacious. You can definitely come here with larger parties pretty comfortably. The food was a bit on the pricey side.
Best brisket hash by far!! Most restaurants that I've ordered hash from served diced potatoes and shredded brisket. But this brisket was a cut above! The brisket was sliced thick, smokey flavor and served with whole redskin potatoes that were so, so good. If you want a great brunch, add Connor's Kitchen to your list.
We stopped in during an IU game to meet up with some friends and grab a few burgers, and overall had a good experience. The place was busy (expected with the game going on!), and even with the crowd our server did a good job staying attentive. Service was a little slower, but totally understandable given how busy they were. The food was definitely the highlight -- everyone at our table ordered burgers and fries, and they were fantastic. They also accommodated us when a couple of us wanted to split a burger; they handled it without any issue. Drinks were just okay. nothing bad, but nothing standout either. I've definitely had better and worse elsewhere. The only downside was how tight the seating felt. The tables are very close together, and with the place full, it was hard to move around or even get in and out of your seat. They also don't allow standing room, so if you don't have a table, you're kind of out of luck. Still, solid food, good service, and a lively atmosphere -- especially if you're in the mood to enjoy a game with friends. We'd go back again!
So I wanted to try something new for Valentine's Day and came across this spot on yelp. I didn't know it was located in a hotel, nevertheless in a great location. It's one of those spots where it's literally in front of your face, but if you're not paying attention you would never know it was there. The food was good, plenty of seating and good customer service. If you're looking for something downtown to do for a date, family or solo this place will take care of you. read more
Came here for a belated Valentine's day brunch with my wife and it did not disappoint. The brunch menu was fantastic. First when it comes to drinks you really can't go wrong but I was feeling a bloody mary so I got the Bacon Bloody. Bacon washed vodka with the bloody mary mix and thick cut bacon as a garnish along with rosemary? YES PLEASE! My wife got an Irish Breakfast cocktail. All booze with a coffee ice ball to dilute if you want it to sit longer? I will definitely take that! (Pro tip...ask for just a touch of hot coffee to help melt the ice ball and dilute the booze in the drink immediately.) As far as food you really can't make a bad decision. I got the smoked pork hash and it was amazing. Hash browns. Smoked pork. Topped with an egg and chives and my wife got the lemon butter pancakes. I was able to try the pancakes and they were light and fluffy and perfect. They had a glaze that wasn't too sweet and wasn't too tart. Just perfect in every way...think of it as the Mary Poppins of pancakes! We were fortunate enough to get the free lump crab hushpuppies (come through Yelp check in offers!!) and they were also delicious. I usually need a sauce for hushpuppies because they are very dry but these were moist and wonderful and I could eat them all the time if I didn't care about being 5000 pounds. 10/10 would come here again. Please tell your friends. read more

I really wanted to love this restaurant, but I just can't get behind the price for the quality of what you receive. The decor was definitely more upscale, and I can understand that a hotel restaurant would be more expensive, but I did feel like there was a bit left to be desired. The fish tacos were relatively bland and I didn't find the elote corn to be very creamy or flavorful. The cubano was pretty good, but I'm not sure I can get behind the $18 price tag. I will say, I thought the pull pork nachos were a pretty good deal. We ordered the smaller portion and it was too much food for two people to eat before a meal. read more
The food and atmosphere is very good. I will visit again..the enchiladas is very different from the other red sauce enchiladas I've had before. They also have free parking with the Mariott hotel which is really nice in downtown. read more

This very well may be my favorite version of French toast! Wow. So much flavor and perfect texture. I paired it with bacon and blueberries and it was my favorite meal here to-date. Will return! read more

Popped in for the half priced wine bottles that they have on Wednesday(just mention wine and I'm there)and a little dinner. I've never had dinner here(usually go for lunch because of the amazing grilled cheese) and hadn't heard much about it but decided to try the southern fried chicken meal and i was impressed. The batter was seasoned well and it comes with honey with a lil kick to drizzle over it...very tasty. I'll definitely be back for the wine and to try some of the other menu items that looked good. read more
A must visit spot... I typically venture to this spot for brunch but got together with a group of friends for dinner and it was just as BOMB.. the worst part about here is the parking. Due to the NFL combine downtown, streets and parking was blocked. Luckily the trick is to park in the garage at the Marriott attached and they will validate your parking. Great news given that parking was $25 for two hours. I ordered the fish tacos and they were good. Could have been stepped up a notch with flavor but it was good.. I've had much worse .. given we had a party of 10, the staff was amazing, very attentive despite having a full restaurant. If in the area, make sure you check it out! read more

Convient to my hotel, so stopped at ate at the bar for dinner. Cute place, pretty big it appeared from what I saw. I checked in on yelp to get a free crab hush puppy order, they were really good. A lot for one person, feeling guilty wasting some. I also ordered the smoked turkey chopped salad and that was very yummy and filling for a salad. Service was good, prices fine and had a pretty fun drink menu. read more

Decided to try this place on my birthday. It was easy to find and so was parking. Upon walking in I realized it was very classy and I was a little underdressed. We were guided to the hostess table where we waited for atleast 5 minutes while she was in the phone and only acknowledged us to give us a finger to wait. Someone else then proceeded to greet and sit us. A server came to give us drinks and let us know she was not our server but was going to look for him. He appeared and told us he would continue to let the lady serve us. Ok!! He then returned to tell us he would be serving us. He didn't seem happy about it. We ordered the truffle chips, pork nachos (asked for no guacamole) and the fried chicken plate. All of the food was amazing! We also ordered 3 drinks which were great as well. The food was so good I started looking at the website the next day only to realize they were running a special on the fried chicken plate to include a free cornbread which we never received. I loved the food but unfortunately I don't think I'll be back. Horrible service and for the prices I expected a bit more. read more

Connor's immediately impressed me upon entering. It's deceptively spacious and looks very trendy / modern, but with classic appeal and fixtures. Brunch was good. Everything that my party had looked great. My Smoked Brisket Hash was very filling with tasty chopped brisket. The sauce was a bit sweet for my tastes but still pretty good. A good experience would definitely return to further explain the menu. read more

Conner's Kitchen! I am no newbie to Conner's. I frequent their location for the lemon blueberry pancakes and crab hushpuppies. I was even more impressed with the 5 cheese footlong grilled cheese and their array of sausages with accompanying mustards. I was in meaty cheesey heaven! I felt like a kid again with the buttery, still crispy bread full of cheesey childhood memories. They had a margarita that made everyone shimmy with delight. Slow down Conner's, you had me at bacon and lemon pancakes. read more

My friend and I came here while we were on a trip to Indiana. We ordered the Roasted Brussels Sprouts as an appetizer and they were really good. They were sweet and had a nice amount of crispiness. For my entree I ordered the Vegetable and Quinoa Chili. I really enjoyed this, the texture of the quinoa was really nice, I had never thought of using quinoa in chili. It is a little spicy but definitely manageable (and I'm not good with spicy food). My friend got the prime rib dip sandwich. They had forgotten the horseradish cream at first but when we asked, they brought some out. The front of house worker didn't seem the most welcoming or personable but our waitress was really sweet. read more

If you're looking for brunch recommendations, look no further. Conners has your back. If you're a first timer at conner's for brunch, i highly recommend either the buttermilk pancakes or the breakfast burrito: A dynamic duo i don't think any other restaurant in Indy can compete with for brunch. Buttermilk pancakes: WOW WOW. Fluffy (but not so fluffy that makes you think they injected some weird stuff in it to make it fluffier than normal) and literally melts in your mouth. At first i wasn't sure how i would like the lemon syrup but it gave it such a subtle taste that really balanced well with the blueberries. Not super sugary and left feeling very happy. Breakfast burrito: WOW WOW, again. It's got the sausage, the egg, the guacamole, the salsa, the cheese and like 4 other ingredients i can't remember but it sure tasted like Mexican heaven. Cons: the patio doesn't open till 10am? And neither does the bar? Okay so I'm very confused by this... conners is mainly known for their brunch bloody Mary's and brunch menu.... yet the only place in the restaurant that you can sit in before 10 am (sorry i like to start my day early sometimes, don't sue meee hehe) is in the dungeon. Literally the middle spot of the restaurant that has about 2% natural light coming in. I don't want to still feel like I'm in my room at 11pm when I'm getting brunch. Another con is they charge you $5 for still water without telling you!!! WTH. It's 2019... water should be free unless you order like the finest bottle straight out of the alps... read more

This was my first time to Conner's Kitchen + Bar. I was looking for a reasonably priced meal that wasn't far from where I was staying. I searched Yelp and decided to give them a try. I was impressed. The entrance was welcoming with the fire by the patio area. The inside was a little loud in the bar area but I think it was just due to happy hour guests just enjoying a drink after work. The dining area is well decorated and music is not overbearing. The hostess was pleasant and she sat me in a booth which I prefer when dining alone. My server has been very welcoming and helpful during my dining experience. She does well at her job. She always made sure everything was to my liking but also respected my personal space. Just wanted to update my review to include my server's name ( Taylor C). She was really great! I received the order of the lump crab hush puppies as an offer they were doing on Yelp for checking in. They are very good! I didn't want to stop eating them. I ordered the steak frites as my entree and requested it to be cooked medium. These steak came out perfect. The garlic butter finished the flavor of the steak as it was very tender and full of flavor. The fries were very hot and fresh. If I travel here again, I will definitely dine here again. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who doesn't want to dine in chain restaurants but also don't want to pay a lot for their meal. Also, I ended my meal with the butter cake dessert, and it was AMAZING! read more

I already have plans for my next visit to Conner's Kitchen! We went as a group for the Happy Hour and it did not disappoint! I will be going back when their "Prickly Pear Marg" in the drink special on Wednesday nights. There are daily drink specials that pair well with the 1/2 price appetizers. We tried almost everything on the app menu! The spicy BBQ wings were my favorite and I am not typically one to order wings (as they aren't easy to eat, haha). Don't forget to check in on Yelp when you get there or prior, because right now they are offering a free desert for a check in. Again..we tried almost everything on the desert menu! I will be ordering the "Everything" Cake Donuts again! We sat outside along side a fire, which was perfect on a Spring night! The service was great and I cannot wait to go back. read more

Service was on point. A conference just got out when we were there Friday night and the place was packed. The ambiance was great, classy and cozy. Food was just ok. I really wanted to like it however it was overpriced and not much to it. My daughter and I both ordered the smoked wings and it's great that they put 4 sauces on the side but the only buffalo one was a bit too hot for my liking. The two bbq based sauces is what I ate but again nothing that I felt I had to go back for. My daughter didn't care for the combo of smoke and sauce. She thought the hot sauce was good but the smoke threw it off. Cornbread was just meh. I was looking for that sweet finish at the end and was disappointed. It's a cool place and glad we tried it but probably won't be back. read more
First time trying Conner's. We had a warm weekend surprisingly this weekend so we sat outside. There was a breeze and once they cut the fire pits on, it felt amazing !!! My first impression, I was underwhelmed by the size of the menu. I really couldn't find anything I was interested in ordering. We ordered the lump crab hush puppies to start and they were good. The citrus dipping sauce is what set them off. I also ordered a cocktail. Good and strong. I looked over the menu for like 15mins trying to make a decisions so I just settled on a burger. I didn't even take a photo of it. Nothing stood out about it and it tasted like a burger from anywhere else. I'd like to come back to try more if they get new menu items. The ambience of this place was phenomenal though. read more
We had dinner here last week for the first time and had a pleasant time. The restaurant is gorgeous with low lighting, soft candle light and an upscale atmosphere with 4-top tables and comfortable booths. The bar area reflects the upscale dining area decor along with a gorgeous patio including beautiful fireplaces, comfortable seating, nice lighting and toasty heaters. The menu offers appetizers with the ever popular Lump Crab Hushpuppies, Smoked Chicken Wings, Cornbread Muffins and Loaded BBQ Pulled Pork Nachos to name a few. Try one of the four salads (Spicy Tuna Poke) or two sandwiches (try the P.I.G) and very diverse entree plates with Southern Fried Chicken, Enchiladas, Turkey Meatloaf, Baby Back Ribs, Fish Tacos and a Filet Mignon round out a few of the entrees. The bar offers several craft cocktails ($9-$12) and craft beers on tap ($6) along with bottles and cans ($6) plus an extensive list of wines ($10-$14 per glass) are some of the full bar options. My husband enjoyed his Sam Adam's Cold Snap. He ordered the P.I.G. sandwich with fries. The P.I.G. sandwich is smoked pulled pork, thick-cut bacon, aged swiss, Carolina gold sauce and bread & butter pickles on soft, lightly toasted roll. The sandwich was very flavorful with a generous amount of pulled pork, the thick cut bacon was a nice addition and the roll held up well. The Cucumber Basil Cooler was a very refreshing beverage. The tomato soup was a nice consistency, rich and tasty. I also had the Lump Crab Hushpuppies which consists of sweet corn, jalapeno and pepper jack cheese served with citrus aioli. I really enjoyed the nice balance of flavors in the hushpuppies but not a fan of the citrus aioli but others were. Bobbie was our server and he didn't miss a step. He was professional, friendly and thoughtful. Wonderful place for both a romantic or casual dinner with great service. I look forward to trying different entrees in the near future. read more

Disappointing meal sitting at the bar at Conner's. Cole the bartender was great, but the food was cafeteria-like! My colleague and I ordered sticky brussel sprouts, smoked chicken wings, a double cheese burger and P.I.G. The brussel sprouts were chewy, and the chicken wings needed more time in the smoker and the oven, as they had little smoked flavor and we're undercooked. The cheeseburger was okay. The P.IG. reminded me of the sloppily put-together sandwiches you get at Panera and was served with cold fries, which were replaced. Guess I ordered the wrong things! read more
