I was in town for a concert and needed a place to eat that would have good food and drinks and that's exactly what I found at Yard House! The wings were probably some of the best wings that I've had in a while! The lemon pepper was lemon peppering and I would have ate more if I had the room. The fries also came out fresh and were good. I also had a margarita (two of them ) that was pretty and delicious. What also sealed the deal was the server that was friendly and attentive. Had a great Dad's Day here -- lots of tasty choices on the menu, huge number of great beers on tap, not too challenging for Dad's palate. Plus, they had a few vegan choices for me (highly caloric, not super healthy, but still, they had more than one choice, and vegan offerings that weren't salads). They even had three tasty mocktails and some alcohol-free beers (since I don't do booze anymore either)! The veggie burger came with a squishy bean patty, with peas in it -- not my fave texture or flavor but tolerable -- and a tahini sauce... but they barely put any sauce on it. A gourmet, no-high-fructose-corn-syrup ketchup or tomato jam might have been better, or at least more of the tahini. It did come with a nice pile o' crunchy pickles (love) and a lovely green salad with balsamic dressing (way too many carrots). Service was fast and friendly. Ambience is upscale bar, with fun and interesting murals on the walls -- they had a terrific music playlist going, and the Hubbins and I ended up kind of dancing in place without realizing it. Public parking lot directly across the street meant we didn't get soaked by the rainstorm, and didn't have to drive around forever dealing with construction, looking for a parking spot. A nice, easy option for dinner with the fam without having to work/think too hard about it -- something to suit all of our varied diets. read more

3/5 The food was great (I had the steak), and the ambiance was excellent. Yard House has a lively atmosphere and is a nice spot to grab dinner in downtown Indianapolis. Unfortunately, the service did not quite match the food. Our server seemed to be having a rough night. He rarely smiled, moved quickly from table to table, and did not interact much with our group. It felt like he just wanted to get through his shift rather than provide a welcoming dining experience. I completely understand that everyone has off days, and I do not know what may have been going on personally or professionally. Still, hospitality can make a big difference, and our interaction left us feeling more like a task than guests. That said, the food was very good, and I would give the restaurant another chance. We came here for a company dinner and what I will say overall is I was unimpressed. I love yard house for late night happy hour and genuinely every appetizer so this was a real bummer. The prefixed menu featured a weird limited selection. I'm not sure if the company picked this out or yard house did but despite the attempt at a variety of options for every pallet, genuinely nothing on it was good from what everyone ordered and it felt like we were trying too hard. A simple burger and fries option would've been great. It was too avant garde and everything was a bit rough when it did come out. The service was a whole other circus here. We had two long tables and while one had a server who wanted to be there, my table unfortunately did not. Table one ordered a drink that someone at my table was told they couldn't make. Odd right? Especially odd when this was a drink on their menu to begin with. When I asked what that drink at table one was to make a point, our server lied straight to my face and made up a new name for the drink. We knew full well he was lying because we had asked the girl, our coworker, what she got. Yikes. This behavior continued with him throughout the night until I spoke up to someone and it seemed to get to management. From that point it appeared he was removed from the party. However, he was still working the bar and delivering drinks to us. He dropped an old fashioned to the person next to me with what looked like spit in it. Then we watched him go into the back of the kitchen and laugh hysterically. Mind you both of the stories in this review happened to queer individuals so certainly not a good look for this server or this establishment. Management came over and checked in which was kind but it certainly didn't take away from what had already happened. I wouldn't recommend celebrating here or having a big party here. Went in after a fun day at children's museum. Was able to seat us in 10 minutes with a party of 11. Lucked out with 1/2 price appetizers and happy hour drinks. I came here right before a fever game so it was a bit busy because they had their happy hour going on. We ordered appetizers and they all came out pretty fast with how busy it was. The poke nachos were superb- they were my favorite! The sauces on them were amazing and it had plenty of ahi on them. There's street parking downtown and in front of the restaurant if you're lucky. There's also a parking garage across the street. The interior is large enough where you don't feel like you're eating on top of somebody. It's very spacious. The ambiance was definitely buzzing because it was before the game. So if you're coming before an event being hosted downtown I'd suggest coming two hours before the start time of the event. I always can count on you! This is a go to spot all over the US for me. Being downtown Indianapolis I don't get down there much but it was well worth the drive. Yesterday,3/25/26 I decided to grab a cocktail and some food to go from the bar. Jess and Lydia were so sweet and helpful as I couldn't decide on a cocktail too many good choices. I opted for the their Espresso Martini that was fantastic! Happy hour is always a plus here if you can make it. I had one of my favorites while just relaxing at the bar The Poke Nachos! Now if you don't like poke you may or may not enjoy these but if you're like me and enjoy wonderful flavors with a kick try these!!! To go I orders the Garlic Noodles another go to of mine. Hmmmmm so good and the brussels sprouts with these you can't go wrong. Many more items to try here and they do a great job. The chip-to-dip ratio is off, and you'll find yourself wanting more dip before the chips are gone. Beyond that, Yard House delivers. It's a great spot for groups - family-friendly, downtown, and clearly focused on making everyone happy. Holy cats -- this place runs like the MOST well oiled machine! There had to be a million people here with a conference going on in-town. Service went off without a hitch - really great display of team work going on here. Also, the happy hour deals are great. Half off apps?! I don't know how it gets better than that! I wish I could've given this place a higher rating. We arrived a little after 430pm, gave our phone number to the host and she said about 25 minute wait, GREAT!, meanwhile, large groups were sat and they yelled names and numbers for them like "NAME, party of 8" etc. around 510pm-515pm, I told my boyfriend to go ask about our table since no text was received and name not called. The host said, you didn't get a text? We said no and she said to wait 5 more minutes, (mind you, she didn't ask or question our phone number) about 10-15 minutes later, we saw them seating groups of 3-4 that came well after us. My boyfriend went to the host stand again and the male host asked is your phone number "7..." and we said no, it's "6.." and we asked to be seated immediately. Why didn't the host confirm the phone number upon entering it or after we said we didn't receive a text? Why did we have to see the host THREE times to be seated? We didn't get seated and greeted by server until around 530pm. We arrived early to avoid the long wait because we had plans to be at the theatre around 6pm and the host made sure that didn't happen. We immediately ordered our drinks and food since looked at the menu online while waiting, the food arrived before our drinks. Then we ordered dessert through the tablet. A manager came by to ask if food was okay and walked away before we could express our dissatisfaction with the waiting experience. This was our first visit and we aren't sure if we'll return. The food and drinks and dessert were good, but not worth the hassle we encountered. Also, we were sat next to a large table where several individuals were standing around the fully seated table making our server have to squeeze through the crowd which seemed like a safety concern. read more

I had the Korean BBQ Cheesesteak, onion rings, and whiskey black pepper and korean chili garlic boneless wings. Everything was fantastic. Very flavorful, onion rings were nice and crunchy. Of the three, the boneless wings were definitely the best. Unique flavors that shocked me with how amazing they were and full coated in sauce as well. A friend was in town and we went tonight to grab dinner downtown since her hotel was near. This was the worst food I have eaten in Indy. All of the sauces were gross tasting. The brussel sprouts were covered with a sauce that just did not taste good at all. The sauces for the calamari were so gross we didnt even it. The tuna tasted terrible, we each took one bite and did not eat it. The BLT looked good but even the bacon on it tasted off. We pretty much didnt eat anything. The calamari didnt come out until right before our food so our waitress had it taken off the bill. If i could give the food 0 star I would. The server was super friendly and on point. Known territories, have been to many locations in multiple cities. I sat down ordered my usual beverage, an appetizer and a dinner. Easy $90 bill at this location. I was half way through the beer, and some guy dropping off yhe food was extremely dude while dropping it off. Yes, I understand it.is race weekend in INDY. The bar tender explained he had a rough 48 hrs. But I was so turned off I just refused the food. I get but man, I was hungry not many places open. Throughout the night I was super impressed with service and that I didn't hear of any wrong orders or delays. The smoked old fashioned was delicious. The Old 43 was interesting but came across as fruity despite having Woodford bourbon. I enjoyed the guacamole and chips as well as the pretzel and beer cheese. For my dinner I chose the BLT. Huge! Almost too much, making it hard to eat graciously in front of others. Plenty of fries on the side. Overall, a huge menu and I would guess anyone could find something enjoy. Sowar, your staff was excellent and served all the royal blue and white wearing sorority convention attendees and guests with class and A-1 service. The first time we went we had Angelique S. as our server! The second visit we had Madison G. They both were excellent! Round 1: I had the Asada Tacos on Monday! It was pre-taco Tuesday! They were great plus the beans and rice. Round 2: I had the Fish & Chips on Saturday! I had to try it based on the great reviews of sorority sisters on Round 1! This was excellent too! It was an ok experience, slightly disappointing. I just landed and looked up a restaurant open late. Parking was hard due to it being Halloween but was able to find a garage for $20. The waiter was kind and a very sweet waitress came and told me I was very pretty so that made my evening. We ordered truffle fries as an appetizer and they came out cold, not lukewarm but cold. I ordered Cilantro Lime Chicken and the chicken was really good but the Cauliflower rice quinoa mixture side was burnt and put a bitter taste in my mouth. My Husband has the BBQ Chicken Salad. We asked the waiter if the pinto beans were cooked with pork and he checked with the kitchen and confirmed they were so we had them removed. The salad was good. We took the Cilantro Lime Chicken and put it on the Salad and just ate that together. I was so tired I forgot to take pictures. Our bill came to about $50 with tip as we only drank water. read more
