I've been to Hyde Park once before just for a couple drinks and that's what brought me back for dinner. The black cherry old fashioned is one of the best old fashioned's I've ever had, and if you're any fan of cherry this is a must try. I make my old fashioned's at home like these now. They are sublime. Did I mention they are $8 for happy hour? $8. Chipotle is more expensive. Let me not get too excited.... The service here is incredibly friendly and attentive, without being overbearing. Door staff and wait staff were both excellent. NY strip steak was hearty and meaty. Will have to try the ribeye at a later time. The onion straws were a nice touch and complimented it well. I ordered the domestic mushrooms to pair with it. Came out buttery and with a touch of wine. Perfect. A lot of people talk about the steakhouse down the street, and rightfully so. But there are other diamonds in the rough in Indy, and Hyde Park is one of them.
21 years married, and Hyde Park understood the assignment! My wife and I celebrated our 21st anniversary here tonight, and from the moment we walked in, the experience felt intentional, thoughtful, and dialed in. She arrived before me and had her heart set on a booth. One wasn't immediately available, so instead of a shrug or a wait, they seated her at the bar with a cocktail while they prepped one for us. That small move set the tone: we see you, and we've got you. Once seated, our server was absolutely on point--warm, confident, and with a masterful command of the menu and specials. He didn't just explain dishes; he built anticipation for the meal ahead. Mission accomplished. Cocktails were excellent. My wife ordered the Cosmopolitan--clean, balanced, and classy. I went with the Old Fashioned--smoky, smooth, and the kind of drink you're still thinking about halfway through the entrée. We started with the Caesar salad and French onion soup. The salad was crisp and fresh with perfect house-made croutons. The onion soup arrived piping hot, deeply savory, and comforting in all the right ways. But let's be honest--Hyde Park is famous for a reason: the steaks. We both ordered the filet. My wife went Reggie Wayne style. I had mine Miller style, topped with asparagus and lobster. Both steaks were cooked flawlessly--tender, beautifully pink, easy to cut, and packed with flavor. The sauces complemented the beef without stealing the spotlight, which is exactly how it should be. For sides, we shared the au gratin potatoes and flash-fried Brussels sprouts with bacon jam. And listen... once you say "bacon jam," the conversation is already over. These were outstanding. Throughout the meal, we kept looking at each other with that "are you kidding me right now?" look. You know the one. We'd been to another local steakhouse recently with a similar menu, and Hyde Park was simply head and shoulders above--in service, flavor, and overall experience. We closed the night with the flaming butter cake, which felt like the perfect metaphor for the evening: on fire. One of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time. We'll absolutely be back--hopefully making this our anniversary spot for years to come!

My husband and I got to visit Hyde Park for the first time to celebrate our anniversary last month. It was quiet when we walked in, but the musicians set up and they were great ! We were greeted with a card signed by the employees, which was such a nice touch! We have 3 servers working in our section, and each one of them came over at different times introducing themselves. They were all very attentive and very sweet. We ordered the lobster bisque, lamb chops, ribeye, and lobster Mac and cheese. Every dish was to die for !! ..my only complaint for the evening was the not getting my fried onions put in my to go box. Lol I cannot wait to return and try more things from their menu !! Thank you, Hyde Park, for helping to make our anniversary special.
My friend and I decided to drop by Hyde Park for happy hour. They have a good variety of options for drink and food during this time. This was my first time in Hyde Park. I love the ambience and the seating. We sat at the bar and the bartender was attentive and patient when we ordered. I tried the sliders, truffle fries, expresso martini and a paloma. The drinks were great and the prices matched. The fried were delicious. I can't wait to return.
Amazing from start to finish! Our waitress was fantastic. The food was full of flavor and we enjoyed everything! The corn was the STAR of the sides though! Highly recommend it!!
Hyde Park has become our anniversary dinner place. We love the service, their menu offerings, and the atmosphere. Our go to are lobster bisque, Ceasar salad, and any dessert. All of their steaks are delicious so its hard to choose just one. I always recommend adding the truffle butter to take your steak to the next level. We will be back every December.

Ate here for a business dinner. Service was great and the experience was top notice. I got the wagu filet and it was tender and cooked perfectly. The mac and cheese was great along with the asparagus and sauted mushrooms. The sample desert plate was a great choice and I am leaning towards the cheesecake as my favorite. Highly recommend

I had a delightful solo dining experience here for an early dinner. I sat at the bar and leisurely enjoyed a meal. I was never rushed. The bartender provided great service. And the ambiance and vibe was enjoyable. The wedge salad had a unique twist with the pecans. The filet was perfectly cooked. And I really liked the bernaise sauce. All in all, super happy and content with my experience here.
Was in town for conference stopped in to have dinner. Sat at the bar and the bar tender was very nice. We tried the calamari it was great! Fried to perfection. Also tried the crab cake it was pretty good nothing over the top. At the recommendation of the bar tender I had the Steak Miller which was good. My steak was slightly over cook but the taste was great! I would return here for sure.

Very upscale Steakhouse in the heart of Downtown Indy. The Bar has all the top shelf selections you would expect from a Mahogany feel 5star restaurant. It is connected to the Intercontinental Hotel which made it nice since I was staying there. The manager came out after we were greeted and dropped off a small plate with a cucumber with a small piece of salmon drizzled with Balsamic and a hot sauce of some kind, and a micro green. It was very tasty. For our appetizer, we opted for the Lobster "Escargot style" (butter poached lobster in an escargot plate, with garlic parsley butter, served with a crostini. It was heaven-like! Never had lobster served this way, but will trust and recreate at home. For my main course, I had the NY steak (Medium rare) enhanced with seared Scallops. For sides we had the Garlic whipped mashed potatoes and the Dutov Thick Cut Bacon. The steak was cooked perfectly, the scallops were seared golden brown and tasted buttery. The mashed potatoes were good , but the Duroc Thick Cut Bacon was out of this world good. I would order this again and again. We paired dinner with a bottle of Sea Smoke Pinot Noir Ten, and it was a perfect pairing. The service was excellent and I would highly recommend Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse if you are looking to impress a client or just treat yourself to a good experience. A date night staple!!! Beware, don't even bother looking for parking in the area right now while downtown is being reconstructed in the dumbest way possible! Valet is $25 - worth the money! Food was a 10/10 & so was the service. This was my boyfriend's first time & he LOVED it. read more

Went here for our anniversary and we enjoyed our visit. We split the Myles Turner porterhouse, which we both enjoyed. The filet side was incredibly tender, and the strip side had a nice flavor to it. The sides were good, but didn't wow us. The highlight of the night was the campfire s'more dessert. There was a strong smokiness to it that really caught us off guard initially, but we both enjoyed it. The service here was good, and the atmosphere was arguably the best of any steakhouse in the city. The live music really put it over the top for us. read more

Met for a work dinner with some out of town guests. I arrived first and took advantage of the valet parking as street parking is very limited. As I was first to arrive, I sat at the bar and ordered a drink until the rest of my party arrived. I ordered the white pear cocktail and it was delicious and they didn't skimp on the alcohol. Ambiance in the restaurant is coz but we'll lit and welcoming. Once seated at our table, we ordered some appetizers. I got the crab cake which was delicious. One of my companions got the lobster bisque and the other got the lobster escargot style. I got to try the lobster appetizer and it was divine and the lobster bisque got a thumbs up as well. For the entree I got the filet mignon which came with the sprained crispy potatoes. The other got the Reggie Miller steak and we split the millionaires potatoes. Overall the food, including dessert was excellent, the staff were attentive and dinner was a night well spent. Definitely would dine here again read more

We came here for their devour which is a 3 course meal for $50, We started with lobster bisque, followed by their filet mignon and finished it off with their flourless chocolate torte. Let me tell you that this has been my favorite steakhouse in Indianapolis! The lobster bisque is just sooo sooo flavorful, they're not stingy with the actually lobsters in your soup The filet mignon is THE BEST filet I've had ever. They just melt in your mouth! So heavenly! I had a moscato to drink and that was delicious as well While we were dining there was a live music being played by a man on a piano on the bar, yes on the bar he was up there for everyone to see and hear Our service was good as well! Depending on whether or not, you're going for dinner or cocktails makes a difference. First time here and went for dinner. Tried the Wayne & Miller steaks along with the sautéed asparagus, gratin potatoes, spinach & mushrooms, baked potato, lobster bisque soup and baked onion soup. And dessert was a butter cake. Was a bit disappointed with both steaks. IMO neither held up to the name compared to other steakhouses in the area. The sides were just okay. Ended up sending back the baked potato due to it not being hot when it came out. The gratin potatoes were indeed a hit!! They were full of flavor, baked event throughout and came out hot. Out of the two soups, the baked onion soup was by far the best I've had to date. For that alone, I would go back. From the service received from the moment I walked through the door, to being seated & served, the service was amazing!!! This too is another reason why I would return. But the highlight was the live music from Brian Kelly & his brother. It made me feel like I was at an upscale lounge somewhere other than downtown Indy. If good music is what you're looking for with some good cocktails and an amazing cup of baked onion soup, Hyde is where you want to be. Nope. Y'all slipp'n idk what you did but the 14 oz NY strip was terrible cut of meat w/zero flavor, the crab cake wasn't crispy it was barely done and the flourless chocolate torte was semi-frozen and mid at best. What happened to you? read more
Had a reservation on Saturday night. Was seated right away in a booth which was great. Started with the oysters which were very small but good. Then had the Bone in Robeye special sliced for two which was cooked perfectly. For side had the whipped potatoes and the Mac and cheese all very good. The black cherry old fashioned was very tasty and the best you ever had espresso martini was pretty damn good. The place is nicely decorated with a couple of tvs and live entertainment in the evening. Would eat here again. read more

I'd definitely recommend this place for a date night or just get a reservation to try it. We went for Devour Indy and we were pleasantly surprised at the staff and food. The filets were on point and cooked perfectly to requested temp. The bread was a very delicious assortment. The lobster bisque had chunks of lobster. The only issue was we only had our water refilled once. read more

Great experience! Made a quick reservation for this place about an hour before going. When we arrived, the service was top tier! They had live music going which was great along with the already perfect ambiance of the place! We had the Duroc Bacon as an appetizer and it is a must try! Very thick cut and has a nice sweet vinegar glaze! For Dinner, we had the Reggie Wayne steak, the Cheeseburger, the Roasted Brussel Sprouts, and the Mac and Cheese! Everything was delicious! This was the place to be on New Year's Eve! My daughter took me to dinner so we could ring in the new year properly, and neither of us had been here before. The ambience was amazing. Vibrant people were happy and festive, and the live music was terrific. Even though you had live music, you could still hear your self talk, they had a wide range of price points on the menu. The meats were à la la la cart much like Ruth Chris, but I enjoyed this experience much more than I have at that location. We start off with an appetizer of calamari, which was delicious and good sizes. I also like that they give you various pieces of calamari beyond the circles because those other pieces are my favorite. Then we shared a mix salad, which was delicious I don't really know how to tell you what the flavor was but it was all chopped very fine, and the dressing was , awesome it was very light and flavorful and full of crunch. Then we each had a steak I just had the ribeye special I ordered medium rare and it came out beautifully cooked and tender. I am of the opinion if the steak is a good cut and it's cooked well you do not need anything to accompany that, as far as sauces go. We also shared the au gratin potatoes, which were also delicious and everything arrived warm and the potatoes were hot and delicious at the end. My daughter had a petite fillet, and she very much enjoyed hers as well. We stayed longer than the note on the table, said we were supposed to because it was busy and it did take some time to get our order out, our waitress was amazing and she was very attentive and came back-and-forth to a table. But I have to say every staff member really helps every customer because as soon as we finished a bread plate or our salad plate, somebody came by and picked it up, even if it wasn't our waitress and our drinks were topped up often. it was an amazing dinner a great way to start the new year and I would definitely return. read more
