Committee has been on my list for a while, and it completely lived up to the hype! Great cocktails, delicious food, and excellent service made this a hands-down 5-star. Came for dinner before a concert on a Sunday night and enjoyed the okra horiatiki (like a chopped Greek salad topped with fried okra - very fresh, savory and light), grilled calamari (very generous portion with extremely fresh squid...being from Rhode Island, we would have loved some hot peppers, but overall this was excellent), shrimp skordo (the risotto this was over made this a really hearty option), and souvlaki (lamb was cooked impeccably). Had the Passionate Commander for a drink. Staff was accommodating about swapping regular tequila in for the mezcal the drink comes with (I don't like smokiness). The finished product was super refreshing and well-balanced. My only regret is that we didn't have time for dessert because of our concert timeline! Will have to come back another time. read more

We used to love this place, but in last 1 year the customer service has become MISERABLE! The hostess just had an awful attitude, and faked it that we were on a waitlist when in fact she never added our name!! We waited at the bar buying several drinks for about 2 hours, hoping to get a text that our table was ready, but after we didn't hear anything, we found out from the manager that we were never added to the waitlist. Avoid at all costs. To the management - Fire the hostess and get better staff if you want this restaurant to survive. read more

I absolutely love committee, whether it is for drinks and app or even brunch on Sundays! The interior has a fresh, clean look to it and great upbeat music. They have a fun/ delicious selection of cocktails and the most amazing shakshuka in Boston! read more

I'm a big fan of Greek food and Mediterranean food, and I think the Seaport district is the perfect place to serve small plates full of flavor. The surrounding area of the restaurant is in the midst of a lot of change. Lots of apartment buildings and new construction are happening, but Committee is a nice, quiet, unique place to have dinner. The space is very open and full of light. It instantly smelled amazing when we walked in the door. We started with the Melitzanosalata. It was a perfect dip to start the Greek meal. Next we had the calamari, which was very different from your typical restaurant. It was perfectly fried and crispy. The calamari tasted fresh and went perfectly with the Alfa beer aioli. We also had the snapper. The fish was perfectly cooked and very tender. There was a thick coat of celery ladolemono poured over the top of the fish. It was lemony and the perfect topping to the snapper. We also tried the spanakopita, spinach pie. The phyllo dough was crispy and light, and the spinach mixture was layered just the right amount. read more

Excellent drinks, great small plates for sharing. Located right in the seaport district. Went with my three roommates and spent under $25 per person for two rounds of drinks and lots of food. Loved the spanakopita dip (phyllo squares were ) & the artichoke moussaka was to DIE for. We also ordered the calamari which had a delightful sauce on top I wasn't expecting. Would love to go back and try their brunch soon! Definitely would recommend making a reservation especially on a weekend night, tends to get really busy (we went on a Friday night). Baklava cheesecake was also unreal, they have yummy Greek coffee too. Overall great menu selection and cool ambiance. Staff was super friendly as well. Look forward to coming back soon! read more

Have been here for lunches, dinners, and events. This place is great it's tapas style but there a couple of different plates you can order that would be for 8-10 people. The drink menu is interesting everything has a twist to it but they are good. The place is always packed so it's best if you make a reservation. There is an area that's first come first serve but what I don't like about it is the tables are so slow so it's very uncomfortable to eat at. read more

I love this place!! Such great food and fun atmosphere. Highly recommend the fried Feta cheese

The staff is wonderful. The food is quite ok too. I liked the Feta dish and Artichoke dish. I would definitely eat them once but will not want to eat over and over again just cheese does get filling very quickly. The chicken meatballs were awesome. Calamari was pretty typical. Lobster dish was great. Definitely would recommend visiting at least once! read more

Definitely a fun and happening place in the Seaport district on a Friday night. Of course more of an adults place, but we experienced friendly and excellent service to our family party with some kids in tow. Also very accommodating and helpful with our dietary restrictions. Enjoyed everything we ate, but particularly enjoyed their hummus and octopus dish. read more

I ate dinner here for the first time. It was recommended, and for a Monday night, it was busy. The service was good, bit the food was very mediocre. Lamb was so over cooked it was unrecognizable. Calamari was bland. Moussaka was better, but cold. Halibut was ok, but not worth ordering again. The fried chicken was dry, and boring. Samosas were also unremarkable. Don't waste your time or your money. read more

Good food and ambience. There are good vegetarian options and the waitstaff is quite friendly. The ouzo is very nice as well; I recommend this place for friends and coworkers to hang out and have a nice evening! read more

One of my favorite restaurants in the city. A phenomenal location and a great place to visit whether you're going for lunch, dinner or late night drinks. Ther food is absolutely delicious and drinks are always creative and very good. Great atmosphere both during the day and at night. I love doing brunch here on their patio in the summertime. Wonderful place all around. Their zuchini crisps are out of this world delicious - addicting! read more

What makes Committee great is its availability to make a reservation, the service, and the quality of what you're getting. The Mediterranean/Greek food they make is pretty light on the stomach and appetizing for the most part! I've been here several times and had a pretty good experience at each. Location is in seaport area, so it gives you a lot of options to go out to the new lounges, and nightlife joints in the area. I do enjoy this place at various times in the day. read more

In an area where a new buildings plus new restaurants seem to pop up on a monthly basis, Committee has the potential to be a standout. There are many positives and few negatives. 1. Service was excellent. I strongly suggest you listen to the server's suggestion regarding the quantity of dishes to order. Her suggestion of 2 plates per person was correct. Unless someone has a prodigious appetite much more food and you will leave in a food coma. A 2. The atmosphere is bright and welcoming. The only draw back is the incredibly loud music. It was very challenging to carry on a conversation. This is a major flaw in the design. B- 3. The food is awesome. My favorite was the avocado mousse. That said everything was terrific. A+ 4. They have a nice selection of wines and beers. A 5. Price: Absurd but so it every where you eat in town these day. n/a Over all nice experience but to the management: turn the frigging music down. read more

Went in on a Saturday morning for brunch. Really wanted to like this place but was shocked at the quality of the food, given the excellent reviews. Ambience: Hip, instagram-worthy aesthetics. We were seated in the back corner, which was less pretty, but there are only a few seats in the brighter areas of the restaurant so not complaining here. Service: Our waitress was pleasant -- no complaints. She was happy to refill my cup several times and was attentive throughout. Food: I ordered the Classic Greek Omelette and was so disappointed -- lacking flavors, the egg tasted like flimsy plastic, there was feta scattered here and there that made it edible. I swear I've made better omelets at home. Looking at other reviews, it seems like this isn't always the case, so perhaps I came at an off day... My friend ordered the Loukaniko Hash, which she was satisfied with, and so I ordered one for take-out for my husband (he requested I bring something home). He used the phrases "tastes healthy" and "needs hot sauce" to describe it. Perhaps it tastes better on the spot. We did enjoy the Greek Yogurt Pancakes -- they were a bit soggy when we got to them, but I like the tanginess of the yogurt that added depth to the overall sweet profile. Would recommend avoiding our mistake and eating them before they get too soggy. I was also on and adventurous mood and tried the Greek coffee. I'm not familiar with Greek coffee, so this may come from my ignorance, but after several sips, I was left with a large clump of coffee goop on the bottom. I asked our waitress to refill the cup with hot water several times to retrieve some coffee into liquid form. Again, perhaps this is what Greek coffee is supposed to be? Not sure, but it definitely wasn't your regular cup of coffee. Conclusion: Cute restaurant, but not sure if the food is worth the parking around Seaport. Perhaps we came on an off day. read more

Having grown up in Greece, I was sceptical about Committee, however my boyfriend and I decided to give it a try and Committee is now my favorite Greek food restaurant in Boston. Every one of the dishes we had reminded me of authentic Greek food with a twist. The environment was really nice for a date night too and our servers were very polite and attentive. We had four small plates and desert and it all came around to $90 for two people without any drinks. We tried the shishito peppers with greek honey, the chicken meatballs also with honey, zucchini crisps with smoked onion yogurt dip and the trout. Finally, All delightfully delicious. I will be back! read more

Great portion sizes, reasonable pricing, quick service. Ordered the potatoes, they had a Smokey flavor that was not indicated on the menu. Highly recommend. read more

We had high expectations coming to Committee and were overall not impressed. The biggest disappointment was the service. We were asked to order everything at once, which ended with us totally over ordering and ordering things that the waiter recommended that were overly salty. Like the feta and a few of the meat dishes. There were some tasty dishes, but overall the over ordering and excessive salt ( I also love salt so this is saying a lot), dominated the experience. The drinks were really good and the atmosphere is cool, so maybe I'd come back for drinks and apps. read more

Committee has come to one of the most happening parts of the city, in the right place, at the right time. It has successfully managed to create a unique identity for itself - that of a glamorous night spot that doesn't affect your credit card as much as it may seem - amidst a flurry of new establishments popping up all over the place. Took out a couple of coworkers and some friends, a few times since after attending a Yelp event here, about a month ago. This place has been growing on me - slowly but surely. And I am the last one to be bothered about the kind of crowd that shows up at any place, as long as I am left to my own devices, get to enjoy my own space and the company I am with. Committee fits that bill quite well. The floor to ceiling glass windows give you a clear view of the commotion outside and before you know, the space is quite packed with very mixed a crowd inside. Hence it does tend to get a bit noisy at times. That's probably why I would never be here on a date. Heck, for that matter, I would not go on a date to anyplace in Seaport district - period! Just not my style I guess. But anything all fun, it's game on! The socializing atmosphere is simply enhanced by the rustic / chic decor. Hues of mahogany / dark brown, complimented with the subtle lighting, et al. And what's not to like about the huge almost square bar in the middle of the very well designed space. That's where most of the action really is. Although, I do like the option to either be at your own tall table with your party or if there is some one on one talk required, there are enough paired up leather chairs with small tables. So we managed to be at the central bar the first time and then had our own table the next time. It was equally good. I have to mention that the bathrooms are over the top (all those pennies!!) and I can see what they are trying to go for. But, don't want to sound too critical here... so not saying anything at all :) The staff here keeps things running at a great pace. The food - rightly so the small portions, is ideal bar food, especially given the artfully crafted cocktails. + My favorites was absolutely the skewered lamb which was perfectly done. + Close second was the grilled octopus which was perfectly seasoned and not too salty - an easy to do mistake with octopus given it's texture. Despite a decent beer selection - on tap, bottled, craft, the emphasis is mainly on cocktails. They definitely have a good mixologist on board in charge of the show. I have tried several of their specialty drinks on their menu. I wasn't a big fan of their tequila / bacon based fixation. That was the only miss for me. One of the bar tenders - who seemed definitely foreign given the english, made this amazing vodka / prosecco / elder flower / mango puree drink when I told him what kind of drinks I like. That was really nice of him. Kinda made my night! Highly recommended for drinks and some light food. Can absolutely see this as a great option to be at when in Seaport district. read more

Was able to reserve a seat at the bar for brunch on a beautiful Saturday. When we arrived the hostess unprompted suggested that she could move us to a high top table outside, which was an excellent upgrade. The service was fast, especially for being so busy and the food was delicious. Pricing was nicely affordable. Overall great experience. read more

I have been dying to try Committee for ages. Finally, on a chilly January Saturday, my friend and I ventured to the Seaport for dinner. As soon as we walked in, we adored the open seating plan, the high ceiling, the chesterfield couches in the lounge area, and the interesting lights. As we were waiting for our table, we were approached by a charming gentleman who bought us a round of drinks (I will forever associate this fortuitous event with Committee) - and the drinks were resplendently delightful. I got the "Red Eye Robbie" and it was almost too gorgeous to drink. We proceeded to order the spanakopita, the zucchini crisps, the souvlaki, the calamari, and the beet tzatziki. This turned out to be a lot of food. The proportions are amazing. I would order this many plates at Barcelona and only be partially satiated, here, my eyes were woefully surveying how much food was left over, while my stomach gurgled happily. Each plate was mouthwateringly good - the spanakopita was flaky and filled with spinach and feta, the zucchini crisps were addictive, the souvlaki was juicy and filling, the calamari was spiced just the right way, and the beet tzatziki was something new and enticing. The staff was great, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the vibe was wonderful. I'd visit again in a heartbeat...Especially if the regular clientele is willing to lubricate me with those tastebud-invigorating cocktails. read more

Went here last night at the request of one of my girlfriends who had been there once and suggested we visit there to break her Yom Kippur fasting. If you're looking for a feast, big portions, good value--this is not the place. Yes, it's tapas, but for the astronomical price Committee is asking, you'd think there'd be a little more food on the plate. But no. Herein lies some serious price gouging. After the waitress talked me out of getting the mussels, recommending instead a pork dish, I was flabbergasted when it arrived. A sweet potato "boat" with pulled pork on top and a Greek-style BBQ sauce around it ... for $15. My girlfriend said she'd ordered this dish last time and it came with not one, but TWO sweet potato boats, which might justify the outrageous price (though I'm being generous here: a sweet potato alone is .75 cents in most supermarkets). $12 for three SMALL mushroom phyllo fried dumplings. My friend's artichoke moussaka was good, but it was a 3x3-inch portion, for $14. Split between three people, that's nearly $5 for a few bites. It's also the cost of a hefty sandwich at a more decent place. The cocktails here were also expensive, in the 12-15 range. This restaurant was an assault on my humanity. I love going out to eat and I don't mind spending money on good food and solid cocktails. I felt like I was getting gypped every second of my time in Committee. Maybe it's a tourist trap. Maybe they think they can capitalize on the attractive interior. I don't know. But I've had good, inexpensive Greek food that was 1,000 times better than this. And I cannot recommend this place with good conscience. we had to ask for three baskets of bread just to feel full. I think whoever priced the items should be arrested for fraud. SIDE NOTE: There are no locks on the bathroom doors and the floor tiling is made of pennies, a subtle reminder, perhaps, that this place has your money and went willy nilly wild with it. Lame. read more

Committee is the type of place I want to spend every weekend at!!! I love everything about this place. The food is literally so unreal I could eat every single item on the menu and that's rare!!! I don't even know where to begin with the staff. If you want service that is equally, if not BETTER than the food you're eating, then please do yourself a favor and go to Committee!!! Special shoutout to the Manager Heather and to Nick and Erwin who are the absolute coolest waiter's EVER!!! I'm already itching to go back! read more

Went Friday night June 26 with my wife. As we live in the Seaport this was long anticipated addition to the neighborhood. The good news - great decor, very attentive service staff and good meze. The bad news - way overpriced and small meze will not last past the good feeling grand opening phase. $16 for a half of a small martini that was doused in vermouth even I stated extra dry. $16 for 3 shrimp, $14 for small halloumi cheese.....$30 for two really small plates and you go away hungry? Really? Get some real Greek entrees and you stand a chance otherwise this will be a 20-something hangout bar for the Seaport area but as a restaurant....good luck. read more

Nothing is even 4 star at this place! I have hardly been to a place which has excelled in every dept and this adds to the list. Perfect ambience, friendly staffs, great hospitality, beautiful table decor, out of the world cocktails, and super satisfying and tasty food. I recommend booking a table before going as the place was packed even on a Tues evening. We ordered take it sloe and committee mule cocktails. Both were superb. Mule was spicy as suggested and sloe had a very different taste, one of the best drinks i have had ever. In food, artichoke moussaka portion looked small but was quite filling. Chicken skewers are all time winner as mentioned in previous reviews too, very juicy chicken. Complementary pita bread and spinach based hummus were also very tasty. We had a great culinary experience and would def revisit in future. Keep up the good work. read more

Came at 915pm on Saturday to meet a large party that was halfway through dinner. Door guy told me thirty minute wait TO GET IN THE DOOR and that I couldn't join my party because there was a line. Btw, the line was 10 people clearly looking to go out and have drinks, not people coming for dinner, let alone trying to join an existing seated dinner. Totally obnoxious. Also they have bad cell service or something so I couldn't reach the person I was supposed to join. I live in the seaport and spend plenty of $$ at all the restaurants down there. Definitely never ever going to this place again. Rude, pretentious and just not that cool a spot to be treating people like crap. Thanks but no thanks. read more

Good ambience , food is not great though. It's really sad for a Greek place to mess up lamb. It was dry, rubbery and had no seasoning what so ever. Fish smelled very fishy so definitely wasn't fresh, and was dry as well. Not worth the $22 price at all for an extremely small serving. Never again !!! read more

I haven't written a review in ages, but Committee was so astoundingly delicious that I felt compelled to share. Committee is the kind of place you go for a girls' night out. It's fun, different, uber hip, good for sharing, and the food is delicious. My friend and I shared a trio of avocado, beet, and traditional tzatzikis (with a warm bucket of pita... yum!); grape leaf dolmades; octopus; and spanakokeftedes. We loved every dish we had, and I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite. I wouldn't consider myself a Mediterranean food fanatic, but every dish was incredible, and despite the fact that this was my second dinner of the evening (no, seriously-it was my second dinner), I couldn't help but eat myself into a food coma. Highly recommended. read more

I came here with a work colleague for dinner. I've got to say, I'm not usually a fan of shareable food / tapas, but Committee was fantastic! In particular, the grilled calamari on a bed of fava was delicious, as was the ground beef kebab. They have a nice little patio outside and all in all the food is also a great value (we shared 6 plates and drinks and the tab was just over $60 each). Highly recommended! read more

We came here for drinks and a snack after work one day, so I can't comment on the full dinner/meal experience. However, the drinks were amazing! I had ordered a Greek mojito, which they were out of but the bartender made one for me from scratch that was pretty darn close! They also have a fantastic beer selection! The snacks hit the spot! We ordered the zucchini chips that came with a dipping sauce that I would consider putting on everything and anything. They also brought over fresh pitas with another dipping sauce. Overall, it was a great spot for after work drinks, snacks, and conversation! Oh and the decor is beautiful! Very industrial and open. This could be our new spot! read more

Wow! Hats off to this terrific Mediterranean restaurant. Great decor (a warm version of industrial chic), attentive service and an inspired menu. This place takes Greek and Cypriot staples and serves them with a twist. Food was wonderful, cocktails were well crafted. I don't generally drink hard alcohol but I got the Smoke Show, and it was awesome. Strong as $%#@ and bacon?! Food - the artichoke thing was great, obviously. The babaganush, awesome.. the warm pita they served.. couldn't get enough.. chicken and the other meat skewers.. tasty. Staff, I know it's knew and super busy.. we did order right away and it took a half hour for them to set the table and get the waters out. Food was out before our drinks were there.. so that was a little alarming. Hopefully they get into the swing of things as time goes on and correct that. Decor, music, atmosphere.. charming and upbeat. I really liked the place and I hope to go back down the line. read more

Ummmmm NO! A HUGE, FAT NO!!!!! Let me start by saying that my colleagues did not feel well of their stomach after eating here. And even I didn't feel too comfortable when I went home. I'm not an expert of Mediterranean food, actually I have never had Mediterranean food before but if this is what the food taste like I'm not a fan and never will be. My drink, Cuban Affair was excellent though, but of course I would think so it's hard to mess up alcohol in my eye; or maybe I drink whatever... I really can't decide, not yet! The place has a cool, lay back lunge feel to it and it's beautifully decorated. I would highly recommend it for just grabbing drinks and maybe a small plate before heading somewhere else but don't waste your money on a meal here. The check will be extra high and you would be going home wanting to order Chinese or pizza afterwards. read more

We came here yesterday evening for a company dinner, where they seated us in the private area in back. We had a pre-fixed meal, starting with cocktails and 5 bottles of red wine, accompanied by appetizers including pita bread and hummus, fried zuchini chips, fried mushrooms, spiced chicken skewers, and calimari. Everything was cooked to perfection and the flavor profiles were great. The next courses consisted of massive plates of roasted lamb where the meat fell off the bone and literally melted in your mouth, as well as snapper that came with a sauce that I could not identify, but also very delicious. Rice was also set aside to pair with these dishes. Our meal ended with dessert that I believe was baklava; sweet, nutty dessert. Overall, amazing experience, and our two waiters made it that much better. Quick service, drinks expedited, dishes removed, and comical relief. Highly, highly recommended - Best, Charlie read more
