After messaging the owner, he explained that the shop restricts drink modifications to speed up service. However, the obvious miscommunication among staff shouldn't fall on the customer. It was extremely uncomfortable to be shut down and given a hard time by Marcy. While every business has the right to set its menu rules, denying basic customizations and refusing to sell a side of cream top feels overly rigid for a local coffee shop.
