What an amazing dinner at Coast Range. We were welcomed by the friendly and professional Reina sat us at a lovely booth. Ciana and Ella took great care of us with Kye and Abraham assisting. We started with drinks and appetizers. My wife had the Gin cocktail and I had an amazing Margarita recommended by Ciana. We also ordered the buttered rolls and the grilled artichoke. Simply amaging and what a wonderful and therapeutic ambiance. For our entrees my wife had the Tapioca crusted snapper entree and I had the filet mignon with a side of the potatoe puree and spinach crusted delight. Oh my so good and alot of food. We ended up taking some home for tomorrow. Ella was so sweet helping us put everything in containers etc. The still bottled water was also refreshing as was the iced tea that I had after my drink. Such a wonderful setting and a terrific presentation of the dishes that we ordered. We did not order dessert but Ciana surprised us with a lovely sweet celebration dessert. So good. Great people, food, service and ambiance. Highly recommended

Brunch at Coast Range completely lived up to the hype and honestly, this place deserves every bit of its Michelin recognition. The food feels thoughtful without trying too hard, and every dish had so much flavor packed into it. The Crispy Pork Belly Sandwich was the standout for me. The gochujang Coca Cola glaze gave it that perfect sweet and savory balance, while the snap pea slaw added freshness and crunch. And somehow the brown butter cashew butter tied everything together in the best way possible. The Wagyu Pastrami Sandwich was just as memorable, rich, juicy, and super satisfying. The Swiss cheese, horseradish cream, sauerkraut aioli, and beef jus all worked so well together without overpowering the wagyu. We also ordered the strawberry lemonade and lavender lemonade, which were both super refreshing and perfect for brunch. And to end the meal, the sticky toffee pudding was absolutely exquisite. Warm, soft, rich, and easily one of the best desserts I've had in a while. I would honestly suggest not sharing it lol. Definitely one of those brunch spots where you leave already thinking about your next visit.

My family and I checked out Coast Range for dinner on our first night in Solvang. We were really impressed by the Michelin Star stickers in the window for the last 4 years - that had to mean something! We were seated right away as we had arrived a few minutes after they opened. The inside was dark, but cozy. For drinks, I ordered the Vaquero Martini which was pretty good and my husband ordered an Old Fashioned - we thought it was very strange that it came in a glass with a bunch of ice instead of a giant cube or sphere. The food items were a bit pricy so my husband and I decided to split some appetizers - Artichokes, French Onion Soup and the Skirt Steak. We ordered the Kids Bolognese Pasta which our daughter loved - I wish my husband and I could have said the same thing about what we ordered. I did enjoy the French Onion Soup the best, but we have made much better artichokes at home and the skirt steak was barely seasoned. Overall, staff were very friendly, but the food was not worth the price point at all in our opinion. Everything was honestly mid - we had high hopes considering all of the Michelin Star recognitions. I know we only ordered appetizers, but we thought it would have given us a little taste of everything. I'm not sure if we came on an off day, but if we're ever in Solvang again, Coast Range will not be a restaurant we rush to unfortunately.

We made a reservation prior to going. The staff greeted us very nicely, the waitress, waiters and servers were all extremely kind. I would definitely return to this establishment. The drinks were evenly proportioned to the taste. We ordered old fashions and margarita. The food was extremely delicious the steak and mushroom, the beef stroganoff, chicken cordon blu and the kids steak and fries. It is a slightly pricey restaurant but well worth it! Great please to celebrate something special. The vibes and music were amazing I have nothing but great things to say about this establishment.

Great service! The food was so good. Everything was fresh and brought out as soon as it was done. We got the Oysters, Lobster tail, French onion soup, and the Beef Stroganoff.

My sister and I went to Solvang for the weekend. There's not many places open late lucky for us Coast Range was open. The restaurant gives you a little bit of back in the day feel along with a bit of luxury. We ordered the beef stroganoff and rigatoni. Both were delicious, however my favorite out of the two was the rigatoni. We got sparkling water as I was driving. They have a fill bar and wine list. We were so full but wanted to try dessert. Therefore we took it to go. The waitress was right the donuts are different and delish. Our waitress was excellent she stopped by to check in and did not rush us to order. Thank you!

This was my first Michelin-star restaurant, and it definitely lived up to the experience. The ambiance was beautiful, with both outdoor and indoor seating options. We chose to sit outside although the inside felt cozy, intimate, and perfect for a date night. Our server was a bit serious, but still very attentive and kind. We came for brunch, and everything was packed with flavor. The kids' bolognese pasta was absolutely incredible. we ended up eating most of it before our own dishes even arrived. Every plate was delicious, and honestly, I wish I had saved room for dessert.

We made reservations ahead of time for dinner at Coast Range and had a great overall experience. Upon arrival, we had the option of sitting inside or outside. The dining room was beautiful and would make a great date night spot with its quieter atmosphere, but it felt a little warm for our liking, so we chose to sit outside. The patio was comfortable, and the staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout the evening. We started with the grilled skirt steak, ordered medium rare, although it came out closer to medium well. Fortunately, the sesame-cilantro marinade and pickled vegetables brought plenty of flavor to the dish and made up for the temperature miss. For our entrée, we shared the Creekstone ribeye. We ordered it medium rare, but it arrived closer to medium. Despite that, the steak was still very tasty. We paired it with the glazed wild mushrooms, which ended up being my favorite item of the savory dishes, along with the Stuffed Shell "Mac n' Cheese." Everything arrived hot and was well prepared. We also ordered a few cocktails, which were okay but didn't stand out. A little more attention behind the bar would have elevated the experience even further. Halfway through dinner, I asked for Maldon sea salt for the steak, and the team happily accommodated the request, which was appreciated. The highlight of the night was easily the Brown Butter Brioche Donuts for dessert. Absolutely fantastic. Soft, rich, and packed with flavor. They were the perfect way to end the meal and the one dish I'd tell everyone to order. Overall, while a couple of the steak temperatures missed the mark and the drinks were a bit mid, the service, atmosphere, and dessert made for a very enjoyable evening. We'd definitely come back and explore more of the menu.

We were warmly greeted and promptly seated in a cozy booth. There is a delightful charm to the decor. Clearly the executive chef favors a menu with a few items done really well than offering a litany of entrees do satisfactory. Our server was wonderful, making certain we enjoyed our meal. Started with a mimosa and Bloody Mary. The BM was the better of the two. We chose eggs Benedict which were fantastic. Rich, creamy and simply uncious with a balanced profile including a bit of salt...probably from the ham. We weren't rushed through our meal which was perfect for a Sunday. Cheers!

You stopped at this place to get some lunch. They had seating inside and out which caught our eye. We ended up sitting inside. Our waitress was very friendly and made the experience much more enjoyable. The menu was good and I had a chicken sandwich. I would like to go back to this place and explore more of the menu. It's right downtown and surrounded by shopping and decadent pastry shops.

Looking for a dog-friendly restaurant with cocktails close to our hotel after a drive up from Pasadena. Coast Range seemed to check all the boxes, and they had an available reservation on the patio. We got (for us) the perfect table, which was a small area next to the entrance. Actually only our table, which was great for containing our puppy, plus a heat lamp and service over the pony wall which worked out great! We started with delicious cold, crisp martinis with blue cheese stuffed olives and a bowl of water for our pup. Our server (Chelsea B?) was so fun and friendly! We then had maybe the best wedge salad we've ever had! I think the lettuce was cut to, but not thru, the base, and opened up, with toppings inside. Roasted beet cubes, bacon, blue cheese and shallots, plus cherry tomatoes, hard boiled egg quarters and fried shallots garnish. It was incredible. I think they should call it "More than a Wedge." We also had the Ahi crudo, which had a delicious sauce and thinly sliced peppers. I wasn't too hungry, so had the French onion soup as my main course. So, it definitely didn't taste anything like French onion soup! It looked like it, and it was definitely cooked down onions but the flavor wasn't anything like I'd expect. However, it was really delicious and satisfied my craving for something warm & cheesy. So if you go in knowing that, I think you'll enjoy it. I don't like lamb, so my husband often gets it when we go out. When he took his first bite, I could tell he enjoyed it. He said it was some of the best lamb he's had and he's had a lot! It's à la carte, but did come with a tiny bit of salad and a roasted pepper which he thought was perfect. Since I was having the soup we didn't order a vegetable side, which we normally would, but this vegetable garnish worked perfectly for him. Definitely recommended!

Wow steak Crunchwrap with eggs for brunch?! Say no more!! This was definitely needed before our long 5 hours drive home! It was delicious and we ate every bite. Planned to go to Brekkies but the line was too long, no line here and we have no idea why because the menu and food were amazing! We felt lucky to have found it amongst the crowd!

Super cute place with great food. It's a Michelin recommended so we had to check it out. We ordered a few things to share. The spinach pop tart was huge and tasty. The bone marrow was delightful. The beef stroganoff was so good!!

The host was friendly and welcoming, and the space itself seemed promising. We were excited to settle in, have a drink, and check the place out. The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived, but shortly after we were seated, a larger group came in. From that point on, it felt like we were completely forgotten. The server focused on the larger party, taking drink orders and delivering beverages as more guests from their group arrived. Meanwhile, we sat waiting without any acknowledgment. Another group of ladies was seated nearby and appeared just as confused about who was helping them. We both work in the restaurant industry, so we understand that larger parties can demand attention and that things don't always go perfectly. We tried to be patient and give the team the benefit of the doubt. However, after waiting more than 15 minutes without anyone checking on us, taking a drink order, or even acknowledging our table, we decided to leave. What made the experience especially frustrating was that the restaurant wasn't busy when we arrived. We never felt welcomed beyond being shown to our table, and ultimately it felt like our business wasn't valued. Hopefully this was just an off night, because the atmosphere and concept seemed like something we would have enjoyed. We'd be willing to give it another chance, but first impressions matter, and unfortunately this one missed the mark. Sadly, it looks like we definitely missed out on the famous Bowl for Two.

Instead of reading the room, she and her May 1st bartender colleague locked into a single stream of country music that clearly wasn't resonating with most of the crowd. That's really the frustrating part, it wasn't just a music choice, it was the complete lack of awareness or willingness to adjust. People weren't being heard, requests were ignored, and the whole "records" concept felt pointless when it was treated so rigidly. If you're going to lean into vinyl as part of the experience, it should feel curated, responsive, and a little bit special, not like someone just putting on their personal playlist and tuning everyone else out. The drinks were genuinely great, which makes the situation even more disappointing. The potential is clearly there, but the execution on the atmosphere just didn't match. If the records are going to stay, they should actually be used to enhance the environment, not limit it. Otherwise, it might be better to ditch the gimmick entirely rather than let it drag down what could be an otherwise standout spot.

The Good Life is a perfect ratio of Solvang tradition with hints of romance making it ideal for a casual beverage, tourist pop-in or memorable date night drink. The latter is exactly how my boyfriend and I happened to come across The Good Life as we were visiting Solvang from Los Angeles for the city's Christmas-time Julefest. We had just spent the evening making holiday memories among the city's Christmas trees, twinkling lights and sugary delights. Post Danish-dinner, we decided to wrap up our forever-Solvang memory with a drink at The Good Life. We were immediately greeted by the male manning The Good Life without any attitude or distaste towards us for coming in as he was preparing to close for the evening. If he was upset with us in any way - he certainly didn't show it! The Good Life features an amazing menu of local and international wines, beers, ales, meads, ciders, and ports that make The Good Life feel fancy-schmancy and artisan; but also, neighborhood friendly for your favorite hipster or friend next door. My boyfriend and I shared a cider (I wish I remembered the specific one but alas my memory evades me) while enjoying the atmosphere of warmth at The Good Life. Other customers sat in the plush chairs with notepads and tarot cards, an older couple arrived to cap off the evening and I enjoyed the view of my boyfriend in a medieval-Danish inspired cellar bar. The Good Life is standout at accommodating to all customers and making sure no one feels out of place. A bountiful tip as important as the bosom of a medieval bar wench: the bathroom at The Good Life is labeled as 'Office'. Don't worry, you won't walk in on someone preparing accounting books and the only business happening behind this door involves you and your private matters. The Good Life is delightful and unique but doesn't just stop there: it also differentiates itself with a truly impressive alcohol selection that allows you to be introduced to local, national, Danish and international bevies you have surely not tried prior. The Good Life is recommended for a drink on your next trip to the tourist-friendly city of Solvang. Even if you aren't pretending to be in medieval times...

I loved this cozy hotel. Front desk staff were awesome and very helpful. The bar seemed cool but…read moredidn't offer dining options other than small bites. The pool and hot tub looked very inviting but were always busy so we didn't use it . Our room was a nice size and offered a small fridge, microwave and Keurig. No bath tub but nice shower. I liked that the shower/toilet were separated from the sink and mirror to get ready and wash up. The best thing about this place is the location and how it's walking distance to lots of restaurants, bakeries, wine tasting and shopping.

Upon checking in, we were told that the lounge & bar would be closed all weekend. This was a bummer, it is one of the reasons we booked the hotel originally. When we got to the room, the smell was awful. It smelled musty and moldy. We opened the window and turned on the air, that helped not one bit. So, we asked for a different room. They accommodated this request quickly, which was great. The hotel advertises electric vehicle charging stations. While this is true, they are NOT the fast charging ones, rather they are the type you install at your house. This means charging can take several hours. Thiscreates an annoying backlog situation - no one is going to sit around for hours while their vehicle charges. Inevitably, you go into town and return when you're ready, at which point your car is either still charging OR it has finished charging, but is now taking up a charger that might be needed. No one is going to run back to the hotel to unplug and move their car. Also, there are only two chargers and they are in the tightest, most inconvenient location in the parking lot. When I opened my trunk to put my bags in, the trunk lid HIT a large pipe running above the parking spot. They need far more chargers installed if they're going to advertise this amenity. When we returned to the hotel on our first evening, we got ZERO sleep. For one, the AC is very, very loud and goes off and on all night. On top of that, and this is what spoiled things actually, a dog in an adjoining room barked loudly ALL NIGHT LONG. It was unbearable. I called the front desk several times, and they didn't really seem to understand the gravity of the situation. They just said yea, it's very frustrating, we're trying to contact the owners, but nothing really resolved. We got no sleep and it was so frustrating. Operating on no sleep, we went out the next day to explore the town. When it got hot in the afternoon hours, we returned to the hotel to relax and get a nap in before dinner. But guess what? MORE DOG BARKING. For hours. And the same spiel from the front desk and management. So, no naps for us. It was beyond frustrating. After all that, the management offered no compensation or anything. They really didn't even address the dog barking except when I made the phone call to the front desk. It was all empty apologies and no action. All in all, it was a frustrating experience and I would hesitate to book there again.
