Awesome food, hidden gem in CP. I was pleasantly surprised to find this local Turkish spot with my bf. We had lunch on a Sunday and it was very busy. We were able to get outdoor seating. The service was on the slower side given it was Sunday afternoon but our server was friendly and gave us good recommendations. We tried a couple of apps starting with the calf liver, spicy cod dip, and garlic leek dip. So delicious. We also had the chicken and lamb shwarma to share. We were stuffed and even took leftovers home. Also byob! Will definitely be back!

The food here is very very good and full of flavor. i wish they gave a pepper and roasted tomato or onion with the mixed grill like usual mediterranean turkish places. i got mixed kebab for two and also the mixed cold mezze appetizer accompanied with bread. i also got turkish soda clear which was pretty good but finished very quickly since it's all the service was very kind and polite they gave a lot of help with what to order. they would check up on me and ask if i needed anything too! the ambiance is quite calm and nice i went during lunch and it wasn't that busy or packed. i loved the food and the overall experience i'd come back here again for sure if im in the area! can't wait to get new dishes A++

What a wonderful dining experience at this lovely Turkish Mediterranean restaurant. Freshly prepared Turkish specialties and great service.

Dining at cinar was a wonderful experience. Not often do I eat Turkish food and I found a winner here. Ordered the mix platter for two and everything was prepared perfectly. The meats were so tender and juicy. The lamb didn't have that much of a gamey taste so I enjoyed that too. I only wish that there was more veggies. Comparing the picture of the same dish we ate and other yelpers about a year ago the portion size seemed to have shrunk and they don't give you a grilled long sweet pepper anymore with it either. Not quite sure if the bread in the beginning was complimentary but we also ordered babaghanoush and there was no pita bread that compliments it. So we dipped that in the bread provided at the beginning. I never had this before and it was quite delicious - similar to hummus. Worth coming back and trying other entrees.

babaganoush was our fav. The pink dip was good and the lebni was good too They have pita bread so you can ask them for that. They make sure to cut it and warm it up which is nice Yogurt chicken- soooooo juicy. Tasted almost Italian cus the tomato sauce. Comes with fried pita bread under it. Def would order another chicken dish next time Ummm they give you a large bottled water and then they charge you $6 for it. I didn't know they would charge us. You'd think they'd tell you. I heard the table next to us say the same thing. I don't get why no one is posting about that... BYOB and service is good. Parking isn't the easiest but there are neighborhoods you can park at. Not safe when crossing so be careful

I came across the restaurant for a quick lunch. I called in my order of chicken shish with rice and salad. When I arrived I parked right in front. I walked into the restaurant and was greeted. My food was ready and I paid and left. When I dug in the chicken was very good and juicy! I also enjoyed the rice and salad with the white sauce. I definitely would return.

SMALL PORTIONS so mad. Ordered delivery look at this cold appetizer of green beans for 10.95 dollars and look at the size of the container. It's really crazy.

The food is flavorful and well cooked, so it used to be in my restaurant lineup as a bi-weekly favorite, but these guys are thieves and liars. I used to go here or order in the Lamb Shank on the weekends. However, in June of 2022 they raised the price of the Lamb Shank dish from $19.95 to $32.95 (same portion size)!!! I can appreciate a price increase due to inflation, but this is highway robbery. To add insult to injury when I called to inquire they told me that they raised the price 2 years ago, which is a complete prevarication. I have the receipts to prove it. We're lucky to have several great Turkish restaurants and markets in Bergen County so there are plenty of better options for Turkish food.

I'm glad that this restaurant stays open pretty late. I recommend it as the service was great and the food was delicious. We didn't order any appetizers so went straight into the main course. There was so much to choose from so got the Mixed Kebab Platar for 2 people. The combination of Lamb Shish, Lamb Adana Kebab, Chicken Shish, Chicken Adana and meat patties with salad. It was a great choice as we got to sample everything and I recommend this for anyone who can't decide on what they want. We were pretty full so didn't order anything else. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll have to come back for a visit.

Great authentic Turkish restaurant in cliffside park! The restaurant is very spacious, service was great and the food was delicious! There is street parking that can be a little challenging due to the busy area but we were lucky and got a spot right in front. Great restaurant for lunch and dinner!!!

Kibbeh and Fried Liver. The fried liver was awesome! Something people easily pass over but certainly shouldn't.

STUFFED GRAPE LEAVES - $14 Grape leaves stuffed with rice, pine nuts, currants, and herbs. I sampled most of the dishes and thought all of the salads were very good, although the pear slices in the Arugula & Pear Salad could have been riper. The Eggplant Salad was really more of a dip than a salad, but it had excellent flavor. The Cheese Pastries were crispy, hot and tasty. The Zucchini Pancakes were bland and would have been better with a more generous serving of the garlic yogurt sauce. Service was good for the most part, though a little spotty at times, especially when it came time to get the check. Overall, this was a solid four-star dining experience. We'd be happy to return.

Warm, cozy, and inviting, with a relaxed vibe that made it easy to settle in and linger over the meal. Appetizers We started with a cheese flatbread, boat-shaped and blistered at the edges, the interior molten and gooey with a bright basil leaf on top. Simple but done really well, crisp crust giving way to all that warm cheese. Mains The brunch dishes were the highlight. A sizzling skillet of eggs cooked over spiced sausage came out rich and savory, the yolks just set, perfect for scooping up with the basket of warm bread on the side. The tomato-based baked eggs were equally good, a deep, well-seasoned sauce with a little heat and fresh herbs on top. Comforting, generous, and full of flavor. Drinks The blackberry mocktail was a standout, refreshing and beautifully garnished with a cluster of fresh blackberries. Always great to see a thoughtful non-alcoholic option that feels like more than an afterthought. Service Attentive and warm throughout. The team kept everything moving smoothly without ever feeling rushed. Verdict Five stars. Delicious food, a cozy atmosphere, and a mocktail worth ordering on its own. Also plusses in Miriam's favor were the fact that I could easily make a reservation (they use SevenRooms) and its proximity to the Museum of Natural History. Many of the menu items looked appealing. Two of us ordered the latkes Benedict ($27) which I loved. Instead of Canadian bacon, you're served smoked salmon. And swap out the regular hollandaise for a harissa version. There was also za'atar labneh and a chopped salad with cucumbers and tomatoes on the side, also delectable. The third person ordered the traditional shakshuka ($24) which also earned acclaim. I have been twice now, once on the East Side and again last night on the West Side, and I came away both times with the same impression: that some places are content to simply be good, over and over, without announcing it. The watermelon salad is sweet and hot at the same time, feta and mint against Italian chile, and it is the right thing to have first. The schnitzel is what it ought to be. The kebab, lamb and beef together, is the thing I would order if I were only allowed one thing. The knafeh cups are better on the East Side, where the crisp kataifi is laid over the cream rather than baked into a shell around it. On the West Side you have to break into the cup before you get anywhere. On the East Side the spoon goes straight down through the crunch and into the cream, and that is the whole difference. But it is the people I keep thinking about. They are kind without performing kindness, which is harder than it sounds. Last night I watched the room work, water poured, plates cleared, dishes set down, and it was never quite the same hand doing it, and never once the wrong one. A floor moves that way only when everyone on it is paying attention to everyone else. Two visits, two neighborhoods, one restaurant. I suspect that is the point.
