The salmon platter was always my favorite until more recently. The last 3 times we've ordered, months apart, our salmon has been burnt and dry. Salmon does not need to be so dry. I understand a few char marks from the grill but this is excessive. Chef needs to switch back to how they cooked it before. Very disappointed as a local.

DO NOT EAT HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE HOSPITALIZED. I was served a fully raw hamburger. Not rare...FULLY RAW. Might as well have pulled it out of a cow and slapped it straight in between 2 buns with some toppings. Might as well be put back into a cows body and keep working as an organ. Funny it's called "fresh burger". Oh yeah definitely fresh...as if I was just served straight cow organs fresh from the body. How unattentive do you have to be to make such a mistake?! How do you forget to cook a burger?! Very scary, very dangerous place. Contacting the health department immediately.

Chicken shawarma -4.5 star! So glad I ordered this for myself, super tasty, I like the fact that they did not overload with sauces and spices, there was a slight touch of taziki sauce. Chicken gyro - 2.5 star! Husband ordered this one , he wasn't happy, I tasted and agreed it felt greasy!! He complained of a stomach ache later in the night!!

Tried the mixed platter as well as the kufta kebab platter and thought they were just OK. I liked the kufta a little more, but neither was impressive to be honest. The meats were bland and lacked flavor. I doesn't have that punch of spice that you would get at a really good halal place. Also, the meat to rice ratio was poor. Way too much rice and stingy on the meat.

Went from having an amazing flavorful sandwich to just a plain Kufta with no seasonings whatsoever and was supper dry. Even the hot sauce and white/garlic sauce doesn't help the lack of any seasonings. You do get fresh veggies and plentiful rice. When the main item lacks taste, the sides doesn't get any better.

This place was PHENOMENAL!!! I was throughly impressed with the people. The food is tasty and seasoned perfectly. I ordered a falafel wrap and it did not disappoint. I look forward to ordering again and taking it back on the plane with me. I also got the most delicious awesome red velvet cake! I can't recommend this place enough. The atmosphere was outstanding. A husband and wife! Lovely couple.

My first time here and what a satisfying meal I've had. Ordered takeout and on my way home the aroma wafting inside my car was amazing, I can almost taste it.

Like HANDS DOWN the BEST chicken and rice place in ALL of the tristate. The food is fresh, absolutely seasoned to perfection, and the slices of lamb you get I have never seen before. It's so juicy and takes you to that special place as soon as it hits your mouth. I used to be a big fan of 53rd st chicken n rice back in the day before they got corporate and when they actually cooked the food in the carts not just reheat precooked chicken. It's trash now. I've found a new halal lover... her name is Platter House. Put some respect on her name.

They make the best gyros in town! Also, they always give plenty of white sauce and are very respectful. Overall great experience.

We had to ask twice for our rice we ordered for entrees to be brought out because our server forgot. Fine, that happens. But what really threw me off was when I questioned if the mold in my cheese was normal, the server assured me it was naturally occurring for the flavor. I felt gaslit because I have never had Parmesan with such questionable green growth on it for consumption in any restaurant in my entire life. The server said if it bothered me, he'd bring out fresh shavings with no mold. I have left pictures so you can be the judge of this. Aside from my minor issue with the cheese, the ambiance of the restaurant was nice and there's plenty of choices for meat and non-meat eaters alike

We got a table right away. The menu had a variety of dishes like appetizers, soups, gyro, kebabs, pasta, pizzas, seafood, wraps and sandwiches. In drinks section, they had the Turkish coffee and tea. We started with their complementary bread, so fluffy and light, we pretty ate the whole thing before any of our dishes came. I ordered my favorite fried liver cubes from the hot apps section, and it was fantastic. It was full of flavor, perfectly sized cubes and properly fried. Tasted so good with the complimentary bread (we requested a second one). For entree we ordered the Mix Grill and Karisik Izgara as it was a perfectly sharable dish for two and we got to try 5 of their kebabs that are lamb shish, ground lamb, chicken shish, ground chicken and grilled meat patties. Both ground kebabs were excellent, full of flavors. The shish and patties were also good. We got the margarita pizza too, but that one was disappointed, seemed like some sauce was just thrown on top of the cheese and wasn't baked long enough. Our server was really friendly. She always stayed on top of things. Our dishes came out in quick time, it was impressive. Despite the shortcoming of the pizza, which is not usually a Turkish dish, I was thoroughly impressed by the actually Turkish dishes, like liver cubes and kebabs. I'll for sure visit them again whenever I feel like having kebabs next time

This place offers up fantastic Mediterranean fare and is run by some of the nicest people around. When they saw my husband eyeing a platter of an interesting dessert, they offered us both small spoonfuls to sample (I don't remember what it was called, but it was coconutty and delicious). I adored the falafel platter, which was a behemoth serving of 6 falafels, freshly made hummus, tabbouleh, and pita. The falafels were freshly fried and had a lovely sprinkle of sesame seeds. Coupled with a smooth smear of homemade hummus, my eyes were fluttering shut as I ate. My husband's side of the table went similarly silent as he dug voraciously into his mixed shawarma sandwich. He especially appreciated how they toasted the wrapper, which was more like a lavash than a pita. Before we left, we got a baba ghanoush to go. Our jaws dropped when we saw the serving size. We're so used to getting tiny containers from other spots that this giant aluminum platter of eggplant spread - complete with a little pool of fresh olive oil drizzle and stack of warmed pita - had us stilled with shock. We appreciated the sides and variety of sauces that came with our meal. The small cups of mayo, tzatziki, and spicy sauce, along with olives, pepperocinis, and pickled radishes, really helped complete our meal. These small and thoughtful touches made this meal feel more like eating in someone's home kitchen rather than a restaurant. On that note - know that everything is made from scratch and to order, which means the food will take a little longer than you might expect from a fast casual spot. This sweet gem is located on a random street in Hackensack, and a bit hard to find if you're not looking for it because there isn't much to draw attention to it. There's a small parking lot right in front of the restaurant, making it easy to drop in for a quick meal or to-go order.

Either find on the street nearby to walk or in the very tiny space in the front (to which good luck if you try to back out). However, that said the food more than makes up for it. Extremely fresh food made from scratch, you can tell the quality is there looking at the kitchen. This is also the only place to this day that I've found in the area that serves hot grape leaves, which are my favorite item on the menu, most mediterranean spots only make them cold. Their platters are also very filling and solid portion size. If you prefer to go lighter, there are also sandwich options with or without fries. Seating is very small, so takeout is their main business though you could certainly dine in if you'd like. Service has always been solid, the owner is very friendly! I'll keep coming back despite the tricky parking.

Insofar as the roti resembled the buttery, flaky layers of a white roti, this was a pleasant order. The roti here are made with whole wheat, which made for a grittier texture that felt...healthy, for all the good and bad of that word. But they were sufficiently buttery, which always helps things. And minor quibbles aside, this was still a fantastic vessel to scoop out every last smear of the tikka masala sauce. Clearly, we liked the chicken tikka masala. With a fragrant, velvety sauce and large chunks of tender chicken, after a few bites of this dish, I found myself announcing to the table, "I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't like Indian food." The chana masala - our other entree - was a little more muted and tomato-forward, but still fantastic. It feels strange to leave praise for rice, but judging from the sheen at the bottom of our rice dish, I suspect they melted and mixed some butter to it (which, again, no complaints here). Service was chill on a Sunday afternoon. Beyond taking our order and dropping off our food, we weren't bothered during our meal (which is the just-right level of attention I generally want from a place).
