We came here for Sunday lunch. It seemed to be a new Turkish restaurant, very pretty inside with modern interior, beautiful arts and decors, and a small bar area. We got a table right away. The menu had a variety of dishes like appetizers, soups, gyro, kebabs, pasta, pizzas, seafood, wraps and sandwiches. In drinks section, they had the Turkish coffee and tea. We started with their complementary bread, so fluffy and light, we pretty ate the whole thing before any of our dishes came. I ordered my favorite fried liver cubes from the hot apps section, and it was fantastic. It was full of flavor, perfectly sized cubes and properly fried. Tasted so good with the complimentary bread (we requested a second one). For entree we ordered the Mix Grill and Karisik Izgara as it was a perfectly sharable dish for two and we got to try 5 of their kebabs that are lamb shish, ground lamb, chicken shish, ground chicken and grilled meat patties. Both ground kebabs were excellent, full of flavors. The shish and patties were also good. We got the margarita pizza too, but that one was disappointed, seemed like some sauce was just thrown on top of the cheese and wasn't baked long enough. Our server was really friendly. She always stayed on top of things. Our dishes came out in quick time, it was impressive. Despite the shortcoming of the pizza, which is not usually a Turkish dish, I was thoroughly impressed by the actually Turkish dishes, like liver cubes and kebabs. I'll for sure visit them again whenever I feel like having kebabs next time

Great Turkish and Mediterranean dishes at Englewood downtown. Nice and cozy decorations. Medium size dinning area. Reservation is recommend. Complimentary bread is fluffy. Nice texture. Definitely love the mix kabab platter. Chicken, lamb, beef are all juicy and tender. Babaganush (smashed eggplant with other ingredients) is really good. I dipped the bread in it too. Pizza I feel it's undercooked. The dough could definitely use more time in the oven. Overall a good place for dine in and take out. Great addition to Englewood neighborhood.

Attentive and kind service with delicious food! The bread and oil/condiment they serve as complimentary was addicting and perfect to get our appetites started. The bread was chewy and also had some thinner crispier sides to it that made it so addicting. We shared the Greek Salad which was a plentiful serving, with generous blocks of feta cheese and crunchy bites of lettuce, red onion, large cucumber blocks, and of course some Kalamata olives. I got the Lahmacun which is the first time I've had this dish - it was savory and I liked having it with the oil/condiment they served as a starter. The portions are generous so we packed some leftovers, which they packed and bagged for us. Can't wait to come again!

Stopped in before seeing a show at the Bergen Pac and it's very good. No alcohol other than bottles of wine only. Plenty of seating and inside is very modern looking upper class looking. The pita/bread they give you to start is soo good. The food is very good I ordered the falafel appetizer and it was amazing, the fry on it was perfect nice and crunchy with a soft warm inside. The lamb was cooked perfect super soft and tender with great flavor. The food came out fast and was excellent. Server was pleasant.

Food arrived very fresh and within 15min and always checking on us. We enjoyed the fresh bolan bread with the dipping oil, kebabs and eggplant salad was all excellent and flavorful. Great indoor ambience with Turkish touches.

Had an absolutely wonderful dining experience last night. Everything we ordered was delicious. The server- well, he was excellent! They are byob so he immediately put our wine into an ice bucket and brought wine glasses. We had the mixed dips and everyone should try this! Just amazing and fresh! We tried lahmacun for the first time and it was very good. Thanks again to our server for telling us how it is eaten with the items rolled in. Finished with chicken kabobs- tender and seasoned perfectly, and came with rice and salad. The ambiance of the space is cozy and quite beautiful. Great dining experience and we would definitely return.

With seating for forty indoors and another eight outdoors, weather permitting, this establishment brings rustic elegance located on W Palisade Avenue to downtown Englewood, where my partner, our friends and I decided on an early dinner as first-timers yesterday before a show at the nearby Bergen PAC. Known as one of the three largest and most important cities of the Greco-Roman world, Antioch provides authentic dishes from the various regional cuisines of the Mediterranean, particularly Turkish. Upon arrival, the restaurant offers a cozy yet modern vibe that feels both welcoming and elegant where we were seated immediately. The lighting is just dim enough to set the mood but bright enough to read the menu without straining one's eyes. As a starter, we decided on the Sigara Borek. For our main meal, we opted for Turkish Meatballs (Kofte Kebab), Chicken Gyro Plate, Lamb Shish Kebab, and Vegi Pizza. Complimentary huge balloon bread (Balon lavaş) started our meal but once it's cooled, it was hard like a cracker. The food was fresh, well-executed with a unique blend of traditional and contemporary flavors, and delicious. Every dish we tried and tasted had been cooked with the utmost care, authentic, and the presentation was amazing. Some of us had room for dessert ordered the Kunefe while the gracious staff has offered us to share their size-able baklava. The servers were friendly and professional, and they're always willing to go the extra mile to make sure your experience is perfect. We exchanged words with our server, Fadime and her manager/owner. Prices were very fair, and portions generous. We can recommend this restaurant to everyone out there who loves food just as much as we do and won't be disappointed.

Its been on my list, i wanted to love this, but maybe it's just not for me. But it was also pretty pricey or I got overcharged.. Well first we walk in at like 5pm and there was only one couple in there. The hostess asked if we have reservation which we didn't and at first seemed like a problem, so she told us to sit at the front table in front of the door. It's fine but then more patrons come through the next hour with the same question but they get seated in booths with no issues. It's fine. Asked the waiter what to try since it's our first time and we usually get calamari. He pushes the trio appetizer which comes with hummus, baba ganoush and another spread which is $29. Came out quickly but didn't come with any bread so we asked for some and out came out this big puffy pita. Its big but it's mostly air so we ran out of pita pretty quickly and asked for another. My wife ordered chicken souvlaki and I had the lamb gyro pita sandwich. The souvlaki was ok, but the gyro was wrapped up in a lot of pita, but so small it barely was the size of my palm. The gyro meat itself was meh, dry and not really tasty. Bill came. How is this $150? They charged us for the two pitas. I am already meh about this so I pay it all and leave but to not give complimentary bread or pita with the trio seems really bizarre. Its like charging for the chips when you order guac.. I don't know this was an odd experience. *EDIT* 12/4/24 9:17PM Owner reached out to me late last night and asked for proof. Unfortunately for the both of us, this visit was over the summer and I am just getting around to writing a review. I paid cash (I even checked my credit card receipts), but here are the pictures as of proof of my visit. I understand the owner's sentiment, but I don't expect any special privileges as Yelp Elite and I'm glad you are taking this feedback seriously. Yelp was designed to be open to all forms of feedback & where people can share their experiences. I whole-heartedly enjoy giving positive reviews, check my history. That was our experience when we visited and it's unfortunate.

What an incredible evening at this beautifully decorated Turkish cuisine in Englewood. The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. It was a Monday evening so certainly not much traffic and getting a table was not an issue. But I highly suggest making a reservation if you're planning to be here between Thursday and Sunday. I started off with their freshly baked bread with some homemade olive oil vinaigrette dip. I decided to order the combo which allows you to pick any two kebabs. I went with the lamb kebab and the chicken kebab. It was absolutely scrumptious. I then decided to end the meal with a nice baklava and tea. The baklavas are homemade so they're also very fresh. As a bonus, they included a nice scoop of dark chocolate ice cream which was the perfect touch. In summary, I cannot wait to come back to this lovely cuisine. If you're passing by here, definitely give them a try. You won't be disappointed

8/15/24 Wanted something different. Came for Turkish Mediterranean Cuisine. Service was excellent. Food was delicious. Ballon Bread was fun but once it cooled it was hard like a cracker.... Smaller size for 2 people would make it less wasteful. The dipping sauce was so good that I wished we had soft warm pita instead. Octopus was tender and so flavorful. We loved! :D Dorado is a tender moist flaky fish. Less bones than bronzino makes it easier to eat. Wonderfully seasoned and then grilled. Shrimp Casserole was not what I expected. It was more like Escabèche than Casserole. Regardless it was delicious, in a tomato based sauce. It came with Pilaf, which was a good. It's been a long time since we had good pilaf, most places make it too soggy. The only thing that didn't work out was the yogurt drink and that was more our own fault for trying it. LOL. We're always willing to try things we never had. Sweet yogurt drink we know and love. Salty was a no for us. I feel like this is something you grew up with or you wouldn't be able to acquire a taste for... Definitely will return for other items on the menu.

Puffed hallow bread with delicious, tasty sauce to start

Turkish BYOB with a modern vibe, attentive service. They had smiles and were very happy we had joined them. The food was delicious.. It was four of us... I am a falafel fan, so is my friend and we each got the Falafel Platter - it was fresh and flavorful. The Lahmacun was not even a second thought for the 3rd person in our group, and he didn't even have to look at the menu. Then the Adana sandwich was enjoyed on really cool bread. Oh! We got a puffed bread to start that was something we had never seen and we enjoyed it with the tasty sauce on the side. It is a nice casual place with good food & service and reasonable prices (and we love BYOB).... Will return!

Falafel Plate. Restaurant did not give us any rice!!

ATMOSPHERE (5/5) - Clean, no non-sense vibe that leans utilitarian but hey, you're here for quick bite! 2. FOOD (5/5) - Chicken was juicy, well-seasoned (not too salty!) with right amount of heat (I ordered medium spicy and taste was bolder and better vs. wife's mild which felt a bit bland) and their pickle gave a nice counterbalance. Fries were slightly "old" but full of potato flavor with that peanut oil, and the rice, the RICE in my bowl... together with the mild coleslaw (not too sweet, heavy-sauced, or acidic) was just... making symphony in my mouth. It was seriously delicious... rice... like what?! It had like that subtle halal flavor, gentle bite, and carried sauce well. So while I thought I'd never say this, I enjoyed the rice platter version of the Nashville hot chicken over the sandwich version. Sandwich version was ever so slightly dry in comparison as well. 3. SERVICE (4/5) - Only docking point because it took a bit long (15 min) for this type of food, but my man at the counter was very nice and hooked me up with free soda. He also mentioned royalty program which I misheard as telling me to pick any beverage (wife told me later), which was a nice touch. (Sorry, I wasn't trying to be rude!) All in all with leftover to spare for next lunch, this was a surprisingly great meal. I'll definitely be back to try the smashed burgers! I never knew they were here though the guy told me they've been here for a few years at least... Well, now I know! Unfortunately, after my last two visits, I won't be coming back because of the extremely poor service from one particular server MALE with glasses in his late 40s-50s. My family of four (2 adults and 2 kids) ordered the Koobideh and Soltani plates. Every single time we've dined here over the years, we've had our onions grilled without any issue. This time, the server insisted that onions are only supposed to be served raw and told us that if we wanted them grilled, we had to order and pay extra. We paid the extra charge without arguing, but the way he spoke to us was rude, condescending, and unprofessional. This was actually the second time we had this same experience with him. When the bill arrived, we noticed an 18% service charge had been added. The server said it was the restaurant's policy for parties of four. This was surprising because we've been coming here for years with the same party size, have never been charged a service fee before, and have always tipped generously. I politely asked whether this was a new policy and requested to see the menu to verify that the service charge was disclosed. Instead of answering, the server told me, "Pay first with the service charge, and then I'll show you the menu." He also implied that he wanted me to sign the receipt first to make sure he secured the service charge because he thought we wouldn't tip him. After leaving, I called the restaurant to speak with the manager, but the same server answered and claimed no manager was available. When I questioned the undisclosed 18% service charge, he repeated that it was restaurant policy for tables of four. I explained that I had never been charged this before and that, as far as I understood, mandatory service charges should be clearly disclosed on the menu. His response was, "Well, you already signed it, so it's not your money anymore." That response was shocking and completely unprofessional. I would have gladly paid the service charge--and even tipped extra--if the service had been friendly and respectful. Instead, the entire experience felt hostile and dishonest. When I asked for the manager's name, the server hung up on me and told me not to call the restaurant back. I've been a loyal customer for years, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I hope the restaurant addresses both the customer service issues and the lack of transparency regarding mandatory service charges.
