Chicken Breast Kabob

Outstanding food and extremely nice staff !! Authenticity at its peak! Tried this place a few years ago and realized they opened another branch. The outdoor seating was very relaxing and felt nice to be able to finally eat outdoors. Will be bringing my friends and family here very very soon!

Food is not bad, but it's very expensive overpriced. They need to consider about the prices

The menu had a variety of dishes like appetizers, soups, gyro, kebabs, pasta, pizzas, seafood, wraps and sandwiches. In drinks section, they had the Turkish coffee and tea. We started with their complementary bread, so fluffy and light, we pretty ate the whole thing before any of our dishes came. I ordered my favorite fried liver cubes from the hot apps section, and it was fantastic. It was full of flavor, perfectly sized cubes and properly fried. Tasted so good with the complimentary bread (we requested a second one). For entree we ordered the Mix Grill and Karisik Izgara as it was a perfectly sharable dish for two and we got to try 5 of their kebabs that are lamb shish, ground lamb, chicken shish, ground chicken and grilled meat patties. Both ground kebabs were excellent, full of flavors. The shish and patties were also good. We got the margarita pizza too, but that one was disappointed, seemed like some sauce was just thrown on top of the cheese and wasn't baked long enough. Our server was really friendly. She always stayed on top of things. Our dishes came out in quick time, it was impressive. Despite the shortcoming of the pizza, which is not usually a Turkish dish, I was thoroughly impressed by the actually Turkish dishes, like liver cubes and kebabs. I'll for sure visit them again whenever I feel like having kebabs next time

We had to ask twice for our rice we ordered for entrees to be brought out because our server forgot. Fine, that happens. But what really threw me off was when I questioned if the mold in my cheese was normal, the server assured me it was naturally occurring for the flavor. I felt gaslit because I have never had Parmesan with such questionable green growth on it for consumption in any restaurant in my entire life. The server said if it bothered me, he'd bring out fresh shavings with no mold. I have left pictures so you can be the judge of this. Aside from my minor issue with the cheese, the ambiance of the restaurant was nice and there's plenty of choices for meat and non-meat eaters alike

The menu is simple, but covers everything we love. Server came by with warm, fresh, fluffy seasoned pita and a dish of seasoned olive oil. Great start. Started with Cheese Borek and Fried Liver cubes -- The Borek was the best we have had and we order that anytime we dine Mediterrean. The 4 Borek were fat, fried to perfection, and their filling of Feta and spinach was hot, melty and super tasty. We love love Fried Liver, and Lulu does it to perfection. The portion was huge, and dressed with red onion and lemon juice, it sang. We decided to split an order of Manti, those delightful tiny lamb dumplings tossed with burnt butter and garlic yogurt -- holy holy. We ran some liver around that sauce, and were glad we saved some of the bread to sop everything up. So good. Ordered the Kunefe, as we always do. It takes about 15 minutes to get to the table -- so if you are thinking about it, order it before they take your dinner plates away. The Kunefe was good. We think they forgot to add to the syrup it comes in -- but maybe that's the way they do it. It won't disappoint, but I missed that rosewater sugar syrup we are used to. Different places, different recipes. In all, Lulu did not disappoint and we look forward to visiting again. Go, go go. And tip your servers well.

The lamb was fine. They did apologize and made it right eventually but I will say there needs to be some additional staff training about allergens, specifically cross contact.

This is a really good Greek restaurant with a fun, lively atmosphere. We ordered a variety of dishes mix between seafood, chicken and steak, and everything was very good. The portions were decently sized just enough to leave you full, but not quite enough for leftovers. We ordered a bottle and asked the waiter separately if it could come out with sparklers. There was a slight off vibe at first and some slight attitude but as the night went on, the sever became much friendlier and attentive. The music throughout dinner was great, and some Middle Eastern songs came on that were actually really fun to dance to. After we ate, the energy picked up even more and we were able to get up and start dancing. This is definitely a perfect birthday spot if you want a mix of good food and a fun night out. Overall, we had an amazing time, great vibes and great music.

All of us were here for the first time and we asked if the appetizer sampler would be good fit and we're so glad we ordered it! It's a little bit of everything with plenty to go around (in fact, we didn't even fully finish it). Such a fresh and tasty way to start off the meal. For entrees we all ordered something different ranging from chicken kebabs, schnitzel, beef kebabs, and even the shawarma platter (which is what I ordered). All hits! We were too full at the end but they did have a small dessert menu. Definitely would come back to try something else next time!

4.5 stars Zula Grill…read morehad been on my list for a while, and it had apparently been on my brother's as well. So, when he recently suggested driving a good deal out of the way in order to sample their food for a takeout dinner, I still agreed. As he drove, I called to place our order for a large family gathering, and the woman on the phone did not miss a beat. She captured all of our requested items and customizations, ensuring that our meal arrived as expected. I should note that Zula required pre-payment for large orders to make sure that the food was collected. Agreeing to the lengthy excursion was not without its challenges, namely having to drive back with the heavenly food smells tantalizing us throughout the entire journey. When we arrived back at the house, other folks were still chatting, but I tore into the bag and tried to hand out the meals as quickly as I could in order to then indulge myself. My Chicken Breast Platter included the choice of two side dishes, one pita, and a small cup of tahini. In terms of the poultry, the two breasts were on the smaller size, but were lean, thinly-sliced, well-grilled, and flavorful. For the first side dish, I had the Israeli Salad, which was fresh, bright, and, thankfully, not too oniony. Secondly, the Moroccan carrots were a bit oily, but offered a nice heat and spice level. The fluffy pita was soft, gooey, and melt in your mouth tasty. In terms of the tahini, I opted for the standard variety, rather than the tahini amba with pickled mango. The traditional version was rich, thick, and acted as a great topping for the chicken and the pita. Lastly, I shared some of the large quart of Hummus, which was creamy, well-seasoned, and simply delicious. In fact, someone at the table thought it might have even been the best they had ever had, and I agree that it was certainly close! Everyone adored their menu items from Zula Grill, and we all agreed that we would definitely order from there again.

My group ordered several appetizers, including the hummus sampler and the octopus. For the main dishes, everyone ordered either the skirt steak, branzino, or the chicken skewers. Even though we were one of the first and only tables when we arrived, the service was a bit slow and we had to get the waiter's attention a few times. This was not enough to lose any stars. The menu is tantalizing and there's plenty of familiar favorites along with a few new-to-me items that the server readily described when I asked questions. This time, I tried the pargiot sandwich. I had no previous conception of 'pargiot' but another reviewer had sung praises about this wonderfully marinated chicken thigh meat. Having tried it, I'm not convinced it's blow-your-mind good, but it was decently flavorful and tender. You can customize the salad type that goes in your sandwich, and I chose the Israeli salad, a blend of tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions. Mine felt a touch overstuffed since it was harder to taste the chicken and made my pita soggy quicker than I would have thought, but it's hard for me to ding points for generous servings. Our server checked in on us regularly and even thought to inquire about any sesame allergies before setting down the tahini dip that comes with the welcome platter of bread. As the restaurant got full and our visit came up against a reservation, I appreciated how respectfully he asked for the table. Speaking of reservations, it might be a good idea to make one for your visit, especially if you're thinking of coming for dinner. My friend and I came on a random Tuesday afternoon and this space completely filled up. There are also some outside tables available for possible spillover seating, but if your heart is set on coming here, call ahead. Parking in Englewood is always tough, especially come mealtimes because there are so many restaurants here. Make sure you come laden with quarters for the older parking meters or have the ParkMobile app ready for the spots that allow mobile payment.

I only tried Elite Hummus Platter, which is a decent-sized bowl of just hummus with your meat of choice. I chose shawarma ($18.95). Their hummus had a weird texture, smell, and taste to it, so I barely ate any of it. I usually love to take leftovers home, but I didn't want to take it home. The waiter didn't say anything when I mentioned that the food wasn't good. Just simply took the hummus and threw it out. I guess my feedback was futile. This place is pretty busy, so if you still plan to go, make reservations or else you'll be turned away or have to wait.
