Upon arrival for some of us as first-timers, this BYOB establishment offered a cozy yet modern vibe that felt both welcoming and elegant where we were seated immediately. The dim lighting sets the perfect mood. A well-balanced menu features plenty of choices for everyone. We decided on Antioch House Falafel, Turkish Meatball, Chicken Gyro Plate, and Classic Fettuccine. We began our meal with complimentary huge balloon bread (Balon lavaş), but it became hard like a cracker once it cooled. Started with Cheese Borek and Fried Liver cubes -- The Borek was the best we have had and we order that anytime we dine Mediterrean. The 4 Borek were fat, fried to perfection, and their filling of Feta and spinach was hot, melty and super tasty. We love love Fried Liver, and Lulu does it to perfection. We decided to split an order of Manti, those delightful tiny lamb dumplings tossed with burnt butter and garlic yogurt -- holy holy. It takes about 15 minutes to get to the table -- so if you are thinking about it, order it before they take your dinner plates away. The Kunefe was good. When our actual driver arrived, there was no food left to pick up. Instead of taking responsibility or trying to fix the situation, the restaurant blamed us and told us we would have to place ANOTHER order so they could get paid again. How is it the customer's responsibility when the restaurant handed the order to the wrong person? We asked to speak with a manager and were told there was no manager available. We asked them to contact Uber Eats, and they claimed they had no way to contact Uber either. Meanwhile, my wife is 9 months pregnant, we're waiting for our dinner, and instead of showing even a little understanding or trying to find a solution, they basically told us to pay again for their mistake. Absolutely unacceptable customer service. Mistakes happen, but the way you handle them says everything about a business. We will not be ordering from here again.
