This place was clean and inviting with a warm welcome. Service was excellent and they explained the dishes to us. Food was very good and plenty to go around. Probably ordered too much didn't realize how big the portions were. Came in for lunch and it wasn't too busy thankfully

Came here for a larger family dinner and everything was top notch. We tried the hummus, traditional Kashk bademjoon and kashk bademjoon. The panir sabzi platter was also delicious and fresh. The tahdig topped with ghormeh sabzi was the table favorite over the gheymeh. Everyone ordered kebab- I had the barg, very flavorful and cooked perfectly. The service was great, especially for a larger group. Overall positive experience, will be back!

Delicious food and wonderful service. All the dishes were flavorful and portions were large. Loved the grilled veggie option instead of rice. Standard restaurant atmosphere.

After being away for a while, I recently visited your Ridgewood location for lunch, as well as another restaurant just across the train tracks. I noticed that your lunch menu prices are now the same as your dinner prices (please see the attached picture). In comparison, the other restaurant offers prices about 25% lower for lunch and even includes a soda. While I recognize and appreciate that your service and venue are superior, for a quick lunch this difference can be significant. Since I truly enjoy your restaurant, I wanted to suggest reconsidering and perhaps reinstating the previous lunch pricing, where it was set lower than dinner. I believe this could help attract more lunchtime guests while still maintaining your excellent reputation. Thank you for considering this feedback, and I look forward to visiting again soon. Update: I understand you have ONLY ONE location. In comparison i was referring to another Persian restaurant other side of the train station. I want to make sure, my points came across that there is NO LUNCH menu, but only ONE menu for lunch, dinner and take out.

Everything is delicious here, and the service is excellent! The complimentary pita is warm and toasty, and I'd recommend saving some for your meal. I had the stuffed grape leaves for an appetizer, and they were stuffed! I ordered the beef kebab, and it was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The pickled vegetable that came with my meal was one of my favorite parts. The servers are very attentive and helpful and are willing to explain any menu items to you. Street parking only.

Ordered three dishes today, all of which I enjoyed and would order again: Hummus - still delicious! Sambuseh - these are similar to simosa (which usually are filled with potato) but these are filled with tasty chickpea mash --seems healthier to me! Kash-k-Bademjan - hot eggplant dish that I enjoyed stuffed into the flat, thin bread they provided. Very tasty, not spicy; complex flavors; I highly recommend you try this.

Chicken Koobideh kabob and rice. YUM!

I always write that I tend not to give five star reviews the first time I go to a new restaurant, but I'm making an exception with Pardis! Three of us went; we started off sharing the Mediterranean salad, which we're glad we shared because it's HUGE. And it was excellent. My two friends each got seafood (I'm allergic, so couldn't partake) -- one got the shrimp kabob, and the other the salmon kabob. Both loved what they ordered. I got the chicken koobideh -- holy! It was beyond delicious -- also very large and filling. I was able to eat one of the kabobs and took the other home with the rest of the rice. (The rice was also SO GOOD). We didn't have room for dessert -- so we ordered something anyway. :) A delicious tartufo that was a perfect shareable sweet at the end of a savory meal. The servers were awesome -- very personable and funny, and made great recommendations for us. Also, even on a weeknight we made a reservation; when we arrived, we were among the first and wondered why we made reservation. By the time we left, the place was packed -- and with good reason! So definitely recommend reservations.

Great intimate environment for friendly or romantic dates. I met up with a few friends and brought some wine as Pardis is BYOB! We shared several appetizers including salad, stew, and others. All pretty good! We also had kebab plates and wraps. We found that the portions are huge; be prepared to take some home! Several wait staff checking in and replenishing drinks.

So deserving of 5 stars. The most standout items on the menu were the albaloo polo - basmati rice mixed with sweet and sour cherries - and the saffron ice cream (the best I've had to date) for dessert. I came with a large group for lunch and had the lamb chops as my main meal - which were so tender and fell off the bone - and they came with basmati rice and grilled vegetables that were wonderfully cooked and not too salty, which is what I find a lot of restaurants get wrong! We also shared the dolmeh (grape leaves) as an appetizer which were lovely. The staff is so sweet and were so accommodating to our large party and the space is clean and classy. There wasn't a single thing I didn't enjoy about the meal, thank you so much, Pardis!

The stuffed feta dates were the good balance of sweet and savory, and the eggplant dip was incredibly smooth and rich without feeling heavy. A little extra seasoning could go a long way with the dip! For mains, the salmon was beautifully cooked and well-seasoned, and the lamb shank was a standout--tender, deeply flavorful, and comforting in the best way. The falafel had a great crisp on the outside while staying soft inside. You can really tell they put care into each dish. What made the night extra special was the birthday surprise: the sweetest baklava presentation that felt so warm and personal. It was such a thoughtful touch. We also ended the night with cappuccinos, hot chocolate, and an affogato (not pictured), which were the perfect cozy finish. Overall, Shiraz Kitchen strikes a great balance between elevated and welcoming. It's the kind of place that feels just as right for a celebration as it does for a relaxed dinner. Would absolutely come back.

My friend and I found this spot nearby in North Jersey, and we had to give it a try. We stoped in on a Friday evening to a fairly busy restaurant. The owner acknowledged and greeted us immediately. The dining style is pretty casual where customers can sit at any open table. We were very glad to find Tahdig on the menu, since my friend had been wanting to try it for a while. The owner took our appetizer and entree orders promptly after bringing over some fresh bread. He was the only employee waiting all of the tables, and he did managed to provide excellent service. Our Tahdig came out first, topped with our choice of Gheimeh (beef and split pea stewed in tomato sauce). This my first time trying stew on top of Tahdig, and I was surprised at how well it complemented the dish. The crispy rice was cooked to perfection as well; the Tahdig far exceeded our expectations. The entrees came out shortly after the appetizer. My friend and I both ordered the Kabob Soltani, which comes with one skewer of Beef Kabob and one of Koobideh. Every component of the meal was perfect. The meat was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The Saffron Basmati came very close to what I've had on the West Coast. Even the salad veggies were perfectly fresh and crispy. We had an exceptional dining experience with excellent food quality and great service. Even though Kabob On The Cliff is quite a drive for both me and my friend, we'll definitely be back soon.

The food - delicious, packed with flavor. My kids were baffled how proteins they're used to eating (beef, chicken) could taste so differently thanks to unique spices and whatnot. The meal came to about $20 per person (no drinks, just the entrée) and while the 'Kabob Koobideh' was a generous portion, the falafel sandwich (for $15) is wildly overpriced (it's about $10 from Greek Town right across the street, never mind about $8 from Mamoun's just about two minutes away over on Rt. 17N). Happy to have tried it, would come back (while grumbling about the cost under my breath because I'm a crabby old man).

The saffron rice recommended alongside it was nice and subtly flavored with saffron and rose. The cardamom rose cake was incredible for dessert. The cake was moist and not too sweet, full of floral flavor from the cardamom. It's topped with a sour yogurt cream and orange marmalade, which was a great complement. To drink, I ordered the Tehrani Mule; a take on the moscow with a house made ginger lime juice. 8/10; a tad watery. We decided to go family style with ordering and chose the mediterranean salad, kotlet, and falafel to start. The falafel was perfectly crisp with a slightly smoky outer crust that added really great texture and flavor. A bit dry tho -- Needed the hummus and Mezze Platter to dress it up a little. Salad was refreshing, crispy and a great palette cleanser across the table. The combo platter + mixed rice was fabulous. Chicken was tender and came right off the bone (something I'm new to but it was good!). It came with a side of tzatziki and persian zhoug (?) - a minty and herby chutney that just added another layer to the aromatics of the dish. Although the rice was great, it was a really large portion even for the group of 5. It would've been nice to have the option to split to a half portion of vegetables or different grain to balance quantity. Overall 8.9/10 - Definitely worth a visit with a group for business dinner or catching up on a friend's night out.
