Best Persian food around! This spot is hands down the best, consistently amazing and never disappoints. The decor is beautiful, service is great and it's a byob! Everything is delicious and has so much flavor but our standout dishes are... Fesenjun Stew -pomegranate and walnut flavored chicken stew Zedish Polo-rice with berries cooked in sugar and butter Chicken Kabob Filet Mignon Kabob Tadig which is a crispy rice Yogurt with cucumber Eggplant dip And don't forget the Persian icecream! They also have freshly baked bread that is made on-site daily, and you can taste the difference! Looking for takeout? This food travels very well. We've also used them for catering, and it's always a hit. This restaurant continues to set the bar for Persian food, and it's a go-to for anyone craving an authentic meal! Highly recommended! The restaurant is clean, modern and spacious. A+ service! The food was delicious. I ordered chicken kabob with rice and for dessert I ordered tea with Persian baklava (not in photo). Everything was perfect here. Highly recommend!

Rose is a place you must visit if you are near the Ridgewood area. The service is excellent and friendly. The ambience is romantic and the restaurant is exceptionally clean. The food is the best Mediterranean/ Persian food in the area. The lamb shank was my favorite part of the menu.

Hummus and Dolmeh

We had been wanting to try Rose since it opened. We went today and had their amazingly priced lunch specials. My friend had to beef stew and I had the chicken wrap. Both were amazing. The hummus is the best I've had in New Jersey. So good. Not gritty. The falafel which they made for us when we asked, not on their lunch special, was outstanding. I love falafel and I will be getting these again. Not pictured because we ate it too fast was the complimentary light white cake. So amazing. I didn't even realize I had more room left, but we finished it. I am excited for them to be here. Sam was our waiter and he was sweet, attentive and informative. We did not meet the owner, Said, who is also the chef, but I hope he reads this. We had a wonderful lunch and look forward to coming back.

Hidden gem. This is a Persian restaurant and it has such a homey vibe. The food is consistently good, the servers are always nice, and this place is never crowded. The chicken is well seasoned and juicy. The rice is so light. When I leave I'm always full but not to the point I need to take a nap. If you are in the area give this place a try.

Feast! Food delicious, beautiful decor, service attentive and friendly. Tender roasted meats, gorgeous spices include fenugreek, dried mint and sumac(also served in a shaker on the table) The lamb chops were marinated well and tender. The chicken was also no knife required. Looking for something out of the norm...recommend!

Rose Persian Restaurant is a delight for the palate. Reading the menu you get the feeling of being in an exotic land far away. The names of the dishes are interesting and the mix of ingredients and spices are even more fun. I went with someone who has been to Rose many times, so they were able to guide me to their favorites. The restaurant is simply adorned with crystal chandeliers, white table cloths and purple curtains. You just know the restaurant is not owned by native Americans, but rather by a lovely couple straight from the native homeland of Iran. They have been in the United States for 21 years now. So it's authentic! They have a large parking lot in the back. Our appetizer was a blend of eggplant, onions, garlic, mint and walnuts that you too with a lemony yogurt and powdered sumac. The combination of flavors explode in your mouth, so interesting. The chicken kebab too was seasoned to perfection. We also tried the koofteh. It was a tasty combination of ground beef, rice, fresh herbs, egg, yellow spit peas, tomato paste, plums and sautéed onions. Sweet and savory! I would love to go back and try more appetizers and entrees to tickle my palate. We had so much fun in this unique restaurant and the owner was thrilled to watch us enjoy her native, home cooked food.

We placed a $330 takeout order and were given a pickup time. When I arrived, the place was about 70% full and completely chaotic. You could feel it right away. A young server, clearly his first day, was trying his best, but there wasn't enough support. The owner was yelling at him and another waitress instead of managing the situation. Customers were getting up and leaving, others were frustrated and waiting with no direction. This wasn't a staffing issue alone, it was a leadership issue. No organization, no control of the front end, and blame being pushed onto employees instead of stepping in and running the room. We ended up waiting an hour and a half past the promised pickup time. When the food finally came out, I asked if everything was there, and got a quick, dismissive "yes." Got home and realized nearly half the order was missing. Called multiple times, no answer. I don't write reviews like this, but this was easily the worst takeout experience we've had anywhere. And judging by what I saw, we weren't the only ones. It's a shame, because the food has been good. But if they don't fix how this place is run, they're going to lose customers fast.

Only a 5ish minute drive to and fro so food was still nice and hot when it got home. The halal Gyro platter was filled to the brim with rice, salad, and gyro meat with a nice amount of white sauce. I always need extra white sauce and that was provided. Very good taste and very hearty. Gyro meat was in small chunks not strips like some places do. My son had the combo platter of ckn and gyro meat...he added hot sauce as shown in picture and he loved it. Both platter's came with 1/2 piece of pita... with so much to the platter it really deserves a full piece of pita for each one. I also ordered the 5 piece wings which I give a 10 out of 10 they were super crunchy, juicy and large. We had the buffalo sauce on the side and it was a perfect buffalo sauce not too hot not too sweet... just perfect. Would order these again and also order for a party platter they were that good!! Great place that's quick and easy to get to and the prices are great too the platters were buy 2 get 1 50%off ($12.99 for a platter) so great pricing also. Perfect hidden gem in Wyckoff!!

I ordered the mango shrimp with mixed Chinese vegetables from the healthy menu, and the shrimp were perfectly cooked--fresh, tender, and served in a light, delicious sauce. Dress pants, dress shoes and light blue polo. Totally appropriate. They told me that they didn't have any coffee. At first this was just weird (the place was virtually empty, and it is a CAFE). I asked if I could use the bathroom, and the lady looked me up and down. Her eyes locked on my rainbow necklace, and she said "you can go across the street." I thought she had to kidding, but as I looked at her I saw an expression that held mild disgust for me on her face. "Public restroom across the street" ( which there isn't...she was directing me to the stop and shop across the street, another business). I couldn't help but understand and feel what she was saying as: We don't want people like you here. Go where you belong. As I walked out I couldn't help but notice the sign they display that says "Ridgewood, There is No Place Like Home." I can't believe this exists in 2025 Ridgewood.

The gentleman asked me if I wanted "white sauce" on my Gyro. Ok wait... It's tzatziki sauce!!! How can you be a Gyro place and call it white sauce??? Ok... I'm watching him put it together and a guy from the back brings this skillet out and instead of the traditional long strips of Gyro meat, they were crumbled up almost like ground beef or ground sausage. I'm not sure what the thinking was on preparing it that way but it makes for a big, hot mess when you were trying to eat it. Pieces of crumbled meat EVERYWHERE. They put the tzatziki sauce on from a squeeze tube. Now, I've had some good gyros and real tzatziki sauce is thicker in consistency. This was like mayonnaise. The flavor all around was below average at best. The workers in there were polite and really were trying, parking is plentiful and the establishment is clean. I was thinking maybe a platter would be better but I was speaking to a customer in there who said that he's giving it "another shot"... Soooooo... Thinking that can't be too good either.
