    8. Chicken Koobideh Kebob
    Rohini G.

Comforting kebabs for a very affordable price in Huntington! Easily one of the best spots in the village. Tried the chicken koobideh which was well seasoned, a generous portion, and succulent. Wish the onion was milder but this was otherwise a very complete meal. Rice was also perfectly cooked - had a good bite but not underdone. House pita with butter, yogurt, and cilantro sauce to start. Service was great. My glass of water was never empty. Passed on dessert because I had a low appetite but I would come back to try it next time along with some stews and other persian specialties.

    Side grilled vegetables

The food was very good. Delicious hummus and salad large enough for 4. Chicken shish kebabs were flavorful and not dry. Crispy French fries and rice complemented the meal. Service was very good, but as it got later after 8 pm the waiters were very busy with other tables. I would give 5 stars but it was not my taste in decor, felt a little dark and lacked warmth. Otherwise, highly recommend.

So delicious and fresh to order! I got the marinated steak and substituted the rice for grilled veggies !! Definitely filling!

Good Persian place on Main St in Huntington with a spacious interior with plenty of seating. Food was quite delicious and portions seemed to be fairly generous. Especially liked the platter of kebabs - juicy with what I thought were very authentic flavors. The hummus and pita was a little different to what we were used to but not bad in anyway. Service was prompt and pretty efficient.

This is an upscale halal establishment and it definitely lives up to the hype. We ordered 2 platters and both were 10/10. Service was great and I would definitely recommend this as a date night spot!

Superb salmon kebabs and dill rice at Ravagh.

Still amazing. My wife and I had a flawless dinner here last night, for the first time in-person in a bunch of years. Service was a bit slow (I should not have had to ask for a second glass of wine when my first was empty) but it was Saturday night. Started as usual with the Kashk-Bademjan, the silkiest most decadently delicious eggplant dish you can eat, accompanied by rose prosecco. For the main, I tried (on my son's recommendation) the salmon kebabs, and they were incredible; the dill rice was the perfect complement. Loved our baklava, good coffee, too. My only suggestions: 1) The wine list is nice, but would maybe also be cool to have a small cocktail list, even better if they have a Persian accent (maybe rose, saffron etc). 2) Would love to see a few more traditional Persian desserts on the menu.

    9. Dark Meat Chicken Shish Kebob

Went for an early dinner/late lunch and the food was delicious. We got the stuffed peppers, babaganoush, and a dark meat chicken kebab entree. Interior is very nice, and the prices are very fair. Polite staff and fast service, will definitely come back soon!

Parking on the side streets wasn't bad. Food was amazing ! Service was ok. Didn't like that we made a reservation and upon arrival we asked to be seated at a different table that looked open & was told no. They sat us directly infront of the door where people were waiting behind us while we were eating. Did not like that at all. But then another couple came in five minutes after us & got the table we asked for originally. They even got water, their drinks & their food before us. When we ordered first & didn't even get our cocktails yet. very upsetting considering we were really looking forward to dining here.

Great spot for Persian food. I love the Roslyn location of Ravagh (which I personally like better) but this spot is good as well. They have huge portion sizes, the meat is always cooked well and nice and juicy, and the service was great when I visited. Waited about 45 minutes for a table for 2 on a Saturday. The only downside was that the bread was very hard.

The atmosphere is cozy, elegant, and inviting -- exactly the kind of place where you instantly feel at home, whether you're there for a quiet dinner or celebrating with friends. The quality of the food was outstanding across the board. I ordered the Sultani Kebab, which was perfectly grilled, beautifully seasoned, and incredibly tender -- every bite melted in my mouth. My friend had the Lamb Shank, and it was equally phenomenal: slow-cooked to perfection, falling off the bone, and bursting with rich, authentic Persian flavors. The saffron rice was fluffy and fragrant, the bread was fresh and warm, and even the appetizers and salads showed real care and attention to detail. We literally cleaned our plates -- not a grain of rice left behind! What truly elevated the experience, though, was the service. Musa, the manager, is in a league of his own. Despite the restaurant being absolutely packed on the night we visited, he handled everything with grace, professionalism, and a genuine smile. He made sure we were seated quickly, checked in on us throughout the meal, and made every single guest feel like a VIP. Musa and his team are a powerhouse -- incredibly strong, well-coordinated, attentive, and passionate about what they do. You can tell they take real pride in their work, and that energy radiates throughout the entire restaurant. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the generous portions, the premium quality of the ingredients, and the top-tier service. It's rare to find a place that nails all three -- food, ambiance, and hospitality -- but Ravagh absolutely does. My friends and I left feeling completely satisfied, well-fed, and already planning our next visit. If you're looking for authentic Persian cuisine in a warm, welcoming setting with a team that truly cares, Ravagh is the place. A huge thank you to Musa and the entire staff for making our evening so memorable. We'll definitely be back -- and we'll be bringing more friends with us!

Delicious from start to finish!…read more A colleague recommended Ravagh for a team dinner in the Chelsea location and I am so grateful we came here. To drink, I ordered the Tehrani Mule; a take on the moscow with a house made ginger lime juice. 8/10; a tad watery. We decided to go family style with ordering and chose the mediterranean salad, kotlet, and falafel to start. The falafel was perfectly crisp with a slightly smoky outer crust that added really great texture and flavor. A bit dry tho -- Needed the hummus and Mezze Platter to dress it up a little. Salad was refreshing, crispy and a great palette cleanser across the table. The combo platter + mixed rice was fabulous. Chicken was tender and came right off the bone (something I'm new to but it was good!). It came with a side of tzatziki and persian zhoug (?) - a minty and herby chutney that just added another layer to the aromatics of the dish. Although the rice was great, it was a really large portion even for the group of 5. It would've been nice to have the option to split to a half portion of vegetables or different grain to balance quantity. Overall 8.9/10 - Definitely worth a visit with a group for business dinner or catching up on a friend's night out. The service is great, everyone is super attentive and you can really feel that the food with made with love. So glad I tried this place and I'll be back to give their dolmeh and dessert a taste!

The stuffed feta dates were the good balance of sweet and savory, and the eggplant dip was incredibly smooth and rich without feeling heavy. A little extra seasoning could go a long way with the dip! The falafel had a great crisp on the outside while staying soft inside. You can really tell they put care into each dish. What made the night extra special was the birthday surprise: the sweetest baklava presentation that felt so warm and personal. It was such a thoughtful touch. We also ended the night with cappuccinos, hot chocolate, and an affogato (not pictured), which were the perfect cozy finish. Overall, Shiraz Kitchen strikes a great balance between elevated and welcoming. It's the kind of place that feels just as right for a celebration as it does for a relaxed dinner. They give complimentary flat bread which is tasty. Our Persian friend mentioned usually Persian restaurants give the bread with herbs and feta rather than just plain. We did find on the menu the herbs and feta was an extra cost. We had the kebab combo and subbed cherry rice and salad (which is cucumbers and tomatoes) and also exchanged the ground chicken kebab for a chicken breast kebab. The standout was the steak kebab and the cherry rice. There were so many cherries in the rice, and it was both sweet and savory. I couldn't stop eating it. The steak was super juicy and well seasoned. I also really like the roasted tomato on the side, basil and pickled cabbage. We ordered a stew, think it was Ghormeh sabzi.
