Our server, Nick, was helpful in explaining the menu and very attentive. All of the staff were also very attentive, from the hosts to the server assistants. The service alone made me want to make another reservation on the spot ! Now for the food, the Wagyu meatballs are a must-try for an appetizer. The flavors were absolutely delicious !!! I was blown away at how amazing they tasted !! The meatballs are big so definitely shareable. I ordered the ribeye and it was cooked perfectly medium. The tableside fire-torch service for the butter on our steaks was a really cool and unique addition to our experience !! We also ordered the chicken tenders, which I know arent popular for a steakhouse, BUT honestly those were the best chicken tenders ive ever had and im not even exaggerating. Also for dessert, if you like carrot cake, I highly recommend ordering it. It was literally perfection. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious !! Mentioning the service again, everyone was made to feel very welcomed/like family. You can feel it in the atmosphere. I've been here a few times with different groups of people, and in all honesty, it's a mixed experience. The restaurant itself is beautiful, the staff is friendly, and the appetizers are actually really good. My best experiences have been when I've gone just for apps and drinks that's where they seem to shine. Unfortunately, the full dinner experience hasn't lived up to the price point. The taste and overall quality of the entrees just don't match what you're paying. Nothing I've ordered for dinner has been memorable enough to even take leftovers home, which says a lot. We had no real complaints other than making a rookie move and expecting more from our 40 ounce $200 tomahawk steak... They pull out the show in presentation if you order the truffle butter, also if it is your birthday, you can potentially get sparklers and a presentation if you order a certain dessert, but they have no real set. Dessert menu seems like they are transitioning or not quite set on what they want to serve so the server was rambling off different options doing the best you can to describe them... Our friends wanted to try this place so our party of seven (4 adults, 2 children, 1 infant) invaded for an early dinner. This isn't really a kids friendly restaurant but our friends were confident we could make it work. Labebe Prime offers a 1950s "Rat Pack" steakhouse vibe including plenty of Sinatra songs pervasively piped into the restaurant. Our $517 dinner (before tip) included one drink for each diner plus: Appetizers: Short Rib Waffle Cones $36 Wagyu Meatballs $30 Dinner: Porterhouse Steak for Two $194 Creamed Spinach $16 Garlic Mashed Potatoes $14 Yellow Fin Tuna $44 Seafood Bisque $20 And for the children: Macaroni and Cheese $16 Wagyu Cheeseburger $18 The meatballs were fantastic, just the right texture and delicious with a nice sauce which wasn't too heavy handed. I'd order this again in a flash. I loved the presentation of the Short Rib Cones, but was less impressed with the actual short ribs. The steak was very good, and the presentation was fun (more on that in a moment) a few pieces were chewy, but overall tasty, as one should expect for a $95 per person piece of beef! That said, if given a choice, I'd likely opt for a Ruth's Chris or Flemings steak before a Labebe steak. The spinach was delicious, and the mashed potatoes tasty. But we weren't impressed with the Tuna or Seafood Bisque which resulted in a comment, "this must really be a steak place, I guess you need to order meat." The Cheeseburger was very tasty, but the Macaroni and Cheese had a smokey flavor the kids didn't like, resulting in a frown and comment that, "we should have gone to Panera's, they have good mac & cheese." Labebe is great at presentation, displaying the Porterhouse in a retro briefcase replete with artificial smoke, and a gangster waiter with sunglasses and a flame thrower rifle (check out the pics!). The bad: the short rib waffle cones were the best thing we ate all day. The rest of the food took FOREVER to come out. It was moderately busy when I was in for dinner but almost an hour between apps and food is ridiculous. While the quality of the steak was great, it wasn't cooked too well. I ordered a medium rare steak, but it was cooked unevenly. Some parts of the steak were well done, other parts were rare. They spent a minute with the flame gun melting the garlic butter on the steak which definitely overcooked parts of it. Went for my birthday so was given a free dessert which was not edible. I came here to celebrate my birthday and brought a cake. They told me it will be a four dollar cutting fee per person for my cake which was fine. We then met our waiter who was very nice and attentive. They gave us complementary bread and we ordered a few mocktails. After every course, they reset your tables with new plates and silverware. I ordered the spicy vodka pasta, and my sister ordered the vegetable risotto. Both were really good. When you're done eating, they give you a lemon icee to cleanse your pallet. Since it was my birthday, they came out with a big happy birthday sign, and saying happy birthday. We also got these small desserts along with the cake that I brought. A few details about LaBebe: there's a parking lot in the back, we were seated on time for our reservation, the menu is on the pricier side, and it's very dim, mood lighting throughout the restaurant. It would be cute for a date night. On to the food, I saw people raving about the short rib waffle cones, but after trying it, I don't understand the hype. The meat was good with the garlic whip and that's all I can really say. I personally wouldn't order it again because the bangin shrimp was the star of the appetizers. The calamari was also perfect with the right amount of crisp. For my main, I had the spicy penne with chicken and I loved every bite. If you don't get anything else, get the spicy penne! Before I move, I had to stop by my favorite local restaurant to close out my birthday. I was greeted and seated by Omar, who went above and beyond to make my night spectacular. This was my first time back since the Prime upgrade. For starters, I had the Ultimate Sangria and the Calamari Ferrari. The combination of Remy Martin VSOP, Bacardi Pineapple Rum, Cointreau, Malbec, and Orange made for a delightful drink. I was taken aback by the generous portion size of calamari. Each piece was piping hot and crispy. The spicy sauce that came with it complimented it well. So I didn't ruin my appetite, I ate about half and saved the rest. For dinner, I had the Lamb Osso Bucco. I saw a picture on Yelp before ordering, but that didn't do it justice. This lamb shank was large, and beautifully presented on top of mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. Some parts were falling off the bone tender, but the cook was still exceptional. The mashed potatoes were creamy and the vegetables were flavorful. After dinner, I was given a small Italian ice to cleanse my palette. While I was dining, a couple next to me ordered a steak with what I thought was truffle butter because a man in sunglasses came over to melt it with a humongous blowtorch! To end the night, Omar and a couple of other waiters came over with a cinema light box to wish me happy birthday. They presented me with a beautifully decorated plate with rainbow cookies, whipped cream, and a candle. After setting up the scene with an external light, they snapped a Polaroid for me. The gentleman with the blowtorch even came over to pose for a few pictures using my phone. After we put in our order he went ghost. We had to ask other people for whatever else we needed and our food came out incorrectly. By the end of our meal we were ready to go, but I believe because our server knew he wasn't there he offered us free dessert and then again disappeared. I had to literally get up and flag him down to get the bill. It was very frustrating that we were there an extra half hour for the box and to get the bill. I don't think I can say enough good things about our experience. When pulling up to the building, which is just a plain beige building with plain red sign, we did not expect much. But that all changed when we went inside. The well decorated interior belied the plain exterior. And the experience got better from there. I will say that the menu is a bit pricey. But that is a minor complication because the overall experience and quality of food sort of made the high prices worth it. There were four of us, and we ordered so much food. For appetizers, we ordered the short rib, waffle cones, ceviche, risotto fritters, bone marrow, and scallops. For the main course, my wife and I shared the porterhouse, and our friends shared a filet. For sides, we got the whipped mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, truffle, fries, and sautéed spinach. For dessert, we got a tiramisu and a crème brûlée. I won't spoil some of the fun things that transpired throughout the meal to make it even more enjoyable, but I will say that the food was all amazing. The waffle cones were a standout, with tender, savory short rib paired perfectly with a hint of sweetness. The chicken lollipops were crisp, juicy, and seasoned to perfection, while the risotto fritters had a delightful crunch with a creamy, cheesy interior and nice tomato based sauce to go along with them. For the main course, I ordered the Filet Mignon, which was very well cooked. The steak was tender, buttery, and seasoned just enough to enhance the natural flavor. The sides were just as impressive--the Creamy Spinach (My favorite) was rich and satisfying, while the Rice added a simple yet comforting complement to the meal. The star of the show was the food and drinks of course and boy did we order too much so we had plenty to go which tasted even better the next day. I went with the viral appetizers of course surf n turf waffle cones and waygu meatballs and let me tell you those meatballs did not disappoint. For entrees I went with the French bone in chicken parmigiana and spicy pasta. Babe went with the Mixed Grill. For drinks we had the Ultimate Sangria and the Lychee Martini both were on point. For dessert we did the chocolate lava cake and were given complimentary Italian rainbow cookies. Since it was our Anniversary they did come out and put on a show and your given a Polaroid photo to take home as well.
