    Flat iron steak
    Scott M.

We came here to celebrate a birthday and it didn't disappoint. I chose a rare flat iron steak. It was juicy and tender and delicious. The fried calamari appetizer was crispy and tender and the sauce was delicious. Nice touch was they gave us a bit of hot and bit of sweet. The chocolate hazelnut bread pudding was delicious. It wasn't overly sweet but was custardy had a nice toasted edge. The cream on the bottom with berries was a nice addition. The crème brûlée was also delicious. It was a nice touch that they added happy birthday to the plate because we were celebrating. Nice place for a special dinner.

Boy, this place was tough to find! It took me three tries before I found the correct place - our menus still said Catherine Lombardi at the top which is their sister restaurant so perhaps there is some crossover in terms of the menu? The food was decent. I liked the flavor of the orecchiette though it could have been a bit more chewy instead of hard. The chocolate cake with ice cream was delicious though! We had a big group and reserved a private room to dine in.

I went here for a friend's birthday and they were super accommodating. I ordered their wagyu ribeye and that was served on a salt block. Let me just say this ribeye was SO good, I really wish they gave more than 7oz for the $80 price tag. I also got the eggplant parm and it was good. For dessert, my friend brought an ice cream cake and they were awesome to cut it and serve it for us. Also, they share the space with their sister restaurant, Catherine Lombardi (Italian restaurant) so even if you are vegetarian or not feeling steak, there's other options for you!

The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because I honestly do feel it is way too expensive for what you receive. The food is good, but I've had better in much more affordable venues. With that being said. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at SLS. We recently went to celebrate my father's birthday and we were beyond the last ones there. I cannot begin to say how accommodating the staff was in every way. We are a finicky bunch (well my family is) and they were great with some of our party being late, moving our reservation from inside to outside, turning the heat lamps up and down lol... Service was always attentive. Upon entrance into the venue, you just feel warm and cozy with the dim lighting.. old school bar.. this time of year, you get to try their seasonal cocktails. Autumn Leaves was perfect! The bartender was super friendly... sorry his name slips my mind. We ordered a sweet and spicy calamari which was tasty enough... my truffle pasta with proscuitto and asparagus was a bit too salty, but still good. I think everyone else enjoyed their meals, but we were just a bit underwhelmed. Christian was hilarious... I guess he does a bit of everything there. Very gracious part of the team. A class act spot that deserves to be checked out.

This is a wonderful steakhouse. The atmosphere is great. Very pretty and intimate. Service was first class. The tastiest cuts at a steak house are the butcher's cuts and the flat iron here was no exception. It was cooked perfectly rare was tender and tasted like butter. And if you're a burger fan like I am, best thing to get at a steakhouse is a burger. A steakhouse knows how to make an awesome burger. The burger here was amazing. It was a delicious blend and it was cooked perfectly rare. The Amish bacon was thick cut and cooked perfectly. The cheddar was sharp and generous. Dessert too was a delight. The chocolate hazelnut bread pudding had a delicious but not overpowering blend of flavor. It was served with a zabaglione on the bottom that was so eggy and delicious and fresh berries. The crème brûlée was perfect. I am a huge fan of crème brûlée and this one was a winner. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We had a wonderful business dinner at Stage Left last night. Everything from the appetizers to desserts were so beautifully and deliciously arranged. The staff was so attentive and the owner even came and spent a few minutes with us making sure we had a pleasant experience. The lamb osso bucco was probably the best lamb dish I have ever had. The meat fell right off the bone. Would highly recommend.

    Amazing truffle pasta!!!

Great food, drinks and service! The steaks were amazing, but so were the appetizers and sides. More creative than your typical steakhouse. The desserts were amazing. We can't wait to come back.

Went for Valentines day dinner late last night. It was our first night out alone in a year. We ordered a bottle of Malbec, waygu steak with salt brick, lamb chops and truffle fries. There menu is limited since the last time I went a few years ago, most likely due to COVID. The waygu steak was delicious. It arrived on a hot Himalayan salt brick where you cook it to your desire. Truffle fries were delectable and came with a yummy mayo flavor sauce.

As I've gotten older, I've become a notoriously nitpicky about little things at restaurants so I don't say this often: My dinner at Stage Left Steak was one of the BEST restaurant experiences I have had to date. Let's start off with the food, it's excellent, well done, and you can really sense that there is a sense of respect for the ingredients. The menu is seasonal and there is a lot of care into all the menu items. We tried the tuna tare tare, to start off which is wonderful. For our main meal, I opted for the the burger while my husband opted for the flat iron salt block. If you haven't experienced the salt block, you should give it a try at least once in your life. The meat is beautifully cooked and you have total control over how you want it. My burger was really good and the fries that came with it were massive and beautifully crispy. The sides at Stage Left are nothing to balk at. The asparagus was beautifully roasted and I will now be spending the year trying to recreate their cauliflower creamed spinach at home. For dessert, we opted for the creme brulee and it was wonderful (we were informed they use actual vanilla bean). What really set Stage Left Steak apart from most restaurants I've been to is how well it's run. I've actually never seen a restaurant be so organized, so on time, so attentive to service. The owners, Frances and Mark, were both on the floor. They were making sure the guests were paid attention to and well taken care of. They were directing the staff, they were serving guests, and it was actually really wonderful to see people put so much care into their business. It's not something you see often. I will be returning whenever I have a very special occasion, as it is a more high end restaurant. But it's a place worth splurging for!

This was an exquisite place and was bigger than originally thought. There were multiple rooms available to dine and a bar area as well. The menu had lots of appealing options while the service was well appreciated. I went with the Stage Left Burger ($17). I also added Applewood smoked bacon ($3). It was an 11 oz. patty with the bacon, aged Vermont cheddar, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. It was very good. The meat to bread ratio was one of the best I have ever seen. The meat was cooked to a perfect medium like I requested. The bread soaked up all the juices and made it that much better. Will I go back? Easily.

Three stars On special: apple cider salad Arugula was scanty, nothing special Bone in filet mignon. - i ordered medium but it was more of medium well. Im not sure if it's a filet M. It was charred , hard to eat an tasteless. I ordered a side of veg. And I ate most of it.

I visited Steakhouse 85 for the first time on Thursday, March 19th. We all know the food is fantastic, but what impressed me even more was the employees. When I walked in, I was greeted by the hostess, who had a big smile and bright eyes. She showed us to our table swiftly, and during our time there, her smile and warm welcome continued as she greeted other incoming diners. Our waiter appeared quickly with the first question would you like something to drink, water, etc. After the initial greeting, and now ready to take our order, he excitedly told us he had the pleasure of tasting most of the items he suggested. His excitement about the food he had the "pleasure of tasting" (his words) was apparent. Also, I had the pleasure of speaking to Monica, a manager at Steakhouse 85. She was kind, thoughtful, insightful, and well spoken. I could easily see why she holds that position and could have talked to her as I would a good friend. How a great manager like Monica gets those around them to react positively is by example; in other words, it's the ripple effect. It is easy to see that she is the type of person who, no matter what she does or where she goes in life, success will follow. Also, I want to say thank you to the owner and all the managers because hiring the right employees, from the cooks, busboys, and servers, is not an easy job in itself. The key to success is not just about the food; it's also the employees who add to the establishment's success! Great Job To All Of You! Kindness should never be taken for granted these days! Frances

I can say it was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Sweet potatoes casserole who've was so good. Sweet but not even close to too sweet. The spinach was good and I did add some pepper to them. But tasty indeed. Our waiter was really good and attentive. We were one of the first to arrive as it was a early dinner at 4:30pm. But by 5:15 it was crowded and a wait if you had no reservations. Definitely a place I would come back to. I want to try the bone in ribeye steak 14 Oz. The birthday party was really God and this made av great place to enjoy it.

Bartenders were preoccupied with their regulars, but they were friendly and attentive. Cocktails were pricey, but on the mark. Blondie had a margarita and said it was as good as I make. I had Hendricks up with olives. Nicely chilled glass and shaken to perfection. When our friends arrived we were seated in the front of the dining room along the windows. Acoustics a little better but I still had some trouble hearing my wife across the table. The wine list had a decent selection and even some good values mixed in with the typical 3X prices. We had a couple of bottles of Sancerre which arrived properly chilled and went well with our food. Oyster selection was very good. I let the chef pick some cold water varieties from PEI. The Bad Boys and Momma Mia were excellent. Briney, properly chilled and nice accoutrements. We also had calamari and zucchini which were perfectly fried. The bread was pretty good too. Worth noting. For entrees we had the Branzino (2), Sole and Halibut. They were served with a small portion of tasty potatoes and generous pile of sauteed spinach. All on the mark. Server was very attentive but not overbearing. Perfect pace. Bussers cleared plates timely. We had a nice relaxing and enjoyable evening. Solid dining experience. We will definitely return. Perhaps sit at the bar next time. The one pecular thing about the place is that you need to get on an elevator to go to the restrooms which are located in the basement. I would prefer to use the stairs but apparently, they are for staff only.

I was especially looking forward to ordering the ribeye and lit up instantly when the server listed it as one of the specials. The server shared that he would need to collect the orders for all of our courses at the same time which was fine with me. I actually had more confidence in the timing of everything for that reason. Our server had a delightful energy particularly at the beginning of our visit. After we placed our orders, everything began to fall apart. It did get noticeably busy since we first arrived, but we ultimately waited for our main entrees for over 3 hours. 3 hours. The table ordered the charred octopus and the oysters to start. The oysters hit the table fairly quickly, but then we began to gradually notice how long it was taking for the octopus to come. I had only a slither of the octopus so that I could say I tried it. Everyone at the table raved about the taste. I did, however, agree that their oysters were delicious especially when dressed with a little bit of mignonette, lemon, horseradish and a touch of Tabasco sauce. I'm excited to now report that I am a fan of fresh oysters from the east coast, because apparently the coast matters. The table also ordered the canaletto stuffed with mascarpone, parmesan and another cheese, langostines and lobster with morel mushroom cream sauce, garnished with truffles. I passed on this one also as it was too adventurous for my taste buds; although, their delicious bread and our drinks did distract me for a little while. The restaurant is BYOB, so we had our wine to keep us company while we observed other tables come and go. We eventually asked to see the manager and was told there wasn't a manager on duty which was either untrue or a very poor decision on the part of the owners considering it was a Friday evening. Having someone occasionally check in with our table may have also helped to take the pressure off of the server who may have gotten overwhelmed or decided to prioritize other tables. Having a manager offer a personal apology may have helped us feel less forgotten about. After the three hour mark, we decided this was enough. I didn't have much to eat at this point, but I wasn't at all worried initially since I was there for the main event, the ribeye. I stopped a hostess who was walking past our table and asked for the manager. We were again told the manager is not here but can be called, if needed. I simply replied, "Please do". Shortly afterwards, I noticed our server who at this time was standing by the host stand briskly walk into the kitchen and then return to our table with our plates. I sent the food back which was a decision that was supported by everyone at the table. Let me tell you, that was a difficult decision to make, but I also was ready to call it a night. Our mood had changed, and I truly felt like we were derservant of having the same experience as everyone else that night. Our server apologized for his part to play in the ordeal which I appreciated since I know his intention was never malicious, but unfortunately we had to call this night a bust. He offered us dessert on the house, and our entire meal was comped which we felt was an appropriate resolution. I ordered the Cinnamon Toast Crunch bread pudding which was a favorite. Very good. Jasper Stone is a beautiful establishment with decorative yellow and white floral arrangements throughout the dining area. It is clearly a popular restaurant and has many positive reviews. I regret that I could not have a comparable experience.

I have a bit of a bias against this place and it's not really against THIS place at all. After my…read morefather died my mom spent a lot of time here to cope when it used to be Freddy's. Some might say too much time. Some might say. So I just typically avoid the area because it brings back so much...stuff. When it transitioned to Stateside sometime during the early days of the pandemic we did get take out once and it was delicious - I still dream about the Brussels sprouts. But it was a bit expensive when everyone was dying and all. Like am I really gonna risk my life for $16 sprouts? I think not. Now I think it's under new - new management. My cousin stopped by there about a month ago when she was in the area and gave it great reviews. I was feeling A Kind of Way a couple of weekends ago and just really wanted a cold beer. So me and huzzo stopped in. Service was good and beer was solid. This week I wanted another beer. Blame your president as he insists upon annihilating everyone and sending our collective pressure through the roof. We arrived about 20 minutes before the end of Happy Hour and snagged a couple of beers as well as wings and a shrimp quesadilla. The food was great but the service was the real stunner. I found myself stuck between two beers and the bartender suggested Arnold Palmering it and going halfsies on both. Fantastic decision - the mixed drink was refreshing and tart without being too pedestrian or too far afield. Food came out quickly and deliciously. Saved $15 on food prices alone during Happy Hour. Fat things: The bar stools are excellent - steel with a wide seat and a foot bar so your legs don't fall asleep. And they don't pack too many of them in so it's easy to get into and out of your seat without bumping someone else. Other stuff: They have regular indoor seating and an outdoor seating area on the side with couches, high table, and heat lamps. Overall, the space is open, airy, bright, and clean. It's pretty packed when the temps warm up but shoulder season is very nice for us right now. Be advised: Regular menu prices still seem steep - like everything else these days. But the food is good and they have a very nice craft beer selection. If you can't make happy hour and are looking to treat yourself this might be it. We'll def return!

The strip mall itself isn't anything special, but the surrounding area is beautiful , and once you're inside, the restaurant feels warm and inviting. The food is fantastic, and the variety on the menu is impressive. The chef clearly knows what they're doing because every single dish we tried was genuinely delicious. It's the kind of spot where you can't go wrong: date night, dinner with friends, or anything in between. We brought our own bottle and had a great time. Our waiter was super knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. The staff even joked around with me when I forgot my to‑go bag, and yes, I absolutely took it home because the food is that good. I also appreciate that they don't act like offering takeout is beneath them; even the takeout bag was nice. I honestly wish my meals were this good every night. I hope everyone who works here is paid well and enjoys what they do, because they're running the place exactly how a restaurant should be run. It feels like a true community staple somewhere that transports you a bit and makes the whole experience feel special. Lovely all around.

It's tuck in a nook of a strip mall, but you will notice that the parking lot is packed. Seating has intimate small tables inside or larger tables for groups. Also, they have outside seating for those warmer days. I do suggest you make a reservation just because of the limited overall seating. I always like to start with a good calamari but what made it was the homemade sauce to dip them in. I also decided to go for the special which today was a crab cake stuff pasta. Luca's Ristorante is a hidden gem in Somerset, combining great food, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere. It's perfect for a casual night out, a family gathering, or a romantic dinner. Whether you're a fan of traditional Italian dishes or looking to explore new flavors, Luca's is sure to impress.
