I first went to Chuy's three weeks ago....I've been back four times since then and I'm going back tonight! Lol! The food is amazing and the servers are really sweet! My fave is the chicken fajitas with CORN tortillas. And that creamy jalapeño sauce is CRACK!! It's so addictive I bought an 8 oz. container to go last Friday! And when I went back Sunday (I may have a problem lol) my sister and 2 nieces split a Tres Leches cake....sooooo good! I love this place, it's our new favorite hang out! This place constantly amazes me and is our favorite place to eat. They really have attention to detail when it comes to their food, and it is consistently excellent. It is also now one of the cheapest places my family of 5 can go out to eat. One time when we were there all the food came out but one of the kids meals and the manager was right there to explain that the kids burrito my son had ordered was not up to his standards so he was having them make a new one and it would be out shortly. About 3 minutes later it was rushed out to the table and I was left shocked that they care that much even for a kids meal. One of the best parts about dining here are the sauces... each one is a work of art and excellent, and you can change out the sauce used in any of the dishes. Chuy's was spot on at lunch today...we asked for a specific room and were led there immediately. Our smiling server got our drinks super quick and then I ordered the Baja tacos...superbly done fish tacos with shredded red cabbage and a delightful creamy salsa. it needed a little more heat so I scooped the chips salsa on top and it was pure heaven. read more

The drinks are awesome! Soooo tasty! I'm pregnant now so I love the fact they carry O'douls. This allows me to get my michelada fix which makes me very happy. This by far one of my favorite mexican places in Texas. Although it is a chain the food is off the chain! I love the salsa and chips there, and there is a lady making fresh tortillas where you can see her. I always order the special nachos, and let me tell ya, they are great! I got the worst case of food poisoning ever from eating here! I had to miss work because it was so bad and I ended up at the doctors office. The manager did refund our money and sent us free food vouchers but there is no way I will ever go back! Their Human Resources office was supposed to call me but ever did. Me and my three friends received horrible customer service from a waiter called Joseph K and the manager of the establishment. We didnt receive our order until a whole hour later, we asked for napkins and the table next to us received it before us. We ordered a margarita and we received at the end of the meal. Oh Chuy's... I feel like we have a love/hate relationship going on: I love to eat at Chuy's but I hate how you defeat the purpose of my workouts. The creamy jalapeno sauce is delicious and while there are plenty of option to satisfy any deep fried/cheese covered craving, I like to stick to the more simple items like fajitas. This was the first time eating Chuy's. We ordered take out. The women that took our order was very friendly, she repeated out order and asked about any extras we may want. When I arrived to pick up the food, the bartender was very quick to ask if I needed anything and check on my order. a few minutes late the server that took my order was there with my food and she was even more friendly then she was on the phone. When I got home the food was still hot, everything was great the servings were large and everything was fresh. This is a place we will be going to more often. Today while at home my credit card was on a shopping spree in the Woodlands Mall. WOW! $1200.00 spent at the Apple Store, 21 Store etc.... I had not been to a Chuy's since the early 90's and I remember why. The food is just not good. You are paying for the atmosphere more than quality food. There are far better Tex-Mex joints in the Katy area and, judging from the crowd of soccer moms and wanna be coach dads, it obvious this is more of a trendy place rather than a place to enjoy real Tex-Mex. read more

Love Chuy's and have been a frequent patron with my family at this location since we moved to Katy four years ago. Sadly won't be going back after my experience yesterday. I was craving Mexican, so my husband and I decided to eat at Chuy's for lunch. The reason we love it so much is because of their great vegetarian options. I ordered what I usually do, cheese stuffed chile rellenos. When my food arrived, I took two bites and began to feel sick. I cut open the peppers to find that they were stuffed with shrimp, not cheese. Not only am I a vegetarian, I'm very allergic to shrimp. I sat and waited for our waitress for several minutes before a man who I'm assuming was the manager came to our table and asked if everything was ok. I explained the situation to him, and he apologized and asked if he "needed to take further action for my allergy." I told him I didn't, and he said he'd get me a new dish and promptly walked off, sending our waitress over. I told her I felt ill and didn't really want more food at this point. She said that was fine and they would pack it to-go. What I'm upset about is that they still charged my husband for both meals. I understand orders getting messed up, people are not perfect. I've never expected a free meal before. But I really feel like we should not have been charged for my meal. I spent the rest of the afternoon in hives and feeling sick to my stomach when I was supposed to be enjoying our first child-free time with my husband since our son was born. Please be cautious dining at this restaurant if you have a food allergy. If mine was more severe, yesterday could have landed me in the hospital or worse. read more

I love this location! The food is amazing and there is such a large variety. I always try a new entree when I go and I have never had anything that was less than amazing! The customer service at this location is top notch as well. The manager Mark is terrific and he has a really great staff. You can tell that he runs his kitchen and floor well. We went to Chuy's for lunch after church and it was a terrible experience. It was busy, but that was no excuse for the poor service we received. Our server took 10 minutes to come to our table to take our drink orders. He was probably the least friendly server I have ever had, and he looked and acted like he was high. We put in our food orders, finished our chips and drinks, and waited. After 15+ minutes, we were not able to flag our server down to refill drinks and chips. After our food was brought by someone else, we were finally able to flag down our server. We asked for refills on our chips and drinks, and he only brought drinks. Once again, we had to flag him down to ask him for the second time for more chips. Once we were finishing up, he brought us the check while ignoring my husband's empty cup of tea. He actually went by his other tables with a pitcher of tea giving them refills, came by to pick up our check with the pitcher still in his hand, and did not refill my husband's cup. This guy had to be flagged down every single time we needed something, except for the check, and that was IF we could even find him. He never offered to pick up our plates. The food was pretty gross. My husband filled out a comment card and handed it directly to a manager. She never followed up with a phone call to apologize or anything. We have been to other Chuy's locations and they were fine, but this one was just bad. It's a shame because we love the jalapeno ranch, and we put up with the mediocre Tex-Mex food because we love it so much. Had the manager attempted to contact us, we may have given this Chuy's another chance, but now we will never be back. read more

1st time visit with family to your I-10 location was good so I got encourage to invite 20 people of my office staff and called to make a reservation, the girl who answered the phone was unprofessional with smart answers about no reservation, when I asked to speak with her manager she put me on hold for about 17 minutes, Denise or Genise came trying to question me of what happened with the girl instead of listening or being a customer oriented manager, I believe not only the girl but also your manager need some customer training. My husband and I just returned home after what might have been the most awful Mexican food I've ever tasted. I ordered the taco and enchilada plate...pretty basic, right? They messed it up good! My husband and I LOVE Chuy's. If you come before 7:00 pm, you can go to the bar area and get free queso, bean dip, and other dipping features for the chips. The unlimited thin, crispy chips are amazing. The chips are one of the reasons why we love Chuy's so much. The next best thing are the On the Border Cantina Thins that you can buy at the store. Creamy Jalapeno sauce - amazing. We always get the quesadillas, but in all reality if you order anything that has flour tortillas you won't be disappointed. They make the flour tortillas in house (you can watch) and they are the best tortillas I have ever had. To top it all off, once we gorge on chips and share the 4 (pretty large sized) quesadillas, we are full and ready to pay for our cheap meal. With a generous tip, we usually end up paying around $10-$15 for the both of us. Chuy's is also a really fun place to sit in the bar and watch a Sunday Night Football game. read more

Ate here...mediocre as usual. Went to our cars...were chatting a bit before leaving and a guy approached us and asked us if we had noticed anyone near his truck. We said no...then my friend looked in his own truck and noticed it too had been broken into and his laptop for work was stolen. The other guy had all of his visiting families' (who were going on a cruise) luggage stolen. ..passports included, vacation ruined. I go back into restaurant to inquire about security and talk to a "manager" and am informed they have no parking lot security and that the actual manager on duty (who reminded me of Milton from the movie Office Space) is out in the parking lot pacing around trying to get the people who's passports and luggage were stolen in the unattended parking lot TO PAY THEIR BILL. It was almost surreal. These people could give a flying f×÷= about the fact that patrons cars are being robbed. The kicker is the poor guy who's family lost their passports and luggage had his car robbed at this restaurant once already! I will never patronize this or any other Chuys restaurant again. They could give a sh!t about their customers property or safety. How much does it cost to pay a guy to drive around in a golf cart or put up some cameras? F. Chuys. I spent my last penny at that place and advise anyone out there not to spend any of their own. read more

Absolutely love the fish tacos. Period. Now, onto the nitty gritty. I think the serve yourself nacho/salsa area is disgusting. Every person's hands all over everything. At least the staff is required to wash their hands, I'd prefer if they jut delivered to the table. I understand the whole relaxed Austin/Cali thing, but I do expect my servers to be presentable and appear to have showered recently. The management has to step it up a notch. The other main problem besides some bad service, I've had multiple situations with other patrons and I don't understand what causes this place to be a magnet for rude and discourteous patrons. I've had other people's kids climb over the back of the booth in my own while the moms drank ritas. Watched a group of unmaintained kids bump into a woman's chair, hard enough to cause her to drop her food, and watched the parents never do anything as the kids continued to cause other problems. If you can brush off some negative behavior, the fish tacos are awesome. I like the thin style chips and the jalepeno ranch is pretty damn gud. You can buy that stuff by the quart, it makes it easy to put a straw in. read more

We have been to Chuys many times with no issues. However this evening we were seated at a dirty table with pieces of food still on it. When we asked for it to be cleaned the employee seemed like it was a bother. She proceeded to clean it and the filth on the table was thrown into our laps. Very unprofessional and disappointing. Then we were told it was not her job to clean the table. We asked for a busboy to have it cleaned properly. After waiting several minutes no one came to clean it. We then asked to speak with a manager. I feel like the manager maybe didn't feel this was a big issue. There definitely need to be an improvement with some of the staffs customer service skills. Also never seat a customer at a filthy table. After this event we will not be going back. read more
