Their quality is truly unmatched when it comes to "fast food" Within the past year they have been under new ownership and the owner is very hands on in the restaurant as well as very personable. He strives to make sure everyone has the best experience possible and enjoys the food. He has a great group of employees that are always pleasant, polite and helpful. Oh please . This is the most pathetic imitation of Mexican food - better, a FauxMex scam - that anyone in Texas has ever tried to put over on the public. The "fajitas" amount to a machine-cut, square slab of gristly, stringy. mystery meat served with a miserable few slices of cooked onions. period. No sautéed green peppers (a standard with fajitas) and one very very very hot pepper, sliced in half and served raw, complete with ribs and seeds. I asked for corn tortillas and was given 2 slabs of RAW, uncooked masa harina. The 2 flour tortillas I was given were also almost raw and had to be cooked at home. These people try to pad out your $60 -$70 bill with a lot of lettuce, tasteless rice and beans, inedible "salsa" so hot (meaning picante) it cannot be eaten, tissue paper, tasteless "tostadas" that taste like fried tissue paper, and a little bit of guacamole. The guacamole was edible. I have no idea what the cost was because no one ever told me when I ordered it by phone and I was given no bill when it was delivered. I assume the bill was probably in the range of $60 or $70 for two servings of "fajitas" and some sort of faux margaritas, which I subsequently was told, when I called to complain, were made with WINE, not tequila!! ICK!!. There is just nothing at this place that is really edible, much less worth what you paid for it. Dreadful. STAY AWAY!! Don't waste your money. read more

I ordered the sampler. When we got it, the queso was thick, no chip or hot salsa, so I called to ask why ? The guy who answered the phone told me they where out of chip and they could have made some but didn't and the had to onions to make hot sauce so i asked for a manager. The guy who told me the manager dipped out??? So I called back the next day to talk to the manager again, and he was not in. I asked when he would be in, and the guy said maybe 3pm, so I called back at 4 pm, thinking he would still be in in but the guy who answered the phone laughed and said he had just left. So I called a different fajitas Pete's to tell him what was going on at this fajitas pete, so maybe he could call up there and tell the manager about my complaint but he wasn't in either. Save your money and time, go get fajitas from other places. We ordered two ppl fajitas and paid $36 for beef, it came with one person's portion. Four small tortillas and hard/dry already. Chili con queso has no cheese at all and delivered like liquid milk which I have never seen any other places make this kind. We spent overall about $50 on this meal and still feel hungry after that. And we are not big portion eaters! We lived in Memorial city area before and ordered Fajita Pete's all the time from the location there. Their food was great and high quality. I'm very shocked this location makes such awful food and sad tiny portion for expensive price. What a shame! read more

This was horrible! One of the most expensive fajitas I've ever purchased. Drink fountain wasn't working so we had to pay super high prices for bottled drinks. Fajitas came in a to go container, which I kinda liked looks like a meal prep container. Little did I know they just microwave them in it! The fajitas are premade elsewhere and they warm them up. This place is a train wreck. Sadly they're either under staffed or just don't care about making a profit. The staff took a long time to make my order, which is no big deal in itself. But while waiting on the food, I watched the staff ignore all phone calls asside from the ones on their personal phones. They had orders on door dash pop up, that they would look at on the door dash tablet and completely ignore, I suppose hoping customers would give up and cancel their order. Also, along the same line, I tried to place my order online but got a message saying they "cannot accept web orders due to an internet outage." I think it's another attempt to avoid taking orders as the internet in the business is clearly working as noted by the various tablets in the restaurant working. All this to say the staff are uncaring and not concerned about customers in the least. They have two tables, so not really a place you'd want to dine in. One of the tables has an employees laptop on it, interestingly, given their "internet outage." I'd heard a lot of good things about their food, but, frankly, it doesn't matter how good the food is when the service is this bad. Best of luck to those trying to order. read more

I spent $120 on food and was quoted 45 min for delivery. The food showed up almost 2 hours after I placed the order and was cold. To top it off, the order was wrong. We called to speak with the manager and was told he was out and would have to call us back in 30 min. read more

Poor Petes has been circling the drain for a few years. But they are done. OVER. Finished. Everything but the heat and the tortilla is now an EXTRA charge. You get no cheese, no sour cream, no salsa, no guacamole on anything without an extra charge $$$. Even taquitos...which are sort of supposed to have a green sauce. The service is equally bad. The help is too embarrassed to be straight about the menu change, so she lied and we brought home dry entrees, beans, rice etc. Never again. read more

Our family group og 6 to 20 has been eating at the same local Mexican food restaurant once a week for the last five years. We have recently become dissatisfied with Service and the wife and I are trying out other Mexican food restaurants. The big problem is finding another restaurant that has the fajitas as good as the current place We are not really into a takeout Facility but rather a true restaurant where we can sit down and socialize for 2 to 3 hours. The Fajita Pete's on 1463 is a little small for our group. Also the plates and utensils are plastic. On the positive side, the fajitas were very good, and the service was very good but we question if service could be good at a bust time. We only saw the one person serving the front. A big drawback for us is they don't have toppings for the fajitas. The place is new and clean but small. Only one bathroom is a drawback. It was not just a takeout place but a place where up to 20 guest could dine in. I doubt it would work for us so we are still going to be looking around. I think we will try to fajita Pete's on Mason. read more

We have been going to this location but I'm very disappointed with their level of customer service so we will not be back. Make sure you check your order and get each item before you get all the way home. If not, they don't apologize or try to make it right. They will tell you they'll just refund money for what they missed but never actually refund the money. Most businesses will do what is needed to make it right but not this one. read more

Today was their full opening day so they're still working out the kinks. Waited a bit longer than I was expecting, which was fine because they kept in contact and were apologetic about it. (It's opening day, so I get it). We Ordered a beef burrito, delicious. Beef tacos, also delicious. 3 Flautas, awesome! And a Fajita salad, this was very mediocre being that it didn't come with a dressing or a shell. Overall, we enjoyed it and will be returning! I placed an order for pickup for lunch. Not a big order but still over $70 bucks for 4 people for lunch! I arrived on time was told it would be 20 mins. Waited outside 5 mins then went inside and was told it was not ready would be an additional 3 mins. Decided for the price and wait, I value my time, better to go a different route. read more

Take it from me an original life long Texas born native who k owns good or bad fajitas. These are the absolute worst I've ever "tried" to eat! They are the most fatty filled beef you ever put in your mouth. You literally cannot chew it up. You wind up having to spit out every single piece. I don't know what kind of meat they use but it is inedible to eat. It had good flavor. Tortillas very thin. Chips OK. Beans were a mashed up mess. Looked so unappetizing I didn't even want to try them. Oh no, the quacomole was terrible. It had huge chunks of raw white onion that you could smell a mile away and lots of it. More onion than avocado. Salsa looked watery didn't taste it. The one and only thing I loved was their Spanish rice. It was very good. This was a catered event by the way. You'd be better off going to H-E-B grocery store and buy theirs in the meat section and cooking your own. They are so good and have the best flavor. read more

Been doing a lot of Fajita Pete's Friday nights and it's slowly becoming a tradition. The food is fresh and delicious. My kids (6 and under) love the chicken quesadillas and chicken flautas. We've started doing curbside and it's usually ready when we get there with friendly service. We had an issue once or twice (over more than 2 year span) with delivery and lack of communication, but they made it right. Only request would be please apply for your liquor license! Lots to like starting with ease of picking up if you live close. Chicken was very good and tortillas are also excellent. Beef was okay, nothing special. Value is not there. Lupe prices and a bit better than Cabana quality. The convenience was great, but think it is overpriced. We will order again as it is pretty good and easy for pickup. read more

Don't order for delivery. I placed an order at 4:45 and it's was not delivered until 6:30. I live less than 2 miles away in Tamarron. That being said, when my food finally arrived it was hot and delicious. Next time I will just order for pickup. read more
