Save me from this kids party place. If I have to go to one more kids birthday party here, I think I'll croak. How unoriginal can you be? From what I've observed, the kids don't really even get to interact with their friends when they are here together. They all spread out and obsess over games the entire time. And then we all have to eat horrible pizza and listen to cling cling cling noises from the machines all afternoon. No thanks. Terrible place. Pathetic service. Went there on a Sunday. Too crowded. No place to sit and no staff to clean the tables. When we asked staff to clean the tables they said they are busy making arrangements for parties and can't do anything about it. We ordered cake which came 90 mins after placing the order. Welp, Yelp.... here it goes. Planned my sons 7th birthday at this place... booked everything online. Because I booked online and on a Sunday, I automatically get 100 extra tokens. I opted to get the cake and the individual cups of ice cream from CEC also. All in all... online booking was as smooth as a whistle. Day of: Walked in and the guy stamped my sons and my wrist. Right in front of us there was a sign that said "stand here for parties or reservations". So we stood there... and stood there. There was no one at any of the registers. Then a girl came up, stood at the register all the way on the opposite side of where the sign told us to stand and asked if she can help us... and in the same breath started talking crap to the guy that was handing out wrist stamps. She was telling him how lazy he was for not helping her, and he was hooting and hollering back... all the while my son and I were in the crossfire, even though we were just asked if we could be helped. Finally the girl regained her focus and I told her we were there for a party... so then she moved us to the other register... again, where I was to begin with and just told us that the manager will be out to seat us. Im not sure why you have to be in a certain spot to tell a customer that a manager will be up shortly. Anyway, manager comes and greets us, and takes us to our tables. As we get closer she explains that only part of our tables were ready because the other party wont get to steppin'. It literally took 10 more minutes to get that other party to leave... and then they never really did come back and wipe down tables. Our hostess for the afternoon comes introduces herself, confirms my online order and drink order and goes and gets our drinks. I asked the girl for my 100 extra tokens and she says she'll be right back with them. The kids all go play. Pizza comes about 45 minutes later. Kids eat pizza, and go back to playing. Then its party time... Chuck E Cheese comes out and does his rock star birthday stuff with the kids, then its cake time. So we cut the cake, serve the cake and the hostess disappears. Thinking she went to get the ice cream, we continue to eat cake. Kids are done with cake, clean up their plates and again, go play. 10 MINUTES LATER the hostess comes back with ice cream. I told her that the kids are done... they are on to the next thing and wont want to come back and now eat ice cream. Wow... 10 minutes later? She took the ice cream back, but just lost $6 in sales and also a big portion of her tip. When things started winding down, almost 2 hours later, I again told the girl I never got my 100 free tokens. She left again and actually brought them back to me this time. But... we couldnt use them really... we were just about done. We will use them on the next visit. Time to pay... hostess gives me a survey card and asks me to fill it out while she goes and bills my credit card. She comes back, hovers over me while Im filling out this card, so I just hand it to her. I was honest on the card, rating my experience just "fair" and hell yeah you guys can improve. My hostess didnt say another word to me the rest of the time we were there. She swooped up the table cloth with all the drinks and what not and took everything. Wow... ok... no warning, no heads up? No final call on the 2 full pitchers of soda that I JUST REFILLED MYSELF SINCE YOU DIDNT DO IT THE ENTIRE TIME WE WERE SITTING THERE? What a horrible hostess. I had her tip in my pocket waiting for her to thank us and say good bye to the birthday boy... but she had such a bad attitude regarding my comment card, I assume... that she never came back but to destroy the birthday tables. Needless to say, I am $20 richer tonight. The prize counter was RIDICULOUS. One girl working with about 25 kids waiting for their turn. What a waste of time. Anyway... the experience as an adult was crappy... but my sons lack of ice cream with his cake, or loss of 100 tokens to share with his friends didnt phase him... so over all he had a good time. Chuck E Cheese is just a necessary evil for parents, we hate it there because it is loud, full of screaming kids and the pizza is mediocre at best - but we end up going there because kids just LOVE it. That said, I'm rating this location 4 stars in comparison to all the other CEC's I've had to visit in the Bay Area. It is smaller than most so you don't have to worry about losing your kid there. Not quite loud as the other locations so you only leave with a minor headache. We had my son's 7th bday party there and I have to say he had a great time and it was really easy to coordinate (and we literally had 20 kids there) - the staff is helpful and they have it down to a science so basically all you have to do is show up. They set up the tables and serve all the food. We brought our own cake but they'll provide that if you like, I even ordered the goody bags through them. The food - well, it is the same not so great pizza as the other locations but the kids don't care. Good variety of the standard CEC games kids love. The place was clean and service was friendly and fast. read more

Thanks to my wonderful son, I have the honor of reviewing Chuck E. Cheese locations around the bay... Lol. This is my third review for CEC. This location is is not bad. Parking was fairly easy to find for a Saturday afternoon. The girl at the check-in station was happy a giddy. It took a while for someone to notice us at the register so I could purchase tokens. Then a manager came out and helped us. He was very polite. As we moved on to the play area, the games are pretty much the same as the other locations. The area seemed quite larger than Newark and Dublin but definitely better than San Jose. The room is lit brightly and non of that dark and dungeon feeling. As always, my son had a blast. We didn't get to try the food here but I'm pretty sure they it's the same as any other CEC. Booooo to some machines that decided to eat some of our coins and also to the ones that didn't give us the tickets we deserved... Perhaps empty tickets inside the machines?? Maybe. The girl at the prize counter didn't hesitate to refund us our coins so Yayyyye for that. read more

This location is so much smaller than the one in SJ or Newark. Went here one day with my niece who loves to play their games! We went around the time they opened on a weekday so there was literally no one at the venue. Some of the games weren't working, so had to harass the manager a couple of times to get our tickets. also, just realized how they got rid of the tokens! They replaced it with play cards. Kind of bummed, because my childhood you totally look forward to the tokens. read more

Poor service - very rude staff We visited Chuck e Cheese on Monday evening (02/28/2011) when it was relatively less crowded. We had to wait for tokens because the available staff members were busy talking to each other. When I politely interrupted them after waiting for few minutes, they were not too happy about it. One of them finally came over to take our order but refused to accept the regular coupon. I asked for the supervisor and again I had to wait for 10 minutes. The supervisor (Paul Reed) was extremely rude and refused to even listen to us properly. I could tell that he was racially biased against Asians (we are from South Asia). We left immediately and decided not to go back there ever again. Avoid this place like a plague if you would like to be treated with respect. read more

came here for a birthday party at 4pm and let me tell you parking is a bitch! i had to drive in 6 circles just to finally get one. every car watched patrons exit and followed them like prey. it was just annoying. honestly, if i had to go around one more time and still didn't find a parking spot i would have just left. this place is too ridiculous later on in the day. early morning is key. then when i walk inside, they tell me we can park a cross the street at the post office and walk over. had i known that, i would have done that instead of driving in stupid circles. i'd rather walk 20-30 steps than deal with this crap. the pizza has actually gotten better to be honest. they aren't cheap with their toppings, the right about of crunch but still soft in the middle. their party platters are pretty good as well with 4-5 choices on each plate. the salad bar was delicious. a little expensive for a damn plate but it's delicious. they have everything you could ever want. i still love that every game is one token unlike other places, so you'll get to play longer when you have kids. it is just too chaotic there, especially on the weekends. there is a line for every damn game and people play on the games for too long. don't hog the game. take turns, especially when you're an adult. my god, KIDS JUST WANT TO PLAY. there is no need for ADULTS to hog the games for long periods of time. i never come later in the day it is just too crazy and not worth the trouble. too bad with little kids, you'll always have a birthday party or two to go to. read more

Much cleaner and the staff is better. The food is all the same, so there's no point in getting into detail. They have pretty good birthday packages for kids. I can't help but play skeeball with the kiddos. Plus, I don't have to feel scared at this location...there aren't any ghosts like the one in Eastside San Jose. read more

I have to give this place at least three stars when I view it from my son's perspective. My son's eyes light up whenever I tell him that we are going to Chuck E Cheese's and so I AM going to factor that in my review. The smart thing would be to avoid this place on all major public holidays, rainy days and other such days. On days like that, this place is chock a block bursting at its seams. On a couple of occasions, I noticed (after they had swallowed a sizable amount of my tokens) that some of the gaming stations were not working properly. They have the regular car/ fire truck/ carousel rides for the kids or gaming stations for the older kids. The kids seem to like them well enough. I have attended a few birthday parties here. Obviously, they are in great demand because they accomodate up to three birthdays on the same day. The three parties are held side by side, on occasion, it can get pretty confusing as the boundaries of each party can get blurry. I have found myself walking accidently to a table that belonged to another child's birthday party. Chuck E. appears during the birthday celebration as the cake is cut. Just as all the kids clamour to go see/ touch/ hug him, one of the employees calls out that Chuck E. is there just for a moment and that the kids will have to wait to meet with him. Oh, really ???? Chuck E. reappears for a brief meet and greet and is then thronged by kids from all three birthday parties. I wish they would organize all this a bit better. All in all, Chuck E. Cheese is not a place I look forward to going to frequently, but once in a while, for the kids.....I guess it's ok. read more

I have been to this location many times without any issues. I like it because it isn't as busy as other Chuck E. Cheese's. I ordered a large cheese pizza and it took over an hour and a half for the pizza. That is ridiculous for cardboard covered with cheese. When asked why my pizza took so long I was told they have to make pizza for everyone. Isn't that what they do everyday? Anyways, I will come back with the kids to play games because I don't have to talk to the incompetent employees but will not come back to eat. read more

Wonderful party experience! Had my daughters birthday celebration here. The manager, Dan (I think) introduced himself right away and checked on us throughout the party. Our party host Francisco was friendly, attentive, and helpful! My daughter did not catch many tickets in the Ticketblaster, and Dan voluntarily offered her a huge handful. Place is clean. The only down side to this is the kids keep staring at you when you are playing video games. This kid followed me for at least 10 min watching me play he asked me " can i play next" so i let him play he totally killed my character and there goes my token. Then he calls all his little friends to watch me and they asked me if they can play. Let me start off by saying that this location is a much better option than Tully!!!!! It is much smaller, much cleaner, but is best for kids under 10. We came last night for my daughters 7th bday. We brought my bf's son (12) and my bf's little brother (14) they had fun and got LOADS of tickets for my daughter to cash in. I spent $86 on 1 pizza, 4 drinks, 190 tokens, 10 piece buffalo wings , salad bar, and a birthday cake! Pizza wasn't as bad as other people are saying; it wasn't gourmet but what else do you expect?! They seemed a little under staffed at the counters but that might be because they were tending to 3 large bday parties (on a monday night, go figure). My daughter also likes this location since creepy Chuck E doesn't sneek up on her, he only comes out for the reserved parties. The prizes are pretty terrible and aren't worth the money you spent on all the tokens! I love the fact that all the games are 1 token now. read more

On average, you can expect to get 1-2 tickets per play. It used to be much better, but management somehow thought they weren't making enough money and reduced the ticket payouts. The prize redemption remains as high as before. Overall this rob any sense of accomplishment/reward from game play, making the outdated games horrendously boring. read more

I have been to Chuck E Cheese a handful of times, the last time I actually remember going by choice was when I was roughly around nine years old and sure I had a grand time. It was the only place a kid could well.. be a kid. Sike. Chuck E Cheese would never compare to Bullwinkle's in which they have since closed and turned into a few different night clubs such as "Back Beat" and currently "The Avalon" This review is of chuck E cheese so let me get back on topic. I came to this location on Sunday afternoon for a 3 year olds birthday.. However my perspective of this place has since changed from the nine year olds take in which I used to have. Upon entrance they seemed to have a child system in which wouldn't allow the children to exit the place without the same stamp as the adult you came in with. I thought that was interesting.. Now this location did serve beer and I'm never one to turn down a beer.. unless...that is.. that I am hungover. That was this Sunday's situation. No beer for me so straight to the showroom. The party I came here for was rather large for a 3 year old. Apparently each time window is 2 hours long for each party. I'm not gonna lie..it was clear pandemonium. Chris were running wild, toddlers who just learned how to walk were on the loose, bumpin into each other.. making each other cry. It was nuts.. The games selection was rather small and the food didn't look very scrumcious. I didn't chose to eat here. Its a much cleaner location than the one on Tully. That's for sure and the crowds are way different. I'm not to sure if I would ever had my future children's party here but it was I'm sure a lot of fun for the children. Which is the point of these establishments anyways. I just wasn't feeling it. ha ha My favorite part of this trip though was when we were leaving.. I told pat that he looked like he was gonna kidnap a child and a little boy who was holding his mothers hand heard me say this word and then asked his mother "Mommy..what does kidnapped me" to which the mothers eyes widened and walk went faster.. quite funny. read more

Took my little girl here for her 3rd Birthday last week and she had an absolute blast! We didn't have a birthday party booked, just my hubby, me, our 5 yr old son and the birthday girl. Anyway just ordered a pizza, 2 salads and got a bunch of tokens. The pizza wasn't the greatest but the kids dont notice things like that. The kids had a ball playing games, riding the kiddie rides and climbing on the play structure they have. Its like Las Vegas for kids!! Lol! Compared to other Chuck E Cheese's I've been to, this one is pretty clean. Also, a positive thing about this location is that it uses it's amount of space well. Kids have ample room to run around in. Parking is pretty abundant and the clientele is pretty good, meaning you have more kids that behave than those who do not. Location is great too since it's right across the mall. read more

Well, Chuck E Cheese is Chuck E Cheese. I didn't know about getting a coupon when I went with my family and took my younger cousin (4 year old boy) was in town. We spent WAY too much money on their cheese pizza and "salad bar" for 6 people. Even the girl ringing us up went "whoa!" when she saw our total. I later found out you can get a large pizza for 4 people and 100 tokens or something for under $30 or $40. (Don't quote me on that, I never did see the coupon!) The games are conveniently the height for little kids (not so good for adults trying to play games next to them), and all the games only require one token. However, when we went, almost half the games were broken! I'd put in a coin, and nothing happened, or, I'd play and the game and it just wouldn't spit out any of the tickets I won. Of course it bugged me more than my little cousin. If you ask him, he'd give this Chuck E Cheese 10 stars! If you're looking to feed and tire out your little kid, pack a sandwich, and go down the street to Portal Park and let your little one run around. Save the Chuck E Cheese experience for when your kid is invited to a party there. read more

I have 6 nieces and nephews safe to say I am a Chuck E Cheese regular, and this one by far was the cleanest with the friendliest staff. We were there for my youngest nephews Bday, and before we went he said he was to big for Chuck E Cheese (he is 7), but 4 hrs later of pizza, games and a pic with The Big Cheese and the kid was beaming with Bday joy! Holding down the booths at times I witnessed the staff hustle to take care of the bigger parties. I watched the needy guest pester and even follow the staff into the kitchen and with a smile on their face the team never lost their stride. I'm used to choking down the food at a Chuck E Cheese, but this location made a pretty good pizza, uh and the cheesy bread... delicious. I even asked if they had coffee and they brewed a fresh pot. We have been here more than a handfull of times with our now three and a half year old. He loves the games and of course the prizes from redeeming tickets; for that this location gets three stars. We have tried the food at this location prob three times and it was absolutely horrible. Most of the time at this place you have to wait at the entrance bec no workers are around. U have to wait at the food counter to order all the time. Service is all around bad. Last night a worker left a bottle of cleaner on a table which says do not drink for over five minutes, a little kid unattended could have gotten into it! Lots of kids here on the weekend, weeknights are nice if you want less noise and smaller crowds. Went to another chuck e. Cheese's out near Hercules CA and it was much nicer, larger, and has 100 times better food. read more

Disappointing. Spent $46 on a medium pizza (Which was thin and tasted like cardboard), 10 buffalo wings (Which were tiny), one drink and $20 in tokens. We didn't use any coupons. My husband and I with our 2 kids came during a non-busy time and the employees all seem like they hate their job and don't want to help you. I also filled out their on line survey on my receipt and had a specific complaint however I only received a standard email response and was never contacted by management. Guess they just don't care. Don't waste your time or money here. If you must take the kids to play somewhere or have a birthday party make the drive out to The Jungle on Saratoga or Sky High Sports in Santa Clara. read more

My sons birthday party went perfect! I was very scared after reading all the reviews but it was great. We got a young girl as our coordinator, but too bad I forgot her name. She was soo sweet to my little 3 year old and even gave him a stash of tickets that were left over from the ticket blaster. The extra attention she gave to him really meant a lot to us because he is our miracle baby. The pizza was soo good, better than expected. We also had wings and just as good. Service totally sucks. 1. 10 mins wait to just get tokens and order food 2. Promised food in 15 mins but they 'forgot' the pizza and just gave starters 3. We went to this branch of Chuck E Cheese recently. In all fairness, the tables were (semi)clean and the pizza was okay. My kids enjoyed themselves. They went to redeem their tickets and after fifteen minutes of standing in line they pooled their resources to get some junk no self respecting dollar store would charge a buck for. Then my four year old was sad because he had actually wanted a lollipop, so I asked the guy behind the counter if he could throw in a lollipop. I was kind of expecting a "Can't do that, sorry", and that would be okay. But the guy sort of sneered and said something like " you already got your ticket's worth and that's all you are gonna get." And this after I had just shelled out almost sixty dollars for pizza and tokens. Honestly, do they give special courses in rudeness to chuck E cheese employees?
