It was a good one time thing to do with the kids. It's cool to be immersed in a room like that, the kids had fun for an hour. But the kids games (floor is lava and box party) were honestly not that fun, even for the kids. The tracking technology is just OK, the games aren't actually that immersive - you're just kind of a human controller. So yeah. First time here and came with one friend. We had a reserved time slot and the employee was helpful recommending a game based on our interests. We did the Spider-Man game and I was honestly surprised at the fun we had. It had slow parts where each player takes turns but also times when we both played. Fun spot to bring your coworkers or friends for a hour or so of semi active fun. We played squid games and the floor is lava and they were both pretty neat. Very easy to understand instructions and easy to pick up even if you don't really play games. Only gripe is the rooms feel a little crowded when you have the maximum player count of 6. Some of the games feel like a lot of waiting for turns to occur and it's sometimes hard to see by the other players when they're waiting and you're playing. read more

We've been to Immersive Gamebox multiple times last summer. The moms and the kids enjoyed the different games we played. The Ghostbusters was fun. A mixture of movement and problem solving. The Floor is Lava is a nice beginner game. Lots of movements. The Squid Game was a bit hard and made us sweat. The volume in the room is good. It's adjustable. The touch screens are responsive. I refrained from spending money here for a while because my kids are overly spoiled with high tech video games and I wanted to spend my money on other kid places to burn their energy in a more physical way and less visual. Back in December 2025, I wanted to have them try new things so I decided to spoil them a bit more. My interaction with Kristoff was fantastic. He was so welcoming and accommodating. I usually don't leave yelp reviews for one visit. Since then, I've been noticing all the "kid" places are honestly all expensive now. So it comes down to customer service and common sense. My life (and apparently now, yelp reviews) have all recently been kid activity places..and I gotta say..my mindset on where to spend my money has really shifted. I would rather take my kids here, where they clearly hired smart, quick, and accommodating workers than a "budget friendly family place" where the only excuse that comes out of all the workers mouth when you ask a question is "well, company policy....." Don't get me wrong - I am not advocating for any worker to get in trouble. Safety first, followed by proper structure. And the thing is, they have that here AND proper customer service. I was so happy to see Kristoff again when I returned with more kids (SUPER AUNTIE WEEK!!!!) during spring break. He was the same, happy, customer-service oriented person I remembered from December. Except this time, it was insanely busy! I could see him shifting and quickly helping one customer after another, scheduling, not shy and refrain from mentioning the available discounts we were eligible for. I was there for no more than 5 minutes and he one-manned through 6-7 different groups. I was impressed. Definitely coming back! Some details, December- I booked online...I came in late and didn't expect him to bend any rules! he did his job and was still awesome Spring break/April- I walked in, busy time but he was still able to get us in within less than an hour. Today was my first time here with my kids, sister and her kids and the kids all had a blast. We came here on Tuesday, 2/18/25 and arrived around 1:15pm where the gentleman at the front desk was so knowledgeable and helpful. The kids range in ages 4-7 years old and the 4 year olds definitely needed guidance, so I had my husband go inside with them and help them while I sat outside the room taking pictures and videos through the glass. The kids did the Paw Patrol activity and it lasted 30 minutes which was a great start since they never played before and they are young. My partner and I have known about this activity since we've passed it at the ValleyFair mall a few times and we finally checked it out! We walked in and our timing was perfect because they had one room available (there were three in total). You get to choose different challenges, and it was nice that they provided a chart to help you decide, based on what you like (eg if you like going on dates, spending quality time with family/friends, etc). There were quite a few options and we asked the host on what he would suggest and he suggested the Squid Game one since it's been a fan favorite. We settled on that one and it was a great time! I think it was pretty interactive and nice that it's not VR (I don't really do VR stuff because of my glasses getting in the way). You put on this headpiece that has tech that allows you to interact with the game that's shown on the walls. Some of the games were pretty challenging but it was still very fun. We would probably come back again to try a different challenge, but probably not for a while. We were surprised at how pricey it was ($45 or $46 per adult person if I remember correctly) so almost $100 for both of us for about an hour, while is quite a bit in my opinion. read more

Overall, a very unique experience! A new AR game like no other. Imagine the XBOX Kinect (rip) but 10x better. The sensors in the room are good quality and sensitive. Be sure to move your BODY, not just your head! The headset personally put some tension on my temples - giving me a headache, but nothing unbearable. I would do it again! +++ FYI - this not a VR gaming session!!! Very different. Our host recommended the Squid Game Challenge instead of the original game we reserved online. Such a fun experience! My husband and I played The Floor Is Lava and we had such a great time that we're planning on coming back for more! The staff is very sweet and the rooms were pretty clean and free of any type of wear and tear. The only "issue" I have is that because we were in the front room, anyone walking in or waiting in the lobby had full view of us. I wish the windows were frosted, but it's not a big deal! read more

Went here for my friends birthday and surprising had such a fun time. I wasn't expecting much but actually had a great time. The worker was very friendly and even gave us a warning that we would be working our legs haha. He gave us the rundown of how the game and system worked and the game also gave us another rundown so instructions were very clear. The boxes were clean and all equipment worked. This was so much fun! I booked this for a long overdue date with my husband. I actually booked it for the wrong date and the owner was nice enough to switch to over to the day we showed up. He did a great job explaining everything. He felt very approachable. The game itself was an hour and it was so much fun! We both agreed that it was one of our more interesting and fun dates. You can order drinks here too. Looks like they have lockers if you have quite a bit of items. Otherwise, there is a stand for your phone so you can easily access your phone for photos or videos. Came here July 23 and was helped out by a younger girl. She was very informative on how the games worked and how to play. There was only time for a 30 minute game, so we choose from 4 different ones. Ended up choosing the alien one which tests your agility, etc. It was fun and interactive! We wanted to lower the sound inside the game room but the settings button wasn't working. Tried to step back and press it again but didn't work. There are different colors to choose from for your headset which is nice. I do hope it's sanitized after each game. We got a 15% discount as we are first timers! Btw, they only offer student discounts for the one hour games. Would love to come back here and play the psychedelic one (one hour game). Came with my coworkers to enjoy the start of Spring Break on a Friday afternoon. Another coworker had already booked 2 rooms for us prior to arriving. We got there a little bit before 4:30 and the two teams were ready to play. The two employees were friendly and helped fuel some of our competitive fire. We signed the waivers and were given access to lockers to store our items. The teams went into our rooms and we donned the color visors to begin the game. They do offer some beverages that they will deliver to this shelf on the backside of the wall. We had 4 people in each room, and I believe they can go up to 6. However, I think 4 per room is probably the maximum for comfort as it is a small room and people have to move forward and backwards (as well as left and right) to play the games. You do touch the walls quite a bit so I appreciated how there was hand sanitizer at the counter for when we exited.Also, it did get a bit stuffy so I was regretting not taking off my sweatshirt. We enjoyed the Bunny Casino Royale game as we collected cards and played a variety of games. One hour ($20 per person) later, we emerged. Not too many people played the Bunny Casino Royale so we made it onto the scoreboard. At the end of the game they also record a short celebration clip which they play on the television screens at various times. The coworker who made the reservation also got the little clips emailed to her I believe. I would go back again to try some of the other games. I can see this being a nice break for kids who accompany parents shopping and dining at Valley Fair. read more

I wasn't able to come early - but they still let us play the whole game They provide a free locker storage to put your belongings. (As a group 1 locker) Reservations / booking can be done online You wear hats with sensors/ lasers for these games. So keep in mind how you turn or move your head. The instructor can give tips on how to approach certain games Squid game - 60 Mins for 6 mini games. I don't want to spoil it but games do mimic the ones in the movie. Some are solo, some are partner or team based. You don't need to have watched the movie to know how to play but it helps. Before the game starts there is an instructor to help you. You can ask for tips for the game My team and I didn't score so well but still had fun My groups room is small but I think it's because we only had 4 people instead of larger 6 group. The other two rooms appears larger than ours. It was hot in there during the summer afternoon and with so many bodies moving around. Wish they could maybe turn up the AC! I heard that you order drinks to the room but we didn't do that $40 ~ for 1 hour game total, split that with your group and that's reasonable. May return to try other games in the future read more

Tried out the squid game experience with a group of 3 this past weekend at Immersive Gamebox and we had a great time. The game is recommended for adults only and while we didn't anything was scary, the games can be a bit challenging for kids. We really enjoyed the graphics and storytelling (the games mimic the ones in the series) and it was fun and interactive. The gamebox uses sensors on a visor to track your movement which was easy to maneuver but not as immersive as I thought it would be since it just tracks your motion around the box. I will say the space does seem small for 6 people if you brought a larger group. Between the 3 of us we needed to make sure not to bump into each other while moving around. read more

I have been trying to book a party at Immersive Gamebox for my son. I have emailed them, I have called them , and I have sent a text message to a phone number listed on the voicemail for the company. I have some questions about set-up and gameplay etc. that are not answered buy the FAQ. I was told that I could only text a phone number and that this business does not make outbound calls. There's so many games for you to choose from, ranging from family games to challenging. We went with Squid Games because who doesn't love the mini games! You start off with a headset that is controlled with your bodily movements (stepping up moves you closer, back to be further, etc). you play the same 6 mini games just like in squid games. A little challenging to get your footing at first but you'll get used to it. You touch the wall to make your "final" move. It's so cool. Definitely something to experience. We came here for my daughter's bday. Thinking that this was like Sandbox had an idea what to expect. The store is located next to Urban Outfitters. We weren't sure where the place was when going here. We were greeted and had to fill out our waiver forms. We did reservations and did the Angry Birds and Coins run for an hr. You put on this head piece that can track your position and you would tap the wall for your actions. The kids had lot of fun with the Angry Bird game. When we went to the coin run game, it was hard for them. They were frustrated on that game so just a word of advice for parents. The visor sensor doesn't work very well around corners/switching walls, so my husband actually had to hold me and "control" my movements during some of the challenges, LOL. Took my nieces here (ages 7 &8). It's a small location inside the mall with 3 interactive room. The games that we chose were the floor is lava and Angry birds- for a place that specializes in interactive games I did not feel this game could keep the interest of anyone. You simply pick the bird by placing your hand on it on the interactive wall, you move backwards to aim the bird, and then you hit the wall again to launch it. The sensors were not great and kept losing signal. Floor is lava- This game was a little more interactive and possibly better for kids of an older age. Overall, I think you would have a better experience, trying out the escape rooms that they have at this mall or sandbox VR for some real virtual reality. Kids played Angry Birds and had a great time. Sensor was a little faulty when trying to launch from the left side for some reason. The kids switched sides and we noticed with both of them activating the super move was way easier on their right side. Maybe because they are right handed? Me and my partner came here for the Squid game experience. Including the instructions and demo, the entire experience was for 60 minutes. The game is very much like the actual TV show, both of us have to work collaboratively to get maximum points and it has like 4-5 rounds of different activities. The gamebox room is kind of small, ideal for a group with maximum 4 people. Else I would imagine people crashing into each other while playing. The experience was new and I enjoyed it. Would have loved it more if it was VR based. Right now it is just the walls that are touch activated and there is movement sensor that you have to put on your forehead like a cap. read more
