With an upcoming play date planned between myself and a gf, I was happy that this particular park was picked for our meet up. First things first, this park is MASSIVE! Delano Manongs Park is broken into 10 parts- YES, I SAID 10!! This includes a small and large dog park, multiple gardens, a fitness station, and a number of play structures to keep all your little munchkins happily occupied. The park is very well kept, the restrooms are very doable, and with its large size, there isn't that congested feeling you get with other locations. On top of the many perks, there is a large field to kick or throw around a few balls. The only flaw- and might I add that it is a big one- is the lack of actual shade. Your relief from the sun's powerful rays is limited to the gazebo where the benches are or using the large flower structures as a shield. 5/5 stars all in all. Our first encounter happened over the phone and while talking and discussing musical and early childhood education, I kind of mentioned my dream to have my OWN special song designated just for our Step by Step CC & Preschool that I have been running for over 17 years now. Zhanna had immediately responded with such enthusiasm that I knew right away it would happen and my modest dream I'd kept to myself for many years would come true. To work and communicate with Zhanna isn't just easy and pleasant but so much more. Everyone may listen but not everyone can hear and understand. Zhanna can. She's truly a beautiful Person inside and out, intelligent, educated, with a wide range of knowledge, very wise, and don't forget she's a talented musician, singer, songwriter. And all these qualities she gladly shares with people around her. The first time I heard the Step by Step Signature Song I didn't even try to fight my tears back. The song is so beautiful and touching. It reflects my own soul and the spirit of my place created for the children and the families. Zhanna truly understood everything about us and what we do, and she did her best creating this song. The music, the lyrics, the vocals came perfectly together! I'm so grateful to Zhanna because now my dream not only came true but has the voice and sound of its own. Although the Step by Step song still awaits its official public presentation that's coming in a few weeks, many plans are already made. My daughter had a blast and said it was the best day ever :) Some feedback I do have are (that do not detract from the overall good review): 1. The communication prior to the day itself is not very consistent. There's a number to text and i didn't always get satisfactory responses, i had to just try to figure out the info from the website. 2. It was clearly communicated the time for play + food would be 1 hour and 30 mins however I do feel the transition from play to food is a little rushed as kiddos take awhile to get out of the play area and they have to put on their shoes, wash their hands etc, so i would suggest either giving hosts options to transition earlier for enough time for the food, or perhaps allowing for 45 mins for food time in the package seems fair. I felt bad rushing everyone out towards the end and thankfully we had lots of helping putting everything back in the car! 3. It is a small space, especially during food + cake cutting time. It felt a little tight for parents with a group of 15 kids (and half of them were sibling sets!) Overall everyone had a great time. I'd recommend it for a party for younger children for sure (my kid who had a birthday turned 4), but they def had activities that all kids felt included!
