    Milpitas Pinewood Park
    Stephen I.

If you're kids need to run around after shopping at the Great Mall in Milpitas then this is a great close by park. Kind of hidden in a residential neighborhood next to a school. This is a good park to let your kids run around without too much worries. 2 different play structures that are on opposite ends of the park. From the Milipitas website: "This 8-acre park has 4 tennis courts, 2 barbecue pits, 4 tables, a basketball hoop and a tot lot. "

I've lived by this park for most of my life and seen it developed throughout the years. Recently, the park had gone under major renovations with fenced off areas in many places of the park, but even through all the construction work many patrons and families still came by to walk their dogs, exercise, or take their children out to play. The recent construction added a new and improved playground catering to children from ages 2-5 years-old. As well as a new picnic area with three designated locations each with a sheltered high ceiling canopy, barbecue pit, and all weather picnic tables. The park also smoothed out its landscapes leveling off many of its hills. The park features added aesthetic characteristics such as wooden fence posts, added grass area, newly cemented floors, smoothed out gravel pathways, and a growing flower arch. The construction also took care of cosmetics issues with water, electrical, etc. One thing that does bother me about this park is its lack of bathrooms. One stall per gender at one location. The park is huge making it a troublesome task each time. In general this park offers a great potential for an array of activities. The added and newly renovated features has made this park better than ever. The Pine's is a great place to hosts events, exercise and have fun.

Lots of open space and benches as well as party areas. This park is great for any occasion. Has two great playground areas for the kiddos. As well as bathrooms on site! What a gem!!

Nice & clean playgrounds for children

Tennis court. Basketball court. 2 sets of jungle gyms or play ground for the children. Nice park. Minus a star due to restroom. Yuck.

Such a beautiful park!!…read more I've had Delano Manongs Park bookmarked for quite some time and as time passed, I honestly forgot about this place. With an upcoming play date planned between myself and a gf, I was happy that this particular park was picked for our meet up. First things first, this park is MASSIVE! Delano Manongs Park is broken into 10 parts- YES, I SAID 10!! This includes a small and large dog park, multiple gardens, a fitness station, and a number of play structures to keep all your little munchkins happily occupied. The park is very well kept, the restrooms are very doable, and with its large size, there isn't that congested feeling you get with other locations. On top of the many perks, there is a large field to kick or throw around a few balls. The only flaw- and might I add that it is a big one- is the lack of actual shade. Your relief from the sun's powerful rays is limited to the gazebo where the benches are or using the large flower structures as a shield. 5/5 stars all in all. This is lots of fun for kids of all ages.

This is a hidden gem of a park in a quiet neighborhood in Milpitas. We were looking for local parks…read morethat were suitable for a toddler play date and decided to check out this place in person. We wanted to find a park that is relatively new/in good condition and not too crowded to let the little ones safely play. I'm honestly surprised that this isn't a more popular place to bring your kids. I suppose a part of it is because it is a neighborhood park without dedicated parking, although there is plenty of street parking. With that being said, the play area is gated so it is safe to let your children roam with supervision, the play structures are all in very good condition and the padded flooring is intact across the park. Very suitable for toddlers and older children, they even have a baby changing station inside of the bathroom, as well as adequate drinking fountains and drinking fountains for dogs. We were there on a Saturday morning, from 9 to 10am and were the only family there the entire time. This is completely different compared to some of the other parks in Sunnyvale or San Jose, where it can become a zoo by that time. We will definitely be setting up future play dates here.

Definitely meant for the surrounding neighborhoods. There are multiple entrances but are basically towards the end of each street. It seems dog friendly enough with a dog enclosure and easy to stroll around and walk your dog. There's a nice grassy area in the center and I noticed a few instances of owners playing catch with their dogs off-leash. There are picnic tables by the playground and public bathrooms all in the same area. The only water fountain I found was by the picnic/playground/bathroom area and it had a lower fountain for dogs. **Dog park: The dog area was really small, all dirt with one bench. Big dog and small dog are separated but the size is pretty similar to each other with the big dog having just a LITTLE bit more space. It was empty for me except for 1 dog owner but I wonder if there would be more dogs after-work hours for some socialization :-) you would have to walk a little but further down to the main area for water fountain.

There's a playground for small kids, which is well shaded, could be a little windy in the evening here. The rest of the park is not clean and open space. The back has a huge barbecue area the can be reserved with an indoor building. Reservation requirements a 30 day advance booking . Restrooms are available, they may not be too bright in the evening but fairly clean for a park. Large open grass area for kids to play around, it's a dog friendly park. Highly recommended, I hope they will replaced the trees they chopped down to provide more shades in the grass area in the future.

Awesome park, picture perfect. If you, like me, thought Milpitas was somehow a dumpster of San Jose…read more(that is what they described it to me when I moved to the Bay Area) forget the bad rep! Milpitas rock...not only for the rock formations green in spring, totally naked in summer time...but oh those parks! Milpitas is not only bad smells (sometimes, or maybe i got used to it because every time i go, i notice less and less) or the Great Mall. Milpitas has many great parks and outdoors areas and Jose Higuera Adobe is top notch. I parked on the street, could not find a specific area to park but definitively is plenty of parking. This park is located in an affluent area of town, close to the mountains and surrounded by gorgeous houses, some look like mansions. This park is in sync with that idyllic environment. The cacti look terrific, flowers blooming right now, the old house, perfect for romantic decandent looking pictures, you get butterflies, you get tons of grass, playground for the kids, several picnic tables, clean restrooms, water fountains...is its a perfect park. The beautiful adobe house that depicts the Milpitas of other times can be rented out. In fact, i pseudo crashed a Filipino graduation party (the smell of lechon was too tempting) and there was another family celebrating a baby shower. Not crowded, very friendly families around, not sure if it is pet friendly, didnt' see any dog poo anywhere or any dog or parrot or anything similar to pet companion. It was just wonderful experience to be there, breathe and contemplate the flowers (dont forget your sketch book, like me!).
