What a wonderful park to celebrate birthdays and have a picnic. The park is big enough to host a lot of birthdays attendees. Parking is ample; if parking lots are full there's street parking. It's a great spot for East Bay people to meet South Bay people to have a picnic together. I have to say that it is accessible too. read more

Came here for a baby shower and so glad that there was a playground nearby. Lots of space at this park and several parties happening because of it. Love that there were several trash bins around, which helps with overall cleanliness of the park. There was also a baseball field there that was fenced in. The playground is great since there is no tanbark. Two sections - one for younger ones and one for older kiddos. They have some parts that reminds me of Doerr park in San Jose, which I like. On the smaller side, but a great playground. Parking is good - two lots: one by the playground and one after the playground area. No issues on a Saturday afternoon. I'll be back if I'm in the area. read more

This is a great park that has a ton to do you kids and teens. There is an open field and they can skate, play volley ball, or even baseball. It's in a safe location and easy to get to. I would tryst my kid or young cousins to play here in relative safety. Come check it out for yourself. read more

As our family grows, my sister couldn't hold my niece's 1st birthday at her place. So to accommodate our families, my sister and bro in law decide to hold her 1st birthday here! My sister had to get a permit to reserve the picnic area and to consume alcohol. Unwanted guest were kicked to the curb! This park features: - Great shaded picnic area with BBQ pits - Playground area for kids - Multiple baseball fields - And a lot of open areas to do fun outdoorsy things We didn't do any BBQing. All of our food was either catered or home made food. As a special treat for the kids, Treatbot (http://www.yelp.com/biz/treatbot-the-karaoke-ice-cream-truck-san-jose-3) catered the dessert portion for a couple hours. What better place to be for kids to burn off their sugar high. The outcome of the party turned out to be a success. This place is located in a nicely secluded residential area. Unlike other parks I've been too, you'll know when someones party crashing! read more

This park is very fun, it has a skate park next to it and a football FieldFieldField. Definitely coming back soon

When you drive up, you don't expect much. But there's a skate park, a base ball diamond, trees, benches. Everything you would expect at a park. A great, safe place to bring the kids. Let them run off their energy so mom and dad can have an early night read more

Parks, parks, parks. There are so many parks in the South Bay, and I never even realized it! This one is in Milpitas and is a perfect place for Pokemon Go catching. Yes, I'm addicted especially since they released a bunch of new Pokemon. It's near a school, so don't go to far as it will neutralize your game. It's a decent sized park, so have fun while you're here. Perfect place to spend an afternoon with the family. read more

This park is pretty big but most of it is made up by Soccer, football and baseball field's. The kids play ground is pretty tiny. there's a few barbecue pits hear by the playground and a small bathroom that's never clean every time I've used it. this park is more for sports then to come a hang out. the main reason i come to this park is cause my sons football practice is here and i take my other kid to the play ground while he practicing but other then that i don't think i would really come here. if you want to have a baseball game, football or Soccer this place is cool but other then that i would Recommend some where else. read more

Clean and very maintained park. I personally like the BBQ pits and blue picnic tables under the canopy which I've rented ($120) for numerous occasions. Very convenient for large parties especially for kids who can run off and play at the nearby playground, horse-shoe, and baseball field. The parking lot and restrooms are also located near the picnic tables. Another reason why this park gets 5 stars? You can view the annual 4th of July Fireworks Show from the Milpitas Sports Center Field. We usually pay the $3/person admission fee (1 yr. & under is free) and watch the show from the field, but this year we decided to find a spot near the playground...for free! We laid out blankets and used our folding chairs to make a border (cage for the crawling baby). The event began at 7pm in the field, where you can listen and dance to the live band. Firework show began around 9ish and lasted for about half an hour. The fireworks show is always great to watch, but this year, 2013, was the best show so far. I saw new fireworks and just when you think the show is over, it just keeps on coming. The best part of the show is the finale and I love how they changed up the music this year too. Tip: It gets really crowded.... everywhere in the park, be prepared to wait in long lines for the restroom (bring your own bathroom necessities). Bring cash for the ice cream men walking around and random food carts. If you drive to the event, car pool and come early!! Leaving the event is crazy, they block off roads and turn them into one way roads. Back to back traffic may last a while. This park is where I walk my dog when I have the time to do so.The park is very clean and has doggie bags available if you have forgotten yours. It is very clean and I never see any trash around. The park had some upgrades with its playground and picnic area. It has turned out very nice in my opinion with the picnic and the new playground. They have a softball field where my friends and I sometimes play here during the summer. They have 4 smaller baseball fields for the little leagues and a football field. It has one restroom from what I remember which is located by the picnic area. It's an all around park with everything you need to enjoy the outdoors with your company. read more

Great park for parties. There's a large park bench area with tables and two large grills and smaller grills within that same area. The park has a small old little outdoor theatre thing that seems to be used for like day camps when they do skits or talent show type things. I've been to this park several times for other people's picnic occassions and we've celebrated our daughters birthdays here twice. Last year and this year. The park costs $50 to rent and everything is yours. Whats also nice is that there's a large baseball diamond for those who would be interested in playing softball or baseball. Theres a horse shoe pit as well for those who like playing horseshoes! A plus is the the parking area is close to the picnic area so its not such a long walk especially if you're lugging a ton of food. read more

Great location!! Very safe environment went here for a bday party and I can honestly say this park was very clean. Except the restrooms are disgusting. They had no toilet paper or seat covers. It smelled very nasty. They should definitely add more toilet paper. read more

This is a great park next to Milpitas Sports Center. It has the new up to date playground. It's really neat and clean. There are a few softball/baseball field. Also lots of trees and grass for an afternoon nap or picnic or a chat with a friend. It's also in a good neighborhood. This is also the location for the annual July 4th City fireworks and it's free! If you want to jog, there's also the dirt track you can use. I sometime just run around the park chasing my nieces and nephew. Fun fun fun! read more

Great park for a large gathering. We were here yesterday for the 4th. I wish the ball fields had been open, we would have had a lot of fun. The only downside is the single stall bathroom. Seriously?! Who came up with that?! read more

This is a nice quite neighborhood park that is actually bigger than it looks at first glance. It has a soccer field and baseball diamond and a jungle gym. I like it better than a lot of the other park because it offers the most shade. That's hard to find in California these days. No one bothers you when you hang out there. It's dog friendly. There's plenty of parking and three bathrooms. The bathrooms are kept pretty clean and stocked considering. The lawn is always well kept and litter free. There seems to be someone working on the gardening constantly. I moved to Indiana recently, so I probably won't be going here again, but if I'm ever in California, I may stop by to check it out. read more

AWESOME!! Our 2nd year. Fantastic show with accompanying music. We sat in the paid area on the grass and the fireworks were right above us. Long program of at least 20 minutes. There was also a live band - Pacific Soul - and they kept the crowd entertained and energized. Nice music set - though I have to say that last year's (2014) set had a better selection. BTW if you plan to BBQ or grill it's not allowed in the paid section. So bring a picnic/snack or buy from the food trucks. They are parked at the far end of the paid section past the numerous and clean portapotties. Bring a blanket if you plan to be on the grass, folding chairs, a cooler, some type of shade/umbrella coz the sun is bright and warm til 7pm, snacks and ur electronic device/iPhone/iPad. Oh and a cart to lug it all. I also brought an old shower curtain coz the grass gets wetter the longer you sit on it so I laid it down first then put the blanket right on top. Bring light sweaters or extra blankets for everyone. Fireworks don't start until it is well and dark - 930pm at the earliest and it gets chilly as soon as the sun goes down. We were there by 630pm and there was no parking to be found anywhere -we r lucky to have a friend who lives 2 blocks away. Bring cash for the entrance but if u don't want to pay there is plenty of space at the rest of the park - though the view is not as spectacular but still great. Also cash for the food trucks. read more

I love Cardoza Park! It's huge and I've been going here for years. I always walk my dog here and I rarely see dog poo! People seem pretty respectful at this park, which gives me confidence when I walk. There's also a few spots to BBQ and my friends and I have always enjoyed ourselves. My hubby and I also walk around here or go jogging just for fun when we make an attempt to get in shape. It makes me really happy to know there's a nice park where I can go to for anything. read more

Plenty of seating for adults, and plenty of things for little ones to do! There's ample shade. Bathroom is what you expect out of a park bathroom. A lot of parking (either in the lot or on the street) and grassy areas. When we're in the area, we will definitely come back here for my kid to play! read more

A pretty cool park. Decent sized... and with restrooms!!! Interesting in layout and choices in that the park has a play structure for little ones(3-5yrs) but not really one for older. Usually parks that I've seen that have for little kids, also try to avoid the mix with older ids with an older structure too. Horseshoe pit was interesting.... reminded me that I when I have spare time, I should try and pick that up. Not sure if there is enough parking for the 2 baseball diamonds and the picnic table areas that were around, but we went there on a morning where there weren't too many people. read more

Green Green and Green - very nice park adjacent to playground for kids with soccer field. They also have baseball fields for leagues and a football field. Limited Parking area inside the park. Though enough roadside parking spots available. Rest room and picnic bench are there too. Enjoy your outdoors in this park. People gather here for Independent day's firework too. read more

I've always liked this park, even before when their was just that big stage but now with the re-vamp....VA VA VOOM what a beauty this park is. It's really spacious, extremely clean (except the bathrooms but idk any park bathrooms that are amazing) and the playground is so cool! It's high tech with all its rock climbing and spinning wheel thing! Plus they still have that baseball field and the football field behind it so there's so much to do! The grass is clean, there's a parking lot, it's located in a nice quiet area. I could see myself celebrating future bbq's and birthdays here without a doubt :) All in all it's a GREAT park! (Not five stars though because the parking lot is a bit too small and i've gone here when there was very little parking and it was a bit of a hassle =/ but when you go on a day that isn't packed you're good to go!) read more

Cardoza park is a great place to go to with kids or have a BBQ at. It's a fun cute place with a nice playground that is safe for kids to play on. This place is like backyard when I was growing up. Had a family party there, such a great place to have for everything. Theres the playground for kids, a place to play volleyball, baseball, horse shoe. Theres a lot of tables for everyone to sit on. The bbq grills are big, and there are two of them. Theres also a place for you up put all of your bbq things on top of, which is like an island in the kitchen for you. The playground changed so much when I was a kid, i couldn't imagine it. read more

It's a cool park but I've been to better! What the hell is up with one bathroom for each sex? That is not cool!

finally i have found the perfect park for our little family of three:) i love the layout of this park, only wish it had a tiny bit more shade around the playground. it had plenty of shade in all of the picnic areas though, and that makes up for it. i like that there are more than just slides and swings. my bf and i found ourselves spinning on the read stand up thingy lol it was so much fun. this is definitely a park we will be coming back to:) read more

We take our son to this park every week even though we have a park down the street from our house. It has a lot of different things the kids can play with. There's a smaller kid area with your basic park stuff and then there's an area that is more advanced for the bigger kids. It is clean and everything is still pretty new. The bathroom is super gross but I think all park bathrooms are like that lol read more

Grew up playing baseball since a toddler. Great park for barbeques and parties. Or just a quick game of catch.

Never disappoints... Been coming to watch this for several years now. This year decided to avoid the crowd and chose a hilltop view from Vountry club drive off Park Victoria. The vantage point afforded great panoramic views of the vista with up to a dozen fireworks in view simultaneously. The only down side is the get away traffic, however 30 minutes to reach a Milpitas location is not bad! read more
