This park has a nice softball field, infield is dirt and outfield is grass with a fencing that goes around the outfield. In addition, they offer tennis courts, a kids playground, practice walls for handball or racquetball, a basketball court, and some picnic tables. Overall, a nice safe park to enjoy. read more

We came here for the pickleball courts (there are only two). It was occupied on a Sunday afternoon, but in the evening there was just a short wait before we could play (it's far less busy on weekday evenings, sometimes even empty). We ended up having plenty of pickleball fun. All of the sports facilities in this park are lit at night (baseball field, basketball courts, pickleball and tennis courts). A small parking lot, public restroom, tiny picnic area, and little playground are also available. There are no other features that stand out to me, but if looking to play some sports, even after dark, this park is accommodating and feels safe. read more

perfect park with running trail that connects down to milpitas high (stretches abt 2miles out). great view of the hill and some shade, couple benches. u can play tennis, pickle ball, bball, baseball, playground with sand. right by the safeway and gym. very convenient area, peaceful community, busy day and evening. read more

We've been to the tennis courts twice now on Saturday afternoons and most of the courts have been free both days which is rare for tennis courts! This park is extremely out of the way from where we live, but I love that they're always empty and clean. It's nice that there are 3 courts at this park since most parks usually only have 2 courts. The only thing that would make these courts better is if there was a fence separating the individual courts so tennis balls wouldn't roll onto other courts. read more

The most beautiful park I have seen in Milpitas so far. Yesterday I went for a picnic during my lunch break and my colleague and I adored every minute of our visit, especially because we were NOT the only ones carrying one of those cute wicker baskets but also because the walking path was so long we could not finish. So we ate and exercise in a very nice surrounding. What a great combo, totally recommendable. The park is super clean, it was picture perfect. Manicured grass, well cut plants and trees, combination of shade areas and pure down the sun spots with lots of trash cans and also a very decent bathroom. Covered and uncovered BBQ areas as well as tennis courts and areas to practice other sports. This is the ideal park and the houses nearby are so lucky to be in such ideal location. read more

Great park with a set of 3 Tennis courts and 2 pickleball courts. Unfortunately, you have to be weary of your time because a group of drunk uncles think they own the tennis courts on weekend mornings. read more

Stumbled this park by accident during the pandemic. We have gotten take out and eaten it here multiple times. Parking is plentiful. There is a water fountain too. I see people playing tennis here. Located in a really nice part of Milpitas surrounded by beautiful houses. We usually go trick or treating in this neighborhood. There are garage cans here for your trash. Nice little kiddie structure and big kids swings. I've never been to the restroom here so I can't speak on it YET. Park bathrooms are usually a hit or miss. There is a huge grass area and baseball field. I've seen BBQ grills too. Overall this is a very nice park to spend your day. The park is pretty hidden. Not located on a busy intersection. Easy to find though. Near the new 24 Hour Fitness Super Sports and IHOP basically. Just make a left after you pass IHOP. read more

This park is GREAT! It has everything! Large baseball field where you can close all the gates and dugouts and let your dogs run around (it's like an unofficial dog park depending what time of day you go) and I haven't stepped on any poop so I'm assuming dog owners are pretty responsible around here. POOP bags, THICK poop bags are available at certain spots around the park and they refill them Water fountains! Basketball courts, tennis courts, walking paths, picnic tables, shade, wall for hand ball, benches, bleachers, play ground areas with sand, parking lot and street parking, bathrooms! Vending machines. Overall clean, trash bins are never overflowing with trash like some other parks, and overall not ghetto considering the houses surrounding it are nice. read more

I think this is the better of the three parks on this trail. Great place to BBQ or play some sports. This is where Berryessa trail ends and Hatch Hatchy Trail begins. Safe location and they even have Tennis and hand ball courts. read more

Great set of 3 tennis courts here in a peaceful residential area of Milpitas. Do note that quite a few older folks take up the courts during the day even on weekdays, so be ready for a wait sometimes. Restrooms aren't particularly clean, just a heads up. read more

Great, large park. Tennis courts (always in use, so get here early, very early), tennis walls and basket ball court. Large baseball field, plus tremendous amount of open field for soccer, volleyball, etc. Also has two playgrounds plus covered and uncovered BBQ areas. Here is why you should come to gill park: #1 Sports- I am an avid basketball player and the group of folks that come out to play here every afternoon are so fun. A lot of places are real competitive, but here it's a chill atmosphere, good folks, and everyone understands that this is not the NBA. Basketball not your thing? Well there is a beautiful baseball diamond, nice little play ground for the kiddies, and well lit tennit courts. Afternoon time gets busy so be sure to plan accordingly. #2- Picnics- One of the very few parks that provide a roof over their picnic tables. Plus the tables are in close proximity to the courts and grassy area so your guests can take full advantage of the park. #3- Bathrooms- Weird? Yes, I am pretty iffy about using park restrooms, but Gill park is maintains quite well. Far from anything modern or anything you'd find at say...a starbucks... but as far as park restrooms are concerned, they do quite well. #4- Parking- Yes, the dedicated parking lot to Gill park can fill quick especially if there are numerous picnics happening, but not a lot of people realize that the residential parking is fair game. Just be respectful to the neighbors. Also, if you know the secret parking spot through the residential streets on the back, you're sure to find a spot. read more

This is totally my dog's favoriteeeee park! I know this may sound weird, but they have wonderful grass! After having a dog for a year and going to a bunch of different parks, I began to notice how each park has a certain level of quality when it comes to their grass. I live by a park but I always drive over to Gill Park because it makes my dog happy. Since we've gone here every day this summer, he's made a bunch of new friends! He's always really happy and does his business 90% of the time! I always see a lot of family and friends come out here too. It's a great place for BBQs, basketball, tennis, and volleyball. There's also a little play ground little kids always love to play in. The park is spacious and beautiful. I always feel safe because there are a lot of regulars around and everyone is so friendly. The park is always kept clean too! There are no weeds and the grass is trimmed regularly. Also, I don't have to be scared of stepping in doggie feces as much at this park because they have doggie bags for people who don't bring their own. Most days, people have a decency to clean up after themselves. That's like +50 bazillion points right there. read more

This is probably the cleanest public park I've been to. I grew up in Milpitas, and there are several choice parks around here, but I always end up at Gill park whether to play tennis with my dad on weekend mornings, have BBQ afternoons with friends, or hang out with my friend's dog in the field. The tennis courts are kept in good condition, and the lights are very bright, which is a very important quality if you want to play tennis at night and not return a serve with your nuts. read more

This park is small but it's a fun park to be at. Their's always a people here playing tennis, basketball and a bunch of other activities. It has plenty of grass for dogs to play around, plenty of picnic tables and BBQ grills for parties, They offer doggie bags here which the city provides which I think is awesome because I sometimes forget to bring bags to pick up my dogs little poopies when I walk him. They have a baseball field, a basketball court, tennis courts, 2 play grounds as well. My friend throw an annual softball game here every summer and the baseball field meets everything we need to play. A field lol. This park is very clean despite of the amount of people that come here and the people that walk their dogs I see when I am at the park. read more

I never knew about this park till a friend introduced me to it today. I've been looking for a place to play tennis at night (when I have the urges), and lo and behold, this place has it! I've always thought of Milpitas has a pretty ghetto place with no nice parks, but this is one of the nicest parks I've seen around the area! A good park that is well hidden. There is a full enclosed baseball field that I like to let my dogs run free in, 3 tennis courts, a basketball court and 2 playgrounds for kids. There is also a long path that stretches to Hillview where there is another hidden park. I like to walk my dog at the park and they actually just regraveled/paved the path so its no longer a dirt path. There was once a skatepark here but since there were a lot of noise complaints they paved it over and now there is a nice shaded bbq area. Pretty nice park. Nice people. Nice neighborhood. read more

If you're looking for a place some competitive bball on early Saturday afternoons, Gill Park is usually the place to be.

I use to come here early on Saturday morning to play b-ball. They have a nice court and pretty good pick up games. Expect to see alot of people walking their dogs for this park is super dog friendly. The only bad this is, when it get dark it greats really dark so don't expect to stay long hours in the winter. Overall decent park with lots of BBQ grills, a few tennis courts, one full bball court, some swings and a play ground for the little monsters (AKA kids) and one baseball field. read more

Great park for playing tennis! I am new to the area and happened upon a group playing tennis here one evening. I was able to get a few games in and found out that they play here almost everyday around 5pm which is great. Well lit, well maintained courts. There are three courts but everyone seems to get along and follow the rules of not hogging the courts for a long time (1 hour for singles play, 1.5 hours for doubles) The basketball court also looks pretty nice. i just came back from a birthday party at this park, a party for my cousin's one year old daughter. it's a nice park. it has a softball field, lots of grass, tennis courts, walls for bouncing balls against, picnic areas, and a playground. i wish it had a playground for smaller kids since my son's still only two, while the playground is for kids five and up. obviously, i also wish it had a skateboard park because every park ought to be a skateboard park, and that's because skateboarding is good. the picnic area has tables and grills. the ground is pretty clean, and i couldn't smell the landfill on a late winter afternoon, which is good. read more
