What sets this company apart is that they bring everything AND provide a Nerf Coach for the 2 hour Nerf package. We got Coach Jeremiah and he rocked! There were at least 15 kids from ages 6 -16 and he managed them all. He orchestrated lots of fun games and even got the adults in on the action. Coach Jeremiah is the best and I would request him again hands down! He was communicative, professional, and kind to all the kids. He really tried to include everyone and made sure all the kids were safe and having fun. The Nerf Party was for my son's 8th birthday at the park. At the end he said it was the BEST birthday ever. So many other parents asked for the business card as the Nerf was a hit!

Jared arrived at our company site on time and set up the game for us. He told us how the game works, and how to stay safe and have fun. A 1 hour seemed short, however, due to the game's intensity, 1 hour was plenty of time to play. The balls weigh ~13 lbs, so running around can be tiring. Diane was right on time to set up the props she brought, which really added to our own set up and made everything look awesome. She was flexible when I mentioned we had people not interested in fully playing or who potentially needed to leave early--but those people ended up staying for the whole game because they were having a great time. The game is set up so everyone present can still feel involved and enjoy figuring out the mystery. When it was done, Diane quickly and quietly had everything packed up and loaded. It was really fun working with colleagues in a different way. Directors to entry level engineers were on equal playing field making for fun a light competition between teams. The real competition though is between your team and the game to see if you can figure out the clues and put it all together. Tal was very responsive and easy to work with. As with most corporate events the actual head count fluctuated +-3. Tal was very accommodating and understanding of this. We are excited to try out the other events Bay Mystery has to offer!

Although we enjoyed the general plot of the scavenger hunt and liked the experience of narrowing down who the culprit was, we felt that the clues were excessively specific, as we had to skim through every label in each area of the museum to get the information we needed. I think we would've preferred more general clues where you could still enjoy the information in that area of the museum without having to work so hard to search through each line of text. I also felt like the clues given were not very connected to the objects in the museum, and the plot of the mystery didn't seem very relevant to the setting of the museum. This took us out of the environment of the museum and made the experience less enjoyable. I felt that the length of was too long at 2.5 hours, although if the clues hadn't been as specific, perhaps we would have been less mentally exhausted at the end. We felt that it was fairly easy to narrow down the culprit with a handful of clues, so I think it would have made for far more intrigue if the clues were more directly tied to the plot and involved more thinking rather than just piecing together tidbits of information. My biggest qualm was the price of the scavenger hunt. I felt like paying $60 for to cover the cost of the museum admission, the video at the beginning of the scavenger hunt, and the website that was made for the scavenger hunt was very unreasonable. An average escape room in the area is about $40 to $50, and escape rooms have much more upfront expenses for the organizers, including the cost of renting the space, the elaborate props, and the staffing. This was a fairly enjoyable one-time experience, but in the future I would just go to an escape room.
