We spent the majority of time trying to build a car and then trying to race it. Trying to find the right material. Put more weight in the tail for the drag. Learned the wheels wider makes the car go straight. Interesting. This place is definitely for small kids. We rode the ride and laser score some points. We forgot to go watch the 3D movie which plays every 30 minutes. Not quite sure about the laser room. If you pay $6 more, you get on their virtual chair. A little cafe inside. Small place with many staff.

LEGOLAND Discovery Center was nice, but it was a little much for my daughter sensory-wise. There's a lot going on, a lot of noise and activity, so if your child is sensitive, just be prepared for that part. That said, there are SO many different things to do. There are building stations everywhere, interactive play areas, a cool train ride adventure, and a 4D movie experience that was fun to watch. Everything was well put together and clearly designed for kids to enjoy. I would definitely bring her back when she's older because I know she'll be able to enjoy it even more then. Overall, it's a great place with a lot to offer, just better suited for kids who can handle a little more stimulation.

First time visiting to today. Located in the Great Mall in Milpitas, defiantly a fun place to take the kids. Massive lego displays of city's and themes. A awesome movie theater that has a awesome 4D experience. There is an interactive ride with a laser game. There is even a workshop with an instructor teaching how to build things. Staff were very nice and the place was clean. If I have one complaint it has nothing to do with lego land but the lack of parenting. Kids running wild and cutting lines. Parents do better! Maybe lego land has a parenting workshop. Really a good place over all to spend the day. There is a place to eat inside and they do have starbucks.

Legoland Discovery Center was definitely the highlight of our year, my 8.5 year old LOVES Lego and growing up with Lego daddy and I share her passion! She even wore long yellow gloves to look like a Lego character! We chose the Admission + Lego Minifigure + Virtual Reality + Digital Photos + Activity Pack. Her sister is just 1, but she loved the giant Lego blocks in the play area! We had so much fun on The Imagination Express that we rode 2x, in this interactive ride you get to blast things with a magic wand! We also rode the VR ride called The Great Lego Race, did the Laser Maze and had a blast in their 4D movie theater! You can actually feel the wind, rain and snow in this interactive experience! The Activity Pack was fun for my eldest and she received an exclusive Pop Badge on her lanyard when she finished! Before leaving we purchased our eldest a Medallion and then at the Retail Shop, a Build-A-Minifigure, the adorable Dreamzzz Izzie and Bunchurro the Gaming Bunny and a Green Baseplate for building! My hubby is the ultimate Star Wars fan and picked out the Luke Skywalker X-Wing Mech! The Milpitas location can be found in NorCal's largest outlet mall, Great Mall! We'll return to try their cafe and Starbucks located inside! SYOY! :-) *Song Credit: Funny day by Ilya Truhanov Site: https://icons8.com/music/

We saw an online promotion for Teacher Appreciation Month for August 2025 and it was a free ticket for the teacher and 30% off for friends & family so going here was a no brainer. Tickets are normally $29.99 per person so we saved a bunch of money during this promotional time. Highly recommend checking out the online pricing as well as any promotions they are running to get the best deals. I can see why people would be upset if they paid full price for this experience since it technically is not that big, however, I found it to be a pretty awesome time to spend 1-3 hours. I think there were a lot of fun activities to do including: 1.) Magic Wand Ride (Similar to the Disneyland Astro Blaster but not as great) 2.) 4-D Movies (every 30 minutes) 3.) Create Workshops 4.) Lazer Room Ninjango I especially loved their huge lego display of the SF Bay Area with a lot of attractions you should be familiar with if you live here. It also changes from night and day so you can see the Lego's light up which I thought was awesome. There's a lot of interactions with the displays as well such as sending BART from SF to Oakland and things that move. It was really cool for me even as an adult. If your kids are older, I think there is a possibility of spending a good chunk of time here but my toddler at age 2 could not stay too long and was pretty afraid of the big Lego Man walking around. Since it was so cheap, it was still a fun experience for us but I will probably wait until he is older so he can enjoy more things.

Not much for an adult but 3yo toddler was obsessed. Cafe is expensive but lots of cold options. Pretzel (plain) was $2.50 which can't be beat as Wetzels charged me $9 that same week for one pepperoni pretzel. Shop- if you have Lego insiders points, this store does not participate. However, Lego customer service honored my purchase.

I really really wanted to like this place. My family and I go to Legoland California every couple of years and have a blast and I once went to a Discovery Center in Berlin and had a blast. This location? It just felt flat. First off, this place is just sensory overload. There is so much going on and so many kids just running around that it's tough to stay relaxed. A lot of the play areas are also either missing parts from kids taking them from one build area to another, or breaking them, or who knows what. My kids loved doing the car racing activity, but it was tough to even find tires & connectors for them to build off of. I will say that my kids had a blast. So if you're going with kids 8-5 like I was, they'll have fun. But honestly, they were mostly doing things they could've done at our house for free with our Lego collection. I'm glad we got in with a discount because it feels like this place is hugely overpriced for what you're getting. I also want to say that most of the employees here clearly didn't want to be there. They all looked bored out of their minds and just trying to get through the day before they could leave. It was a shame that they didn't have any motivation to interact with and motivate the kids who were there. I will say mainland was cool to see. I like that it's an even more focused area than the massive one in Legoland California. But a lot of the interactive features were broken and you could see broken bricks throughout. It really just feels like this entire place could use a facelift, and a change in personnel motivation. This Discovery Center could be a great family experience. But as it stood during our visit, it was just an overpriced, loud, chaotic version of a family's living room.

First and last time we will come here. While it's a nicely done "indoor playground", we found it to be underwhelming at best especially given the steep prices. The "ride" was about 30 seconds, and the 4D movies, while entertaining, should come with more clear warnings about being splashed multiple times with water. The multiple Lego stations were nicely organized but how about providing some chairs that provide back support for parents? It can't compare to the real Legoland parks. Our kids (who love legos) were bored after about an hour. One less star for the food which you are forced to pay for since you are not allowed in and out privileges nor is outside food allowed. We paid $7 for tiny pizzas with burnt crust. Super disappointing experience!

We first came here a few years ago after wanting to find somewhere different to take my Lego loving children, I'm not sure how we waited so long. We loved our time there so much we became members and now go every other month or so. We recommend doing VR which is $6 or so extra per person and we love the 4D movies and train ride. The cafe is hella slow and hope this improves soon. The offerings and prices are very reasonable which is great. Given its location in a mall, you can always grab lunch or dinner somewhere in the mall before or after (since no in and outs are allowed). We love the Lego store next door as well. If you don't love large crowds, I would say do not come on the weekends or holidays because it gets packed here. Some negatives/cautions: Customer service and staff need to get better training or attention to customer experience. The laser tag is never supervised and kids will literally hop the line or barge into your game which is annoying and can be remedied with a staff member there to monitor. It happens every time we go. Staff in general aren't very attentive of bullies and always seem to be chatting with other staff instead of ensuring optimal experiences for their customers. They do keep the restrooms clean which is great!

This spot was amazing! So interactive for my little guys, so many activities. I think you definitely pay a bang for your buck and the sweet treat is if you're a Lego nerd like the men in my household (myself included) you can choose an exclusive in stores only Lego set to build. My husband and i enjoyed seeing the wonder through our little guys eyes. We definitely will be returning to this fun place again. There's also a cafe with accessible snacks if you want something quick, and also hot snacks if you're in the mood for something warm. Same also with coffee, they serve Starbucks and it hit the spot to have energy to keep up with my littles.

My family and I stopped by this Legoland location during the summer. It was a pleasant surprise, since I wasn't aware that there was a mini-Legoland in the area. We went during the weekend, so it was very busy. Not all of the facilities inside the Discovery Center wasn't open either, such as the restaurants. However, it was still a nice place for our daughter to walk around, explore, and play. You are able to build your own lego that you can take home with you, but I can't remember if it is based on which ticket you purchased at the entrance or not. There is also a short ride that the kids can go on and a movie that the whole family can watch. Overall, it was a fun experience for my family, especially my daughter. There are many things to do to keep the kids occupied so they can burn off a lot of energy. We'll be visiting again soon.

I took my 2 yrs daughter over there very nice and clean. Friendly staff . It is good to spend 2 hours over there but it is a little bit small and it will be boring after 2 hours I wish it was bigger and more exciting

I found this place on instagram and decided to take my son. It's inside a very busy mall. The earlier you can go the better. It cost $34 per person. Adults can't do anything do i personally think they should charge half the price for adults. This was the only reason I gave it a 4 stars. The place has a lot of interactive activities to build legos. It had one little ride that parents can go on. They have a little cafe. There was a 4D attraction but you have to pay extra for it. Then they had a sail boat playground that I think the kids like the most. You can literally do everything an in hour and stretch it to one and a half. I did see two party rooms. As you walk out you have to walk through the store. The prices on things were a little over priced so I opted not to get anything. Overall my son did have a lot of fun.

My son was really disappointed when he saw this was his lunch.

Hi Are we allowed to get customized cake for kid's birthday party?…

    Yes ✅️

I have reservations but realized I need a date change. How do I come about changing? There's no real person to speak to on the line.

Hi Felicia, We can get that changed for you. Just send us an email with your order number and the date you would like to switch to. You can email us at bayarea@legolanddiscoverycenter.com

What is in the activity pack?

Hi Angelina, The Activity Packs are activity books on a lanyard. These have build ideas, a scavenger hunt, LEGO facts and trivia. There are activities that you can do here in the attraction and some that you can do at home.

Is kids under 3 years old free?

Hi Judy, Yes, Children 2 years old and under are free! All guests 3 years old and over will need a ticket, including any adults.

Are there any Legoland branded clothing items or hats?

We don't currently offer any clothing items or hats. We do have LEGOLAND branded license plates with children's names on them and a few LEGOLAND themed LEGO sets (when available).

Are there enough things for a 2 year to enjoy or will they be too small for attractions like the ride?

Can you shop at the lego store w/o buying a entrande pass?

Absolutely! Our retail store is open to the public and admission to the Discovery Center is not required.

My family and I were invited to Hooray Kids Indoor Play Center to celebrate a 3-Rex fun-filled birthday. Located on the upper level of Newpark Mall, the establishment brings a little bit of promise to the dying aura/vibes of the mall. Check in was easy but the 2 Asian females handling registers and check in process could be a lot more friendly, given the fact that their job descriptions deal with families and children. The party room was spacious and some foods/items were already set up. Juice pouches, waters, pizza, pasta, and wings were accounted for except for the fried rice & chicken nuggets. There was a lot of going back and forth regarding what was ordered and what actually arrived. The error ended up being on the businesses part and they offered to get the food within a certain timeframe or allowed for the hosts to cancel. Being that the timeline provided wasn't too bad, they proceeded with the initial food order. The rice and nuggets [which ended up being chicken strips as opposed to actual nuggets] came but a lot later than the estimated time. The party was blocked off from 1pm-3pm and with the delay in food items, eating was pushed out while everyone awaited delivery. The entire food situation was not organized well and the staff had no sense of urgency. The play area is clean but a lot smaller than I expected. The ninja warrior course was great for the older kids and the designated area across the way was great for the younger visitors- offering a small ball pit, floor piano mat, soft play area. The trampoline prohibits adult use and the usage has a max capacity of 4 kids. Nobody followed the rules and the staff didn't bother making rounds to ensure safeties. I do appreciate there being one staff member stationed at the front to allow patrons in and out. That is an extra set of eyes to prevent little ones from escaping undetected. I wouldn't come here out of free will but I'd partake should there be another party invite. My advice is keeping an eye on your kids and bring some hand sanitizer because the kiddos visiting here come equipped with runny noses and congested coughs.
