We just threw our baby's first birthday here & everyone had such a blast! The kids of all ranging ages at our party had a great time, no one was bored & they did not want to leave when it was time to go. Birthday girl had a great time exploring, playing and eating. The team were so easy to work with from the email correspondence on my Cinnamoroll themed table vision to day of set up. The staff were super quick & accommodating when they were assisting me with the set up. They helped me string up and put a HBD banner and set up my little one's high chair and way more like help bring stuff in, stock the drink fridge, set out the pastries, etc. They just knew what to do & did it straight away. I was amazed by the speed and professionalism! If only I had this level of set up at every birthday party. Barely any dictation or answering questions was needed. What a hugeeee lift off the mental load! There's a dedicated drink fridge in front of the register that kept our drinks chilled and easy for guests to grab. The food table is nice and long so it held a lot of food & we had A LOTT of food. We opted for the photo package too which was nice because usually being the host means you're too busy to take photos and get photos taken of your family. Overall, I highly recommend this place for your little one's special event! I only wish that this place was bigger so that we could invite more friends to our event. However, being smaller means more intimate events and those who are invited should feel super blessed and lucky to have made the cut! read more

The event space was spacious and although the toys, play structures, and walls show some wear you can tell that care has been put into maintaining and cleaning the place. Our group ranged from 11 months to just over 2 years old, and there were plenty of suitable toys for our age group. There were plenty of toys to go around that the kids were not trying to take things from one another. I think if they put a fresh coat of paint on things or maybe invested in some newer toys this place would be 5 stars. Our little one loves it here. She is really picky and this is one of the only places we go to that she LOVES and can spend a lot of time at. Do wish they have more hours for play. So far it's T-Th 10am - 2pm. You only pay for the kid which is nice - $25/2 hours. They have two spacious unisex bathrooms with kid friend toilets etc. Free coffee and water. We celebrated my daughter's 4th birthday, it wasn't horrible but definitely will never book this place for a party again. Pros: They have a lot of toy, and even though some seen a little old and used up still kids enjoyed playing with everything. The place is truly privet party, unlike some other places where they have different rooms per party. The place is on a smaller side but for a 15 kid party felt fine and there was a lot to do for everyone. When I arrived in the very beginning before the party, they helped me to decorate the place and put the drinks in the fridge. Cons: After the party started both people disappeared into the other part of their business (where they take professional photos). So anytime during my party when I had a question, they were not there. Whenever I needed help I had to run to the other part and ask for someone to come over the Lemon Tree to help. Because I would go and ask for assistance, they eventually locked the staff door for me not be able to go to them and were left all alone. 30 min before the end time we wanted to cut the cake but had no knife (I was told it should be provided) which I assume was in the kitchen that was not open to guests. Had to run to the car, grub a knife not suited for cake cutting, that was a disaster so I ended up entering taking a knife from their kitchen then cut it all by myself. So when I finally served it, it was 5 min before the end of the party, and that's only when they showed up just to tell us all to leave. We all had to rush to leave the place and they absolutely didn't help with packing or moving things to the car. May be good for an open play where you don't need assistance but will for sure skip for future birthday parties. read more

The manager there helped us with it but also half an hour is really less time. We had 6 people total who were decorating on full speed and yet it took us a good 45 mins to decorate everything according to put theme. The space is great for kids independent play and parents to get a breather :) Most kids who could walk were playing independently and others were just hanging out with their parents. Came for an open play which they have Tuesdays through Thursdays, 10am to 2pm. It's $25 for two hours, up to 3 persons in same household. They offered complimentary keurig coffee, but you have to drink it in the seating area, since there have been spills in the past. The area is small, but they have some nice wooden toys from Hape and Melissa and Doug. Again, since the area is small, it got pretty crowded when we were there, which made it harder for my little to be able to play with things. The owner stays in a back room (the connected photo studio) and is available if you ring a bell. We paid upfront ($25 for two hours) We stayed for 1 and a half hours and there was no one else there during that time. Another family was coming in as we were leaving. I think we only managed to play with 1/3 of the toys there. Plenty more to explore when we come back. They let you bring your own food (to be eaten in a large eating area). I am happy for this place to have finally re-opened! They have done amazing job re-modeling the place while it was closed. I loved the themed areas of outdoor picnic/campfire, kitchen, and beauty parlor and baby care, and train station and cars. They have tons of new toys and books as well. My 3 year old had so much fun. I also appreciated that there are multiple padded baby-centric areas. I also love that they now have a fancier coffee machine that makes lattes! Coffee and tea is free during you stay, and you can also bring your own food to eat. Covid policies: Currently you can book for an hour of private play for $100 or 2.5 hours for $200. They allow 10 people in your group, and it can be up to 3 families. They take everyone's temperature prior to allowing entry. They allow 30 minutes between groups to sanitize the facility. The staff leaves the area during the time, and you just ring a bell if you need assistance. Overall, the rate is a bit steep for single families, but understandable for these times, and comparable to other indoor play rates I have seen. Great option for indoor play during all this smokey weather. and they have a huge air purifier running as well. I was happy with our experience, and will be back again when the kids and I need a special treat! read more

We had our daughter's 3rd birthday at LemonTree. Jiin was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was responsive to all questions I had before we booked, helped adjust timing as needed and lent a hand when we were decorating as well. The place itself is heaven for 2-5 years old. My daughter and her friends went crazy there. I'm even thinking to take them there again for open play sometimes. It's completely childproof, just perfect space for 20-25 people. Different theme play areas that kids explored on their own. Gated so no worries for the adults socializing at the same time. The best of all is - total area is booked for one party. I came here on a Tuesday during lunch time. There were about 5 other parties at Lemon Tree, which was nice because there were other children but not so many that it felt crowded. I brought my 10-month-old daughter, and I wasn't sure if there'd be enough activities for her to do since she's not yet walking. However, since she likes to pull to stand and stand while holding onto furniture, there was plenty for her to do. I especially loved the padded gym area for her to crawl and explore. That room was very clean, and the foam blocks were in great condition. In the main play room there is a train table, kids table with chairs, bookshelf, small structure with steps and a slide, and wooden boat for children to sit in. There are a number of pretend play structures- a few different play kitchens, canvas cafe booth, and wooden house. Lemon Tree has quite a bit of Hape wooden toys, and I appreciated the quality of their items. There were very few plastic and/or battery-operated toys. I loved how clean and well-maintained the space was. Shoes are not allowed inside, so you leave them in the front but there are slippers to wear while you are there. Food is allowed in the cafe area and also in the play area, which is great and very practical for families with kids. I would say it's a wonderful place for families with kids 5 and under! $15 for one adult and child- you have to pay $5 for each additional adult/child and additional $5 for an extra hour. read more

Private plays are offered at 200$(2.5 hour), but if you say it's your child's bday, even though you don't want any additional services from them it is 500$. And what is different from private play?? They provide: table cloth, backdrop & cake stand for 300$ more. Mindyou there is extra additional charge for any decor you request. I took my son here for the first time this week, and he loved it! Several times I asked him if he wanted to leave, but he was so happy that we ended up staying there almost four hours, for nearly the entire open-play time. It was quite busy in the morning because of spring break, but by 11:45 am, the crowd had thinned, and we were able to enjoy more of the space to ourselves. The owner is super sweet and welcoming. This is a very cute, asian-cartoon, hipster decorated play space for YOUNG children. Ideally for kids 9 months to 5 years old who tend to have a more gentle disposition. While the interior is very cute, the location is in a weird disjointed strip mall along the very busy and quite ugly part of El Camino Real. Parking out front is very limited, but there is street parking and some additional spaces around the building. I've been here for both play time and for a birthday party. Weekday play: $15 for 1 adult + baby (additional is $5/pp) for 2 hours of time. My son only lasted 40 minutes before his nap time kicked in. It's located by his pediatrician, so we stopped in for some play time after his doctor appointment. Birthday party: It's a smaller venue so you can have 35-45 adults maximum + maybe 20 kids. While there was clearly a sign for no shoes when we visited for the weekday play, I didn't see a sign for the birthday party. For the weekday play, they have a sign and a gate that is closed so you don't walk in automatically. At the party, there is no sign and the gate is wide open, and while the invitation says "no shoes $100 fee applies" it's quite easy to forget upon arrival with little one(s) in tow. Offenders were scolded a bit too harshly upon stepping in (always within the first 3 steps!). The decor package makes it convenient for a party, and so they provide all of the dessert stands. They were plating cookies onto dirty dessert stands, which seems to me to go against the idea of no shoes to keep things clean. This was disappointing. For these 2 points alone, I'd say not the best experience, but still an overall good one. Cheers. read more

Adorable play space with the sweetest owner! I've brought my three kids ages 5 months to 4 years for open play a few times even though we live 30 minutes away. My kids never want to leave, and it's a convenient way to chat with other parents as the kids play. The space is very clean and has quality toys like Hape, Green Toys, Melissa & Doug, etc that cater to many interests. There are mini themes like a camp ground, kitchen, salon, and climbing area, and also cute private houses for those who may need a sensory break. Jiin, the owner, is available if you need her and was so kind to hold my baby and engage with my other two. It's a bit confusing to find at first because the surrounding businesses are undergoing a bunch of construction. It shares a space with Tangram Studios, so look for Tangram Studios' sign. I looked into hosting a party here, and if the price seems steep, it's worth it if the kids are occupied and everything is contained in one Insta ready area! Like many small businesses, this one was hurt by the pandemic. Since there aren't many quality indoor play spaces like this left in the Bay, I hope this one thrives! read more

My review is for the cafe side, not the photography section nor any special events stuff that they do also. There are many good things about this place, and a few things I hope that improve as time goes on and they settle into their wings! This is a new business, and I think a new type of business in the South Bay. Personally, I have been waiting for something like this forever it feels like, and its definitely a new favorite place for me when I don't want to go to a park. In a quick summary: This is a "Mom's Cafe" (dads welcome too). Meaning, for an entry fee of $10 +1 child (extra siblings $5, not sure about other "guests" ie aunt/grandma), you can hang out with your baby/toddler/child and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, and let your kids run around in their playroom area. At this time, there is no posted time limit on your stay. Its not a playground, its not a daycare and its not a billybee's or whatever that place is. I found it to be more of an intimate communal play space for the kids - and its not a formal cafe. Someone mentioned in one of the mom's groups I am in, that it reminds them of the "Moms Cafe's" in South Korea, which are very popular there for mom's to come and just relax with their babies. More Details: Parking is very limited to in front of their building (not the other buildings in the strip mall), behind their building though its best to try to park ON El Camino This is a shoes off cafe. They have a nice shelving area and guest slippers if you want to use a pair, and a good stroller parking area too. Cafe items are limited: no outside food or beverages allowed, except food for your kids (baby food). They have a selection of sandwiches, cookies, cheese, chips and drinks available but its very limited (only PBJ sandwich for vegetarians at the time I went). Good prices but some items are CASH ONLY. They do have some high chairs that are good. The playroom is a work in progress. I talked with one of the women running the business and she said many more items are ordered but haven't arrived, including some mirrors, which the kids will love. They have an assortment of plush animals, balls, puzzles, little faux kitchen, teepee, big drawing table with coloring pages (more crayons less markers would be awesome), books, duploo blocks and other misc toys. The playroom is a great size for kids, but gets very small very fast if hovering moms feel the need to be right next to their kids. If the moms could sit just outside the playroom, then it would be more spacious. I think a missed opportunity is in this room with establishing benches around or near the windows for the moms to sit on. Some mom's do have babies that need assistance in the big kids play area, so things just get full fast. They have a TV but it will never be on for week days, its for use for the special events parties that they have where people want to show pictures of their children (such as a 1yr old party and you want to show from birth to one year etc). They have a very sweet small newborn or tummy time area for kids who aren't moving quite yet. The rug is a nice thick one, with cute floor cushions for you to be with your baby. Its away from the busy and noisy kids playroom, but with a window for you to view the playroom - so if you have two kids and you need to line of sight one or the other, you have it covered. The bathroom is very sweet with a changing table for kids, and a small footstool for little ones to wash their hands. The mornings are much busier than the afternoons, but don't let that stop you from stopping by!! Things I'd love to see: * sanitizing of the toys after the morning crowd leaves and the afternoon comes * more vegetarian food offerings, particularly sandwiches (or a sandwich) * black ice tea, plain instead of flavored ones if possible for non-coffee moms * some limited musical toys like rattlers or shakers, that are fun but not distracting * bench in the playroom so hovering moms sit away from rug and let their kids play instead of taking up space in the room with the kids Overall, this is a great space with a sweet energy. I am very excited to see how they blossom and I hope they stay in business for many years to come and we see other play spaces like this pop up in our area. As a new mom, its incredibly difficult to find indoor spaces like this where I can relax so its on the top of my list of places to go now! read more

What a cool place!! Brought my 4 kiddos age 1-6 in for a day of play! They are open Wednesdays and Fridays from 10-2 for open play. The price is a bit high, but honestly it is worth it! The kids played and were so happy with all the toy choices! There were so many areas to play, a huge kitchen, imaginary play home area, car area, soft play, food truck, small baby area, sensory board and so much more! I was extremely happy with their COVID protocols. Everyone got their temperatures taken and there is hand sanitizer all over. There is even a air purifier! We sit in the play kitchen and were able to view our kids from all angles. Has quiet nooks for books and all sorts of play things to engage the kids' all senses. They thought of every toy imaginable. Everything is well kept and organized. Remember to bring socks for the family, no shoes allowed. The kids have so much fun they didn't wanna go home.
